00:00Here in Barangay Ginamgaman, in the municipality of Conair, you can find the famous Mahiwagang Talon.
00:19Of course, the I-wonder team will not miss it.
00:24When our van arrives at the jump-off point,
00:26this is where all the equipment will be prepared to go up.
00:30Everything will be left behind, not just the camera.
00:37One of the places to pass is the vast corn field.
00:41This is where you can feel the non-stop heat of the sun.
00:56I don't want to go anymore. It's too far.
01:01I don't know where to go.
01:04It's just here.
01:06I don't know.
01:07I still have a lot of work to do.
01:25I still have a lot of work to do.
01:26I still have a lot of work to do.
01:32After almost two hours, the I-wonder team arrived at Banao Anito Falls.
01:43This is called Banao, which means a deep part of the water.
01:49Because of the deep and calm water here, it can reach up to 30 to 40 meters.
01:57And the depth is 6 to 8 meters.
02:02That's why Anito has the name of the jump because of their belief that there are people who take care of the jump.
02:11And this jump is not just for fun. It can cure diseases.
02:16At the back of the beautiful and calm Banao Anito Falls, according to the elders, there are people who take care of this place.
02:31One of the people who will prove this is Father Agapito, who has been living in Barangay Ginamgaman for 55 years.
02:38When we were kids, our parents told us that when they go night fishing here,
02:46there's a light here. We call it pitat.
02:58It's also a belief here that you can ask for anything from Anito.
03:03And what the people who go here usually ask for is to heal their painful feelings.
03:10And for Anito to fulfill their wishes, they have an ally for the people of Anito.
03:16When we get this, when we display it, we don't need anything else.
03:26When we display it, we don't need anything else.
03:32It's a spirit. You can't get it.
03:38One of the people who was able to heal the pain was the husband of our wanderer, Dindo,
03:43one of the workers in Barangay Ginamgaman.
03:47His anus got swollen. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't open his mouth.
03:53We went to the hospital. They gave him medicine for 5 days.
03:59Nothing happened.
04:04But when Dindo gave his anus, it was a miracle that his wife's anus got swollen.
04:13But just a reminder, wandering people,
04:16they don't just do it because Anito says that it's dangerous.
04:23And as a respect to Anito, the I-Wander team also performed a traditional dance called Tadok.
04:39These beliefs are a proof that Apayaw is not only a rich and delicious food,
04:46but also rich in culture and tradition.
04:52The I-Wander team is proud to be a part of the I-Wander team.
