Transcript
00:00 As composers, we're always trying to push the boundaries
00:03 of sound design and composition.
00:06 We first worked with Luca on Bones and All.
00:09 When that film wrapped, he mentioned Challengers.
00:12 The way he described Challengers was on a one-sentence email.
00:16 "Do you want to do my next film? It's going to be super sexy."
00:20 - Oh, come here. - Two X's.
00:26 Challengers had two elements that were very powerful in terms of sound.
00:30 One was the erotic, crunchy pulse of tennis.
00:35 The racket swinging.
00:37 The ball hitting.
00:39 Bones crushing.
00:41 And on the other hand, the pulse and energy of the score.
00:46 Luca said, "What if all the music was driving, thumping techno,
00:51 like a heartbeat that makes a movie fun?"
00:54 Let's go!
00:56 It allows the audience to feel this fire between these characters
01:00 that never goes away.
01:01 Decimate that little bitch.
01:03 It's about the excitement and simultaneously,
01:06 there's an order and a thoughtfulness to the score.
01:10 - I love you. - I know.
01:12 We really tried to create the most powerful sonic experience possible.
01:18 It's constantly changing, and that's what makes it really fun.
01:21 Come on!
01:24 COMING SOON
