00:00 Boxers you know the rules protect yourself at all times keep it clean
00:05 touch gloves back to your corner. He's a big lightweight is Jalen Tate but he's
00:12 conceding a little height and a little reach here to Alexander Espinosa who is
00:19 on a 12 fight win streak we don't see that a lot a 12 fight win streak dating
00:25 back to 2018 so pre pandemic once again right hand versus left hand it is
00:32 Espinosa from Ecuador in the black Jalen Tate in the white from North Queensland
00:39 and arguably the best-kept secret so far in Aussie boxing great to have him on a
00:46 national stage here tonight and there's something quite special Nathan. Yeah I'm
00:52 really looking forward to this one obviously Jalen Tate is the best-kept
00:55 secret in Australian boxing he's got he's full of talents and I think he's
01:00 going to be a world champion very very soon he's this is obviously his breakout
01:03 performance of the international stage if you can get a great win here that
01:07 really set up things for his future that's for sure. Very calculated look at
01:14 that wide base of Jalen Tate, legs and feet long way apart, establishing his power base he really does bend at the knees and launch when he does. I honestly think he's
01:28 Australian, Australia's version of Colonel Sweet Pea Whitaker Jalen's obviously
01:33 southpaw stance, outstanding defensive skill and strong counter punching abilities
01:37 definitely reminds me of the legend himself. The Sweet Pea, wasn't he something to
01:44 watch just amazing Colonel Whitaker the great man the hall of famer.
01:50 Espinosa, sharp, very side on both guys particular Espinosa what being side on does it
02:02 presents a minimal target zone for your opponent. Makes it harder to hit.
02:10 Tate launching forward, counter punch there from Espinosa. You can see he's very crafty
02:19 all you need is 30 seconds to see the skill level of these two fighters you
02:23 can see the keeping their distance very very well keeping the power at the end
02:27 of their punch. It's more of a chest match this one. Good shot there from
02:35 Espinosa and there's a receipt from Jalen Tate. Cobralight with that left
02:40 hand as a counter punch wasn't it. Yeah very good very sharp very fast.
02:46 Great uppercut there from Jalen Tate. Very unorthodox to lead with it but it is very effective nonetheless.
02:54 We've seen it before. The uppercut is a lead punch from Jalen Tate.
02:59 Plenty tried very few pull it off. Tate has. It all comes from the feet Andy's
03:04 just so balanced so well balanced with the feet. Puts his feet in a position he
03:10 creeps under his opponent's guard and just sort of gets his feet into positions
03:15 that no one even knows is happening and it's already all of a sudden there and
03:18 his punches follow with it.
03:22 Yes nice one.
03:24 There's only respect there from two world class athletes. Both guys put together brilliantly. Both guys you can just tell that they're at a different level than what we've seen so far tonight.
03:38 That's respectfully to the first three fights but this is a step up in
03:43 experience and class. Oh it is the international level Andy. This will be a
03:49 breakout performance. Whoever can get this win is going to put him in real
03:52 good stead to challenge for that world title down the track. This is the
03:56 international level no doubt.
03:59 Big shout out to to our great friend Jeff Fennec and former or never former
04:08 four-time world champion obviously getting released from hospital just
04:12 recently post-surgery so we're wishing him and his family all the best in his
04:17 quest to get better. Esther, Jeffrey get well soon and to the nurses that looked
04:22 after Jeff for the last week we hope you recover as well. It'd be quite the
04:28 patient wouldn't he Jeffrey? He's very excitable all the time but he's
04:35 heart's as big as fire laps. He's the best man one of the best men I know
04:38 that's for sure. We know Jeff's watching tonight hope you're enjoying the show
04:44 mate and great to hear that you you're out and on the men. Enjoy Jaylen Tate
04:50 quite sure you are. Alexander Espinosa. Our semi main event our main event is
04:56 Taylor Roberts and Gloria Gallardo and it's for the IBA super flyweight world
05:01 title. Taylor Robertson in fight number 11 having a crack at a world
05:07 championship. Against a former world champion Gloria was flyweight world
05:18 champion so she stepped up a couple kilograms. Superfly division. They're only
05:25 very short or very small divisions in the female especially those lighter
05:29 weight. Only a couple kilos like you said so won't take too much of a toll that's
05:34 for sure. Tate with a good punch and striking with that left hand nice right
05:45 hand nice straight right there from Espinosa. Yeah he had two fights last year for two
05:49 great wins. He's trying to start off 2024 in the same way left off 23. Jaylen Tate's
05:57 best win against Kai McKenzie perhaps. Yeah that was a good that was a good really
06:01 breakout performance. He gets a really seasoned throw and he broke him down and
06:07 just yeah just done it so easily that night. Yeah didn't he.
06:12 A bit of a chess match this one so far. Espinosa marching forward with the feet and
06:26 striking with a nice straight right hand. Certainly got the skills as
06:32 Alexander Espinosa. Body shot there to counter. A little bit low but I think that was pretty fair to be honest.
06:44 Yeah John Watson's in a better position than we are but. Oh there was two
06:51 great body shots. Espinosa looked up as if to say what the. And that's a great body shot from Jaylen Tate. He gave it back that's for sure.
07:03 That left elbow of Espinosa it's not guarding the ribs at all it's a really
07:13 funny angle almost a wide angle and I reckon Jaylen Tate's gonna fancy his chances with a
07:18 right hand straight into the ribcage at some stage. Back to the corner as we go into the round done.
07:26 Jaylen Tate, Alexander Espinosa our semi-main event.
07:32 See some replays of that previous round and another really good crafty
07:40 performance so far from Tate. You can see he's still trying to find his distance
07:44 but he's scoring some beautiful shots and so is Espinosa to be fair because
07:49 both boys you can see there was that body shot that we caught throughout that round and I think it was a fair shot.
08:12 Tate in the corner his father very experienced corner with Steve in the corner as well
08:19 very very good loving relationship in the blue corner that's for sure. Back into the action.
08:28 The chess match continues stark contrast to what we saw last up between Ben Horne and
08:36 Lewis Tadwick even the fight before that with Ken Aitken and Adam Flood.
08:41 Very calculated these two a real sign of respect for their opponents.
08:49 As Jaylen Tate has matured we've seen him
08:56 slow his mind as well as his hands in the early rounds and get a real look at his opponent when
09:03 he's figured them out then he launches. Early in his career he was launching from the start.
09:09 Well he was launching from the start because he could obviously at this level you've got to pay
09:13 respect to your opponent that's exactly what he's doing. If you make a mistake you usually get
09:18 usually get caught coming in so he's doing all the right things here Jaylen and
09:24 showing maturity beyond his years.
09:26 Jaylen circling around to his right and then straightening up with the left hand to the body.
09:42 As we said earlier it normally gets a little messy right hander versus left hander.
09:52 I don't know if that's the case with these two because they're
09:55 they're such athletes and they're such smooth boxers. Yeah and keeping their distance really
10:02 well as well that's probably why they're not on each other's chest. Just beautiful technical
10:06 boxers as soon as they're they're not they're not in distance they're not throwing punches so they
10:11 only they only commit to breaking down that distance when they're coming in with punches.
10:20 This is round three three of ten sponsored by Ultratune.
10:26 Nice slip there from the Wolf Jaylen Tate.
10:33 Gee sees them well Jaylen Tate doesn't he? Oh unbelievable. He's slipping and moving almost
10:50 before the punch has been thrown. And throws a punch micro seconds after as a counter so he's
10:55 just he's the full package this kid. Oh two quick shots there from Jaylen Tate.
11:01 Oh he's winding up here the the level of confidence on Jaylen Tate growing.
11:14 Ten seconds remaining in the round.
11:16 Both guys difficult to hit. Great example that the last 20 seconds both wanted to
11:28 lay leather on the other's nose but they just couldn't.
11:30 As we know Andy there's levels to this sport and this is really really high level here you can see
11:43 the boxing IQ on both these two fighters is exceptional especially the man coming out of
11:48 the blue corner Jaylen Tate. His eye is second to none he's just making a miss by that slightest
11:54 of margin and then coming back with his own. An unbelievable talent.
12:13 Soaking it all in he's quite the student and he's having a dance here Jaylen Tate.
12:18 And this is this is scary for Espinosa because when he's confident he's a dangerous fighter
12:26 and you can see he's starting to gain more confidence he gets looser he gets more
12:30 adventurous with his shots and that could play really bad for Espinosa. Tina Turner simply the
12:38 best playing in between rounds and Jaylen got to his feet a little early and had a dance the
12:44 crowd thought it was terrific. I don't know what Alex Espinosa would be thinking watching him
12:50 the dance over the other side of the ring. Does Tate even know who Tina Turner is?
12:57 I don't even want to think that simply the best came out and make us both and all feel old.
13:06 Oh good shot there from Tate. Almost walked into a an uppercut there did Jaylen Tate.
13:14 See what he is good at is changing levels. Keep your eye on Jaylen Tate as his confidence grows.
13:26 Might have a box issue no as his confidence grows his ability to throw to the body
13:36 to the head and then back to the body. There's no interruption there's no
13:41 there's no comedy it's it's all very fluid it's it's terrific to watch.
13:47 Doesn't waste punches either and we've spoken about this in some of his past fights
13:57 and you will see it and there was just an example of it then he'll come in and throw one he misses
14:03 the second punch and he realizes it's not on but instead of going on with it he takes half a step
14:09 back and resets himself which is a skill within itself that that takes a lot longer to to establish
14:19 than than his 14 fights. Final minute of round number four. Let's get our main event for the
14:33 IBA super flyweight world title Taylor Robinson and Gloria Gallardo. 10 two minute rounds.
14:38 It should be noted too Espinosa had hundreds and hundreds of amateur fights as well so you can see
14:50 he knows his way around the ring that's for sure he's only had obviously the the 20 pro fights on
14:55 paper but he's probably had another 200 on top of that in the amateur circle so that's why he knows
15:02 his way around the ring and that's why he's so fluid himself. Just his second fight out of Mexico
15:07 he's had a fight out of Mexico he was in Belize and it was a bit of a history lesson for myself I
15:14 had never heard of Belize it's not too far from Mexico basically neighbors same neck of the woods
15:21 only a very small country but he was victorious there he's looking to keep that away record good.
15:28 Another really good round both boys showing spurts of what they can do.
15:41 Tate probably once again be more effective in round four he just just knows how to measure
15:50 his opponent so well and get his opponent at the end of his punch. Such a tactician such a talent.
15:57 Looks like there's a a nick there underneath the right eyebrow of Jalen Tate and that underneath
16:20 the eyebrow is the last place in the world you want to cut and if you're new to boxing it's not
16:28 always the size of the cut in fact very rarely is it the size of the cut the referee or the doctor
16:36 will look at it's the blood flow and whether the blood is going into your eyes now when the cut is
16:42 underneath the eyebrow it's almost certain the blood is going to go into the eyes let's hope it
16:48 doesn't get to that but um something to be wary of for Jalen Tate. I don't think he's been marked
16:57 up in any of his previous fights from memory. He doesn't get hit much yeah he doesn't get
17:01 hit he's just so good but obviously this is that next level and it's a fight so you're going to get
17:06 here to time especially at this level but I mean I hope that he doesn't come to that but
17:14 the insurance is past four rounds Andy so we'll probably go to the scorecards even if it does get
17:19 stopped early. Just tapping away here both boys a nice line hand from Espinoza just
17:26 probably didn't find the chin but found the beard of Jalen Tate.
17:30 Wide base still.
17:39 He pushes off that back foot. Moves in with the front foot Jalen Tate. That's when the hands start firing.
17:46 Yeah this kid's good Espinoza's good he knows his way around the ring
17:52 former Ecuadorian national champion so he's held tight with himself you can see
17:58 oh as Jalen tries to put an exclamation mark on this bout marching forward now.
18:05 Back into it Jalen Tate has up the power and up the work rate now it's up to Espinoza to how
18:22 he responds. Yeah he caught him a couple of times as he was coming in there Tate
18:25 you don't see it often him getting caught so that's why I had to report it.
18:33 Oh good right hand again from Espinoza good really good counter punching.
18:37 A little left that just grazed the whiskers of the wolf.
18:42 Just incredible hand-eye coordination the Jalen Tate in the white trunks.
19:01 Oh the blood is now a bit more severe more prominent anyway for Jalen Tate.
19:08 There's still five rounds in this contest too so there's still plenty of time so that will open up
19:14 no doubt good shot there from Espinoza. See if we can get a shot of that right eye of Jalen Tate as
19:20 they go back into the corner. Stevie Rowland in there he's got the the towel straight away you
19:27 can see the blood flow inside the nose on the right side. Trying to establish exactly where it is.
19:37 See some replays here from round five. It was a much better round for Espinoza even though he
19:46 got caught there with a cracking shot from Tate but I just found that he's sort of come back into
19:52 this contest in that round scoring with some really good shots himself.
19:57 And that's Steve Edwards in the corner not Stevie Rowland.
20:11 There wouldn't be a weekend or a week goes past without Stevie Edwards in the corner
20:20 of someone probably more than just one. I wouldn't mind his frequent flyer miles.
20:26 Very very experienced cut man now he I think he first started out with
20:31 the great Jeff Horn to be honest.
20:34 Back into it Jalen Tate, Alexander Espinoza we're into the second half of this fight.
20:45 10 rounder is the journey and we established a couple of rounds ago probably two rounds ago a
20:54 little bit of blood just coming from underneath the right eyebrow of Jalen Tate. As a result round
21:01 five we saw him step it up a little and has there been another head clash here or is Espinoza
21:08 being opened up I think you'll find on the outside of his left eye. Yeah it's a better
21:16 spot obviously than Jalen's because it's on the outside yeah the blood will flow on the
21:21 outside of his eye so it won't impair his vision you wouldn't think.
21:34 Everyone at ringside covers their drinks wishes they hadn't worn white shirts
21:38 as the blood starts spraying from Alexander Espinoza.
21:43 What it does do even in the subconscious it presents a target to your opponent.
21:53 A
21:56 battle of the IQ isn't it Andy it's just sort of very very technical this fight as we knew it would
22:14 be and that claret is becoming more prominent on Espinoza's face now. Probably the wrong person to
22:22 talk to about IQ behind hovers around the screen.
22:24 Both very very clever kids inside the ring.
22:33 I've been told early on about cuts in in fights and it's not even so much
22:48 the result of the fight it's the result of the cut and every cut eventually gets reopened
22:55 and reopened and the scar tissueing then becomes an issue then becomes a target and ultimately it
23:03 becomes a weakness and we're certainly not anywhere near that for Jalen Tate but you
23:10 want to get through as many fights as comfortably as you can without busting up the eyes because
23:18 more times than not they're the first thing that goes.
23:20 End of the round again Jalen Tate, Alexander Espinoza this is our semi-main event our main
23:34 event Taylor Robinson, Gloria Gallardo for the IBO Superflyweight world title.
23:43 Another good round both boys sharing their success and it was a cracking right hook
23:49 there scoring for Tate he's had the more effective shots overall but it's a great battle.
24:09 Intensity I thought just from my spot just dropped a little in that last round after the
24:16 fifth and sixth round and the increase in intensity and the increase in our pull I thought we were
24:21 in for a massive round. Probably the eye of Jalen Tate there's a there's a bit of swelling which
24:30 is expected but a bit of swelling right on the right eyebrow. Probably been called by
24:38 previous fights too Andy Tate, I guess they all have been crackers so far
24:42 but at that time were harsh critics. Yeah good right hand there from Jalen Tate.
24:49 It is easy from here though isn't it? It is very easy.
24:51 Espinoza.
24:57 Jesus a classy looking boxer.
25:06 He's got that one punch knockout in him at this level anyway.
25:11 He's had the eight KOs from the eight wins so he's got enough pop but not
25:20 not a devastating puncher wouldn't suggest. Jalen Tate on the other hand has eight KOs as well but
25:26 only the 14 fights so he's the much heavier handed of the two you'd think. 12 fight in
25:32 the street for Espinoza. As I said dating all the way back to pre-pandemic so on quite the run
25:41 quite confidence and probably he can make an argument for at the top of his game
25:48 but is his best good enough to best Jalen Tate. This stage you would say no.
26:01 Round seven halfway through it. Contest sponsored by Ultratune.
26:08 Once again we're back live on Wednesday the 17th of April that is our next live event from the
26:16 Gold Coast. Joel Taylor locked in O'Shea for the Australian welterweight title.
26:20 In between then every Wednesday night Beyond the Ropes on 7 plus.
26:25 A complete look at the world of boxing both past and present. Some left field topics to discuss and
26:35 have a chat about on what is a massive weekend name for Aussies overseas. We've got William
26:45 Wilson, we've got Michael Zarapa and of course Tim Zou all flying the Aussie flag and all three of you.
26:53 We wish you nothing but safety and success.
26:55 Exactly right. A bit of barrack for the Australian when they're abroad
27:00 and that's what we'll be doing this weekend.
27:02 Off balance right hand from Tate. No damage there. No damage done.
27:13 Right hand just scoring there from Espinosa. No follow-up though.
27:17 Espinosa the right cross there was a nice little punch but again there was there was nothing Nathan
27:30 on the back of it. Yeah exactly and that's what he needs. He needs a second and third punch to
27:34 follow through because that single shot is not going to affect someone like Jalen Tate because
27:39 most of the times he avoids them but that second and third punch might be harder to avoid.
27:46 As you can see some replays from round number seven. Once again very crafty from Jalen Tate.
27:55 All different angles he throws from and he has so much success.
28:00 He's a listener, he's astute, he's a sponge, he absorbs absolutely everything.
28:20 Does Jalen Tate.
28:26 Oh
28:29 Pants are too low but the guard wasn't too high.
28:36 And we are underway.
28:40 Round number eight of ten.
28:47 Espinosa that guard still looks way way too high to me Nathan. Am I wrong? Yeah I think you're right.
28:56 I think when it goes well above your your trunks I think that's a bit too high to be honest.
29:04 And he's probably doing that because he's copped a few from Jalen Tate that's probably
29:09 hurting him so they're probably creeping it up to try and safeguard that stomach area.
29:14 It's a good couple of inches above his belly. Yeah easy easy.
29:17 One minute down two minutes remaining round number eight. Oh good evasion there from Tate.
29:27 There's a receipt straight after very nice. Oh short to the right hand from Tate and a good response
29:34 from Espinosa. The boys are trading in. Yeah starting to turn off the heat here both boys.
29:38 You can see more punches thrown in this round than probably you know the previous couple of rounds.
29:44 Tate trying to get into a bit of a combination rhythm here. Easier said than done.
29:53 Almost banging heads there in the middle. A wide swing from Espinosa.
30:07 Good left hand too. Good left hand there from Tate. Both landing.
30:10 All of a sudden we've got a bit of a war. A war of attrition here. I think Espinosa probably
30:20 knows he's behind on the scorecards and if he's going to make a move he has to make it now and
30:24 that's what he's doing. He's taking the fight to Tate who says beauty let's go. That's exactly what
30:31 he wants because one of the best counter punches in Australia is Jalen Tate that's for sure. Look
30:35 at that makes him miss and usually makes him pay like that. He's got a level of comfortability now
30:50 as Jalen Tate. That's dangerous. That's dangerous for Espinosa because when he's comfortable he's
30:56 ultra hard to beat. Oh good shot over the top. Beautiful. Beautiful movement. Different angles,
31:08 different punch lengths, different punch levels. You can just see the punches so well. He's got a
31:14 great eye. 10 seconds remaining. Round number eight. Yeah the volume was turned up here.
31:22 I'd expect a little bit more in round number nine. Great round for Tate.
31:27 Tate marked up now underneath the right eye as well. He might have the boxing sunglasses on
31:36 tomorrow. No one can see the swelling. And that's quite rare for Jalen because he rarely gets hit
31:41 in fights but you can see just the level he's just jumped up. Obviously this international level is
31:47 a different beast but he's still put on a clinic and he's still in my eyes winning it very clearly
31:54 as we can see some of these snippets from the last round. Tate just ever so effective.
32:00 Two rounds remain in our semi-main event for the IBO Super Flyweight World Championship.
32:16 His last
32:17 couple of fights he has improved immeasurably. Jalen Tate his last fight was against an
32:28 international opponent who disrespectfully weighed in I think it was five and a half or six and a
32:34 half kilos above the limit. Jalen said don't care I'll fight him and stopped him which was
32:42 quite the exclamation point. Yeah it was disgusting Andy. It's the ultimate disrespect
32:46 in the boxer's eyes coming in overweight especially that's not missing weight that's
32:51 not even trying five five plus kilos overweight but you know testament to Jalen Tate and his team
32:57 they took it and they beat him and and so he should because that was the right you know
33:04 right justice with the yeah it was. I reckon that that guard is up even higher this round on
33:15 Espinosa but Jalen Tate nonetheless copped another warning from our referee for for banging a bit low.
33:26 He's bouncing around on the balls of his feet. Jalen Tate great slip work.
33:35 Yeah oh and a good hook too. Doubles up with the left hand he is very very comfortable at the moment.
33:48 Tate has been dropped. The gloves hit the ground and as a result it is a knockdown.
33:56 Yeah it was a knockdown too and he's still a little bit shaken up here.
34:00 Wow what a big four and a half minutes this is for Jalen Tate because Espinosa is going head hunting.
34:13 Tate holding on he's still got rubbery legs. He hasn't shaken this off.
34:19 He's looking up to see the big screen with the time piece on it but there's no big screen.
34:25 And there's still a minute to go and there comes out the mouth guard now he's trying to
34:30 potentially buy himself a bit of time because he was in a world of hurt there.
34:34 This is that level Andy that I was speaking about that top level you never count it out.
34:42 Let's go come on.
34:45 Tahu Tate, Tate has taken his time as he should with the mouth guard just trying to give Jalen
34:55 the opportunity to shake a few of the cobwebs out because here comes Espinosa again. Tate holding on
35:03 and he's doing all the right things he's holding on obviously when you're hurt but
35:07 Espinosa wants another because he can see the finish line for him if he can catch him with one
35:13 more big shot. 30 seconds remaining. GC needs he really needs the 60 seconds between rounds.
35:23 No knockdown they've caught it a slip.
35:32 Oh another right hand he's coming to finish the show here with Espinosa.
35:36 He's just got to hold on here Jalen now he's got to hold on he's got to use
35:41 his ring IQ that we spoke about earlier and just hold on for dear life.
35:46 We have had one knockdown and one slip that we are going to take a look at and I will be stunned if
35:56 this isn't a two knockdown round. Can't be adjudicated on now can't be corrected if that's
36:02 the case because the referee called it a slip. Let's take a look at some of the highlights
36:09 from an amazing ninth round. Yeah they're not out until they're out.
36:13 Alexander Espinosa turned up the heat and a paid dividend you can see he was starting to get
36:21 desperate because he could he was falling away from the fight. Espinosa true to his form he hit
36:27 him with one shot and he stayed hit did Jalen Tate for the rest of the fight and there it was it was
36:34 almost like a delayed reaction. Yeah let's look at the second one and see what happened here.
36:39 Absolutely yeah he got caught on the ear and just knocked his equilibrium off.
36:48 Maybe should have been a second knockdown maybe yes definitely you got me Andy.
36:52 We have got a fight.
36:58 Espinosa in the black with all the momentum and all the confidence Tate in the white
37:08 who's had the running of the fight up until about two minutes ago.
37:17 And I don't know if the legs are back underneath him as yet. Yeah and Espinosa is going to throw
37:22 caution to the wind now he's only got two and a half minutes now to close out this show because
37:26 even with that or that knockdown we you'll call it knockdowns he's still he'll still be behind
37:32 in the scorecards to be honest but so he's gonna keep up the pressure keep up those punches flowing
37:38 but Jalen is just going to do that get back to center ring get back to safe ground.
37:44 Jalen needs to keep their hands right up there. Wow part of the the very steep learning curve
37:52 this will be an invaluable experience for Jalen Tate.
37:58 We've been saying it throughout the night Andy there's levels to this sport and there's so
38:03 many levels to boxing and this is just the next step up and you can see the hardest fight by Michael
38:11 but that was a great shot there by Tate. Yeah he caught him with the right hook as he was coming
38:15 in Espinosa. We're halfway through the tenth of the final round 90 seconds remain
38:20 90 seconds to keep the gloves up on the chin and keep that bomb away.
38:26 We're in the lightweight division.
38:35 Espinosa holding the back of the head got away with it it's not breaking the rules until you
38:42 get caught. Exactly the seasoned pro just gets away with it until he until he gets caught so
38:48 oh good jab again from Espinosa right hand just whizzing past the head of Jalen Tate.
38:54 Under a minute remains.
39:04 I dare say he's dominated on the judges scorecards as Jalen Tate all bar a huge
39:11 round nine for Espinosa it could well be a lot closer than that.
39:18 If you mind he's been the better of the two minus that round. Yeah and you can see you
39:25 I think Espinosa knows that as well he's so much desperation in the last 20 seconds here
39:29 he knows he needs a knockdown or at least at least another couple of knockdowns or knockout
39:34 to win this fight. He's been very smart as Jalen Tate since that knockdown he's held on
39:44 he's spat the mouth guard he's showed a real composure as the bell sounds.
39:52 A bit of respect for the boys there Jalen Tate, Alexander Espinosa our semi-main event
40:00 and we'll be back right here with the decision on the premier boxing series.
40:05 Brisbane powerhouse this is the premier boxing series live fight night number one and we have
40:17 got plenty more coming your way right here on seven plus across the calendar year. The next time
40:23 we are punching our way into your living rooms Wednesday the 17th of April from the Gold Coast
40:30 Joel Taylor, Lachlan O'Shea for the Australian welterweight title as Jalen Tate dances up a treat
40:37 center ring. We have just seen Jalen Tate the undefeated Jalen Tate take on a step up in class
40:46 in Alexander Espinosa from Ecuador. A guy that hasn't lost since 2018 and I think it's fair to
40:54 say some lessons learned by everyone over the course of the last 30 minutes. We are waiting
41:03 for the judges scorecards to be tabulated they are James O'Shea our man in the ring is
41:13 the first man around Australia to know exactly what has happened and who's got the nod let's go
41:20 to him. All right ladies and gentlemen put your hands together for both the fighters this one
41:25 a great contest big thank you to our sponsor here as well to Ultra Tune.
