00:00 Charlie, on to Birmingham City, now a huge win over Coventry. It gives them that bit
00:06 of belief going into this massive running for them, the final few games coming up now.
00:11 Obviously, they sit just a point above the drop zone. They're looking over their shoulders
00:18 at the other teams' results down there, a position they probably didn't want to be at
00:22 the start of the season. But this is where they are and they've got to continue. So ahead
00:28 of the final three games, what's your thoughts on Blues going into them?
00:32 Well, firstly, a huge win over Coventry City. 3-0. It wasn't even like a 1-0 or a 2-1 or
00:39 squeaking through. They won comfortably and they didn't win comfortably from having the
00:43 ball either. It was a change in approach from Gary Rowey. It's something that I think Birmingham
00:47 needed. Sitting back a little bit, absorbing that pressure and hitting teams on the counter
00:52 might have to be the way. It's not the prettiest way, but it's the way they did it against
00:55 Coventry and it really paid off. 29% of the ball they had is the figure I'm just reading
01:00 now. It felt a little bit more than that, but it just shows that they were very productive
01:04 in possession and very impressive and clinical in front of goal. Four shots on target, three
01:10 goals. Jay Stansfield, the man again, really impressing. His celebration in front of the
01:15 Tilton, just absolutely loving it at the moment, that low knee. He's been so crucial, scoring
01:20 vital goals for them and those three points are what lift them above the relegation zone,
01:24 especially with Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday fighting and getting draws. It's
01:28 such an important result. I think it's just now about trying to repeat that before the
01:32 end of the season. They've got three games left against Rotherham, Huddersfield and Norwich
01:37 City. That final game against Norwich, you don't want it to go down to that because they're
01:42 probably going to still be fighting to secure the playoffs. They're really going to need
01:46 those points. Rotherham are obviously already down. The Huddersfield one being the obvious
01:50 massive six pointer, that's going to be the big one here. I think it's so crucial for
01:55 Blues to get to that final game against Norwich without having that pressure, just having
02:00 it secured and enjoying themselves. Two wins in the next two games, it should be enough
02:05 to get them out of trouble. It's so tight down the bottom. But this is the championship,
02:11 isn't it, Charles? It's just one of the most incredible divisions on the planet, let alone
02:15 just in England. At least it brings drama. I think Birmingham fans are hoping it won't
02:20 put them down as well as the drama.
02:22 You mentioned James Stansfield there, 12 goals, two assists. We've touched a few times across
02:29 the season when they needed players to step up. Has he been the man? If they are to remain
02:36 in the division, will Blues fans look at him and think he's been the hero at the end of
02:39 the day?
02:40 He's definitely been one of them. There's lots of players who've stepped up. Giannini
02:43 of Bakunas has become a real impressive force this season. Sanderson, obviously the captain
02:49 as well. Leigh Buchanan has stepped up as a new signing. There's lots of Miyoshi coming
02:53 in, adding a bit of impetus to attacks. There are lots of key players in, but Stansfield
02:57 I think definitely sticks out as a bit of a fan favourite this year.
