Connor Blundell, 25, is running the London Marathon after relearning to walk and talk again after being in a coma for three and a half weeks due to an accident abroad.
Transcript
00:00 In October 2020, I fell 4 metres and suffered a brain injury. I spent a month in a coma
00:07 and 8 months in hospital. I learnt to walk again, to talk again and to run again with
00:12 the help of physios, friends and family.
00:18 I did go for Age Place for the delayed Covid-19 London Marathon, but I missed the fair date
00:25 because I was in a coma at the time. In April 2024, I hope to fulfil my dream of running
00:33 the London Marathon.
00:36 This has been a long journey, but I've always had clean water and a roof over my head. This
00:42 is not the case for all. That's why I'm using this opportunity to raise money for two fantastic
00:49 charities, WaterAid and Crisis UK. Please give whatever you can. Thank you.
