00:00 ESPN report this morning about Bill Belichick and his quest to get that Atlanta Falcons
00:10 job that all those great investigative reporters at ESPN did.
00:14 I thought my favorite part was Robert Kraft told Arthur Blank that Belichick isn't trustworthy
00:21 and that he was so that and they basically nobody in the Falcon organization ever wanted
00:27 Belichick to get the job.
00:28 Now I personally think, Scott, that's because he probably would have went in there and never
00:32 let them do anything, which is what would probably what would have happened.
00:35 They would have said, you lose with these guys all the time.
00:38 So I don't want to hear from them.
00:39 I think that's probably why Belichick those guys didn't want Belichick to be there.
00:43 Well, look, Vanatta is a great reporter.
00:47 Usually his stories are dead on.
00:49 So he's broken tons of just gigantic stories over the years.
00:54 He's a great writer and a great investigative journalist.
00:58 I'll give him super credit.
01:01 But I'll say the thing that was more intriguing to me.
01:04 Two things.
01:05 One, there was talk of his age again that at 72, like, what's he going to coach?
01:12 Two years.
01:13 So what's the point?
01:14 You're going to have a guy for two years to be 74, 75 years old and that nobody wants
01:19 70 year olds doing anything anymore in sports.
01:23 That's just all there is to it.
01:24 I keep telling you this week after week after week after week after week and no one like,
01:29 you know.
01:30 Does anything about it like it's simple.
01:32 No one wants these old geezers doing anything.
01:35 That's all there is to it.
01:36 The other thing that stood out to me was more importantly, is that and I believe one of
01:42 them, not the other two that he would he would coach in Dallas or Philly.
01:46 It's the job of the New York Giants coaching the Giants.
01:49 Now listen, he's got a history with the New York football Giants.
01:53 His entire career started with the New York Giants and coaching Lawrence Taylor.
01:58 I think, well, first of all, he's a better coach than Brian Dable.
02:02 And I think that if that job, if he doesn't win this year, they're going to fire this
02:08 Dable guy and they're not going to give him he had one good year, one bad year.
02:11 He has another bad year.
02:12 It's gone.
02:13 I wouldn't be surprised at all if Maren Tish gave Bill Belichick the reins to the Giants.
02:20 Believe me, you they love him.
02:24 Now I've heard that Jerry Jones loves him.
02:26 I don't believe for one minute he's going there.
02:29 And I definitely am negative 5000 on Philadelphia that they will ever offer Bill Belichick the
02:34 job of head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.
02:36 But I do believe the Giants might just do it.
02:39 But I don't think he's getting a job anywhere else.
02:41 So it's that or nothing.
02:42 You're not getting ahead.
02:43 I'm going to get him soon.
02:44 I know he's doing draft stuff on ESPN and things like that.
02:48 I think that's where his future is.
02:50 Yeah, I'm with you.
02:52 I think the giant job is the one to watch because we've seen him in the past on all
02:57 those documentaries and the specials, you know, crying, walking through the tunnel of
03:01 the old giant stadium before they tore it down.
03:04 I spent so many hours in there, the stuff with parcels.
03:09 He would love to be the New York Giant head coach to finish.
03:12 I think so.
03:13 And that's where Brian Day will go win some games this year or else he's the guy that's
03:18 going to be at the expense of Bill Belichick, because Mara would put him in there in a second.
