00:00 The IDF are saying we will respond militarily.
00:03 And that's not exactly what all the politicians are saying in the cabinet,
00:06 but that reflects the fact that the Israelis are going round in some sort of circles here,
00:11 thinking about what they can do next.
00:13 And they are caught between, as I say, the hawks and the doves,
00:15 and the external world, who is leaning on them very hard.
00:19 The United States, the European Union are leaning very hard on them to say,
00:22 look, you needed our help in defending yourself on Saturday night,
00:26 and we did more than you thought we would do,
00:29 including, interestingly, the Jordanians.
00:31 They had their air force up, and they brought down multiple drones.
00:35 The British look as if we brought down 10 or 11.
00:38 The Jordanians seem to have brought down far more,
00:40 because they were in the right place at the right time.
00:43 And so the Allies made a big difference, and the Israelis were lucky on Saturday night,
00:48 for all sorts of other reasons.
00:49 A lot of the ballistic missiles didn't launch properly, that Iran released up to 50%.
00:55 That would be 60 out of the 120 that were launched.
00:58 60 of them malfunctioned.
01:00 So what the external world is saying to us is, look, you were lucky, and you had our help.
01:04 Now, don't spoil it by being so aggressive that we will think twice about giving you that help again,
01:10 and you might not be so lucky the second time.
01:12 Those are the sort of pressures that the Israeli government is now under.
