Happy to welcome you.
00:04 This is my Milan apartment.
00:07 It has a holiday feeling to it. It's full of light.
00:10 It's a building of the 30s. It's a kind of lofty building,
00:14 but it's in the center of the city, so it's an unusual combination.
00:19 This was previously the storage of a glass factory in Venice.
00:23 We bought the space about 20 years ago.
00:26 I loved it because it had so much light and the volumes are so huge, very high ceilings.
00:32 Here, it's very colorful.
00:33 You can most understand why I've chosen to do this house
00:37 with a mix and match of many inputs that come from my background.
00:42 My father was an Italian aristocrat and he used to travel in Africa and China.
00:48 He used to collect Chinese porcelain and antique furniture.
00:52 So I still keep some memories of this world.
00:55 And mixing and matching his heritage with my mother's heritage.
01:00 My mother was born in Africa.
01:03 She lived in Ethiopia, actually in Eritrea, which was an Italian colony.
01:08 And she brought with her the love for color, for light, for creativity.
01:14 And then she founded with her name, her name is Lisa Corti,
01:18 she founded the brand that I now run and that it's all full of colors.
01:23 We mix a lot of inspirations that come from Asia, from Africa and other parts of the world.
01:30 Here is the sitting area.
01:32 You can find this metal table done by a friend of mine, Dali Laformentini.
01:37 And very visible in this area is the cupboard that I have painted,
01:41 getting inspired by a tile that I found in a museum in Lisbon.
01:47 I want to show you this little table.
01:49 It's a Lisa Corti little table and it's out of a collaboration with Monoprix.
01:54 I love to dress the table because I love to have guests and I love to cook.
01:59 An advice I can give you is feel free to mix and match on your table.
02:03 You don't have to stick to a formal style.
02:08 Here is my kitchen, my favorite spot where I spend a lot of time.
02:13 That's why I decided to divide it from the rest of the home,
02:17 to keep a glass window so I can still be in touch with my guests and my family.
02:23 This is my bedroom.
02:24 I have painted the floor in the house myself.
02:27 It's like a big carpet with Chinese roses and geometric elements.
02:32 In this room, there's all the paintings I'm more attached to.
02:36 Among them, there is our former old Saint-Isac, the logo of our brand, Lisa Corti.
02:43 Allora ragazzi, this is the end of the visit.
02:46 It's been lovely to have you here with me and share my house.
02:50 Now it's your turn to come to visit our shop in Milan.
02:53 Ciao, a prestissimo!
