00:00 Addressing soldiers at the airbase damaged in Iran's attack,
00:03 the Israeli military promised retribution.
00:06 "We are looking ahead, we are considering our steps.
00:11 And this launch of so many missiles,
00:14 cruise missiles and drones into the territory of the state of Israel,
00:19 will be met with a response."
00:21 According to the Israeli army, the Nevetim airbase in southern Israel was hit by four missiles,
00:29 causing minor damage. It said the base was still functioning.
00:32 "The attack on Israel was thwarted almost without penetrating our territory.
00:39 The operational work at Nevetim base continues around the clock."
00:42 The IDF's comments come after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened his war
00:49 cabinet for the second time in less than 24 hours to discuss a response to the weekend's drone and
00:55 missile attack. Israel's allies have condemned Iran's actions but urged Netanyahu to show restraint.
01:02 "This is an Israeli decision to make, whether and how they'll respond to what Iran did on Saturday
01:10 and we're going to leave it squarely with them. We don't want to see a war with Iran,
01:14 we don't want to see a broader regional conflict. We will do what we have to do to defend Israel."
01:19 Iran launched its air assault in response to a strike on its consular building in the Syrian
01:25 capital which killed seven revolutionary guards, including two generals. Tehran says
01:31 it considers the matter closed and is not seeking to escalate tensions in the region.
01:36 Meanwhile, the UN's Atomic Energy Watchdog says it's resuming inspections of Iranian
01:42 nuclear facilities this Tuesday, after the country originally closed sites due to security precautions.
