00:00And also, on an interview that the President recently did,
00:03he said, I think what he's doing is a mistake.
00:07I don't agree with his approach, talking about Netanyahu.
00:10Can you clarify what is the mistake?
00:15So we've talked about how the President spoke to President —
00:20Prime Minister Netanyahu just last week.
00:21They had a 30-minute conversation.
00:24It was direct.
00:25They have known each other for some time.
00:27They've spoken over more than a dozen times
00:29since October 7th, the tragic, tragic attack
00:33that we've seen from Hamas, a terrorist organization.
00:36And they said October 7th would be something
00:39that they want to see over and over again.
00:41So they've had those conversations.
00:43Look, the President has been very clear.
00:44I started out this briefing
00:46talking about how humanitarian aid has increased,
00:49and that's because of the conversation
00:51that the President had with the Prime Minister.
00:53That's important.
00:54We need to make sure that civilians are protected.
00:57We need to make sure that humanitarian aid workers
00:59are protected. The President has said that.
01:01That is what our focus is going to continue to be,
01:04as well as making sure that this hostage deal gets done,
01:08working around the clock to get that completed
01:10so we can get hostages home to their loved ones.
01:13The President has always been very honest and direct
01:17with leaders, including the Prime Minister.
01:20So, just one more quick one.
01:22Does the President believe Netanyahu's approach,
01:24as you sort of just laid out there,
01:27is to blame for the famine that we are now seeing in Gaza?
01:32What I will say is,
01:33that is not what the President is saying.
01:35The President has been very clear
01:36that more needs to be done to protect innocent civilians.
01:41More work needs to be done to make sure
01:43that humanitarian aid workers who are doing incredible work,
01:47who are being incredibly brave, are protected.
01:50And so, that is what we're speaking to.
01:52And unfortunately, we've seen more than 200
01:55of humanitarian aid workers die.
01:58And that is something we do not want to continue to see.
02:01That's why the President had this conversation
02:03with the Prime Minister last week,
02:05a 30-minute direct conversation with the Prime Minister
02:08on what needs to be done
02:10to continue to protect innocent civilians.
02:13That's why we're having a conversation
02:15about the RAFA operations, right?
02:17And our two sides are committed to moving forward
02:20with those conversations.
02:22We've seen some progress.
02:23We're going to continue to have those conversations.
02:25And Israel has made commitments.
02:28The Prime Minister has made a commitment to the President.
02:31We've seen an uptick of trucks,
02:33more than 1,000 over the last three days.
02:36That commitment is continuing.
02:37We want to see more.
02:38That's good progress.
