00:26Schumer wants it on a Thursday afternoon because he wants no coverage.

00:29He wants it to go away quickly.

00:30The advantage of starting the week with it is it enables the Senate to focus on it.

00:35We ought to do our job.

00:37And I will say the question a minute ago that was asked, well, you don't have the votes.

00:41Understand what you say when you say that we don't have the votes.

00:44You're saying that you know that every single Democrat senator does not give a damn about

00:50what evidence might be presented, wouldn't listen to the evidence, wouldn't be open to

00:55any evidence, doesn't care about the people being killed, doesn't care about the 100,000

01:01Americans who died of drug overdoses last year, doesn't care about the little boys and

01:06girls being violently sexually assaulted.

01:09They don't come to the border.

01:10They don't look them in the eyes.

01:11I do.

01:12Every one of us here has been to the border.

01:14We've seen children.

01:15We've seen women who have been brutalized by the cartels.

01:18And your question assumes no Democrat cares.

01:22They're all okay with the open border.

01:24And by the way, remember that when you write the stories about each of the Democrats saying

01:30I'm very concerned about border security, because they're going to say that in their

01:35election ads.

01:37They're going to claim they're very concerned about it.

01:39Well, if they are, we ought to have a trial.

01:42And the reason Schumer doesn't want a trial, he doesn't want the evidence in front of them.

01:46And you know the Democrat senators don't care about the people that are getting hurt by

01:50these open borders, because their only priority is political power.

01:54I'm going to make one point too, is that public sentiment, public opinion does drive an impeachment

02:02trial.

02:03In 1974, I'm a young boy watching Watergate hearings.

02:09And those hearings, with all the American eyes on those, as boring as those hearings

02:13were, they drove an impeachment trial to the point that caused Richard Nixon to resign.

02:19And just like the press then had a responsibility, the press has a responsibility now, I hope,

02:25to talk about the significance of this nuclear option.
