00:00 It's that time of year, better than Christmas, better than Thanksgiving, better than any
00:03 holiday you can name.
00:05 It's the WWE Draft, where Vinny Mackey's wacky attackies take all their toys, put them
00:10 in a box, and shake the box as hard as they can in the hope that it fixes all their toys.
00:14 Maybe it will, maybe it won't, but in case you missed either Raw or Smackdown, or if
00:17 you're lucky, both, I'm here to run down each and every single draft pick and rank
00:22 them in order of the bad, the good, and the crushingly indifferent.
00:25 No more talk, we have a long road to travel.
00:27 Let's do this.
00:28 I'm Hailing from PartsFundo and this is every drafted WWE superstar ranked.
00:33 Also subscribe, but we don't have time.
00:35 Just subscribe.
00:36 First up, let's talk about the free agents, the people who weren't drafted either for
00:39 storyline reasons, or because of injury, or because WWE plum forgot.
00:43 First up, Eva Marie was surprisingly ignored this year, doubly surprising when you consider
00:47 everything we know about Vince and what he likes.
00:49 Maybe we'll get Eva on both brands, we can only hope.
00:51 Shane Thorne was also forgotten, but that makes a little more sense considering he was
00:54 a sentient plate less than a year ago.
00:56 Ditto Lucha House Party's Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado floating away in the ether,
01:01 just writing Cruiserweight Classic in their diaries over and over again.
01:04 Elias will be singing the world's saddest song, left unpicked, forgotten and roaming,
01:08 which is the most drifter thing he's done in ages to be fair.
01:10 Maryse is apparently still technically on Raw, but lives in reality TV land, so wasn't
01:15 mentioned.
01:16 Lacey Evans was excluded because she's still off on maternity leave, and very much all
01:19 the best to her.
01:20 Bayley remains a free agent as she remains on the bench to heal up from her torn ACL.
01:23 Asuka is rehabbing her hand injury, similarly lost in space.
01:26 And finally, Brock Lesnar declared himself above all this petty t-shirt colour bullshit,
01:30 straight up announcing he'll go where he damn well pleases.
01:33 Which is at least honest.
01:35 Let's move on to The Bad, the people, teams and factions for which the draft comes as
01:39 a savage blow.
01:40 By far and away the biggest loser in a 2021 draft was the Women's Tag Team division,
01:45 which was absolutely f***ing demolished.
01:47 Natalya stayed on Smackdown while partner Tamina moved to Raw.
01:50 Apparently Tegan Nox moved to Raw, leaving Shotzi all alone on Smackdown.
01:54 This leaves just one single team in the entire division, Rhea Ripley and Nikki ASH who are
01:59 staying on Raw and probably keeping the belt for a year.
02:01 As if that mattered at this point.
02:03 Other groups were torn apart with seemingly no plans in sight.
02:06 Retribution suffered their, I want to say, third break up to date, with T-Bar being left
02:10 behind on Raw as Mace skipped off to Smackdown, sure why not.
02:14 Likewise, poor Veer was left behind on Raw as his stablemates Jinder Mahal and Shanky
02:18 left for Smackdown.
02:19 What's the f***ing point of that?
02:21 Good luck Veer.
02:22 Two NXT stables saw members being randomly plucked from their ranks.
02:25 Thank goodness Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae are having a boy to replace their son
02:29 Austin Theory, who got stolen in the night and shifted to Raw, and best of luck to Tien
02:33 Sha who've lost Xia Li to Smackdown.
02:35 Akira Tozawa is still cruelly on Raw and not in the NXT Cruiserweight division where he's
02:40 proven to do much better work.
02:42 Karrion Kross has been denied the chance to reinvent himself with a move to Smackdown,
02:46 sticking with Raw who've treated him just to s*** so far.
02:49 And finally, drawing perhaps the loudest condemnation from the live crowd, was the New Day, fans
02:53 heavily booing their move to Smackdown and being split up from Big E yet again.
02:58 Death to friendship.
02:59 And now, probably the most difficult section to rank, the people who didn't move brands,
03:03 and it was fine.
03:04 Hot stuff coming through.
03:05 Jaxson Ryker stayed on Raw and no one cares about that.
03:08 Happy Corbin and Mad Cat Moss are still on Smackdown to wear their little suits like
03:12 a bad band at a Cuban hotel.
03:13 Dana Brooke is still on Raw, and sure, Dana's cool, why not?
03:17 Reggie is still on Raw with his 24/7 championship, which explains why Drake, Maverick and R-Truth
03:21 are also sticking around as they're the three stooges that keep that comedy belt going.
03:24 Reports are that Nia Jax may be out recuperating from her storyline arm injury for a long time,
03:29 which makes it at least nice that WWE drafted her to Raw instead of just ignoring her like
03:33 Eva Marie.
03:34 Similarly, Raw are keeping a hold of Alexa Bliss while she's out recovering from sinus
03:37 surgery and holding a funeral service for Lilly.
03:40 Miz and Morrison are sticking on Raw to continue working out their differences.
03:43 Are they still doing that?
03:45 I don't know.
03:46 And best of this group just about, Dewdrop is staying on Raw and hey, at least she got
03:50 picked over Eva Marie, right?
03:52 Moving up the ranks now to the people who moved brands, and it was fine, which is a
03:56 little better than the last group because, I don't know, they at least got to do something.
04:01 And speaking of someone finally getting to do something, Aaliyah was drafted to Smackdown
04:04 after what seemed like an eternity in NXT.
04:07 Oh that precarious Robert Stone brand.
04:09 Olympic athlete Gable Steverson was one of the most surprising picks of the night, already
04:13 being drafted to Raw despite just entering training with the company.
04:17 Carmella is red money now rather than blue money, no word on whether her creepy Gucci
04:21 sex mask is also being drafted.
04:23 She's joined on Raw by Selena Vega, who will maybe pick up a win over there at some
04:26 point.
04:27 With three hours, there's slightly less chance she'll be cut for time.
04:30 Also Jeff Hardy is moving to Smackdown, and people like Jeff Hardy, so that's nice.
04:34 Let's top this group by talking about the Raw tag division, which you know, it's
04:37 a division now, at least.
04:38 I don't think it's quite as good as Smackdown's post draft, but there are some teams here
04:41 I guess.
04:42 The Dirty Dogs are on Raw, big news for all you Dirty Dogs fans, please make yourself
04:46 known, it has to be some of you.
04:47 Also heading over from Smackdown to boost the Raw tag division are Mysterio and Son,
04:51 Apollo Crews and his giant military friend, Alpha Academy, and best of all, the Street
04:56 Profits.
04:57 Like, that's not bad.
04:58 And now the actually properly positive part of this incredibly loose ranking list, the
05:02 people who didn't move brands, and it was good.
05:04 Sami Zayn was picked last for Smackdown, which absolutely suits his character, and the blue
05:08 brand is absolutely the right place for him.
05:10 Ditto Tony Storm, her vs Sasha Banks sooner rather than later please.
05:13 AJ Styles and Omos are staying a team for now on Raw to try and regain their titles
05:17 from another team sticking around, RK-Bro, and it's very adorable those two were drafted
05:22 together, the friendship is real.
05:23 Keith Bearcat Lee is staying on Raw, and man I feel like I should be ranking this lower,
05:26 but Keith Lee is just so delightful, and hey at least he got picked on the actual show
05:30 itself.
05:31 Sasha Banks is still on Smackdown, so hopefully we can finally have her join the bloodline
05:35 alongside The Usos, the best team in the entire company right now, who are also staying blue.
05:40 And speaking of the workhorse brand, Cesaro is staying on Smackdown, where hopefully he'll
05:43 be still swinging around the upper midcard.
05:45 Sasha Banks is staying on Smackdown too, which is excellent, because Sasha is excellent and
05:49 wherever she ends up is better for her.
05:51 Damian Priest is keeping the US title on Raw, his momentum rolling by being a second round
05:55 pick.
05:56 Ditto King Nakamura and his adorable pet Boogs, who are staying blue through and through and
06:00 keeping the IC title on Smackdown.
06:01 The newly reformed Hurt Business, Bobby Lashley, MVP, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin
06:06 are all staying on Raw, which is a wonderful thing, because during the pandemic era they
06:09 were one of the few great things about the red brand, and of course the number one pick
06:13 in the entire draft for a reason.
06:16 Roman Reigns is staying on Smackdown too, who are all he likes at the head of his little
06:20 table, good for him.
06:22 And finally we're going to end this ranking with the people who moved brands, and it was
06:26 good.
06:27 The best part of any draft, where their announcement fills you with a vague sense of excitement,
06:30 momentum and hopes for the future, starting with the Smackdown Tag Division, which has
06:34 got a whole bunch more exciting with the assimilation of Viking Raiders, Humberto Carrillo and Angel
06:38 Garza and Mansoor and Ali, all incredibly athletic and underutilised teams, all of which
06:43 could run against the Usos immediately and create some magic.
06:46 One of the most underrated performers in recent memory, Liv Morgan, will be looking to keep
06:49 the momentum she had on Smackdown rolling on Raw, and bloody hell, if there's a superstar
06:53 who needs some quick Smackdown rehabilitation, it's Ricochet.
06:56 Can we have him vs Cesaro on PPV please?
06:59 We've been ever so good.
07:01 Congratulations to Mia Yim, who'll be making her debut on Raw, a show that she has never
07:05 appeared on before.
07:06 She has never appeared on before.
07:08 Sheamus is joining his former barmate Big Tony on Smackdown, can't wait to see Sheamo
07:13 mixing up with bruises like, for example, Ridge Holland, who's been drafted from NXT
07:17 to Smackdown.
07:18 Pete Dunne doesn't need a tag partner anyway.
07:20 Another perpetually underrated star, Drew Gulak, is moving from Raw to Smackdown, which
07:23 absolutely feels like a better fit for him.
07:26 Him vs Sami Zayn please, please.
07:27 Finn Balor is turning tail and running to Raw before Roman Reigns sicks God on his ass
07:32 again and Finn I'm so sorry, hopefully the Dean will be treated better over there.
07:36 Monday night, Owens is back on the air, with KO headed back to Raw, which is getting a
07:39 pretty fantastic main event scene out of the draft by the way, with Seth Rollins and Edge
07:44 both heading to the red side of the tracks.
07:46 Honestly though, the Smackdown main event scene is looking a little bit barren post-draft,
07:50 so thank God at least one challenger for Roman's title has entered the arena, as Drew McIntyre
07:55 is headed to Smackdown for the first time since his return to the company.
07:59 Something that we can all celebrate as they're absolutely amazing is Hit Row!
08:03 Holy shit, moving up from NXT to Smackdown in its entirety!
08:07 That is awesome!
08:08 Please don't ruin them WWE.
08:10 Bianca Belair is heading to Raw, chasing Becky Lynch, who we assume she's absolutely
08:14 not finished with.
08:15 Really awesome to see the EST be picked so quickly.
08:17 Shayna Baszler will hopefully continue her much needed ruthless aggression as she heads
08:21 over to Smackdown, although in kayfabe it's not entirely clear why the Smackdown GMs are
08:25 so eager to sign someone who's set on breaking all of their talent's arms.
08:28 And sticking with the women's division, perhaps the most interesting story coming
08:31 out of the draft is that Smackdown Women's Champ Becky Lynch and Raw Women's Champ
08:35 Charlotte are swapping brands.
08:37 What does this mean for their respective belts?
08:39 Will they be dropping them soon, maybe at Crown Jewel?
08:41 Or will they do a physical swap like Street Profits and New Day did?
08:44 I hope not that one.
08:45 And finally, ending on a true true high, Big E may have been separated from his besties
08:49 one more time, but he's been officially drafted to be the main man on WWE's flagship
08:55 show and that is f***ing wonderful news.
08:58 Good for Big E, long may he reign.
09:00 And that's every single superstar announced as part of this year's draft.
09:02 Who are you most happy for, most sad for, what dream matches have come out of this?
