00:12 According to BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagi Jr.,

00:15 they have been raising awareness since February when it comes to the April 15 deadline.

00:21 And they set up tax assistance centers to remind taxpayers to do their obligations.

00:29 BIR also helped prominent personalities like former Senator Manny Pacquiao

00:35 to strengthen their tax awareness efforts.

00:38 According to BIR, 70% of their ITR recipients

00:43 are now using their electronic facilities to submit their tax returns.

00:49 The BIR target is to collect Php 405.94 billion this April.

00:55 This is 21% higher than Php 336.02 billion at the same time last year.
