00:00 Joe Grant and Alex Miller here from the Sheffield Star. Hillsborough behind us. One more draw
00:05 between Wednesday and Stoke City. Joe, what does it do to the survival scrap?
00:11 It's just frustrating. You know, Wednesday were for a very brief period out of the bottom
00:16 three. They've been fighting to get out of that for months now. It looked like it was
00:19 finally going to happen. Liam Palmer took his goal brilliantly. Wednesday have been
00:24 almost entirely dominant in the game today. And then eight minutes later, first real chance
00:29 for Stoke and won one. And instead of finishing fourth bottom this weekend, they are now back
00:35 second bottom instead. And yeah, it's still tight down there. It's still really close.
00:39 But I suppose the only saving grace today, given that Birmingham won, you know, beat
00:45 Leicester and there's been some wild results. But you know, I just feel conceding that late
00:50 equaliser does help a little bit, I suppose. So it's cost them a point and a place. We've
00:56 just spoken to Danny Rowe. That was the message, wasn't it? Frustration at the lack of taking
01:02 chances. Certainly in that first 20 minutes, there were a flurry of chances. It's cost
01:06 Wednesday all season. Yeah, I mean, he sort of mentioned four games. I can't remember
01:11 the games exactly that he mentioned. I think Watford and Swansea, Cardiff was the other,
01:15 yeah, where they've picked up three points from those games when it probably should have
01:19 been 12. And you stick 12 points on this, sorry, an extra nine points on this table
01:24 and it makes a big difference. But that has been something. I mean, up until recently,
01:28 there was a point when Wednesday were the lowest scoring team in the league. And yeah,
01:33 you look at the chance for UK Ugbo early on, I mean, great save from the keeper, Michael
01:37 Smith at the crossbar. If Wednesday had been 3-0 up in that first 20 minutes, I don't think
01:42 it would have flattered them. And instead they weren't and they had to scrap out. They
01:46 finally get ahead. And as is often the case this season, couldn't see it out. And they're
01:50 the things that kill you in these games. It's going to go to the last day, isn't it? Yeah,
01:54 and I'm not happy for it. Don't want it. This football club and drama go hand in hand. We'll
02:00 leave it there for now. Plenty of analysis and reaction to this game in the coming days.
02:05 And then looking forward ahead, of course, the 7000 away and that will be travelling
02:13 to Blackburn Rovers on Sunday in what already feels like a must win for Wednesday if they're
02:17 going to stay in the championship. We've said that for every game. Must win the six of that
02:22 October. But yeah, keep it locked as ever to thestart.co.uk
