The Israeli Defense Force, or IDF, killed three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Ismail Haniyeh also responded to the deaths of his three sons and promised to carry out a retaliatory attack.

Ismail Haniyeh received news of his sons' deaths while he was in the hospital in Doha, Qatar. At that time, he was visiting injured Palestinians who had been evacuated from the Gaza Strip. An aide received the news and immediately called Ismail Haniyeh.
Hearing the sad news, Ismail Haniyeh just nodded and looked down. He slowly walked out of the room. Ismail Haniyeh also confirmed the death in an interview with Al-Jazera, saying that his son was a target on the way to liberate Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa mosque.

Ismail Haniyeh admitted that he would not be afraid; in fact, Hamas' position would not soften, and he was likely to increasingly want revenge after the death of his son and defend the residents of Gaza, Palestine, who were oppressed by Israeli Zionists.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh's three children and four grandchildren were killed in a deadly attack by the Israeli army on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. It is known that they were on a family visit on the first day of Eid al-Mubarak at a refugee camp.
Ismail Haniyeh's three children are named Hazem, Amir, and Muhammad.

This incident occurred in the midst of ceasefire negotiation efforts carried out by Hamas, Egypt, Israel, and the United States. The Israeli military, in its statement, confirmed that it had targeted Ismail Haniyeh's family. They described Ismail Haniyeh's sons as members of the Hamas military who were carrying out terror campaigns in the Gaza Strip.

In response to the deaths of his son and grandson, Ismail Haniyeh chose to be grateful, according to him. His family was martyred by his statement. Ismail Haniyeh also said that the attack on his family was proof of Israel's failure because it continues to face Palestinian fighters in Gaza.

Ismail Haniyeh stated that the killing would not change Hamas' position in the ongoing ceasefire negotiations. The news of the deaths of his son and grandson was reported when Ismail Haniyeh was in Doha, Qatar.
