00:00 on a short six game slate around MLB today. Plenty of clubs off on this Thursday and some
00:09 day baseball that includes in Arlington, the reigning World Series champs, the Rangers
00:14 with a winning record to begin seven and five to the first 12 games in the A's. Craig, maybe
00:20 not as bad as we expected four and eight, not in the bottom of the American league West.
00:25 Where the Astros are in last. So a matchup today in Arlington, Texas, a minus one 80
00:31 home money line favorite. How do you preview the Texas tussle? Very hard to see the A's
00:36 winning this one for me this afternoon. Now look, it is April. And as we said, I mean,
00:41 the Marlins, you know, last night were, you know, plus 200. I mean, anything can happen
00:45 in baseball in April. So let's not rule that out. But that being said today, I know both
00:49 pitchers are not pitching particularly well. JPC years on the side of Oakland and John
00:54 gray on the side of Texas. And by the way, there isn't a ton of data that shows that
00:58 the hitters have faced either of these pictures all that much gray, of course, once upon a
01:02 time pitching in the national league before moving over to Texas. But, you know, to me,
01:07 this is sort of the situation where if you look at Sears, it starts, uh, is struggled
01:11 in the first five innings. Oakland falls behind whether or not they come back, sort of becomes
01:16 irrelevant. Maybe that would be more of the direction to go here with the Texas Rangers
01:20 and not worry about the end result of the game. So, you know, certainly never advising
01:26 laying minus one 70 in a first five, but I don't see a ton of other options here because
01:30 I think that Oakland could score on gray as well. Brent Rooker in particular is the one
01:35 player on the A's. It's had a lot of success against gray Houston and Kansas city today
01:41 at two 10 Eastern windy conditions out there at Kaufman. But if you take a look at these
01:45 teams, I tell you one team is a game at a first place. One team is in last place. Yeah,
01:49 of course it's Kansas city. That's in last place. Not the case here. Houston in last
01:53 place. Brown's going to be on the mound versus singer, but you do have a favorite here for
01:57 the road team. The Houston Astros at a minus one 42 number Houston really struggling Kansas
02:02 city playing good baseball. What can we anticipate today? Greg Royals playing great baseball
02:06 right now. Not just good. This is the best baseball they've played in April in a long
02:10 period of time. Uh, Brady singer pitching his best baseball ever right now. But I know
02:16 that that's, you know, sort of the line you're looking at it like this is screwy. Why are
02:19 they minus one 40? I mean, Hunter Brown is pitching for Houston guys. This is a good
02:23 pitcher. He faced the Rangers. He faced the Yankees the first two times out. He got obliterated.
02:28 This is not the, the, the Royals are good. You know, they're not those teams. So I think
02:32 there's a bounce back coming from Houston today. I would look toward the under here.
02:36 I think both pitchers have a chance to pitch particularly well. Royals, generally speaking,
02:40 a park that usually goes under the total.
