22-year-old spectator Alessandro Valletta, from Pescaglia, province of Lucca, Italy, died in the Ospedale Cisanello, Pisa, on Tuesday afternoon, 26 March 2024, from injuries suffered ten days earlier, when he was struck by a flying wheel that had come off one of the competing cars in the Rally del Ciocco.

The accident took place on Saturday, 16 March 2024, during the eighth special stage "Renaio 2" of the rally, when the #49 Peugeot 208 R4 driven by Federico Gangi-Andrea Ferrari lost the front right wheel after ending up a gutter, while tackling a downhill hairpin bend. The car left the road and crashed into a tree, both its occupants were unhurt.

The wheel flew high into the air hitting in the chest and face Alessandro Valletta who was spectating the rally with other friends, standing over an embankment in a safe area, several meters from the road. His condition was deemed critical when he was taken to Pisa hospital. Despite undergoing emergency surgery, he never recovered and succumbed to his internal injuries ten days after the accident.

(Some people like to whine about the fact of "stealing" clips, but for me anyone can upload my clips. I don't really care and im glad some people repost my videos to YouTube. Thanks! :) I dont have a problem like it unlike certain people on Df1 or tfl LOL! It's kinda funny how they lie and make up precentages to look like a victim when if using their logic they have not only "stolen" my videos I uploaded, but everyone elses because they weren't the filmer! So weird how some people can get so angry over that)
