00:00 division but other than that these guys came out banging. Yeah. Looks like we got
00:04 a relative same reach advantage same height advantage so there's not gonna be
00:09 you know on the tail of the tape you would say that this is a pretty even
00:12 fight. Now we'll just start seeing when they start moving let's see how they
00:17 look when they start moving. On my research for this fight I couldn't find
00:20 out anything about these guys amateur records their USA boxing records I
00:25 couldn't get a lot of information about this so you know according to me and you
00:28 this is gonna be a fresh fight for us to call.
00:32 And here we go.
00:51 We got Orthodox against Orthodox.
00:56 Trujillo definitely trying to establish that jab he's come out with a couple
01:02 double jabs nice left hook right there. And he's putting it up high up low he's you know
01:07 he's being very whoa. Thought he got caught. He's got some good head movements I think he
01:13 slipped that one I think that right hand landed. He's got to get back to that jab
01:18 establish that range I think Trujillo's probably the range here fighter and
01:21 there he goes.
01:24 He's definitely lead hand lead hand dominant right now he hasn't really
01:30 trip hammered that right hand yet. Those jabs are landing. Yeah when it's working why you know why
01:36 abandon it when it's working. He's got that short little hopping in left hook
01:41 too. I would like to see him get that left hand back up. I tell you what
01:49 De La Cruz is landing that right that short right hand right and he's got a
01:52 high guard so a lot of those shots aren't doing a ton of damage. Comes back
01:56 answers with a jab of his own. I feel like anytime he does something with that
02:01 lead hand other than a jab he doesn't bring it back to his face as fast as
02:04 possible. There's that right hand and it's always off the hook. Yeah his jab he
02:12 seems to be bringing back but that that hook like you said is a little bit slow
02:16 coming back. As you can see that hands dipping down that elbows going up. It's
02:20 like he's spinning over instead of changing levels. Like throwing an off jab.
02:27 Trying to introduce a little left hand of his own. There's a good little combo
02:36 right there. Backs him off with the jab again good little stiff jab. De La Cruz
02:43 coming out with a left hook of his own. He's definitely a game he's definitely
02:47 in this fight. And you know he's the one walking in. There's that overhand right
02:52 it's that it's that left hand is just coming back a little bit too slow for my
02:55 taste just like you said.
02:58 De La Cruz's game. De La Cruz is here to fight.
03:13 He looks like the sharper fast fighter. Who are you talking about? De La Cruz?
03:18 De La Cruz. Especially when Trujillo stops jabbing. When he stops jabbing he he starts to get
03:27 outstruck. He's definitely putting more on the combinations. He's doing a little
03:35 bit more on the combinations. I think Trujillo just has to really establish
03:38 that jab and find that timing with De La Cruz. But De La Cruz is throwing so many
03:42 things you know he's hard to get timing off. Yeah. Like a little spin off.
03:48 Good first round. Honestly I'd probably give that first round to De La Cruz.

04:30 Thank you to our sponsor Tequila Mandala. Right. We'd be remiss to mention
04:35 that the person featured in that Tequila Mandala commercial was George
04:38 Acosta who's normally our third man in the booth not here with us tonight. But
04:43 he's always here with us in spirit and here with us on the Tequila Mandala
04:46 commercial. We miss you George.
04:50 Let's see if they made some adjustments in each corner now. Looks like De La Cruz
04:59 trying to make this a little bit of a brawl. Yeah definitely. But he's doing it
05:02 very consciously. He's smart. And that right hand. That right hand's a trip hammer.
05:07 I think he stuck him with that jab there.
05:11 Now his jab is popping in there. Yeah exactly. Now De La Cruz is
05:18 definitely turning it up now. I think that that first round he built a lot of
05:22 confidence. Confidence yeah. And when they get inside I feel like De La Cruz is
05:27 having a little bit more success. I feel like Trujillo's trying to get his feet.
05:34 He's trying to get his footwork in now. He's trying to get his feet underneath
05:36 him. Find that smooth stance on the outside. But De La Cruz is here to brawl.
05:42 And he can move too. It must be the wrestling shoes De La Cruz is wearing. It must be.
05:54 And although some of those right hands aren't landing by De La Cruz aren't
05:58 landing flush. They're still landing. There's still some connection. Different
06:02 parts of the head. You know he's still banging away. And that right hand that
06:05 lead right hand is money every time. I'm a huge fan of that lead right hand. I
06:10 mean you know you and I have been doing that forever. Where we lead with that
06:12 right hand and really setting up that those combinations after.
06:22 Another good little jab that got through the guard. Working that body on the
06:26 inside.
06:28 Trujillo seems to be coming a little bit more forward this round. Yeah.
06:39 Little switch stance by De La Cruz right there. And he. Trujillo has completely
06:45 stopped jabbing. I would like to see him start to take some of this round
06:50 back. Try to build some confidence to go into the next round. Yeah. De La Cruz is
06:55 doing a little bit something different where he's almost drawing him in. He's
06:57 like drawing him into that lead right hand. And then he wedges himself inside.
07:01 There it is again. He wedges himself inside. And then is able to work the body.
07:06 Come upstairs. Right there. Oh that was a clean right hand by Trujillo. Now he's
07:15 got to not get overzealous right now. He's got to he's got to compile some
07:18 stuff on top of that. He's getting a little bit too hungry right now. He
07:21 landed a beautiful right hand. Settle down and let's and put some more work in.
07:27 Seems like he's loading up for the big shots a little bit. Yeah. And that's
07:35 what happened. A lot of these younger fighters they land a shot and it
07:38 hurts them and they abandon the game plan. And they're still new right?
07:42 They're still they don't have enough rounds under their belt to know this is
07:46 what I do. This is what I do after I land a big shot. And really take their time
07:50 with the destruction of them. Now you don't have a lot of time. You know they
07:56 only got four rounds. So there's not a lot of there's not a lot of feeling out
08:00 process that's gonna happen in this fight. They got to go for it. The fight's
08:03 halfway over right now. And it's high one point.
08:12 That last round could have went either way. I thought Trujillo landed the bigger
08:16 one shot. But I felt like De La Cruz still landed a lot of shots you know.
08:21 And who knows what's going on the in the mind of these judges. You know half the
08:25 time they're sleeping. Half the time they're watching the fights. They might
08:28 be looking at the ring car girls on the outside. Some pretty nice ring car girls.
08:34 Muy bueno.
08:38 [Music]
08:41 Yes ladies and gentlemen I am bilingual at times.
08:49 Here we go. Start of round three.
08:54 Great jab. Great jab by De La Cruz right there.
09:05 I'm not a huge fan of that jab to the low abdomen. Especially with a guy that's
09:10 landed straight right hands on you. You know you're just you're taking a big
09:15 chance by leaving your jaw open. Especially if you're not covering that
09:17 chin with your shoulder. Exactly. You know he's fully committed to it. You know every
09:25 time he throws that he's he's all the way in. Not necessarily getting out fast
09:30 enough I would like. But I feel like that stabbing motion that he's doing is
09:36 giving him that little reaction to get out. Exactly. And I like what De La Cruz is
09:40 doing. He's shooting that jab and then he's getting in. He's just using that
09:44 single punch to close that distance. And while Trujillo is rolling then Cruz is
09:49 coming up with that right hand left hook uppercuts. You know he's he's he's being
09:53 patient after that jab in when he gets into that that cover and Trujillo gets
09:57 into that roll.
10:02 Another good stingy jab. And he's just he's he's doing more work on the
10:20 inside right there. Yeah when he gets in there he's definitely like getting all
10:25 he can while he's in there.
10:28 Getting in there collecting this check.
10:33 He's trying to get Trujillo to over commit and drop that right hand back in
10:38 there again. Now normally I'm more a fan of the guy that's walking the person
10:47 down that's very much our style but at times you know what he's doing by
10:51 pulling Trujillo in seems to be working for him. Yeah.
10:56 I feel like Trujillo might be digging in that second punch of his just a little
11:05 bit too much instead of just throwing it smooth and clean. I think if he cleaned
11:08 up that that second punch you'd have a little bit more success with it.
11:20 I'll tell you what these three round these three minute rounds go by super
11:23 fast. I can't tell from this angle but I feel like Trujillo's left eye is swollen.
11:29 Well it it probably is from all those straight right hands.
11:34 You know you can get lured in beautiful exchange by both these guys right there.
11:45 Now we're in the dogfight.
11:50 I had to get some ones ready right.

12:26 Ladies and gentlemen this is the fourth and final round.
12:54 Welcome back ladies and gentlemen I am getting my dollars ready because I feel
12:58 like this round is definitely gonna turn around. They're gonna get a little bit
13:01 more excited and they're gonna start swinging letters. They're actually both
13:05 guys coming out fast coming out strong throwing some big combinations. With the
13:09 ending of last round you could really see that last round sort of going either
13:12 way. I would probably give the slight advantage to De La Cruz and I'll tell
13:17 you what sometimes you can get lured in by a guy's record and think that he's
13:21 not the fighter that you know maybe he's outmatched the other guys undefeated.
13:24 He's got a he's got a negative record but I tell you what De La Cruz is not
13:28 fighting like he's the guy with the negative record right now.
13:32 He's fighting like a guy who wants to change he wants to turn his career around.
13:37 Two stiff jabs by Trujillo right there. Two beautiful stiff jabs I liked.
13:46 Nice little inside combination uppercut left hook.
13:51 Beautiful jab.
14:01 [Crowd noise]
14:17 You know De La Cruz hasn't gone back to that lead right hand. Last round he
14:21 didn't do it that much this round he's not even showing it. Yeah. He's he's
14:25 sticking that jab in there. So a lot of other things are working for him. Right
14:29 but don't forget what got us there. Beautiful combination little turn right
14:33 there. Nice left hook by Trujillo though.
14:38 Brings it back to the center of the ring. I mean we got we got we got no more
14:42 rounds after this. They got to let it go. Somebody's got somebody's got to really
14:46 step up right here and make a make a statement of this round because we don't
14:49 know how round two and three went. I mean I'm all in on De La Cruz with those two
14:55 the rounds two and three. I feel like Trujillo needs to get this round so we can
15:01 tie up this fight. I feel like one one and three went to De La Cruz. Trujillo
15:05 could have could have edged out round two.
15:09 Beautiful jab by Trujillo right there. Yeah that right eye is definitely closed
15:16 on Trujillo. Sorry. 34 seconds left we got to pick up the action right here. One of
15:23 these guys has got to make a statement.
15:26 Beautiful little stance switch back to a right lead right hand. Another beautiful
15:36 quick little short right hand.
15:40 Ten seconds left here comes the brawl. Here's here's where the machismo comes
15:45 out. Let them fight ref. Beautiful fight good show of sportsmanship after. I'm
15:56 probably gonna lean towards De La Cruz in that but with the judges you never
15:59 know and Trujillo did some great stuff. Really good stuff. I just wish he wouldn't
16:06 have banded that jab at rounds two and three. I would have liked him to
16:10 see round one that that double jab was working and really set it up and maybe
16:14 not maybe not open up with so much stuff afterwards you know maybe don't show the
16:19 hook right away especially when that lead right hand was connecting. The first
16:22 few times you got to make an adjustment whether you're sliding to the left or
16:26 moving out. And there's another thing these guys are young in their careers
16:32 very young they can go back watch this fight learn from everything good and bad
16:37 that happened in the fight. It was way more good than bad and and honestly it didn't really
16:43 feel like I was watching two young guys. Absolutely not.
16:49 You know it's it's so different fighting these four four round fights as opposed
17:12 to what you know a traditional experienced boxer would do where they
17:16 got eight ten rounds to be able to work be able to set something up take their
17:21 time find the holes. Here there's just not enough time. You know three minutes
17:26 goes by super fast. It doesn't feel fast when you're in there sometimes but on
17:31 the outside that those rounds.
17:34 [crowd noise]
17:47 Ladies and gentlemen how about a big round of applause for both of these
17:51 fighters. Going for active rounds here to start things off. Fight Club OC. We go to
18:00 the scorecards for our decision. Judge Mike Bell, Judge Don Howard, Judge Chris
18:05 Liebman all seeing this by identical scores of 40 to 36 all for the winner by
18:11 unanimous decision mysterious Michael De La Cruz.
18:19 [crowd noise]
18:21 Like I said I'm not mad at that I'm not mad at those those decisions
18:25 potentially I could have give round two to Trujillo but.
18:28 But one more time, Adrian Tree.
