00:00 Happy Friday to all of us, I am Benison S. Tareja.
00:04 The effects of three different weather systems in our country are continuous.
00:09 First is the ridge of a high-pressure area in the North Pacific Ocean
00:13 and it extends to the eastern side of the Northern Luzon.
00:17 Meanwhile, for the rest of Luzon plus Visayas,
00:19 the hot wind from the Pacific Ocean called the Easter Leaves is also blowing.
00:24 Meanwhile, here in the eastern part of Mindanao,
00:27 we have the effect of a trough of a low-pressure area.
00:30 As of 2 in the morning, this LPA is the last to pass outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility,
00:35 645 kilometers east-west of General Alsanto City.
00:40 Based on our analysis, this will not enter our Area of Responsibility
00:44 and we do not expect it to be a storm.
00:47 This ridge of high-pressure area plus the Easter Leaves
00:50 will still bring hot and humid weather to a large part of our country.
00:55 We do not expect any other weather disturbance to enter our area in the coming days.
01:01 For today, we expect almost the same weather conditions as yesterday
01:06 here in a large part of Luzon,
01:08 the effect of the Easter Leaves plus the extension of the high-pressure area.
01:12 Here in a large part of Luzon,
01:14 it is partly cloudy and sometimes the sky is clear from morning to afternoon.
01:18 There are chances of rain and short-term rains from afternoon to night.
01:24 Here in Metro Manila, the temperature is from 24 to 35 degrees Celsius.
01:29 Take note, yesterday we recorded a record temperature here in Metro Manila
01:33 for this year of 35.5 degrees Celsius, the actual temperature.
01:38 Here in Baguio, it will remain cold from 17 to 26 degrees Celsius.
01:43 But there are still places in Luzon where we can experience a dangerous level of heat index
01:48 or where our body feels hot.
01:50 The temperature is up to 42 degrees Celsius here in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
01:54 while the heat index is 43 degrees Celsius in Tukoy, Garao City, Cagayan.
01:59 For our fellow countrymen in Palawan and a large part of Visayas,
02:03 it is almost the same weather conditions as yesterday, partly cloudy
02:07 and sometimes the sky is clear from morning to afternoon.
02:10 There are still places on the eastern side because of the Easter Leaves,
02:14 there are chances of rain and short-term rains.
02:18 The temperature in Palawan will remain hot up to 34 degrees Celsius
02:22 and there are places like Puerto Princesa, Palawan, and Borlan
02:27 where we can experience 42 to 43 degrees Celsius heat index.
02:31 Here in Visayas, the heat index is the highest in Dumangas, Iloilo, and Katarman, Northern Samar.
02:38 For our fellow countrymen in Mindanao, there are still chances of rain
02:42 here in the eastern part of Davao Region and Soksa Djeng
02:45 because of the trough or extension of the LPA in the eastern part of Mindanao.
02:50 So, we have sometimes low temperatures until the right time for rain.
02:54 When it comes to the northern part of Mindanao,
02:56 it is partly cloudy and sometimes the sky is cloudy
02:59 especially in the Bansa Moro Region and nearby places in Zamboanga Peninsula.
03:03 That is also affected by the trough of low-pressure area.
03:06 There are also chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
03:10 For our fellow countrymen in Metro Davao, the temperatures are 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
03:15 while there are still places where the heat index is possibly above 40 degrees Celsius
03:20 including the cities of Zamboanga and Cotabato City.
03:24 For our fellow countrymen in a large part of our country,
03:27 those who live in the urban areas, in highly urbanized areas,
03:30 always drink water in 8 to 10 glasses per day
03:34 and always bring a heater when leaving the house from 10 am to 4 pm
03:40 such as an umbrella, an umbrella, shades, and wear comfortable clothing.
03:45 For our fellow countrymen in the next few days,
03:49 we do not have high-level gale warnings.
03:51 That means we do not have sea travel suspensions,
03:54 we will remain in the high-altitude areas in a large part of the country
03:58 except when we have thunderstorms.
04:02 And for the next three days, we will still expect the effect of ridge of high-pressure areas in the north
04:07 and easterly in a large part of our country.
04:10 But by tomorrow, there will still be rain showers in the southern part of Mindanao,
04:13 with the effect of LPA, and then afterwards, the low-pressure area will also be possible to be affected.
04:18 So here in Luzon, for Metro Manila and Baguio City,
04:21 the weather conditions will be almost the same for the next three days,
04:25 partly cloudy, until the sky is sometimes sunny
04:28 and the weather will remain warm and sunny for our fellow countrymen here in Metro Manila
04:33 and nearby areas in Central Luzon and Calabarzon
04:36 with isolated rain showers here in Aurora and the northern portion of Quezon.
04:41 Here in Bicol Region, there are also chances of isolated rain showers,
04:44 but here in Legazpi City and nearby areas,
04:47 the weather will remain clear, fair weather conditions in the morning until the afternoon,
04:51 and there are many chances that we will see the Mayon Volcano.
04:55 Temperatures in Metro Manila will still be possible to reach up to 35 degrees Celsius.
05:00 For our fellow countrymen in Visayas, the weather will remain warm and sunny,
05:04 and that is the effect of the Easter Leaks.
05:07 So here in Metro Cebu, it will be up to 33 degrees,
05:09 but they may already experience 38 or 39 degrees Celsius heat index,
05:14 while the heat index is still the highest here in Iloilo, Rojas Capiz, and Northern Samar,
05:19 while there are still isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with high chances on the eastern side of Visayas.
05:26 And lastly, to our fellow countrymen in Mindanao,
05:28 we still have chances of rain by tomorrow due to the trough of low-pressure areas
05:32 here in Davao Region, Soc Sabjen, and a large portion of Bangsamoro Region,
05:36 plus the southern portion of Zamboanga Peninsula.
05:39 There will be a chance of thunder because it is still possible for light to moderate rains.
05:44 While the remaining portion of Mindanao will be part of the cloudy skies by tomorrow.
05:49 By Sunday and Monday, a large portion of Mindanao will experience fair weather conditions.
05:54 The weather will be clear, but there are still chances of localized thunderstorms,
05:59 especially in the Caraga Region and Davao Region.
06:02 Our sunrise is at 5.49am and the sunset is at 6.09pm.
