00:15 Chief Justice Peshawar High Court has written a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faiz Ishaq,

00:23 expressing concerns about the judges' allegations in the Supreme Court.

00:31 The letter from Chief Justice Peshawar High Court states that

00:35 "In the Supreme Court, I am writing to you with a heavy heart and disappointment

00:40 regarding the judges' allegations of arbitrary treatment and negligence.

00:45 I would like to draw your attention to this important matter.

00:49 In the Supreme Court, there were four empty cases of judges,

00:53 but Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan of Balochistan High Court was appointed and only one case was filled.

00:59 It was very disappointing when it was found that there was only one judge in the Supreme Court,

01:03 and that too was appointed from your province.

01:06 In the Supreme Court, there were four empty cases of judges.

01:10 He has also written in his letter that

01:12 "I am writing to Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, who was appointed and only one case of judges was filled.

01:18 I am truly happy for him, but despite the fact that my seniority,

01:22 authority and ease of access to the Supreme Court were denied,

01:25 why was my petition not considered?

01:29 I am the second senior judge in all the Chief Justices of the High Courts of Pakistan.

01:34 In his letter, he also says that I am a member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan

01:39 and the Judicial Council of Pakistan.

01:43 I am a member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan and I had the right expectation that

01:48 my petition would be included in the list of judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

01:52 If I had not been appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court after a proper investigation by the Judicial Commission,

01:59 I would have gladly accepted the decision."

02:02 In his letter, he also writes that

02:04 "Seeing the backlog of case cases, I thought that

02:07 I would feel compelled to fill the Chief Justice's cases immediately.

02:15 Because the taxpayers who pay our salaries expect that the cases should be filled immediately

02:21 so that the court can work with full force and provide justice.

02:25 And it is a duty to work with full force for the provision of justice."

02:29 He also writes in his letter that

02:31 "This decision of appointing a judge has left me worried and in search of real answers.

02:37 I am thinking about possible reasons for not filling the judges' cases,

02:41 but I could not think of any logical and convincing reason."

02:46 He also writes in his letter that

02:48 "I have been serving with honesty for 31 years

02:52 and during my entire service, I have been steadfast in justice,

02:56 and I have been working with full force for justice and accountability.

03:02 I was confident in these principles that

03:05 I would naturally be able to work with full force and help my career progress.

03:12 But the current situation is contrary to that."

03:16 He also writes in his letter that

03:18 "I am in my motherland, in the midst of the political turmoil of peace and harmony,

03:23 and I am making the decision to keep the rule of law and the rule of the law in place.

03:29 My resolve is unwavering."
