Mancunians discuss potholes in Greater Manchester

We ask people on the streets of Manchester about potholes in the area.

00:00 I think wherever you go, there's potholes everywhere.

00:03 I think local authorities, it's not I on their agenda to fix potholes.

00:08 I think the main thing is social care, because that's where they're struggling with that side of it.

00:14 So I think all the money is going into social care rather than fixing roads.

00:20 It's just a disgrace to be honest, because to be honest, I've seen like how they use,

00:26 especially with this weather, the material that they use for the street, it's quite bad.

00:33 It tends to like create potholes and obviously this becomes a nightmare for drivers and

00:39 also for pedestrians as well, because it can be unsafe. People can like slip and fall.

00:43 Quite, well, quite a few potholes obviously and when they fix them, they don't do them right.

00:49 So within months, they're back up again.

00:53 The way they do them, they do them that quick and half fill them and whatever and they're not lasting.

00:58 I think that's a lot to do with it.
