00:00 It's back again. Tamworth's biggest local shopping promotion has returned for a seventh year.
00:06 This cost of living crisis that we're facing across the nation,
00:09 we all know that every business in our centre, in our local government area, needs our support.
00:14 And I think this Shop Local campaign is just something that can do that.
00:18 From today until the final draw in 10 weeks' time,
00:24 anyone who spends $30 or more at a participating business anywhere across the Tamworth LGA
00:31 can enter the lucky draw and be in the running to win the new Skoda Scala Ambition, worth just over $38,000.
00:39 We've got over 120 businesses already registered, all wanting to see, you know,
00:44 showcase that they're supporting our region, which is fantastic.
00:47 But with customers keeping a tight grip on their wallets, the question remains.
00:53 Will the promotion actually get shoppers to spend?
00:56 It depends on how important it is.
00:59 I mean, I could just spend money willy-nilly at the moment.
01:02 I think we're all being very conservative about it.
01:05 But, you know, it's interesting. We do get excited when they have a promotion, I think.
01:10 And with more than 120 businesses participating around the Tamworth region,
