00:00 In 2019, when I was 12, so I decided to be one of those people who fight for the planet and all that is happening.
00:09 We are moving towards a point of no return where climate, ecosystems, planet health are getting worse.
00:16 And therefore, seeing all that, I decided to act.
00:20 Hi, I'm Olivia Mandel, environmental activist.
00:23 Every year we throw 13 million tons of plastic into the ocean.
00:29 This is amazing. We have the sea, we have the forest that gives us so much.
00:35 I think we find a great motivation in the earth itself and in its beauty.
00:41 It's our one and only home.
00:43 They're trying to find life in other planets, but we do not need to focus on that.
00:51 We need to focus on the solutions on how to save this planet.
00:57 If your house is on fire, what do you do? You run, right?
01:01 We should not run, but face the fire.
01:22 What happens when you have depression? The doctors recommend you go out and run, move.
01:28 That's what you have to do. Go out and run and move.
01:31 It's a hope. People often have hope, but they don't act to make that hope a real thing.
01:37 That's my invitation. To have eco-hope, but with action.
