00:00 Hello there, welcome to your latest weather forecast from the Met Office. As we go through
00:04 the next few days, low pressure remains in charge across the UK. That means that we will
00:10 see some further rain but also a little bit of sunshine from time to time. Winds also
00:15 coming up from the south so generally we'll be feeling a little bit less cold than it
00:19 has been of late. So a little bit more detail as we end Good Friday. The main focus of the
00:25 showers will be across more western and northern parts of the country. The further east you
00:30 are likely to turn dry overnight. But that may allow a few mist and fog patches to form
00:35 and in the countryside probably cold enough for a touch of frost. So a bit of a chilly
00:40 start out there for most of us but there will be some sunshine from the word go. Just the
00:45 risk of a little bit of cloud and patchy rain just fringing the far east of Kent and East
00:49 Anglia. But I think for a lot of England and Wales actually it should be largely dry with
00:54 some bright spells. The main focus of the showers will be across Scotland and Northern
00:58 Ireland where one or two could be on the heavy side. Temperature wise in the north ranging
01:03 between about 11 to 12 degrees, in the south 14 or 15 degrees. So into the evening a lot
01:10 of the UK actually turning dry and clear. Exceptions down towards the far south west
01:15 could see some heavy showers here. Difficult driving conditions for a time as they move
01:19 through. They may well just begin to move in towards Northern Ireland come the end of
01:23 the night. And at the same time some mist and low clouds just beginning to seep in off
01:28 the North Sea. But under the clear skies it will be fairly cold especially across Scotland
01:32 could see a fairly widespread frost in the countryside. Easter day also signals us going
01:38 into British summer time so the clocks will go forward at 1am on Sunday morning. So don't
01:44 forget to put your clocks forward as you head to bed. And for Easter day itself we start
01:48 off quite murky across eastern parts but the cloud will burn its way back towards the North
01:53 Sea although some North Sea coast could remain rather murky right throughout the day. Still
01:58 the risk of some heavy showers across south western parts of England and a few also moving
02:03 into other western districts. But for many central parts of the country actually quite
02:08 a decent Easter day to come and in the sunshine feeling pleasantly warm, highs reaching around
02:12 14, 15 possibly even 16 degrees. And in a quick look at Easter Monday a little bit of
02:19 a north south split developing, many southern areas turning rather grey and damp but hanging
02:25 on to the largely dry and bright weather further north. But for all of us it will probably
02:29 feel a little bit cooler than it will be on Easter day. Well you can find out more information
02:33 about the weather where you are over the coming days on our website or our app. But for now
02:38 from me take care and I'll see you again soon.
