00:29 Welcome to our segment of goodness.
00:32 This is a segment of Allah and Allah's people.
00:36 And on this occasion, our guest today is Allah's trust.
00:41 And Waseem bhai is doing a surprising job.
00:44 Obviously, we don't hear much noise, but the work is so big
00:49 that when we showed the package, the kitchen inside it
00:52 The kitchen is made with millions of rupees.
00:55 Which can cook food for 75,000 people in just two hours.
01:00 And daily, Allah's people are feeding 50,000 people.
01:06 And for school children, especially in different cities of Pakistan
01:11 And in Gilgit-Baltistan, especially, the provision of food for children
01:15 So that they are aware of the school.
01:17 And there are many other projects.
01:19 Shahid Dhon is with us.
01:21 Thank you so much.
01:23 Thank you for the work you are doing for the whole nation.
01:26 And thank you for your time.
01:28 So in 2010, Allah's trust was established.
01:31 Tell us what was the need for it?
01:35 Who were the people who moved forward?
01:37 And what was the vision at that time?
01:39 In the beginning, we had made a desk, like normal friends make together.
01:45 In that, there is an old lady, who is our aunt.
01:48 We call her Lali aunty.
01:50 She also told us to start eating.
01:53 And friends also told us.
01:55 So we started a routine desk.
01:57 Then to add cause to it, when we started studying.
02:01 Then we started the school food program.
02:05 The school meal program is run all over the world.
02:08 But we have branded it as school food program.
02:11 And we started from the school of the mosque, the one room school.
02:15 There is a Kavish Welfare Trust, we started from there.
02:18 And we started from the school of custom welfare.
02:21 And why was there a logic behind the schools, why should the food be given in the schools?
02:25 Actually, in the whole world, the nutrition of the children is taken care of.
02:29 In the circumstances of Pakistan, there was a problem of starvation.
02:34 Now you know that 2 crore 62 lakh children, the official figure, are out of the schools.
02:39 And the number of children in the schools is 2 crore 50 lakh.
02:42 So you think, if Singapore is 57 million,
02:45 then 4 Singapore is out of our schools.
02:48 And UAE and Israel are also 1 crore 10 million.
02:52 So about 2.5-2.5 million of Israel and UAE are on our roads.
02:58 So from there we thought that it should be done with cause.
03:01 And then it was that you can measure it with its key performance indicators.
03:06 So that's why we went to the school meal program.
03:09 And now where all over Pakistan, food is given in schools?
03:11 We were giving it in Lahore, then we went to the federal school.
03:15 Then we went to Gilgit, then to Chilas, then to Skardu.
03:18 Now we have come to Faisalabad.
03:20 And in this attendance, did you see any change in the attendance of the children?
03:25 That the children were given food and were more eager to eat.
03:28 See, the key performance indicators, one is enrollment, which we call admission.
03:34 One is attendance, which we call attendance.
03:37 One is retention, which is the dropout, which we call those who leave school.
03:42 I am telling you one thing that the number of children who leave school is 62% in Punjab.
03:48 And in the overall country, 65% of the children leave school by 5 pm.
03:52 So then we decided that the biggest dropout was in primary schools.
03:56 And they make a base, if you don't want to study further,
04:00 then you go to any profession, you can do basic calculations, you can study, so we chose it.
04:05 Eating is a non-traditional intervention, but as soon as we started eating,
04:09 all the KPIs across the board improved.
04:13 That is, in many schools, there were 50 children, they have become 250.
04:18 There is a school in Dehameer, in Chilas, that there were 150 children, they went to 500 schools.
04:25 The building has also changed, children are still coming.
04:27 So the children who used to pick up garbage, they have also come.
04:29 The children who used to beg in the houses, they have also come.
04:31 Those who used to work here and there, they have also come.
04:33 So this is one factor that the number of children has increased and their retention rate.
04:37 And along with that, it is obvious that in terms of their nutrition,
04:40 especially in the children, the protein and other things, are meals specially designed in that regard?
04:44 Look, the girls, because all our problems, the problem of stunting,
04:49 and because of which children are born weak, the reason is that our girls are anemic.
04:53 For that, we have a separate program, which we call Mamta,
04:57 on which we are now launching this campaign, Anemia Free Pakistan.
05:00 So all the food, water and nutrition that we have worked on,
05:05 the end result is that if our girls are healthy, then the future generations will be healthy.
05:09 Long live. In fact, I would request the control room to show some scenes from the kitchen.
05:15 It is very magnificent. Let's talk about it together.
05:18 So this is the school food program. You have told us in detail about Mamta.
05:22 There is also a scholarship, there is also a program for the care of orphaned children.
05:25 Yes, in this, first of all, I would like to tell you what is its model.
05:29 The school meal has a kitchen behind it. This is a central kitchen.
05:33 In the central kitchen, the cars take the cooked food and give it to the school management.
05:42 This is our kitchen, this is Pakistan's largest kitchen.
05:45 It makes 75,000 meals per session.
05:48 And it is very hygienic in every way.
05:50 It is very hygienic. And this is a steam-based cooking technology, a fireless kitchen.
05:54 There is no fire in it.
05:55 The steam heats the kettles and the food is cooked in the kettle.
05:59 And this is of its own nature, in Pakistan, perhaps?
06:01 No, it is there before, but not of this level.
06:04 And this is its design, it is a very internationally acknowledged design.
06:09 And we started this. After Lahore, we started in Islamabad.
06:13 This is the same kitchen and then we did it in Faisalabad.
06:16 So now we have six kitchens, not only in Karachi.
06:19 In Karachi, we have a shelter home in Kurangi, which we have outsourced.
06:25 So now we want to bring school meals.
06:27 The scholarship program is that the professional degree holders,
06:31 in which children get 95% plus marks and come to the university, but they get hardship.
06:36 So we started a scholarship for them.
06:38 My friend, who made the endowment fund in the government college, Hello Nujur Butt Sahib.
06:42 He is the dean of UCP now.
06:44 I gave him his scholarship.
06:46 He was very active in our student times, Mashallah.
06:49 In the old rabbits union too.
06:51 Tell me, this is obviously, where the work is being done on the fronts,
06:56 and as you said, the family started it in a way, took the initiative.
07:00 Now that this work has increased so much, and obviously,
07:03 more needs are felt every day,
07:06 so how is its financial system going on?
07:10 It is like this, we have distributed our duties.
07:13 The funding arrangement is our president, Manzoor Bhatti Sahib.
07:18 I see his execution and I see his dream.
07:21 So far, it is that close family and friends contribute to it.
07:26 In the coming time, we may need a little,
07:30 because we are talking to the federal government,
07:34 the federal government is interested in doing it in all schools.
07:40 We are talking to all the schools in the federal area.
07:44 Because we are already feeding 13,000+ children for free for 2 years.
07:48 Zindabad.
07:49 And in Gilgit, we are talking about the overall GB,
07:52 and Azad Kashmir too, and in Punjab too, the government is doing it.
07:56 If all this happens, then our target is between 2 to 4 lakhs,
08:00 it depends on which MOU is signed first.
08:03 Zindabad.
08:04 My minimum target is from 50,000 to 47,000 school food programs,
08:08 and it is to go from here to 2 lakhs.
08:11 And so far, it is that through the circle of family and friends,
08:14 this big operation is being carried out.
08:16 Yes, yes, this is a family operation.
08:18 So, this is a work in which many people would like to participate in this group.
08:22 Would you like to say something for those people who are watching right now?
08:25 Look, there are many things.
08:27 Actually, my message for people right now is that
08:30 we mostly don't work on prevention.
08:33 We work on nation building, we work on small solutions.
08:36 We have made a hospital.
08:38 Now, the thing is, people are not stopping getting sick, right?
08:41 So, our idea is that we should work on prevention.
08:43 Like, instead of making a dialysis center,
08:45 we should clean the city's water.
08:47 So, right now, in Islamabad, 65% of the water filtration plants in Islamabad,
08:51 we operate and maintain them, and we don't take any money from the government.
08:55 And when I went to Gilgit, there was also a water problem there,
08:58 so we have all the filtration plants in Gilgit city.
09:01 So, the people who want to meet,
09:03 they can join us in the school food program, which is our main program,
09:06 and they can join us in the water filtration plants,
09:09 and clean the water, so that people's problems of kidney and gastroenteritis can be cured.
09:15 So, in 2010, this started with feeding 40 people,
09:19 and that too, probably, lentils and rice were fed.
09:21 Yes, lentils and rice were fed in the beginning.
09:23 As we do it ourselves.
09:24 And now, MashaAllah, 50,000 people in a day.
09:27 So, how is this journey for you and for the people involved in it?
09:30 The interesting thing is that this journey was going on slowly,
09:34 and we were experimenting with the school food program.
09:37 But in the last five years, we pushed the throttle.
09:41 In 2003, we finally…
09:43 First, we fed free food to friends in schools for two years.
09:46 Then, in 2020, we signed up with Mr. Murad Raj from Lahore.
09:54 Then, we signed up from there, and we kept feeding there.
09:57 It's been three years since we entered there.
10:00 Then, we came to Islamabad, and did it there.
10:02 In the last five years, our growth was such that we were feeding 800 students,
10:07 and from 800, we went to 49,000.
10:09 So, it's been a phenomenal growth.
10:11 Right.
10:12 Obviously, we are talking about children and schools,
10:15 but we can see the scenes where thousands of people are doing it with great respect and honor.
10:21 Yes, this is the Ramadan Dastarkhwan that is going on in Lahore.
10:24 Zindabad. So, apart from children,
10:28 like this scene, the cooked food,
10:31 is it being prepared for any other community or any other class, or for ration?
10:36 Look, we are distributing ration for 100,000 people.
10:40 Our target is government schools.
10:42 Okay.
10:43 So, we do it in government schools.
10:45 Apart from this, we have a medical wing,
10:47 which has an eye hospital and a maternity hospital.
10:49 And the picture that is being shown here, we are making a diagnostic center for radiology,
10:56 which has a CT scan, MRI, mammogram, ultrasound, and a digital X-ray.
11:02 And what will be the model of this?
11:04 This will be free of cost.
11:06 We will add pathology to this.
11:08 So, it is under clearance right now.
11:10 The goods have just arrived, and are in custom.
11:12 So, God willing, it will be installed.
11:13 Apart from this, we have an orphanage in Baitul Mal, which we operate.
11:18 We have many other such things that we do together.
11:21 Right. This is a great thing.
11:23 And again, is there anything that you would like to share,
11:26 with reference to Allah Wala Trust,
11:28 something that you would like to share, your experiences,
11:31 especially when children get food,
11:34 as you said, the numbers have increased so rapidly in schools.
11:39 Look, school food is something that can bring our out-of-school children to school,
11:46 and can improve the health of the children in school.
11:49 One rupee that we invest in these children,
11:53 will reduce the load of social protection and other health issues.
11:59 And this one rupee will give us a profit of nine rupees.
12:02 900% profit if we invest in this.
12:05 What Allah will give is luck.
12:07 So, my personal opinion is, like the situation of the country,
12:10 that we should all work together and light the lamp of our share.
12:14 And in this, all the people who want to work,
12:17 can join us and sponsor a child,
12:19 they can sponsor a school,
12:21 they can sponsor their city together.
12:24 And this operation is very,
12:25 like we saw that the kitchen is very magnificent,
12:28 and from the kitchen to the food preparation,
12:30 to the delivery to the schools,
12:31 and then the cutlery and other things,
12:34 managing that itself seems like a very difficult operation.
12:38 I will tell you the truth,
12:40 I came to know that you have shifted to Lahore,
12:42 I will definitely come.
12:44 You should come to the kitchen and see our service.
12:46 This cannot happen without the will of Allah.
12:50 You should believe me,
12:53 that Allah has made food easy for us.
12:56 The Dastarkhan shot that was going on,
13:00 you see that in the wrong name,
13:02 someone is saying that it is the biggest Dastarkhan of Lahore,
13:04 someone is saying that it is the biggest Dastarkhan of Punjab.
13:06 You see that there is no security in this.
13:08 Zindabad
13:10 No one is bothering,
13:12 we are in front of you,
13:13 if you come, we will get you served.
13:15 I will be honored.
13:16 The thing is that we run the Dastarkhan all year round,
13:18 but you see how comfortable we are sitting in Ramadan.
13:21 Many people come and ask how is this possible?
13:23 One is that there is a ray of hope in it,
13:26 that if a person works with his heart in Pakistan,
13:28 then people respond in that way.
13:30 Yes, Discipline and Haq.
13:31 The second is that nothing is possible without the help of Allah.
13:35 And Allah's help is so much in this,
13:38 that Allah makes everything so easy for us that I cannot tell you.
13:42 Zindabad
13:43 May Allah increase your strength and steadfastness.
13:45 There is no doubt that this is a service,
13:49 to feed, but if this decision is taken rightly,
13:53 that is, the children of the school,
13:54 then the health of the children is getting better,
13:56 their future will be better in terms of health.
13:59 Then, in general,
14:00 this is the cause of increasing the level of education,
14:03 Shahid Lone has shared the numbers with us.
14:06 And at the same time,
14:07 the infrastructure of health in the future,
14:10 the burden that is possible due to malnutrition,
14:13 there is a possibility of improvement in that too.
14:16 So a very good decision that you can positively hunt many animals with one arrow.
14:22 Education can be better,
14:23 the health of children can be better,
14:26 the burden on the economic system of Pakistan in the future can be reduced,
14:30 and these children can contribute to the development and happiness of Pakistan.
14:36 So, really impressive,
14:38 there are many prayers,
14:39 May Allah make it successful,
14:41 and we all are Allah's people,
14:44 Jai bhai, Allah's people are doing this work,
14:47 and Allah's people are doing this work,
14:49 to spread the message,
14:51 and to make people happy in any way,
14:53 Allah makes people happy.
14:54 There are thousands of people of God,
14:56 who go around in the forests,
14:57 and I will become their servant,
14:59 who will love the servants of God.
15:01 So, serving Allah's people is a way to make Allah happy.
15:05 So, many prayers,
15:06 and whatever can be done in our time,
15:08 InshaAllah, your hands will also be strengthened.
15:10 Let's go to a break with a lot of applause,
15:12 and with that hope,
15:13 Kabul will also strengthen his hands.
15:15 Thank you.
15:16 [Applause]
