These swans are struggling to swim on the River Welland due to low water levels.

The river is being kept at such a level by the Environment Agency.

The agency says it has lowered the Welland as part of its work to help the Cowbit and Crowland Wash recover after a river bank collapsed following Storm Henk earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the water taxi has postponed the start of its season, while volunteer clean-up crews have used the low water level as an opportunity to fish out the rubbish.
