00:00 Guys, it's been 28 years since Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
00:02 Don't say that out loud!
00:04 I'm sorry, it's been...
00:05 since Sabrina the Teenage Witch,
00:07 and people are still loving it, watching it again,
00:09 showing it to their kids.
00:11 Are you guys at all surprised how much this show, like,
00:14 means to people and how much they love it?
00:16 Yes, very much so.
00:18 And to be such treasured and endeared,
00:21 the young lady called it her comfort show.
00:23 And Beth was saying a couple of minutes ago,
00:25 no way to anticipate that.
00:27 Yeah.
00:28 I didn't know that it's going to go on for 30 years
00:30 and still be making people happy.
00:32 I just came back from Mexico and people were like,
00:34 "Tia Zelda, Tia Zelda!"
00:36 They were, like, following me around.
00:37 "Tia Zelda."
00:38 And they were bringing, you know,
00:39 they, like, delivered, like, cakes to my room.
00:42 And said, "We love you, we love you!"
00:44 Yeah, the things I hear about the show, too,
00:46 like, we learned English from the show,
00:47 or, you know, this show made me want to be a scientist,
00:50 or this show made me...
00:51 and, like, how it kind of directed people's lives.
00:54 And I used to always hear, "I grew up with the show,
00:56 and now I hear I go to bed with your show."
00:59 And you're like, "In what context?"
01:01 I get it, because I'm, like, laying in bed watching it.
01:03 It's like the comfort show, right?
01:04 You know what I love about Sabrina so much
01:06 is that the three most powerful characters on the show
01:09 were the women.
01:10 And back then, that was a big deal.
01:12 You guys had... you could do whatever you wanted.
01:15 And we were all at your mercy.
01:16 So many families are matriarchal,
01:18 if I'm saying that right, center.
01:20 You know, your grandma is the center.
01:21 I mean, growing up in my family,
01:23 grandma was the pivotal person.
01:25 - The most powerful. - Yeah, yeah.
01:27 You know, you walk into that house,
01:28 and it was grandma's house.
01:29 So that fits for me.
01:30 - Yeah. - Totally.
01:31 Like Melissa said, it was really important to me
01:33 to be a scientist on the show,
01:35 to be not just the one in the mini skirts,
01:37 but, you know, but to also be the smart one,
01:40 because that's not something...
01:42 Here before, before that,
01:44 I had played the dumbest girl on TV for a long, long time.
01:47 - Wow, that was good. - Because that's how I looked,
01:49 or that's what they told me I looked like.
01:51 - Right. - Yeah, yeah.
01:52 And so it was really important to me
01:54 to model for young girls, like, no, you can be both.
01:57 - Yeah. - Yeah.
01:58 Absolutely.
01:58 And when people see you,
02:00 and they obviously, you've done so much,
02:01 but yet, you're Sabrina.
02:03 You know, you're...
02:04 Are you okay with that?
02:05 I mean, it's just like, you're...
02:06 Like, it's a character that's just...
02:07 Yeah, it's very strange that my son
02:09 is dating a girl named Sabrina right now.
02:10 So that's very strange.
02:11 - Watch her. - Watch her.
02:12 What?
02:14 Is she a witch?
02:15 No, I don't think so.
02:17 I mean, are we all a little bit of a witch?
02:18 I mean, she's bewitched him, so I guess.
02:21 - But, no. - No.
02:22 So it's, I mean, it is, you know,
02:24 it took me a little while to warm up
02:25 to the, like, the love I was receiving,
02:27 'cause it felt overwhelming at first.
02:29 But over the years, I've really, like,
02:30 I really adore it now, like, being at these
02:32 and having the fans come up
02:33 and just say the most lovely, wonderful, loving things.
02:36 Like, there couldn't be a warmer environment
02:38 than a Comic-Con like this, where it's like,
02:40 you're just surrounded by fans
02:41 that are only there to give love
02:42 and tell you how important you are in their life.
02:44 Like, how do you reciprocate that?
02:45 Yeah.
02:46 Someone called it a love bubble,
02:47 and I'm like, that's such a great...
02:49 Great description of it.
02:50 It feels great.
02:51 I'm gonna use that.
02:52 We're so happy to be here each and every time,
02:54 and we will continue to just keep coming back
02:56 and soaking up all of that love bubble.
02:58 Yeah.
02:59 Are we sharing some reboot news, or what's going on?
03:01 No, we, unfortunately,
03:03 that's out of our control and our power.
03:05 There are other people that own the property now.
03:07 - Yeah. - Mm.
03:08 Okay.
03:09 And the next, but we saw that Netflix did it as well.
03:11 Netflix did, yeah, that was a different Archie comic, though.
03:14 So that was a different comic book that they,
03:15 the IP and all that, you know.
03:16 It's all red tape stuff.
03:18 Well, we have to, like, get rid of that red tape.
03:19 But I just heard, like, is Bewitched coming back?
03:21 I think there's some other show coming back
03:22 that's a witch show, but not ours.
03:24 Never say never.
03:25 But we're here.
03:26 - Yeah. - We're here.
03:27 - We're here. - That's right.
03:28 That's right.
03:29 (upbeat music)
