00:00 Where the river is being drawn down we're having a lot more access to areas we wouldn't usually
00:04 and there's a lot of shopping trolleys and debris that normally we wouldn't have any access to and it does have a big impact on
00:10 wildlife and habitats just the litter being in there
00:13 So the more we can get out the more of a positive benefit it's going to have.
00:16 Just to get the river looking cleaner
00:18 There's been a lot of rubbish put in the river
00:21 Obviously with the river flow at the moment, it's quite strong
00:24 So stuff's getting carried down river and we just will make it safer for people to use the river
00:29 Kayakers, paddle boarders, whoever does want to use the river
00:32 We're really fortunate local supermarkets have offered to take their trolleys away and that's the bulk of it
00:38 Metal stuff will go to recycling centres. It's fantastic
00:43 We've seen 50 volunteers plus turning up
00:45 And one of the reasons I'm here as a volunteer today is because I truly care about the river
00:50 It's a thing that as an angler, we're all conservationists and
00:56 conservationists means that we care about the bird life, the natural habitat and of course the fish
