The film follows a man's quest for vengeance against corrupt leaders who murdered his mother and continue to oppress the poor. Inspired by the legend of Hanuman, Patel stars as Kid, an underground fighter who wears a gorilla mask and endures brutal beatings for cash. Driven by suppressed rage, Kid finds a way to infiltrate the city's elite and unleashes a campaign of retribution against those who wronged him. Directed by Dev Patel, the film also stars Sharlto Copley, Sobhita Dhulipala, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte, Sikandar Kher, and Makarand Deshpande. "MONKEY MAN" is set to release in theaters on April 5, 2024.
