00:00:00 Over the past six months, our three experts have been on a mission to help
00:00:06 singles across Australia find their perfect match. There's a lot of people
00:00:12 out there that are looking for love and you would be one of them. That's Zayam.
00:00:16 We do matchmaking based on a whole bunch of different things. With over 60 years
00:00:21 combined experience, our three experts conducted an intense analysis of all our
00:00:27 singles. And why do you think you need our help at this point? Because I'm
00:00:32 clearly not doing very well on my own. And after vetting nearly 10,000 singles... All I have is
00:00:39 online dating. You guys might have a different way of getting me to look at a
00:00:43 scenario. The reason why this generation is the way that it is, it's because we jump into bed with them straight away.
00:00:47 Our experts are ready to unveil the final two pairings they've made to enter
00:00:54 the 2023 Married at First Sight experiment. Beginning with two successful
00:01:01 business people who are looking to rectify their work-love balance.
00:01:07 My approach to life is go the extra mile. I think I'll always want to chase what's
00:01:20 next. I love big ideas, big opportunities. I've got great work ethic. You could say I
00:01:29 have borderline perfectionism.
00:01:32 I spent years putting my love and my life on hold to build my career.
00:01:43 I'm the CEO and founder of an animal health company and we focus on making
00:01:48 medicines for pets. I actually drive for medicinal cannabis and all things. We have to push on
00:01:53 it quickly to lead a business or lead a company. I think it's really important to
00:01:57 have hustle. When I was very young my mum made me plant a coin into the garden
00:02:02 and I had to go out and water this coin. I'd say the magic words every day for like two
00:02:06 weeks and after two weeks I went out there and looked out. There was this
00:02:09 money tree that had grown out in the backyard. It was fantastic. It was just obviously
00:02:12 coins with glue all over the branches but... Wow. Yeah, it was fantastic. And I
00:02:17 wonder if that, pardon the pun, planted the seed for your entrepreneurship. Yeah, exactly.
00:02:22 I am proud of my career path and my trajectory. For me, money and success just
00:02:27 gives you the flexibility to live the life you want and I guess part of that is
00:02:31 because I want to make sure that I have a life that I want for myself and my
00:02:33 family. But then if you don't have that family, what's it all for? I've only had
00:02:41 two serious relationships in my life. I didn't make the time that I needed to
00:02:45 make. I wasn't at the stage of my life where I was ready for that.
00:02:50 But now the company is super successful. I'm ready to let someone in.
00:02:56 Somebody who is on the same life path and has the same sort of energy as
00:03:02 myself. Somebody who is driven, super motivated and is that person that I can
00:03:10 sort of thrive with. The dream is all of it. Everything. Why can't I have everything
00:03:19 I want? People always doubt me. When they see me, they think blonde, unintelligent,
00:03:27 that I couldn't possibly be this successful businesswoman. Can you just do
00:03:32 four poses for me? I do enjoy being the boss, right? And if we can just get the
00:03:38 side that has the arm. I love the challenge. I love the competition. Can you
00:03:42 put this one down for light brown? My career definitely gets in the way of my
00:03:45 love life. My excuse is always I don't have time. And guys, they get upset. They
00:03:50 don't like it.
00:03:52 I'm 32 and I've been single for four years now. Time just goes and I do wonder
00:04:00 if I've missed the boat. But I'm not ready to give up on love. The relationships
00:04:06 that inspire me are my grandparents and that generation.
00:04:12 That's my wedding day, yes. My Nan has these love letters from Pop that are handwritten.
00:04:17 When he was off in the army, he would write to her from the trenches. They're
00:04:23 super special. Did I ever tell you that I loved you, Mrs. Willis? As that is all
00:04:30 that runs through my mind now. I can't tell you how proud and happy I am that
00:04:38 you are going to give me a child of my very own. It hardly seems possible that
00:04:43 such a wonderful thing can happen to me. What my Nan and Pop had shows me that it
00:04:48 does exist and can exist. You can have that eternal love and true love forever.
00:04:57 It's incredibly important that my guy has a kind heart and is a genuine human.
00:05:08 Someone that knows what he wants, is confident within himself and is always
00:05:15 wanting more.
00:05:18 I'm looking for the fairy tale and I deserve the happily ever after. I'm not
00:05:25 going to settle for any less. I think with Melinda, she's met her match with
00:05:33 Leighton. She typically, by her own admission, intimidates guys. I think he is
00:05:39 certainly an equal. They are both very successful entrepreneurs. What our
00:05:43 research shows is they are very well matched. They're both that very driven,
00:05:48 focused, controlling at times personality. What used to be called a type A
00:05:53 personality. When you put two type A's together, you know, you can have a
00:05:57 tussle. But of course that can also lead to a very powerful match. I think we have
00:06:02 a potential power couple on our hands here, providing the two of them can sort
00:06:07 out their communication and giving the other space to actually have their voice
00:06:11 as well.
00:06:14 With Melinda and Leighton matched and about to be married, there is one more
00:06:19 pair to enter this year's experiment.
00:06:23 I've been on this dating app and it's been going really good. We exchange
00:06:29 numbers and then the first thing I get was a dick pic. Can you believe it?
00:06:36 Perhaps that's the only thing about him that will impress you. I'm no regular
00:06:42 working mum. I am sassy, I am loud. That's crazy, why would they send that? When
00:06:48 people say they have 10,000 words a day, I think I have 20,000 words a day. What
00:06:52 are you gonna do, go through it and be like, yes please, no thank you? Sexually,
00:06:56 being 41, I reckon I'm more fit and more fabulous than when I was in my 20s. I am
00:07:02 the sexy mama bear. But unfortunately I thought that would be enough for someone
00:07:07 but clearly it's not. I feel like now dating at 40 that men see me as used
00:07:13 goods, especially with online dating. Guys have got a lot of opportunities just to
00:07:19 sleep with a lot of younger girls, like it's just, it's not fair. I am just
00:07:25 exhausted to keep putting myself out there and getting the same return. I have
00:07:30 no trouble meeting people, it's just meeting the right one. In 10 years only
00:07:34 two men have met my son and he said to me, no kidding, word for word the other
00:07:40 day, now mum, why can't you just go get one of those things? I said, one of what?
00:07:45 And he said, a boyfriend. I love him. You did? I think that he really is worried that um, when he's not
00:07:55 with me, that I'm just at home alone. So how did you take it when he said this?
00:07:59 Well a little bit of heartbreak because I was like, I have been single for so long
00:08:04 now, I don't want to be alone, I don't want to miss the boat, you know, I feel
00:08:10 like I'm ready more than ever. We hope that meets the love of your life, a man
00:08:17 of your dreams. My friends are amazing, we do everything together but I want my own
00:08:25 life. I want to be with someone, someone that's sure about themself, someone
00:08:31 that's confident, kind, vulnerable and ready to get back out there. It's super
00:08:38 important to me that he's a family guy, a role model for my son. Us together, it could be quite amazing.
00:08:44 Being a dad has really shaped who I am, it's really taught me to be
00:08:52 selfless, it's taught me to set a really great example for my kids and it's also
00:08:57 taught me so much about life because you get to experience it for the first time
00:09:02 again. But there's definitely good and bad days when you're a single parent
00:09:06 because there's no cavalry behind to help you out. It was pretty soul-crushing
00:09:13 when my marriage ended and I do think that there is a sense of identity that
00:09:18 is lost in a separation because who you were previously for so long, that
00:09:26 person doesn't exist anymore, which can be tough. I've discovered a lot about
00:09:32 myself in this last couple of years. I feel like I've got a lot of resilience, I
00:09:37 love romantic comedies. So do I. What's your favourite? Look, I'm gonna go
00:09:43 Notting Hill. Okay, yeah, we can be good friends. So does that mean you're romantic at heart?
00:09:49 Yeah, I am, yeah, I am very romantic, yeah. Thank you, I appreciate that, thanks very much.
00:09:55 Last time I was single was 2008. I think Nokia phones were still kind of a
00:10:01 thing. It was a very different world. You know, everyone logs into an app now to
00:10:06 meet someone. I have experienced breadcrumbing, been love-bombed, I have
00:10:11 been catfished and I've also experienced a very high stage five clinger as well.
00:10:17 So I need this experiment because I want to meet someone and fall in love again.
00:10:23 I need the experts help finding a match because people see you and then they see
00:10:28 the kids, they don't understand that there's still someone that wants to be
00:10:32 loved, that doesn't want to be lonely, that wants to wake up and mean something
00:10:37 to someone. They kind of think that automatically you're gonna say, okay, well
00:10:41 let's buy a Tarago. I'd probably describe my perfect partner as someone who knows
00:10:47 what they want but also has a softer side and I certainly would like to meet
00:10:52 someone with kids. I absolutely believe in happily ever after. Yeah, I still want
00:10:59 that for myself. Melissa, as we all know, leads with her
00:11:05 sensuality. She's so in touch with her sexuality and yet she is so forceful
00:11:11 with it. She ends up attracting all these alpha males. Here we have beautiful Josh
00:11:15 who comes to the table with this sensitivity, stability, everything that
00:11:20 she needs, perhaps not what she wants. So the challenge for Melissa here is to
00:11:25 become and then remain open to a different type of man. Josh needs a
00:11:30 little bit of a spark and she needs some of the toning down so hopefully
00:11:34 if they're able to blend their personalities they could bring some
00:11:37 really beautiful balance to the equation.
00:11:43 [Music]
00:11:46 It's the morning of our final two weddings and as Melinda tries to put all
00:11:56 thoughts of business to one side, pondering a meeting of a different kind,
00:12:01 Melissa is receiving a visit from her twin sister Samantha.
00:12:07 [Music]
00:12:12 I'm so excited. I feel like I'm about to burst. I just want to get there.
00:12:17 I'm like if I could just drive myself there this morning I would.
00:12:22 Today's obviously your wedding and I just wanted to make it really special for you.
00:12:26 So something blue, something new, something old. I thought maybe this would be perfect.
00:12:33 [Music]
00:12:39 And this is a little touch of something blue. I just want to meet my husband now. She fits.
00:12:43 Whoever he is, let me tell you, sit down and buckle up.
00:12:49 Because he's in for a big ride. Oh I like this.
00:12:56 Well this is a little bit of fun. You know me too well. My dream boat of a guy is Thor.
00:13:03 Oh he's big.
00:13:06 Can't be putting that on. I'm only little so I feel like you know Thor he can just
00:13:11 pick you up and you can you'll go anywhere where Thor goes.
00:13:14 What happens if he's not like me? What happens if he scares me?
00:13:19 Oh the guy's gonna run for the hill.
00:13:22 [Music]
00:13:27 Everyone that does know me knows that I'm into Disney.
00:13:31 I haven't really grown up since about 12 which is probably a little bit sad to
00:13:35 say if you're a 40 year old. 41 next month.
00:13:39 My kids are named after Disney characters Flynn and Elsa.
00:13:45 Probably not seen as the manliest guy. I am a guy who normally plays it safe.
00:13:50 I've played it safe my entire life so this is absolutely the riskiest thing
00:13:54 that I've ever signed up for. Hey buddy. Good to see you mate.
00:14:00 It's a big day. Yeah big day today. Second time's the charm.
00:14:03 Yeah thanks for that. Yes I think the thing that hasn't worked for me in a
00:14:07 relationship is when you don't invest the time to make it
00:14:11 grow. Cheers. Cheers mate. So I'm looking for a
00:14:15 slow build.
00:14:18 So what are your thoughts on the bride?
00:14:23 I'm hopeful that when I see her that there's going to be an instant
00:14:28 connection. Are you feeling like Thor is going to be
00:14:30 waiting at the end of the aisle? Thor best be there with his big hammer.
00:14:37 Clickety clack. Mate click clack front and back.
00:14:40 Safety first. I like a manly man. I hope Thor is waiting there for you.
00:14:46 Me too.
00:14:49 As Melissa gets ready for her big day ahead,
00:15:01 experiences from the past have triggered some last minute doubts.
00:15:07 The men that I've dated in the past haven't been able to accept me being so
00:15:14 open and honest about being sexual. And I get that. That can be a lot for a
00:15:20 lot of people. But you know what? I like me.
00:15:25 I like my energy. I like how bright and bubbly
00:15:30 and happy I am. I wouldn't want to change it.
00:15:34 I'm ready to fall in love and I want this more than anything.
00:15:42 [Music]
00:15:54 Oh my gosh. It's beautiful. Look at the flowers. She's gonna love that
00:16:01 chandelier. I know that is so nice. Oh I'm nervous. Are you nervous?
00:16:08 I'm nervous.
00:16:11 It's funny how all the people on that side have the information we need and we
00:16:15 have all the information they need. Oh we all know it. Yeah we know it.
00:16:18 I'm marrying a stranger today. I mean, woo! Isn't that crazy? But um,
00:16:26 we got this. I got this. I'm about to meet
00:16:29 this guy that I've been dreaming about for so long.
00:16:33 I never thought that I'd be here. I just thought they were gonna say no we
00:16:37 we found a really hot guy in Newcastle and you move on with your life.
00:16:40 But now that I am it's seen as a great opportunity to go on a journey with a
00:16:44 with a partner hopefully for the rest of my life. The breakdown of my previous
00:16:48 relationship was pretty hard and I can't go through that again.
00:16:54 It has been difficult to really kind of find my identity again
00:16:58 and I still think I am trying to understand who I am.
00:17:02 So rejection does scare me. Oh there's a car.
00:17:06 Oh my gosh. We're gonna see the man Mel's gonna marry
00:17:11 before she does. Yeah. This is so exciting. I can be an introvert.
00:17:18 I'm pretty shy around other people. I don't like people to
00:17:22 judge me. Here he goes. Oh my gosh is he coming?
00:17:25 Is he coming? I'm not always perfect but I know that I have a lot of love to give.
00:17:31 I just want someone with an open heart. Someone who can accept
00:17:35 everything that I am.
00:17:38 Hey everyone I've never met. Hi. Hi.
00:17:45 Hi friends. Hi family.
00:17:48 Now I want to know more about him. I like where he's from.
00:18:04 What's his name to start?
00:18:07 I wish you would turn around. Do you think you might be a bit shy?
00:18:12 I think you might be shy. I think you've been a little bit shy.
00:18:18 If it was Mel standing here now she'd be turning around talking to everyone.
00:18:25 Do you give us direction on holding hands or
00:18:28 we hold hands or is it a vibe? Okay you'll tell me when you're ready.
00:18:34 Sure. Okay. He looks very level-headed and
00:18:38 sensible. I reckon he's a real estate agent. I reckon he works in finance
00:18:43 or banking. I think the last time I stood this still was
00:18:48 for school assembly back in the 90s. I think he's a bit more
00:18:52 negative. Like a bit too un-knife-hooking. Mel's
00:18:56 gonna be the wild one for sure. Yeah 100%.
00:19:00 I just love all of the shoes.
00:19:04 I'm freaking out now. I didn't think I would be.
00:19:08 I'm normally you know calm as a cucumber but um
00:19:12 nerves have got me good. Here comes the car. Here comes the car.
00:19:16 Oh my gosh. What do you hope is standing at the end of the aisle
00:19:22 for you today? I thought...
00:19:26 Um do you have a copy of the wedding vows or something?
00:19:33 I like a manly man. Very masculine. Hair on his chest. A big
00:19:44 burly man to throw me around with a personality that makes him soar
00:19:51 above everyone. That's hugely important to me.
00:19:57 Hi.
00:20:19 Hi. I'm Josh. I'm Mel. Hey nice to meet you.
00:20:23 Lovely to meet you. Lovely to meet you. Do we hold hands or? Yes we do.
00:20:29 You okay? Yeah I'm good. I'm good.
00:20:43 Are you nervous? Yeah yeah.
00:20:47 I can't tell if it's your hair shaking or mine. No it's yours.
00:20:53 It's I'm fine. As soon as I looked him in the eyes
00:20:58 all my reservations went out the window. I could tell instantly that he was kind.
00:21:05 This is Josh.
00:21:10 His hair's great. He smells nice. He's taller than me. There's this handsome
00:21:17 amazing man standing there who is everything that I've wanted.
00:21:24 I think the experts have hit the jackpot here. Like seriously
00:21:28 that is my Thorin gladiator in one. Like he turned around and I was like wow.
00:21:34 I was blown away. Good morning. On behalf of the bride and
00:21:39 groom I would like to welcome you here today.
00:21:42 We're all here to witness for the first time the commitment of Melissa
00:21:47 and Josh. Melissa and Josh will now share their personal vows.
00:21:54 Usually when doing your vows you talk about the long story and history you
00:21:58 have together, the moment you met, the moments that led
00:22:02 you to knowing you wanted to commit to each other
00:22:04 for the rest of your life and the feelings of never wanting to let go
00:22:08 because you knew you had something special and you didn't want to ever lose
00:22:11 that. But we don't have that yet.
00:22:16 Our love story is just beginning. So instead I'll tell you about myself and
00:22:20 why I'm standing here committing to you today.
00:22:23 Look I think he looks like the boy next door
00:22:27 but I think he could be a freak in the sheets too.
00:22:31 I've had an interesting journey so far to get here. Like a lot of people I've
00:22:35 experienced my share of heartbreak. Well I've already sized him up from his
00:22:38 shoe size and what they say is big feet means
00:22:45 one is hoping. Years from now when we look back we can refer to these moments.
00:22:51 This was when we met. I hope Josh has a big hammer.
00:22:57 We then had a wedding. We went on a honeymoon to Disneyland.
00:23:04 Big. I pledge to you I will patiently wait whilst you decide what you want to
00:23:09 eat. I'll also let you cuddle me when we watch
00:23:12 scary movies. Not because you're scared but because I will be.
00:23:17 I am a boy standing in front of a girl asking her to eventually love him.
00:23:30 And I say yes.
00:23:32 Yay. Poor guy. Poor guy. Oh yep back again.
00:23:42 Are you ready for this? Yes.
00:23:45 Hi Josh. My soon-to-be husband. I stand before you more ready than ever
00:23:54 to find my big love. I'm feeling pretty happy about being married to Mel.
00:23:59 I think that there's a really good connection that we can build something
00:24:01 on. I promise to be honest with you always
00:24:04 and most importantly when I say I give you my all
00:24:07 I truly mean it. The way that you can connect with someone and you know
00:24:11 straight away that you you have something with them. Let's be that
00:24:14 unforgettable couple whose beautiful love story is about to
00:24:17 begin. Today I'm hopeful that this is our first day of forever.
00:24:27 Gentlemen. Everything about her was um yeah it was exactly what I was hoping
00:24:32 for. Do you Melissa promise to spend your
00:24:35 life with Josh meeting each new joy and sorrow together? I do. Do you Josh
00:24:41 promise to spend your life with Melissa with a spirit of curiosity and patience?
00:24:46 I do. With this ring. With this ring. I take you as my wife. I take you as my
00:24:51 wife. I take you as my husband. I am giving you
00:24:54 my promise. I'm giving you my promise. That I will keep my heart open.
00:24:57 That I will keep my heart open. To you. To you. Today.
00:25:02 Tomorrow. And always. And always. Melissa and Josh you may seal your
00:25:08 vows with a kiss to your beautiful bride Melissa.
00:25:12 Ladies and gentlemen it is my privilege to present to you
00:25:22 for the first time a husband and wife Josh and Melissa.
00:25:28 And he's everything that I thought that he would be.
00:25:35 He's perfect. I don't know how much more the experts could have
00:25:39 ticked the boxes.
00:25:42 Thor. Who's Thor? He's amazing. We can mingle. I'm gonna go say hi.
00:25:50 Is that who you expect of your husband?
00:25:54 No not really. Andre is that who you expected? No. Yeah.
00:26:02 He's not really the alpha male is he? She's gonna be the bubbly bright person
00:26:06 she is and he's not gonna be able to keep up with her.
00:26:10 He might run away. Oh the poor thing. I'm gonna grab him later and have a chat with
00:26:13 him. She'll eat him alive.
00:26:18 In Sydney business entrepreneur Melinda is preparing for her wedding in a
00:26:28 confident state of mind. It's very rare that a guy is like ew
00:26:32 you're gross. And even the guys that say oh I don't like a blonde I usually like
00:26:37 a brunette. They're lying.
00:26:41 So to get ready for today it's been a big ordeal.
00:26:45 Lots of beauty treatments. I'm not meant to be getting sweaty. I had
00:26:49 Botox done in my underarms. Just preparing everything life-wise and
00:26:55 business-wise to to get here. It was a lot. I don't know
00:26:59 how I'm sweating and it's cold in here. I've never stepped away from my
00:27:04 businesses before. So it's hard.
00:27:13 It's all starting to hit me now.
00:27:16 I just, I don't know. Businesses for me are like it's not about
00:27:24 the money that's not why I do them. They're just I guess my whole purpose
00:27:32 of life.
00:27:35 So getting married it's huge for me. This has to be worth it.
00:27:40 I can't be with someone that is intimidated by what I'm doing
00:27:45 and I want a guy who is my equal.
00:27:50 I would love to be that power couple, a power duo.
00:27:58 I want to build an empire together.
00:28:04 Work never really stops for me. It's hugely important to have a partner.
00:28:10 It's supportive of my career and the time that I spend working.
00:28:15 I want somebody who understands me and that's really hard to find.
00:28:21 Are you making a work girl on your way to your wedding?
00:28:27 Very really really small one. Really small one.
00:28:31 And now we're done.
00:28:35 Didn't even happen. Done. Good.
00:28:40 And with Leighton's work phone finally on silent,
00:28:45 the wedding of the year awaits.
00:28:49 Aboard a luxury super yacht on one of the world's most iconic harbours.
00:29:02 The perfect wedding venue for a potential power couple.
00:29:08 Awesome view.
00:29:29 Pretty beautiful isn't it?
00:29:32 It's really happening now. Really happening now.
00:29:53 I had a vision board you know when I was like 13, 14 in my room of like what I
00:29:56 wanted in my life. So big house, nice car, two children,
00:29:59 beautiful wife. I'm absolutely ready to share my life with
00:30:03 someone. To support their dreams and aspirations just like hopefully they'll
00:30:07 support mine.
00:30:09 I want something real.
00:30:13 I really want to find that person that I can finally give my heart to.
00:30:19 Somebody that I can build a family with.
00:30:24 Someone that I can build the next chapter of my life with.
00:30:28 How are you bud? Not too bad? Hi how are you all? Nice to see you all.
00:30:40 Finally.
00:30:43 How are you? How are you?
00:30:51 How's everyone going on the boat? Hi how are you? Are you the mum? Yes I am.
00:30:55 What's your name? Lorraine. Lorraine Layton, nice to meet you.
00:30:58 Oh hi Layton, nice to meet you. You look beautiful. Oh thank you. You don't look too bad
00:31:01 yourself. Yeah, trying to score some points.
00:31:05 Oh good points.
00:31:08 Look at him.
00:31:14 Is everyone's type? Yeah.
00:31:18 I'm excited to see who this lucky man is. I'm a big believer in manifesting and I
00:31:29 believe that the experts have found the right person.
00:31:33 I actually feel like this is it. I'm gonna meet the one.
00:31:44 I'm looking for something that is full of passion
00:31:49 from day one to the end.
00:31:52 They say that when you find a soulmate you just know. So I feel like I'm just
00:31:59 gonna know instantly.
00:32:02 He better be damn good.
00:32:06 [Music]
00:32:12 Hi, how are you? I'm Layton. Nice to meet you.
00:32:20 You look fantastic.
00:32:25 [Music]
00:32:48 First impressions, he may be punching just a little.
00:32:53 I would swipe left. I'm a nine and a half
00:32:59 on a bad day.
00:33:02 My usual type is more like tall, dark, handsome, European,
00:33:09 chiseled, you know some stubble facial hair.
00:33:13 Um yeah.
00:33:18 Friends and family.
00:33:21 Today our couple have decided to write their own vows which they will now share
00:33:26 with each other. Melinda. Okay.
00:33:32 In a man I'm looking for someone who is confident, ambitious and kind-hearted.
00:33:37 Someone respectful with good morals and good values.
00:33:41 I work hard for what I want and I don't stop until I get it.
00:33:46 I take pride in my appearance, make my health a priority and I'm always
00:33:49 working on growing and up-leveling.
00:33:53 Together I want us to be an unstoppable power couple.
00:33:56 One that challenges each other and builds an empire together.
00:34:00 To sum me up I would say that you have found yourself a unicorn.
00:34:04 Yes.
00:34:08 That was really nice. I thought it was fantastic. Oh good.
00:34:15 I think that um she's confident, she's a confident girl.
00:34:18 Very attractive, gorgeous and yeah it was super funny but I've really got to get
00:34:22 to know her a little bit more. I think she might like me yeah.
00:34:26 Melinda. I've always been one to take the road less traveled in life
00:34:32 but they say all roads lead to the same end so it's not so much the road you
00:34:35 take it's the how you take it and today that's led me here to you.
00:34:39 Along the way I've been fortunate enough to grow into a man that I could be proud
00:34:42 of standing here before you. Someone who's passionate, dedicated and
00:34:46 the type of person that will always challenge you to be your best self.
00:34:51 My friends and family will tell you that my journey up until this point has been
00:34:53 anything but normal. We've got a lot to catch up on but my
00:34:56 story involves a wildly creative childhood,
00:34:59 crazy ideas, a money tree, a vision. Wait he grew up with a money tree?
00:35:05 And that to me is just like it's a it's a red flag.
00:35:10 I don't want him to just being given everything. I'll give you my hand to hold
00:35:15 tightly and make you feel safe. That's not going to work with me
00:35:18 absolutely not. It's no longer me, it's no longer you, it's us. Whatever
00:35:23 this experience throws at us we'll face together.
00:35:26 Very interesting. Interesting? Yeah. Yeah.
00:35:32 Mummy cheery. The words he uses they're so like perfected, very put
00:35:38 together and very charming. I feel like he's quite an ego person.
00:35:43 Oh my god. Why am I crying? Are you guys crying?
00:35:49 No, we're not crying. What you're crying at his speech and not mine? Thank you Lorraine.
00:35:54 You're already becoming friends.
00:35:57 Referencing mum by her first name. I definitely think there's some like
00:36:01 strategy to um latent smoothness.
00:36:07 I think it's a facade. It is now with much pleasure that I
00:36:12 pronounce Melinda and Leighton as man and wife.
00:36:18 You may now share your first kiss.
00:36:22 I forgot about this part.
00:36:36 The kiss was definitely not sexy. It was like
00:36:39 cold and sloppy. I wouldn't like put my hand up for another kiss
00:36:45 anytime soon. The newly married couple Melinda and
00:36:49 Leighton.
00:36:52 I run and operate multiple businesses and I do have high expectations.
00:36:57 From what I've seen so far this is not worth my time.
00:37:01 I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried.
00:37:05 That's good there. You're great there.
00:37:17 So here we are. Yeah here we are. It's good to see you again.
00:37:22 Guys just come in nice and close together. I'm keeping this nice and sort
00:37:24 of cuddly romantic. How much do you want me to get in his
00:37:27 face? Well you are my wife. Give you permission.
00:37:31 I am a hundred percent sexually attracted to Josh.
00:37:35 Like tick. Josh put your hands a little coming a little bit tighter. You can grab
00:37:38 it a little bit tighter. Yeah. Yeah she's your wife. I like it.
00:37:42 That's great. It's good. I want to grab Josh in lots of places. He'll
00:37:48 be like whoa. People like that it's really nice.
00:37:52 Translates beautifully to my camera. Oh my god I nearly went. Yeah I know.
00:37:58 It's fine. The chemistry is like. Yeah when you hear me do the what now come
00:38:04 on. No. Stop that kind of photo shoot. Can the
00:38:07 cameras go away? Can the photographers go away please? Because you know
00:38:10 let's get down to business. Yeah and now looking back at each other for me
00:38:15 and maybe a little bit of a bridal kiss.
00:38:18 That's nice yeah.
00:38:25 [Music]
00:38:32 That's nice guys. [Music]
00:38:52 Okay that's great thank you.
00:38:56 Just hoping I don't get an erection.
00:39:03 And then just come in for one more kiss there.
00:39:09 Kiss on the lips there.
00:39:19 Like when we did the kiss it was like he was he was trying to like stick some
00:39:25 tongue in there.
00:39:28 I was like not there yet. Like when he's like caressing my like cheek it was
00:39:35 meant to be the cheek but he was like up there near the ear.
00:39:39 Um so that was weirdish. Need one more kiss shot.
00:39:47 Most awkward thing I've ever done in my life and do not want to do it
00:39:52 again. Will not do it again. You definitely got
00:39:55 the shot. I heard that one it was the shot. That was it.
00:39:58 Yeah I think there's a lot of work to be done.
00:40:03 Cheers guys.
00:40:15 Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome the bride and groom.
00:40:20 Josh is a true gentleman. He makes me feel so comfortable. Probably a lot shy
00:40:41 than me but I really believe my energy can bring
00:40:44 out a really fun side of Josh. How do you feel?
00:40:50 Uh I feel I feel really excited. Really lucky.
00:40:54 Yeah like I think that we have a really good connection. That's all that you
00:40:57 really want right? Like you want to connect with someone because then you've
00:40:59 got a really good base level where you can then continue to build off that. And
00:41:02 I think I think that we've got that. You've got that. Yeah. Good. Yeah. We've got this.
00:41:07 All right. Yeah we have. Yeah. Yeah. I'm enjoying getting to know Mel. I
00:41:12 think that we have a lot in common and I'm excited to explore that more.
00:41:16 Just give me a hot dog and a beer and I'm sweet. Did you drink beer? Yeah. Okay you
00:41:20 never said that. This is amazing. We've only spent you know a bit of time
00:41:25 with one another and I love the way that we've instantly
00:41:28 connected. Feels like it's more than a physical connection.
00:41:34 It's good they're getting to know each other. I know.
00:41:37 I heard that you are into gaming. I used to work in video games.
00:41:44 My son is huge into gaming. So he's gonna love you. Well I brought my Switch.
00:41:48 My Nintendo Switch for the trip. What's your yay name? Not really.
00:41:56 Not that I'm not a fan. I've just done it. What do you play?
00:42:01 Uh like well like Mario and just all those kind of games. They're like pretty
00:42:06 cool. He seems like a really nice guy. Yeah
00:42:10 anyway. But
00:42:14 yeah I'm worried.
00:42:17 Mel's so much fun. But I'm worried he's a bit
00:42:22 boring. Like a wet wife. She normally goes for the very
00:42:26 charismatic, ladies man, strong. The talker. The one who would you know
00:42:32 turn up to the table with all us girls and kind of grab our attention.
00:42:36 If we were at a bar and we met him, would he be the one Mel would be talking to?
00:42:40 No. Mel is a really vibrant fun person and I haven't seen that from him.
00:42:47 Did you really pick eggs? Uh no my Nintendo Switch. Yeah I did.
00:42:51 Is he gonna be boring? Is he gonna be enough fun for her?
00:42:55 Mel won't be happy with that. I know. But she'll put up.
00:42:58 I don't know. Not for long. Do I think of a laugh long term?
00:43:04 No I don't.
00:43:08 How amazing. When they go home and we're not all here having fun at the wedding,
00:43:16 what is gonna happen then?
00:43:19 While Melissa's friends are questioning her match with Josh,
00:43:23 the potential for a power couple seems to have Melinda and Leighton's friends
00:43:28 already convinced. A toast to the bride and groom. Leighton and Melinda.
00:43:34 Like do we all have a good feeling about this? Oh this is 100%.
00:43:39 Definitely. I think so. First impressions of Leighton. He seems
00:43:44 really sweet and genuine. Yeah I feel like Leighton has charisma.
00:43:51 I think there's potential. Yeah.
00:43:55 I think Melinda is super attractive but you know it's very much
00:44:08 um about personality and emotional connection for me.
00:44:12 So I'm really looking forward to learning more about her. This is awesome
00:44:16 little spot. I like the intimate, like the small intimate.
00:44:21 Yeah. Glad you're happy.
00:44:26 Yeah cool.
00:44:34 [Music]
00:44:50 I don't think you can claim you know success if you were just born into it.
00:44:58 I don't think you're looking for it. No.
00:45:04 Thank you.
00:45:11 Which one would you like? Do you want the steak or do you want
00:45:15 do you want to be happy with the steak? Um yes. Are you sure? Yeah. Is that chicken?
00:45:20 Chicken. I can't eat chicken. Oh you're good because it looks really good but I was
00:45:22 hoping you didn't say that. So why offer them? It's genuine. Being
00:45:26 genuine. But is that gentleman? Or is that like let me put on a facade?
00:45:31 There's no facade. There's no facade. I would give it to you.
00:45:34 There's no facade.
00:45:37 He doesn't know me so why would he just straight off the bat want to be a
00:45:40 gentleman to me? It is a turn off when someone is trying
00:45:44 to like please you. I just don't trust it.
00:45:51 I get like a little sad. I get like arrogant.
00:45:56 This will never work. This is 100% no.
00:46:10 No.
00:46:12 Oh my god.
00:46:14 In the stunning surrounds of Sydney Harbour, Melinda is struggling to see
00:46:28 the positives in her husband Layton. I can't help but be picky. Yeah. Yeah.
00:46:34 And right now like the vibe I'm getting is just not...
00:46:37 it just feels off. Feels off to me. We feel like he's a match personality
00:46:43 wise to you. Like we're pretty confident. Like
00:46:46 he's handsome. He's hip. Do you think he's handsome?
00:46:49 I don't know. And with their marriage seemingly all at sea,
00:46:53 Layton is shifting his attention towards his new wife's family and friends.
00:46:58 Yeah. Good to see you. How are we all my mate? We're hearing all about you.
00:47:01 Dean, Layton. Pleasure to meet you mate. Melinda maybe a little bit guarded.
00:47:05 I can definitely sense that. Ryan. Ryan. Layton. Pleasure to meet you.
00:47:09 I'm always unsure of things. I don't have full control of the situation, you know.
00:47:12 And so nice to meet you. Letting her have some
00:47:14 space. That could be the best thing. I can talk to her friends and her family.
00:47:18 Learn more about her. So me and my sister are your wife, Ria and I.
00:47:24 I love it. So we're actually in business together. Oh awesome.
00:47:28 Yeah so like that's kind of like... Layton's definitely trying to creep in
00:47:32 and like recruit his little army of people.
00:47:35 Win the mum's heart and you're all done. My brother. My friends. My mum.
00:47:40 She likes him. Mum's easy to please.
00:47:46 He's got strategy and he's got tactics. He knows what he's doing.
00:47:50 Yep. Well played. On the way. I love that. I love it.
00:47:53 Hey babe. You look nice mummy. Thank you darling.
00:47:57 Just can't swoop on in, steal the room, get everyone to love you and then just think
00:48:03 that's Mrs Mills now. Oh hello.
00:48:08 I feel a little try hard for me. Everyone seems to just really love him.
00:48:14 Yeah. Just really love him. But I haven't been able to see that.
00:48:19 Yeah but just like...
00:48:24 Wanting... I don't know. I'm just wanting the connection and it's not there.
00:48:28 Usually if I felt this way, I would abort mission. I would not go on another date.
00:48:36 I wouldn't. So this is really going to be hard for me.
00:48:39 I think you're looking at it from a certain side.
00:48:42 Holy hell this whole room is like team Layton. Everyone loves this guy.
00:48:52 Can't wait for that one. What have I missed?
00:48:55 As Melinda struggles to get on board, the self-confessed mama bear of the experiment,
00:49:04 Melissa... I'm married.
00:49:05 ...is all in with her marriage to Josh. I think the experts have hit the jackpot here.
00:49:12 Like seriously, he's amazing. However in contrast to Melinda,
00:49:18 her friends may need convincing. So what do you think?
00:49:25 This is what we hear tonight. I want to turn...
00:49:31 I think he's divine. Yeah he...
00:49:34 I think he's divine. He seems very nice.
00:49:35 Very nice. Super kind. Yeah. He does. He seems very nice.
00:49:48 Yeah. Kind.
00:49:50 He seems very calm and sensible. Are we being reserved right now?
00:49:55 What are you guys doing right now? I'm worried he's not enough for you.
00:50:00 Wow. Really?
00:50:08 I think I need to see a bit more spark from him.
00:50:12 Because he's more reserved initially than you are.
00:50:16 I just think you will eat him alive, to be honest.
00:50:18 He's not... like, not enough for you. You're the fun, vibrant person and I'm worried he's
00:50:25 just not going to match your energy. He's too boring. She always sees the good in everything.
00:50:33 Everything's a positive. I'm not sure if she's looking at him yet or if it's just the whole
00:50:39 excitement of the day. His personality just isn't making me think it's going to be long term.
00:50:45 Do you have any reservations? Are you worried about anything?
00:50:51 Do you know what? You girls mean the world to me. And if you don't like him, I'll be
00:51:00 totally heartbroken. Because I have picked so wrong the past 10, 20 years. And I'm actually
00:51:10 exhausted of making the wrong decisions all the time. I've read the signs wrong for so many years.
00:51:17 And I'm tired. I'm ready.
00:51:22 It just, it's like a lot. I want this more than anything. And for my besties not to be on board,
00:51:38 it kills me. I want to meet my plus one. I want to go to barbecues with my husband.
00:51:44 He's got me as much as I have him. I just, I haven't met anyone like that.
00:51:50 I don't know if they can see what I'm seeing. But he's a great guy. That's just what I ordered,
00:51:58 right? A kind, nice guy that was a dad. He brings amazing energy to me. He fills my cup. And,
00:52:09 you know, it concerns me that maybe if they can see a red flag in him, and I don't see it,
00:52:17 is there something I'm missing? Have I got it wrong? Like, am I wrong again?
00:52:24 On Sydney Harbour... Oh no, it's not speech time.
00:52:34 Melinda is still struggling with the red flags she's seeing in her new husband,
00:52:39 Leighton. Okay.
00:52:41 Which started when he mentioned a money tree in his vows.
00:52:44 Melinda and I would like to thank you all for joining us here to celebrate this special day
00:52:50 with us. And I'm glad I get to share this experience with you all. I want to reassure
00:52:56 you I'm here for the right reasons. Please know that I'll do everything I can to make sure Melinda
00:53:01 gets through this experiment safely. Mum, I still remember when you made me bury that coin.
00:53:08 For those that don't know, I had to bury a coin in the backyard.
00:53:18 And water it every day.
00:53:20 We're all crying.
00:53:29 One day I ran out to the garden and I couldn't believe my eyes when I
00:53:33 had realised I'd grown my very own money tree.
00:53:35 With coins sprouting all over the branches.
00:53:44 With coins sprouting all over the branches.
00:53:46 Spoiler alert, it's amazing what you can do with some sticks and a strong adhesive.
00:53:51 You taught me two valuable lessons that day. The first is that apparently money does grow on trees.
00:54:00 I'm feeling a mix of emotions now.
00:54:02 And the second is the power of creativity.
00:54:06 I'm just questioning if I judged him too soon, potentially.
00:54:14 To put my heart in the hands of the experts, it's scary.
00:54:21 But I've got to trust the process and see the potential of me and Leighton.
00:54:26 Is this a good exercise, ladies?
00:54:29 No, I don't even know how to dance.
00:54:31 Don't you? Just follow me.
00:54:32 I'm following you, guys.
00:54:35 I feel really stupid.
00:54:36 I'm struggling to find a connection today.
00:54:46 I don't know this guy.
00:54:51 What I do know is that if I want that connection and relationship that my Nan and Pop had,
00:54:58 I need to start opening up.
00:55:04 I'm here to, you know, give it a really good go.
00:55:08 I want to give this a chance.
00:55:11 Let's like go around and then let's like go back.
00:55:15 And then in.
00:55:17 I'm going to focus on the positive.
00:55:22 While Melinda and Leighton begin to find their feet.
00:55:29 For Mel, he's not enough.
00:55:33 Melissa's friend, Olivia, is still voicing her doubts about Josh.
00:55:39 People are like, he was so amazing.
00:55:41 I'm like, he's f***ing boring.
00:55:43 I'm worried he's not enough for Mel.
00:55:46 And having been shocked by her friend's opinions,
00:55:50 Melissa is seeking the advice of her twin sister, Samantha.
00:55:55 Hey.
00:55:55 Hi.
00:55:56 Oh my God, how are you?
00:55:59 Tonight, you know, it threw me a little.
00:56:01 Yeah, you know, Liv and Kyla were saying that maybe I don't think he's enough for you.
00:56:07 Like, am I not reading the red flags?
00:56:11 Is there any red flags that you see?
00:56:12 No, and I honestly, I see no red flags.
00:56:15 My friends threw us in the bus a little bit.
00:56:21 And you know, I was there.
00:56:22 He's amazing.
00:56:24 I can't see anything that is red flag.
00:56:27 I genuinely feel he is the person.
00:56:31 He has my heart, Sammy.
00:56:32 Like, I just, I want this love story to evolve.
00:56:38 I can now set you free.
00:56:40 He's your one.
00:56:42 He's the one.
00:56:44 Let's go.
00:56:46 Let's go.
00:56:46 A few of my girlfriends weren't sure about Josh.
00:56:50 And that's heart-wrenching to me.
00:56:54 But I feel like they're remembering old Mel, the 20s, 30s Mel.
00:56:59 This is Mel at 40.
00:57:02 And I really feel that Josh is a perfect fit for me.
00:57:04 Here we are.
00:57:06 Here we are.
00:57:07 Feeling okay?
00:57:08 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:57:09 You look still dapper.
00:57:10 Thank you.
00:57:12 You still look really beautiful.
00:57:14 Oh.
00:57:14 Yeah.
00:57:16 They're single.
00:57:18 So maybe they're going to miss their single girlfriend.
00:57:21 I have done that role for so many years.
00:57:25 And I want to tap out.
00:57:29 I got a really warm feeling when I looked at you.
00:57:31 Oh, you turned around and took all my fears away.
00:57:35 I can't worry about what they think anymore.
00:57:38 And I can't worry about what adventure they're on.
00:57:41 But for me, I'm tapping out.
00:57:43 I'm leaving that life behind.
00:57:45 This is about me now.
00:57:47 Yeah, I'll show them.
00:57:50 [Music]
00:57:56 I say, let's go home.
00:57:58 Yeah.
00:57:59 Let's make a night of it.
00:58:01 As our newlyweds approach their first night together as husband and wife,
00:58:06 our brides have very different views on the matter,
00:58:10 having previously locked horns over intimacy at the hen's night.
00:58:14 I'm going to f*** my husband on the first night.
00:58:16 A thousand percent.
00:58:18 Are you?
00:58:18 I'm not.
00:58:19 Probably not.
00:58:20 Wow.
00:58:21 Are you serious?
00:58:22 Unless it was like amazing chemistry.
00:58:26 You can make four locks up.
00:58:28 No, I don't think so.
00:58:29 Well, maybe just take your walls down a little bit, honey.
00:58:31 You might have a little bit of fun along the way.
00:58:33 And now that the night is here, Melinda is staying true to her word.
00:58:41 I will share my bed with you if you like, yeah.
00:58:48 It feels weird because I don't know my husband.
00:58:51 Like I'm in here with a stranger.
00:58:54 No creepy like, oh, let me hug my wife kind of thing.
00:58:58 You'll be fine.
00:58:59 Trust me, you'll be fine.
00:59:00 Okay, good.
00:59:01 I'm really tired.
00:59:01 Definitely no like lovey-dovey anything.
00:59:06 I actually have to do a little bit of work.
00:59:09 Understandably, Mel, I think Mel has her guard up.
00:59:12 I'm going to let her have her own time.
00:59:14 I can have a bit of time as well.
00:59:16 And hopefully it's going to be a benefit for both of us.
00:59:18 We'll find out in the morning.
00:59:19 This is definitely not what I thought my first night as a married woman would be.
00:59:25 You know, he's off doing something in one room.
00:59:27 I'm off doing something in another room.
00:59:29 I'm all for work.
00:59:32 But even though there was a little bit of rockiness, like
00:59:35 we could have, you know, talked that out a little bit.
00:59:38 Good night.
00:59:39 Good night.
00:59:40 Say it happier.
00:59:42 Good night.
00:59:45 Good night.
00:59:46 Doesn't feel like that's my husband and I'm his wife.
00:59:51 On the other side of the city, Josh is dressed to impress.
00:59:59 You seriously have Toy Story pajamas?
01:00:02 I do, yeah.
01:00:03 Yeah.
01:00:04 Yeah, I do.
01:00:05 No, really?
01:00:07 Do I fancy Josh?
01:00:10 Yes.
01:00:10 Besides his Toy Story pajamas.
01:00:15 Do you have a favorite character from Toy Story?
01:00:17 Woody.
01:00:19 I don't get it.
01:00:26 Josh just has to lay his guard down so that I can show him the way that I like things.
01:00:33 And if Josh gets a taste of what I like, I think that he might like it too.
01:00:39 This or nothing.
01:00:44 Josh, tonight is going to blow your mind.
01:00:48 So sit back, buckle up and enjoy the ride because it's coming your way.
01:00:56 I just want to snow plow you right now.
01:00:58 This morning marks a brand new chapter for our newlyweds
01:01:08 as they begin the first day of married life together.
01:01:13 And the moment is particularly significant for Melissa.
01:01:16 How are you?
01:01:21 How did you sleep?
01:01:22 Good.
01:01:23 I've been single for 10 years now.
01:01:26 So to wake up next to now my husband is amazing.
01:01:33 Are you tired?
01:01:33 Yeah, it's a long day.
01:01:36 Was it a traditional wedding night where things consummated?
01:01:42 No, last night we just had a really lovely kiss and cuddle and went to bed.
01:01:47 How was your wedding night?
01:01:50 Was it good?
01:01:50 Was sex last night with Josh good?
01:01:53 Yes.
01:01:56 Did any intimacy progress?
01:01:59 No, no intimacy progressed.
01:02:02 Last night went off with a bang.
01:02:04 We're older, we don't have to jump in any of that stuff and we've got a lot of time to
01:02:08 get to know each other. So there's no need to rush that aspect.
01:02:11 I was looking for a big burly man to throw me around on the first night.
01:02:16 Let me tell you, Josh has it covered.
01:02:20 The way that a relationship normally progresses is that, you know,
01:02:23 either you get involved in that kind of stuff straight up or you don't.
01:02:28 Thor does have a big hammer and Thor does not disappoint.
01:02:34 I'm open to taking the time and just seeing when we're both comfortable around that kind of stuff.
01:02:39 I'm on the Josh train now. Boop boop, I'm not getting off.
01:02:43 I'm definitely a bug in a rug.
01:02:47 Although there's some confusion around whether or not Melissa and Josh had sex,
01:02:52 for Melinda and Leighton, the answer is crystal clear.
01:03:08 We definitely did not have sex.
01:03:10 We had no physical intimacy or anything. There was not even a hug.
01:03:16 How'd you sleep?
01:03:18 You snored.
01:03:20 Oh no, I think the last thing we were focused on was sexy time.
01:03:26 Certainly for me, I was focused on sexy dream time.
01:03:29 We're gonna start getting ready.
01:03:31 Where are we going?
01:03:33 I don't know. What's more exciting?
01:03:35 Where do you want to go?
01:03:38 Anywhere with you, sweetheart.
01:03:39 I pick up energy a lot and I feel like we're just a bit off.
01:03:46 And we're about to go on honeymoon, so it's like, how is this gonna go?
01:03:51 Congratulations, newlyweds.
01:03:54 We hope you enjoyed every minute of your first day as husband and wife.
01:03:57 Now's the time to really embrace life as a married couple,
01:03:59 and there's no better place to do this than along the majestic Hawkesbury River.
01:04:03 Wow.
01:04:07 Do you know where that location is?
01:04:09 It's not Fiji.
01:04:11 Fiji! I'm so excited.
01:04:15 The final two honeymoons of the experiment are underway,
01:04:21 and Melissa and Josh are riding the crest of a wave in the Pacific paradise of Fiji.
01:04:28 There's a church there. We can renew our vows.
01:04:34 As Melinda and Leighton settle into their luxury lodge on the Hawkesbury River.
01:04:39 Here we go.
01:04:41 Welcome gift.
01:04:44 They will be staying sealed.
01:04:47 Meanwhile, back in Fiji...
01:04:54 I'd love another water. It'd be awesome.
01:04:56 Melissa is hoping to recapture the same sexual chemistry
01:05:02 that she claims happened on her wedding night with husband Josh.
01:05:06 Can I do the guns, please?
01:05:09 Yeah, sure.
01:05:10 Don't act like you don't like it.
01:05:14 Yeah.
01:05:15 Last night was amazing.
01:05:18 Having sex on the first night was great, and I want more.
01:05:22 We had a sleep-in this morning, so Josh should be full of energy.
01:05:26 So hopefully he's noticing my advances.
01:05:32 So you want me to be your pecs?
01:05:33 I'm good. I'm good.
01:05:35 Let me tell you, Josh with no top on by the poolside.
01:05:39 Like my heart.
01:05:42 That's a really great costume that you have on.
01:05:44 Hoping it doesn't stay on for too long.
01:05:47 My little sexy ways to seduce Josh in the pool.
01:05:51 I hope it's working.
01:05:53 Catching a ride in my own private pool.
01:05:55 A PG rated ride.
01:05:56 Yeah.
01:05:57 Yes.
01:06:01 Can I sit on you because I can't.
01:06:02 Oh, I can sit.
01:06:06 That's better.
01:06:07 It works out for all that's involved.
01:06:09 Yeah.
01:06:10 After the pool, I'd like to take him to the showers
01:06:12 and see if I can just, you know, steam things up a little bit more for us
01:06:17 and see where that goes.
01:06:18 Yeah, that was crooked.
01:06:20 I feel like a hot shower after a cold water.
01:06:24 It will be steamy.
01:06:25 It will be hot.
01:06:26 And if that requires removing some clothing,
01:06:30 I'm 100% willing to participate.
01:06:32 I'm gonna go and change to get changed.
01:06:38 Josh walked out.
01:06:55 It's like, what?
01:06:59 If getting these girls out doesn't work,
01:07:01 I don't know what's gonna make him turn his head.
01:07:04 Wow.
01:07:07 So, um, whoa.
01:07:10 Anyways, um, maybe he'll get the second advance.
01:07:15 Um, one's hoping.
01:07:16 How are you feeling?
01:07:17 Uh, yeah, I'm a little bit tired, but I'll be good.
01:07:22 I'll be good.
01:07:23 It's just, it's normally when I'd have my naps.
01:07:25 But, uh...
01:07:29 We should have a nap together.
01:07:30 No, no, no, it's a nice day outside.
01:07:35 Yeah.
01:07:35 Yeah.
01:07:37 Yeah.
01:07:38 I could really feel Josh backing away.
01:07:41 He's my husband, you know, like this is our honeymoon.
01:07:44 So, like, I want him to want to rip off my clothes and, you know, be big Tarzan.
01:07:50 Starting to think, does he like me?
01:07:54 Maybe I'm not pretty enough.
01:07:56 Maybe I'm not skinny enough.
01:07:58 Am I worried?
01:08:00 Absolutely.
01:08:01 Whatever the reasons are, it makes me feel like I'm not enough.
01:08:06 On the Hawkesbury River, Melinda and Leighton have taken to portrait painting.
01:08:18 Ooh, over there professionally sketching.
01:08:20 As they look to work on a difficult start to married life.
01:08:25 I think I'm making you a little bit more better looking.
01:08:27 Are you?
01:08:28 Yeah, thank you later.
01:08:29 Okay, thank you.
01:08:30 I love that.
01:08:31 Yeah.
01:08:32 How I'm feeling about Melinda at the moment is I feel like I'm getting a little bit closer to her.
01:08:37 I feel more comfortable with her.
01:08:38 I think she feels more comfortable with me.
01:08:39 With time, as we start to learn more about each other, I think we can build that.
01:08:44 Do a little flex.
01:08:45 Yeah, okay.
01:08:47 Done.
01:08:49 At the moment, it's not working in the way of romance,
01:08:54 but I'm here to work on things, even if they are rocky right now.
01:08:58 Sorry.
01:09:00 Are you?
01:09:01 It looks like something out of a horror movie.
01:09:05 Meanwhile, in an unguarded moment in Fiji.
01:09:11 I'm concerned that you just don't notice when I'm upset.
01:09:15 Melissa has confronted Josh after he ignored her advances earlier in the day.
01:09:20 I'm a little concerned because I feel like that you're not attracted to me.
01:09:26 Like I'm flipping out a little.
01:09:28 Like in this is kind of like the first time you've ever flagged that,
01:09:33 do I like you or what's that effect?
01:09:36 I mean, up until this stage, I just thought that you knew that I liked you.
01:09:39 No, I had not for one second doubted Josh that he wasn't into me.
01:09:45 Until today.
01:09:46 What have you done to reassure me that you've liked me?
01:09:50 I've held your hand, I've given you kisses.
01:09:52 Yeah.
01:09:53 What more?
01:09:54 They ask you when, if you've had sex with me, right?
01:09:56 They have a few times and I just said no.
01:10:00 You're lying.
01:10:02 Well, I mean, I've got some integrity where I would keep some things for us.
01:10:07 That's, that's really shitty.
01:10:11 He's been lying about it.
01:10:13 I can't believe it.
01:10:16 It was a lie.
01:10:16 You can say that you've f***** me and that we've had sex and that it's OK.
01:10:20 We are both like adults.
01:10:23 I would never phrase it like that.
01:10:24 Well.
01:10:25 But yeah, I understand what you're saying.
01:10:27 I don't know, you're just so conservative about it.
01:10:29 It's not a problem.
01:10:29 I'm not asking for shots.
01:10:31 I'm not asking for videos.
01:10:32 There's no diary cam.
01:10:33 No, I get it.
01:10:33 Oh, that's f*****.
01:10:34 So have you been intimate?
01:10:36 Yeah, we have been intimate.
01:10:40 You know, the details of which I don't really want to go in.
01:10:43 It's not in my nature to to talk to that level of detail.
01:10:47 But yeah, yeah, we have.
01:10:48 You have to understand this is a relationship show and people are going to
01:10:53 see if you're not intimate, that it's a red flag that you're not into me.
01:10:59 I don't know why he wouldn't want to tell the world like sex with his wife is not a bad thing.
01:11:06 So because I say that I don't say that I'm having sex regularly.
01:11:10 Yeah.
01:11:10 Is I'm not into someone.
01:11:11 Is that am I making a leap there or is that what you're...
01:11:14 100 percent.
01:11:15 That's it.
01:11:15 OK.
01:11:16 I would never really talk about that stuff in real life.
01:11:21 I've got Christian conservative parents.
01:11:23 So I didn't feel the need to kind of shout it from the rooftops.
01:11:27 In my heart that I feel something for Mel.
01:11:30 I don't really want to share everything with everyone.
01:11:33 I want to keep some things for us.
01:11:35 You tell me what if you want.
01:11:36 I don't need to know.
01:11:38 I'm going to maintain what I want.
01:11:40 And if you feel...
01:11:41 It's not if I feel.
01:11:43 It's like they're asking me a question.
01:11:44 I have to be honest.
01:11:45 Yeah, but that's also a feeling.
01:11:47 I am so confused.
01:11:49 I don't feel telling the world that you're being intimate on your honeymoon is a problem.
01:11:55 Doing that action has put a huge wedge between Josh and I.
01:12:01 It's gone to shit.
