00:11 A senior citizen was charged at the Magistrate's Court in Georgetown, Penang today,
00:16 with intentionally wounding the religious feelings of others last week.
00:20 Sofia Abdul Majid is accused of committing the offense at Masjid Al Rahman in Batu Ferengi

00:28 The 65-year-old allegedly likened the Quranic recitations of the mosques' Imam and Bilal
00:33 to barking and said they were possessed by a Chinese or Hindu ghost.
00:38 When the charge was read to her, Sofia claimed she did not understand its contents.

00:46 Magistrate Nadratul Naim Saidi directed that Sofia be sent for observation to Ulu Kinta Hospital.
