00:00 Okay David, if you can just tell us a wee bit about what it means to you to have won this award.
00:04 Well it means a lot, yeah. Since getting the nomination, it's, I kind of, maybe just reflect on, well, just how much it does encourage you.
00:19 We see that at work, we actually have a thing where we, someone started this little minor version of this where we praise people and it's amazing how a bit of positive feedback does make a difference.
00:34 Yeah, so for me it's been like that, but I've seen it at work as well, that, you know, it really does help because it's not always like that, but when it does happen it's great.
00:44 And you were nominated by the family, I think, which I assume. I think so, yeah, you don't quite know, but I think I probably was.
00:49 Does that make it a bit more special? It does, yeah, it was a very special experience that, and yeah, so, I've seen them tonight, or the mum, and yeah, I'm so pleased that they've come through it safely.
01:04 You talked when you were being presented with the award about the team that works with you and behind you. Totally, yeah.
01:11 Do you want to say a bit more about that? Yeah, it's absolutely a team effort.
01:15 In fact, a lot of the recent research and stuff in medicine is on that aspect of how the team working together is key and avoiding conflict and, you know, people treating each other well and how much it improves things.
01:36 And I've had a number of experiences in recent years of very junior members of the team just putting their finger in something.
01:45 And if you have a team that works such that that person, even though they're a student nurse or someone, can bring that information up the way without fear of it may not always be right, it makes a difference.
01:58 I've had a number of cases where that's made a big difference. And that's if a good cohesive team is working together.
02:06 So it really feels like an award for the team that works with you? It definitely does, yeah.
02:09 Yeah, because they'll be like slagging me off on Monday for, you know, why are you there? But it definitely is a team effort.
