00:02:28 Today is Wednesday, March 13th.
00:02:33 Standing on the corner, Jamis Winston down in Barea.
00:02:36 I got a standing on a corner, Jamis Winston Cuyahoga.
00:02:40 Oh, I like that.
00:02:41 I like that.
00:02:42 Jamis Winston's on the Browns.
00:02:43 That's the river.
00:02:44 The river that caught on fire in Cleveland at one time.
00:02:46 Barea is where the practice facility is.
00:02:48 The facility is.
00:02:49 Yeah, I like Cuyahoga.
00:02:50 It made me standing on the shore of Jamis Winston Cuyahoga.
00:02:53 Yeah.
00:02:54 Standing on the shore of Jamis Winston Cuyahoga.
00:02:56 Jamis Winston is a Brown.
00:02:57 We got NFL free agency.
00:02:59 We're going to get into a lot more detail with Pete Prisco, but I think Jamis signing
00:03:03 with the Browns, that puts a nail in the Joe Flacco discussion, right?
00:03:06 It's like Joe.
00:03:07 Yeah.
00:03:08 I think they brought in Jamis because they could have re-signed Joe Flacco.
00:03:12 I think Flacco was too popular.
00:03:14 I think that they were like-
00:03:15 Jamis is going to be the most popular.
00:03:18 That's what they don't understand is that Jamis is...
00:03:21 Maybe some of Jamis's leadership qualities will rub off.
00:03:23 That's probably a bad choice of terms.
00:03:26 Maybe some of Jamis Winston's leadership qualities will motivate Deshaun Watson to be a better
00:03:32 human being.
00:03:33 Yeah.
00:03:34 Not rub off.
00:03:35 I'm happy for Jamis Winston though.
00:03:36 I'm very happy.
00:03:37 He wanted a place and guess what?
00:03:38 Deshaun Watson might not play the whole season.
00:03:40 So we might get some Jamis for the Browns.
00:03:43 That's chaotic good.
00:03:44 It is.
00:03:45 It's good.
00:03:46 I like it.
00:03:47 It sounds like he got a good deal too, like 8 million for a year.
00:03:50 Now all he has to do is wait.
00:03:51 He should have been Kirk Cousins who's now made over $400 million in his NFL career.
00:03:57 Well, maybe.
00:03:58 So he's made like, what is it?
00:04:00 230 something million and he's got a hundred million guaranteed money.
00:04:04 He's probably going to eclipse 400 million over the course of his career.
00:04:08 It's crazy.
00:04:09 One million guaranteed at signing and the other 10 million is guaranteed a year early.
00:04:14 So I want, I want Kirk Cousins agent.
00:04:16 Yeah.
00:04:17 Incredible.
00:04:18 Incredible.
00:04:19 I mean like whatever you want to say about Kirk Cousins, the quarterback, he has played
00:04:21 every single thing right when it comes to a free agency and the teams he picked.
00:04:27 Cause I was thinking about it like he probably could have stayed with the Vikings.
00:04:30 They wouldn't have given him as much money and they also would have, they've done, they've,
00:04:34 they've had the Kirk Cousins experience.
00:04:36 They know they probably would have always had an eye towards who's going to be the next
00:04:40 guy.
00:04:41 Now he gets to start fresh in Atlanta and it feels like he's going to be the guy for
00:04:44 his Atlanta's basically saying, maybe he's, maybe he'll take us over the top.
00:04:49 Yeah.
00:04:50 I think, I think he's going to be a good quarterback for him.
00:04:51 I think it's a good fit for both sides and he's got, he's getting 62 and a half million
00:04:56 in cash this year.
00:04:57 Yeah.
00:04:58 He's getting 90 million in the first two years and he has another no trade clause.
00:05:02 Yeah.
00:05:03 So the goat, he is, he is the goat at getting paid.
00:05:05 One playoff win.
00:05:06 One playoff win.
00:05:07 He only has one.
00:05:08 I thought he had two.
00:05:09 Oh no.
00:05:10 Cause that wasn't the, the Minneapolis miracle was what's his name?
00:05:13 Case Keenum.
00:05:14 Yeah.
00:05:15 Yeah.
00:05:16 And we also had one of my favorite parts of free agency is when guys go to teams that
00:05:18 just make sense.
00:05:19 Derrick Henry to the Ravens just makes sense.
00:05:22 And I'll say it even though they're rivals, Patrick Queen is going to be perfect as a
00:05:25 stealer.
00:05:26 Yeah.
00:05:27 It's going to be good.
00:05:28 They, they lost a queen, but they got a King.
00:05:29 Yeah.
00:05:30 The NFL.
00:05:31 There we go.
00:05:32 That's the new tagline.
00:05:33 Yeah.
00:05:34 I think it's the most groundbreaking news about, um, about Derrick Henry and Patrick
00:05:38 Queen and just said the NFL.
00:05:40 I feel like the Ravens have lost every player.
00:05:43 Have they lost Gus Lyman?
00:05:45 They lost Gus.
00:05:46 They lost Patrick Queen.
00:05:47 I think they lost a safety.
00:05:48 Yeah.
00:05:49 They lost a safety to the Bengals, which was a great pickup by the Bengals.
00:05:51 I feel like they're getting gutted and there's the dolphins are getting gutted.
00:05:56 Some teams getting gutted right now.
00:05:58 Yeah.
00:05:59 We should talk about our new, new running backs.
00:06:01 We got great.
00:06:02 We're zigging while everyone else zags.
00:06:04 The two of us and Max, we all got new running backs.
00:06:06 Uh, Deandre Swift, you got Austin Eckler, Max, you got Saquon Barkley.
00:06:12 How are we feeling about it?
00:06:13 By the way, Tiki Barber, you're a loser dude.
00:06:16 Dead to me.
00:06:17 You are a loser.
00:06:18 Tiki Barber's dead to us.
00:06:20 I don't know where to like, okay, no, we should get him on.
00:06:23 Let me say this as nice as possible.
00:06:24 Tiki Barber, you're dead to us until you come on part of my take.
00:06:27 Well, here's, I have a quote from Tiki Barber after he retired with the giants.
00:06:31 So Tiki Barber took offense to the fact that Saquon Barkley went to the Eagles and said,
00:06:35 you're dead to me.
00:06:36 Uh, you can't do that.
00:06:38 You can't go from the giants to Eagles.
00:06:39 Tiki Barber after abruptly retiring, I should be able to choose when I want to leave and
00:06:43 if I want to stay.
00:06:45 Some people, particularly radio personalities who will remain nameless, criticize me for
00:06:50 having a vision or a dream.
00:06:52 That's interesting.
00:06:53 Hmm.
00:06:54 Also Tiki Barber, I'm not going to do the low blow stuff, but let's just, you know,
00:06:59 when we're talks about like loyalty, you're not the guy.
00:07:04 No, you're not the guy.
00:07:05 No, that we can go down that road Tiki.
00:07:07 But you're not, you're not the guy to talk about loyalty.
00:07:09 That was a crazy reaction by him.
00:07:11 It was nuts.
00:07:12 I get the hatred of your division rivals, but at the same time, it's like you played
00:07:17 running back.
00:07:18 You know that running backs aren't getting paid.
00:07:19 How are you going to shame a guy for getting paid more money to go play?
00:07:23 The giants could have given more money last year.
00:07:25 Saquon literally said it.
00:07:26 He's like, I wanted more, like they find someone gave me the money I was looking for.
00:07:29 It's going to be so sick to see Phillies fans, uh, or excuse me, Eagles fans in the stands
00:07:33 next year wearing like Barkley Sixers jerseys for Saquon.
00:07:38 And also it works cause Penn state, you got the, you know, a lot of, a lot of Penn state
00:07:42 fans, diehard Saquon fans, Eagles fans.
00:07:44 So Max, how are you feeling?
00:07:45 We, we did break the mold though.
00:07:47 Uh, just paying running backs.
00:07:49 Yep.
00:07:50 So did, so did the Packers, Josh Jacobs.
00:07:51 So did, uh, the Vikings, Aaron Jones.
00:07:54 This feels like an overreaction.
00:07:55 No, it was like, everyone's like, oh yeah, maybe that zoom call.
00:07:58 We should listen to them.
00:07:59 No, it's a, it's the new market inefficiency.
00:08:01 Big cat.
00:08:02 Our, our teams are smart.
00:08:04 We saw every other team in the NFL wasn't willing to pay running backs.
00:08:06 And we said, you know what?
00:08:08 Now's the time.
00:08:09 If ever now's the time to get out of that.
00:08:11 I also saw there's something about the cat.
00:08:13 There's a reason for that, that like went up, went up.
00:08:15 So cat went up.
00:08:16 So this is actually in the amount that running backs are getting paid are actually in line
00:08:20 with the cat percentage.
00:08:21 Oh, um, yep.
00:08:23 That's, that's something that I won't figure out for at least three more years.
00:08:27 I'd be like someone would point out that actually all these deals were very smart.
00:08:30 I'm like, oh, okay.
00:08:32 And then by that time the capital have stayed flat and running backs will be having to get
00:08:36 paid less again.
00:08:37 What about inflation too?
00:08:38 Does that help?
00:08:39 Like is Joe Biden good for running backs?
00:08:42 Probably we can make that argument.
00:08:43 We can go down that line.
00:08:45 Yeah, probably.
00:08:46 Uh, max, I saw that you also got, you got a fantastic new piece of memorabilia.
00:08:50 You have a, the Jason Kelsey soup can.
00:08:53 Yeah, no, it rocks.
00:08:55 So how much did you pay for that can of soup?
00:08:58 Um, that's what was gifted to me.
00:09:00 Okay.
00:09:01 Are you going to drink it?
00:09:03 Drink it?
00:09:04 Yeah.
00:09:05 Like shotgun it.
00:09:06 You should, Jason Kelsey would shotgun that soup.
00:09:07 I don't think you can shotgun.
00:09:09 I would drink it.
00:09:10 I don't think you can shotgun anything.
00:09:11 Yeah, you can shotgun a can of soup.
00:09:13 I don't know.
00:09:14 How big does that hole have to be?
00:09:16 Pretty big.
00:09:17 Big hole.
00:09:18 But it was just, yeah, I mean I was shocked.
00:09:19 I shotgun that soup.
00:09:20 It's great.
00:09:21 I mean it's a great looking can.
00:09:22 Great looking.
00:09:23 You're never going to eat that soup.
00:09:24 I mean, I don't know how many, see that's the thing.
00:09:25 Ah, you got to eat it when it goes in a can.
00:09:28 Yes.
00:09:29 Actually that's a great idea because I want to like have it on my desk because it's great
00:09:34 to look at.
00:09:35 Yeah.
00:09:36 Yeah, don't eat that.
00:09:37 Don't eat that.
00:09:38 No, you should shotgun it.
00:09:39 He would want you to shotgun it.
00:09:41 It is like a collectible.
00:09:42 It's awesome.
00:09:43 Yeah, shout out Campbell sending me that soup.
00:09:45 It's awesome.
00:09:46 Max just likes to sit there and look at a can of soup.
00:09:47 Yeah.
00:09:48 I mean it's great.
00:09:49 This reminds me of my favorite football player.
00:09:50 All right, so who else?
00:09:53 So Saquon, you're pumped?
00:09:55 Yeah, I mean Saquon is, I've watched Saquon since he was in college.
00:09:59 He was so electric at Penn State.
00:10:01 Always, I mean that hurdle against Iowa will always be like one of the coolest plays I've
00:10:05 ever seen.
00:10:06 Agreed.
00:10:07 And it sucked having him on the Giants the past X amount of years because he was like
00:10:12 such a fan favorite at Penn State.
00:10:15 And then when you get him, like I've always been a, I don't want to pay a running back,
00:10:19 don't want to pay a running back guy.
00:10:21 But then when you pay the running back and the running back Saquon Barkley, you just
00:10:24 get to watch so many fun highlights.
00:10:26 Yeah.
00:10:27 I mean like that's the really the best part of Saquon is like yesterday I spent so much
00:10:30 time just watching Saquon highlights.
00:10:32 He's got great highlights too.
00:10:33 Yeah, he's awesome.
00:10:34 And he's the best.
00:10:35 I'm so excited.
00:10:36 I like the Swift signing too because Swift was awesome last year for you guys.
00:10:39 Max, you know that.
00:10:41 And I think that this is good.
00:10:42 It's like if you've got to pay a running back, I think he's one guy that you should pay.
00:10:46 And like Saquon and Swift, I think are two great signings.
00:10:48 Also Austin Eckler seems like a cool guy.
00:10:50 That's what I'll say.
00:10:51 And it's also like, yes, Saquon is getting older, but he's played behind the worst offensive
00:10:55 line every year of his career.
00:10:58 And he's going to the Eagles that like, there's some stat that Saquon had the highest percentage
00:11:03 of like plays hit behind the line of scrimmage.
00:11:06 And DeAndre Swift had the least amount of plays hit behind the line of scrimmage.
00:11:10 So it's like, we could see a Saquon that we haven't seen before.
00:11:14 Do you think Saquon is going to be good for the tush push?
00:11:17 I think he might be.
00:11:18 He might be.
00:11:19 Yeah.
00:11:20 He might be a good one and have that ass start working.
00:11:22 I saw a picture of a side by side of both Jalen and Saquon's quads.
00:11:26 Great, great, great set of legs on those two fellas.
00:11:30 Quads for days.
00:11:31 Yeah, we have a, it's, yeah, it's free agency frenzy.
00:11:34 We have the, the Schaefter doing the fake deals, Rapport too, where it's just the agent,
00:11:39 you give it, give a little handshake deal.
00:11:40 Hey, yeah, I'll report that this is a three year deal for $40 million.
00:11:44 And then it's like, oh, it's actually a one year deal for 10 million guaranteed.
00:11:47 There's also a weird rumor going on out there.
00:11:50 Jamar Chase has kind of fed into it a little bit.
00:11:52 He said, I can't wait to tell the story.
00:11:54 It's going to be crazy one day.
00:11:55 Oh, people are speculating.
00:11:56 Let the speculation begin.
00:11:58 And we all know that wide receivers amongst all positions have the weirdest tweets, the
00:12:02 most cryptic tweets possible, which I love.
00:12:04 A lot of people are thinking Kirk Cousins leaves Minnesota.
00:12:09 Justin Jefferson's not going to be too happy about, Oh, maybe get a little, Higgins is,
00:12:14 is looking for a trade as well.
00:12:15 Maybe get a little LSU reunion.
00:12:17 Could you imagine Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase with Joe Burrow?
00:12:21 I can't, I can't even imagine.
00:12:23 I don't know.
00:12:24 I can't even imagine it.
00:12:26 Yeah.
00:12:27 We have all these deals going left and right.
00:12:30 My approach for free agency is just if the bears signed someone, I'm like, yes, they're
00:12:35 back.
00:12:36 And then anyone else signs them, it's an overpay.
00:12:38 Yeah.
00:12:39 That's really how I just judge every single deal.
00:12:40 I'm kind of the same way.
00:12:41 And my friend JP Finley in DC tweeted this out today when the commanders have added like
00:12:46 five defensive players that are all like nice, maybe like average, slightly above average
00:12:50 million, $12 million deal.
00:12:52 And JP is like, I love this.
00:12:54 Keep hitting singles.
00:12:55 Yeah, it's right.
00:12:56 Yeah.
00:12:57 You're right.
00:12:58 Yeah.
00:12:59 Keep hitting singles.
00:13:00 Yeah.
00:13:01 Anyone who's anyone who's signing for less than three years and less than $15 million,
00:13:03 it's literally like great signing.
00:13:05 Great veteran, veteran depth is important in this league.
00:13:07 Yeah.
00:13:08 So, uh, yeah, it's, it's fun to just what Patriots might've solved their QB problem.
00:13:12 Oh yeah.
00:13:13 Jacoby reset.
00:13:14 Yeah.
00:13:15 He's a great player.
00:13:16 Yeah.
00:13:17 That's a very good backup.
00:13:18 I don't know.
00:13:20 Bears Twitter's freaking out right now because Justin Fields, let's just say that in the
00:13:24 dome might've overrated the fact might've overrated Justin Fields a little bit and his
00:13:28 contract teams don't want to trade for him.
00:13:30 But now there's this idea that they're going to keep Justin Fields and draft Caleb Williams.
00:13:36 I am very much opposed to that, but that feels like what a potential situation to get the
00:13:41 most value out of Justin Fields.
00:13:43 So I brought that up a few months ago and I said, I didn't like it.
00:13:46 You said big cat, big cat, big cat.
00:13:49 But big cat, what was my point when I did bring it up?
00:13:51 Was that, was that there will be an injury and then his value is going to go up.
00:13:56 It still makes no sense.
00:13:57 It doesn't make, Oh, by the way, did you see, um, the player in Arkansas state who's named
00:14:02 Caleb Fields?
00:14:03 No.
00:14:04 Yeah.
00:14:05 And then there's, there's another guy that's on, I think he's on Fairfield also named Caleb
00:14:08 Fields.
00:14:09 Oh wow.
00:14:10 You can't escape this debate.
00:14:11 Got a lot of them.
00:14:12 This debate, this debate just lives.
00:14:13 The city of Chicago can't handle having those two guys on the same roster.
00:14:17 It would not be good.
00:14:19 Let alone the locker room.
00:14:20 But yeah, I obviously, if, if Ryan pulls like I want to get the most value out of Justin
00:14:24 Fields, you keep them.
00:14:25 Yeah.
00:14:26 It's a really bad idea.
00:14:27 I'm consistent.
00:14:28 It's I, I remember when you said that to me, I was like, that's a bad idea because literally
00:14:31 everyone in that locker room has said that Justin Fields is the guy.
00:14:35 And if you bring in Caleb Williams, the, you're basically saying, I hope Caleb Williams is
00:14:39 so much better than Justin Fields that everyone will watch him play football and say, Oh yeah,
00:14:43 forget about Justin Fields.
00:14:44 We'll put them on the bench.
00:14:46 Maybe two quarterback system.
00:14:47 Didn't they do that with Spencer Rattler and Caleb Williams and everyone was like, play
00:14:51 Caleb.
00:14:52 It was more Caleb came in and was way better.
00:14:54 Yeah.
00:14:55 Oh yeah.
00:14:56 This guy's really good.
00:14:57 Yeah.
00:14:58 The fans were like, play Caleb.
00:14:59 I just, this is just too much hand wringing, too many signings, too many trades happening
00:15:01 and none of them are Justin Fields.
00:15:03 Yeah.
00:15:04 Hank brings up a good point though.
00:15:05 The dome, the dome in Chicago, Kurt Warner's smiling.
00:15:07 His head is spinning.
00:15:08 He's so excited about this.
00:15:10 Bear weather is dead.
00:15:11 I don't like it.
00:15:12 I don't like it all.
00:15:13 I want to come to Chicago and I want to see a bunch of linemen on the bears wearing like
00:15:17 cutoff sleeves.
00:15:19 We're tougher than the cold.
00:15:20 I wanted a retractable dome and open it whenever it's bad weather.
00:15:24 Yes.
00:15:25 Like that's what, that's what they should do.
00:15:26 If I had a team, that's what I would do.
00:15:28 I would, I would have a retractable dome.
00:15:30 I'd keep it closed if it was like, you know, 50 degrees or a rainy, but anytime it dipped
00:15:36 below 30 I'd be like, open that bitch up.
00:15:39 Let's play some bear weather.
00:15:40 It also just gives so much material to Packers fans.
00:15:43 Well, they're never going to, they're never going to build a stadium.
00:15:45 Vikings.
00:15:46 I know.
00:15:47 Bears.
00:15:48 Yeah.
00:15:49 Dome.
00:15:50 Yeah.
00:15:51 Yeah, it's true.
00:15:52 Packers put a leg up.
00:15:53 They're never going to build the stadium, so it doesn't even matter.
00:15:55 With the winters in Chicago, it's almost like-
00:15:56 Also traffic's going to be the worst.
00:15:57 It doesn't, like bear weather might not be as impactful 10 years from now.
00:16:02 Like the weather in Chicago, this, Hank, I saw you tweet about it.
00:16:04 The winter has-
00:16:05 Yeah, I had it for my cool throne.
00:16:06 The winter has been awesome here.
00:16:08 It's going to, the bear weather is literally a polar bear sitting on a little ice cap.
00:16:12 Yeah.
00:16:13 With Coca-Cola in his hand, looking cute as fuck, about to eat a seal.
00:16:17 Yeah.
00:16:18 Like, don't, don't, don't eat that seal.
00:16:20 I always feel bad for the seals.
00:16:21 No, it's that they're moving forward though.
00:16:23 What else do they have to do?
00:16:24 Who, who fucking knows?
00:16:25 They keep saying that about everything.
00:16:26 It's going to take forever and they're probably going to change it seven more times and they're
00:16:31 going to, it's going to cost us all a shitload of money and it's going to be stupid and it's
00:16:35 going to be a joke.
00:16:36 But K.O. Williams will fix all these problems.
00:16:38 I think billionaires should pay for their own fucking stadiums.
00:16:41 Agreed.
00:16:42 That's a spicy tip.
00:16:43 I know.
00:16:44 Bleep that out, please.
00:16:45 You should get a show.
00:16:46 Is your owner even a billionaire?
00:16:47 What?
00:16:48 Is, what'd you say?
00:16:49 Are you guys even billionaires?
00:16:50 Aren't you guys like broke boys?
00:16:51 No, I mean, the bears are worth multiple billions of dollars.
00:16:57 So if they, they are technically billionaires by assets.
00:17:00 But not billionaires.
00:17:01 Oh no, they don't got cash in the bank.
00:17:03 No.
00:17:04 Okay.
00:17:05 No.
00:17:06 So she couldn't pay for her own fucking stadium.
00:17:07 She's got like, yeah, she's got like 6,000 bucks in there.
00:17:09 Yeah.
00:17:10 Yeah.
00:17:11 Could your owner?
00:17:12 Yeah.
00:17:13 He spent all that money on the lighthouse.
00:17:14 That's how he got the team in the first place.
00:17:16 Did he pay for his own stadium?
00:17:19 In a way.
00:17:20 I don't know.
00:17:21 I'm actually asking, did he?
00:17:22 I don't know.
00:17:23 I don't know the answer to that.
00:17:24 I'm sure.
00:17:25 I don't think any billionaires ever paid for their own stadium.
00:17:26 No, they never do.
00:17:27 But he did buy the, the property, which.
00:17:30 Oh, that's right.
00:17:31 So the way that he, the way that he got the money was he bought the parking lot next to
00:17:35 the stadium, right?
00:17:36 He bought the deed to the property.
00:17:37 Yeah.
00:17:38 So that if a team was going to buy the team, they're going to have to pay him to operate
00:17:43 the whatever stadium.
00:17:45 He's a parking lot billionaire.
00:17:46 So the NFL is like, we'd rather just sell it to you rather than give money.
00:17:49 The key to any new stadium is just two words, hotel tax.
00:17:52 That's what you just always got to say.
00:17:53 We're going to tax the hotels.
00:17:55 No one here is like, oh fuck.
00:17:57 What the hell?
00:17:58 Yeah.
00:17:59 Right.
00:18:00 She's like tax hotels.
00:18:01 Each, each hotel gets taxed.
00:18:02 Play a monopoly now.
00:18:04 Who the fuck knows?
00:18:05 It's a joke.
00:18:06 Uh, all right.
00:18:07 What other free agencies talk?
00:18:09 Dolphins got gutted.
00:18:10 Yeah.
00:18:11 Are the dolphins okay?
00:18:12 I don't think so.
00:18:13 I don't think they're okay.
00:18:14 I think they're in like crisis mode.
00:18:15 Yeah.
00:18:16 Like Britney Spears shaving her head.
00:18:17 Tyreek also was in another Tyreek Hill.
00:18:20 His headlines, they're like Mad Libs now where it's every month it's like Tyreek Hill was
00:18:24 at a concert and pushed a woman.
00:18:26 Tyreek Hill was waiting in line at McDonald's and got in a fight with a seven year old boy.
00:18:32 Like it's just, I don't know.
00:18:33 It's like it's 73 kids in the last year.
00:18:36 Every headline I'm just like, okay, maybe this happened.
00:18:39 He's become like the funniest headline guy by far.
00:18:41 There was, you remember that graphic of a, like all of his ex girlfriends and baby mamas?
00:18:45 Yeah.
00:18:46 They all looked exactly the same.
00:18:47 What, what was the, I got to find the most recent one.
00:18:49 Tyreek Hill broke a, the woman's leg, only fans models leg in backyard football practice
00:18:55 after getting beat.
00:18:56 Yeah.
00:18:57 Like in response to getting smoked.
00:18:59 Tyreek, Tyreek Hill gets cooked on a go route.
00:19:02 Nice plus size only fan models leg and revenge drill.
00:19:05 Yeah.
00:19:06 Tyreek Hill gets crossed up on a basketball court, kicks a dog in the face.
00:19:10 Yeah.
00:19:11 Being sued.
00:19:12 Tyreek Hill assassinates Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
00:19:14 Okay, here it is.
00:19:15 Here's the most recent one.
00:19:17 Uh, Tyreek Hill and heated clash at Atlanta comedy gig escalates after his exit.
00:19:23 So it sounds like it was Tyreek Hill was involved in a heated conversation at Kevin Hart's comedy
00:19:27 gig, which escalated a full blown brawl after he left.
00:19:32 Uh, okay.
00:19:33 So sources close to dolphin star water, she ever tells us that after set settling into
00:19:37 a seat at the Coca-Cola Roxy Friday, a woman grabbed him claiming he had taken the seat
00:19:41 she had paid for.
00:19:42 Like, how does this happen?
00:19:44 It keeps happening to him.
00:19:46 So yeah, unlucky guy, unlucky guy.
00:19:48 Um, any other free agency stuff?
00:19:51 I just, yeah, it really is.
00:19:53 Just watch, watch the deals.
00:19:54 And if your rival gets a deal, you're like, that was an overpay.
00:19:56 I would never pay for a fucking center.
00:19:59 We've had some time to digest the Russell Wilson signing.
00:20:02 I don't hate it.
00:20:03 I still don't hate it.
00:20:05 I think he's cheap.
00:20:06 I'm still in like a, I doesn't change anything.
00:20:09 I think he's cheap.
00:20:10 I think it's a good division.
00:20:12 And speaking of Schefter saying when he did note that Russell Wilson signed a team friendly
00:20:16 deal.
00:20:17 Yep.
00:20:18 I like that.
00:20:19 He had no other option.
00:20:20 Team friendly deal.
00:20:21 He's getting paid a shitload.
00:20:22 What are the Broncos doing by the way?
00:20:23 Do the Broncos have a planet quarterback?
00:20:24 No.
00:20:25 I think they're going to gut it too.
00:20:26 Yeah, they have gutted.
00:20:27 What were you gonna say Max?
00:20:28 Uh, I was just gonna say we didn't bring up Brian Burns.
00:20:32 Oh, Brian Burns.
00:20:33 Yes.
00:20:34 We, we bring it up with Prisco, but Brian Burns, the Panthers new regime is just as
00:20:37 bad as the old one.
00:20:38 They traded Brian Burns for a second round pick to the giants, uh, a year and a half
00:20:42 after the old regime was offered two first rounders for him.
00:20:46 Yep.
00:20:47 So smart.
00:20:48 Awesome.
00:20:49 Smart work.
00:20:50 Great job.
00:20:51 Uh, the, the Viking signed Sam Darnold.
00:20:52 How stupid is that?
00:20:53 But just one last thing.
00:20:54 The old regime, if you get two first round picks for anyone, you should take it because
00:20:59 then it just extends your job.
00:21:00 Yeah.
00:21:01 You're like, I have the picks.
00:21:02 Cause then you're going to, yeah, you're going to see how those guys develop.
00:21:04 Yeah.
00:21:05 There's only a handful of people in the NFL that are worth two first round picks.
00:21:08 Yeah.
00:21:09 How many first rounds picks would Patrick Mahomes be worth?
00:21:11 Seriously.
00:21:12 All of them?
00:21:13 Seven?
00:21:14 So, so the-
00:21:15 Would it be seven?
00:21:16 Maybe.
00:21:17 The problem with Patrick Mahomes is that he's become, he's so good at playing football
00:21:20 that on an open market, I don't think any football team could afford to pay him to play
00:21:24 football.
00:21:25 Yeah.
00:21:26 Seven.
00:21:27 Seven.
00:21:28 Seven first round picks and then probably give him a, another like 600 million.
00:21:33 Yeah.
00:21:34 On top of that.
00:21:35 That's probably fair.
00:21:36 Yeah.
00:21:37 Patrick Mahomes.
00:21:38 On top of that.
00:21:39 Uh, yeah.
00:21:40 So yeah, you were saying Sam Darnold to the Vikings.
00:21:41 Vikings.
00:21:42 Is he going to be the starter?
00:21:43 I think he might.
00:21:44 Although no, the Vikings, it feels like they're going to draft a quarterback.
00:21:46 The Mono-Napolis Vikings?
00:21:47 Yeah.
00:21:48 That, that-
00:21:49 We'll go with that.
00:21:50 We'll play with that.
00:21:51 That falls right off the tongue.
00:21:52 Mm-hmm (affirmative).
00:21:53 I think signing Gardner Minshew, Viking signing Sam Darnold, it doesn't, I think that's the
00:21:59 plan is we needed like someone if the draft doesn't go our way to be, to be sitting here
00:22:05 and be like, that guy's played quarterback before.
00:22:07 Jimmy G could be that guy too.
00:22:09 That's always a smart strategy just to get someone in the room being like, you know,
00:22:13 he has played.
00:22:14 Mm-hmm (affirmative).
00:22:15 Jacobi Bursette to the Patriots.
00:22:16 He's played pretty well.
00:22:17 Yeah.
00:22:18 Jacobi Bursette might be the best backup quarterback.
00:22:19 Yeah, the Vikings have the 11th pick and the Raiders have the 13th pick.
00:22:24 That feels like that could easily be Michael Penix, Bo Nix, JJ McCarthy.
00:22:27 Yep.
00:22:28 Right in that zone.
00:22:29 Yeah.
00:22:30 All right, what else?
00:22:31 We got college basketball going crazy.
00:22:33 Congratulations to the James Madison Dukes for punching their ticket.
00:22:36 We're dancing, baby.
00:22:37 Beat the fuck out of Arkansas State.
00:22:38 Crushed Arkansas State.
00:22:39 Who could root for that team?
00:22:40 It wasn't even close.
00:22:42 Some people were saying that they were going to spank that ass before the game.
00:22:45 No, no, no.
00:22:46 The Red Wolves didn't stand a chance.
00:22:47 JMU is a really good team.
00:22:48 Yeah, they are.
00:22:49 I mean, the takeaway, if you watch them play at all this year, they had a couple stumbles,
00:22:53 but they have the best record in college basketball, most wins.
00:22:56 They tried to schedule more quad one, quad two games.
00:22:59 Fanta gets into that a little bit with us.
00:23:01 No team wants to play them, but they won 31 games this year.
00:23:06 Pretty good team.
00:23:07 I'm very excited to watch my team play in March Madness because it's a treat that a
00:23:12 lot of people get to experience year in, year out.
00:23:14 Like Villanova, they play in the tournament every single year without fail, and it's great
00:23:18 for those people.
00:23:19 It's just, you can mark it on your calendar.
00:23:21 Villanova is going to be in the NCAA tournament.
00:23:23 And for me, it's like, I've gotten to experience this one other time in my life.
00:23:27 March has an entirely different smell to it this year, where you get to look forward to
00:23:31 living and dying with your team.
00:23:32 So I'm very, very excited about that.
00:23:34 But yeah, conference tournament week is, we're in the thick of it right now.
00:23:37 We're balls deep in conference tournaments.
00:23:38 I'm just watching some of the shittiest basketball get played.
00:23:41 I was watching Towson, I think last night.
00:23:44 And was it Towson?
00:23:45 Hosto.
00:23:46 No, no, Towson.
00:23:47 I was watching Towson play.
00:23:48 Charleston.
00:23:49 Yeah, I was watching Towson.
00:23:50 Towson went to the line with a one and one with like 20 seconds left down two and the
00:23:54 kid air balled it.
00:23:55 And I was like, yeah, yeah, this is fucking March, dude.
00:23:58 It is good.
00:23:59 This is some good ass basketball I'm watching.
00:24:01 I can't wait.
00:24:02 I have a pre-fire fest I told you guys about, but I want to say it out loud because I'm
00:24:07 trying to manifest against this happening.
00:24:09 I have to be at a wedding that I committed to like eight months ago.
00:24:14 Unfortunately, it's the Friday of March Madness, which is bad timing in general to have a wedding.
00:24:21 I'm convinced that it's going to be JMU playing during that time.
00:24:25 That time slot, if it's on Friday afternoon, I'm going to be watching on the smallest screen
00:24:30 possible being anti-social at a wedding.
00:24:32 I'm not looking forward to that.
00:24:33 I want to be locked in on this game.
00:24:34 If I'm locked in, if I'm locked in, we're going to win two games.
00:24:38 I'm rooting for you.
00:24:39 If I have to watch it on my iPhone, we're going to lose that game.
00:24:41 That's how it's going to go.
00:24:42 I mean, pre-fire fest is I think, and this is a little egotistical, but I do think that
00:24:47 we've seen it maybe with the NFL scheduling when they throw what we played on Thursday
00:24:52 night and then I think the, what, two years ago the Bears played the Patriots on Monday
00:24:56 night.
00:24:57 A little egotistical, but I do think they could potentially have Wisconsin play JMU
00:25:01 in the first round and Wisconsin would lose that game.
00:25:03 Oh, that would be a fun stream.
00:25:04 Without a doubt.
00:25:05 That would be a fun stream.
00:25:06 Well, unless you're there, unless you're on Friday.
00:25:08 Is there somebody in that room that's an AWL?
00:25:12 I don't want it.
00:25:13 Wisconsin's going to lose whoever they play in the first round.
00:25:15 So I'd rather not.
00:25:16 Cause JMU is, although maybe that'd be a great friend move.
00:25:18 Be like, here, here's a buy.
00:25:19 Here's a win.
00:25:20 Uh, Jamie is slotted to be like an 11 or 12.
00:25:24 Wisconsin would probably be a six, six, but they, when they lose in the first round of
00:25:28 the big 10 tournament, there'll be a seven.
00:25:30 So that might end it right there.
00:25:32 I could actually, I think they will be a seven because they, they've just played so bad.
00:25:36 There's there.
00:25:38 It's really a bummer.
00:25:39 It's really a bummer.
00:25:40 And I, I, max is trying to get max is doing me.
00:25:44 Max is reversing it on me.
00:25:45 He's doing what I do to him and I don't like it.
00:25:47 Did he bet on Wisconsin?
00:25:48 No, he goes, I was like, I don't want like, we're going to lose.
00:25:52 It doesn't matter.
00:25:53 We, we stink.
00:25:54 We're playing bad basketball.
00:25:55 And that's like, nah, you'll still believe.
00:25:57 And I'm like, shut up, Max.
00:25:58 I won't.
00:25:59 We had to Max Purdue for me to believe.
00:26:01 Max, you gotta, you gotta put a substantial bet on Wisconsin.
00:26:03 That would be literally burning money.
00:26:05 I didn't say believe I said you were like, I just want to get it over with right away.
00:26:10 Have them lose.
00:26:11 But I have an AM on Thursday, but I said it would be better to be Friday because then
00:26:15 you get Thursday is the whole day of just like watching basketball because no matter
00:26:18 what he's going to be a little upset when Wisconsin loses.
00:26:22 I'll tell you this.
00:26:23 I won't be upset if they lose in the first round of the big 10 tournament, which by the
00:26:26 way, you should watch us.
00:26:27 We're going to be streaming from Chili's that the schedule gods graced us with that.
00:26:32 So we have, uh, I think it's one 30 Eastern, no one 30 central time, I believe is when
00:26:37 Wisconsin will tip against the winner of Maryland Rutgers.
00:26:40 We'll be live streaming it.
00:26:41 If they lose that game, there will be no hope and I will have no, like that will be full.
00:26:46 Get it over with.
00:26:47 Cause then it's like, they're as bad as I think they are right now.
00:26:51 But uh, and we also might, we might have to put pug on that stream.
00:26:54 Seton hall.
00:26:55 Yeah.
00:26:56 Yeah.
00:26:57 It's pug ready for the world.
00:26:58 It's pug ready for prime time.
00:26:59 Do you know Hank saying no, I was, I was watching the game with a, the pug's just a, he's a,
00:27:06 he's, he's, he's a nice pug, but I was watching the best part.
00:27:09 Villanova creating with them and I was, I was trying to fire him up and, and, and trying
00:27:12 to get him fired up on max.
00:27:13 He's just too nice.
00:27:14 I feel like pug is like his best.
00:27:17 He's like the anti max with his, with his, he's a normal fan.
00:27:22 I not over the top.
00:27:23 I like the idea also that it's like choose your own adventure behind the scenes with
00:27:26 pug.
00:27:27 If you're a listener of the show, you get to imagine pug and what he would be like watching
00:27:31 sports and I don't want to take that away from people.
00:27:34 Ooh, could we maybe get like a microphone set up a behind, like he could hold a microphone
00:27:38 behind the cameras and you just be like, let's go.
00:27:41 Good shot.
00:27:42 Pug.
00:27:43 That I like a lot.
00:27:44 I like that a lot.
00:27:45 All right, we'll get that set up.
00:27:46 He's like the wizard of Oz, but yeah, the man behind the curtain, go pirate.
00:27:48 It's bug.
00:27:49 Damn it.
00:27:50 Pug.
00:27:51 Yeah.
00:27:52 Just over and over pug.
00:27:53 Does anybody know where the tradition of cutting down the nets started?
00:27:57 Hmm.
00:27:58 Probably by Jim Nance.
00:28:00 Yeah.
00:28:01 He started every March.
00:28:02 I know it used to be sponsored by Warner to the official ladder of the NCAA, but 1947
00:28:08 NC state, uh, won the Southern conference championship and Wolfpack coach Everett case
00:28:13 had his players hoist them up so he could cut down the net to keep as a souvenir.
00:28:16 Do you remember the first time that you were like, that's so cool that they have, uh, cut
00:28:22 down the nets like as a kid?
00:28:24 Yeah.
00:28:25 When was it?
00:28:26 It was, it was actually Duke when Duke won the natty in like 1991 I think.
00:28:31 Okay.
00:28:32 Yeah.
00:28:33 I remember seeing that.
00:28:34 I'm like, that's awesome.
00:28:35 I want to cut down a net.
00:28:36 I think fun story.
00:28:37 I remember playing a game when I was like six years old where there were probably no
00:28:39 rules and actually probably nobody actually won that game.
00:28:42 And then I asked my coach if we could cut down the net and he said, he said, no, they
00:28:45 need for the next game.
00:28:46 I cut down the net 2019 America's championship when Vermont won.
00:28:50 Oh, they let you cut down.
00:28:51 I'll send you guys the picture.
00:28:52 I remember, uh, it was when, uh, Syracuse made the final four in 95 96 season and John
00:28:58 Wallace got off the, uh, he got off the bus with the net in his head, like dangling out
00:29:04 of his hat.
00:29:05 That's cool.
00:29:06 And I was like, that's fucking cool.
00:29:07 Yeah.
00:29:08 Like that, that, that rocks.
00:29:09 Jake, isn't that a bit unprofessional though?
00:29:10 Like as a journalist, you should not be cutting down the net.
00:29:13 You're a traveling member of the team.
00:29:14 I think it's valid.
00:29:15 Think about it.
00:29:16 They get rings.
00:29:17 I don't know.
00:29:18 Where is that net?
00:29:19 It's in my house in Florida somewhere.
00:29:20 That you don't know.
00:29:21 I don't know.
00:29:22 Holy shit.
00:29:23 Come on Jake.
00:29:24 But no, think about it.
00:29:25 The voices of the teams, like they get rings.
00:29:28 I know you're journalists.
00:29:29 No, that's a different, no, they're the hometown voice.
00:29:32 They get to be, it's like Hawkeye or Harrelson.
00:29:34 It's not like Jim Nance is cutting down the net for CBS.
00:29:36 I bet you he's tried.
00:29:38 He's definitely.
00:29:39 Wait, is this, no, last year was his last final.
00:29:41 Yeah, no Jim Nance.
00:29:42 So who do we have?
00:29:43 Ian Eagle next up.
00:29:44 We got Ian Eagle.
00:29:45 Okay.
00:29:46 Um, all right.
00:29:47 Noah's probably going to do the NIT.
00:29:48 No, he's NBC.
00:29:49 Oh, okay.
00:29:50 Of course.
00:29:51 I screwed up my networks.
00:29:52 How could you?
00:29:53 Uh, by the way, this show is brought to you by Uber Eats.
00:29:59 Big announcement.
00:30:00 Did you know that you can get almost, almost anything from Uber Eats?

00:30:34 I forgot to mention too, uh, so the chili stream we're going to be doing on Thursday
00:30:38 and then tomorrow we're finally doing it.
00:30:41 The pancake bet.
00:30:43 Five o'clock central.
00:30:45 We will be going into the gambling cave.
00:30:47 You can watch it on all of our channels.
00:30:48 We'll be live for the entire night slate and we will be not leaving until memes finishes
00:30:55 his pancakes, right?
00:30:57 Unless someone is so bad that memes laps them.
00:31:01 Yeah.
00:31:02 Has to do 24.
00:31:03 So I have 12 big cat.
00:31:05 You have six Hank light work zero zero.
00:31:09 Remember comedy.
00:31:10 Yeah, that's right.
00:31:11 That's right.
00:31:12 Yeah.
00:31:13 So wash memes.
00:31:14 You don't strike me as much of an eater.
00:31:15 I can eat.
00:31:17 Oh, are you going to lap somebody?
00:31:19 I've been watching Matt Stoney videos.
00:31:21 Okay.
00:31:22 Pancakes.
00:31:23 He ate like 118 in eight minutes.
00:31:26 I'm a little worried though, memes because I've, he might be the goat.
00:31:29 Matt Stoney, Joey Chestnut is the hot dog goat, but Stoney's like a career across multiple
00:31:37 foods is undeniable.
00:31:38 Okay.
00:31:39 I am not very familiar with Matt Stoney's work.
00:31:42 I went to a cake eating competition with Caleb once and he ate a lot of cake and then like
00:31:48 a strip mall.
00:31:49 I love it.
00:31:50 They're always in the worst.
00:31:51 Maybe, maybe 50 people watching.
00:31:53 Yeah.
00:31:54 They're always in the worst spots.
00:31:55 I'm going to watch this video because I have been sensing and this is just a little bit
00:31:59 of a feeling.
00:32:00 Oh, hey, you're right.
00:32:01 I don't want to go down.
00:32:02 Yeah.
00:32:03 Drinking problem.
00:32:04 Water.
00:32:05 Matt Stoney pound that water.
00:32:07 Memes has lost a little bit of his dog, the dog in him.
00:32:10 So I'm worried about this pancake stream for him.
00:32:13 Why doesn't have as much dog?
00:32:14 You don't think?
00:32:15 Why not?
00:32:16 Uh, just based off pickup basketball.
00:32:18 I was screaming at him on Friday.
00:32:20 We're on the same team and he just wasn't, he was so passive and I was like, you're fucking
00:32:24 good at basketball, dude.
00:32:26 Shoot.
00:32:27 Go to the hoop.
00:32:28 He just was like, I don't know.
00:32:29 I don't know what's wrong with me.
00:32:30 And I looked in his eyes and he had no dog left.
00:32:32 I think memes might be the most underrated, unexpected athlete of all time.
00:32:36 He's got great Euro stuff.
00:32:38 Yeah.
00:32:39 Memes.
00:32:40 What would you say to the people saying you don't have dog left in you?
00:32:42 I'd say watch the stream.
00:32:44 Oh, I'm just going to pounds of pancakes.
00:32:47 How many, how many hours?
00:32:48 Set it over under.
00:32:49 Are you going to beat max?
00:32:50 Uh, maybe.
00:32:51 Yes.
00:32:52 How many hours?
00:32:53 I'm going to set three, three hours.
00:32:56 What?
00:32:57 So you're, so in three hours you're gonna eat 21 pancakes.
00:32:59 Yeah.
00:33:00 Wow.
00:33:01 Okay.
00:33:02 I'm a cat.
00:33:03 I'm watching my calories so I wouldn't hate the taking the six hours.
00:33:06 Get as, as little.
00:33:07 Well that doesn't make it.
00:33:08 Well I guess you'd be eat less.
00:33:10 Yeah.
00:33:11 Yeah.
00:33:12 Well that's kind of a pussy way to do it.
00:33:13 I mean I'm, I'm trying, I'm trying to get strong.
00:33:16 People around here, people around here are pissed about it.
00:33:18 Max was in the gym crew this morning.
00:33:19 I saw him 8am.
00:33:20 Oh really?
00:33:21 Yeah.
00:33:22 KB's teaching them how to lift.
00:33:23 Oh, I love that.
00:33:24 Are we doing, are we doing Olympic style?
00:33:25 Uh, I don't know.
00:33:26 I, KB was teaching him how to bench press.
00:33:29 That's not true.
00:33:30 I watched.
00:33:31 That's not true.
00:33:32 We didn't even bench.
00:33:33 We didn't even bench this morning.
00:33:34 Bench yesterday.
00:33:35 Oh, two days in a row.
00:33:36 Fuck yes.
00:33:37 Yeah.
00:33:38 No, I mean, I got my fit.
00:33:41 No free ads.
00:33:42 Jason Kelsey said that he was doing my fitness pal and counting calories.
00:33:45 So that's kind of why I decided to do it.
00:33:47 Oh, that's beautiful.
00:33:48 I did that once.
00:33:49 That's great.
00:33:50 That's great.
00:33:51 Hank, how's dunking going?
00:33:52 Uh, it's good.
00:33:53 I'm, I'm basically started this week or last week.
00:33:56 You basically started this week or last week?
00:33:59 What is basically started mean?
00:34:00 I have a program, uh, and I ordered a bunch of equipment.
00:34:03 Some of it's here, not all of it's here.
00:34:05 So not everything on the program I can do, but I've been going through the most, a lot
00:34:09 of jump rope.
00:34:11 Uh, I'm talking to a trainer next week to get my baseline on what my vertical is.
00:34:15 Corey G?
00:34:16 Uh, I'm talking to Corey G, but I think we're getting help from, uh, optimum nutrition.
00:34:21 Oh, okay.
00:34:22 Nice.
00:34:23 So will we give the ad money back when you can't dunk?
00:34:26 No, we should probably write that in the contract cause I don't want to, I don't want to sell
00:34:30 them something that is not going to happen.
00:34:32 I even forget what the terms of the bets were.
00:34:34 Like how much money do you owe?
00:34:36 It doesn't matter.
00:34:37 He's not going to dunk.
00:34:38 It's like 2000 if I do it, 800 if I lose it.
00:34:40 That's not right.
00:34:41 That's not it at all.
00:34:42 Something like that.
00:34:44 I'm pretty sure it's 10 and five, 10 K and five K. I think it might be 20.
00:34:49 20 and 10?
00:34:50 No.
00:34:51 Yeah, it might be 20 and 10.
00:34:52 Yeah.
00:34:53 Yeah.
00:34:54 And what he could, he could, he could hit all the threes.
00:34:56 You get a 25 threes in a row.
00:34:58 That's true.
00:34:59 Tune into PMTV this week.
00:35:01 Don't tune in.
00:35:02 I have a very bad visual.
00:35:03 Don't tune in.
00:35:04 Turns out, um, don't we're not in shape and we probably wouldn't last long.
00:35:08 Wow.
00:35:09 Fuck.
00:35:10 I was going to say we wouldn't last long on a Rick Pitino team.
00:35:13 Nope.
00:35:14 We can't say that.
00:35:15 Damn it.
00:35:16 Damn it.
00:35:17 Oh, the stalker did text me just an update.
00:35:20 People were wondering what happened.
00:35:23 Let's see.
00:35:24 Stalker, stalker, stalker.
00:35:28 He said, congratulations.
00:35:30 You went over my head and right to the big guy.
00:35:32 Don't think this is over between us.
00:35:34 You glossed over the horrible things you've said and hurt my relationship with coach.
00:35:37 It's personal.
00:35:38 Now you claim to come clean, but where your typical coward self tick tock, tick tock,
00:35:43 tick tock, come clean.
00:35:45 I'm not going to make it.
00:35:46 I'm not going to say it.
00:35:47 He said it.
00:35:48 We didn't.
00:35:49 I'm not going to say this.
00:35:50 He's a Rick Pitino hater.
00:35:51 A little bit.
00:35:52 He's like setting us up for these jokes.
00:35:53 Guess what?
00:35:54 Come clean, tick tock.
00:35:55 I'm not going to go there.
00:35:56 We're not going to fall for it, buddy.
00:35:58 We're Rick Pitino's guys.
00:35:59 And you know what?
00:36:00 If this guy wants us to meet somewhere, because I'd like to settle his hash for apparently
00:36:04 going against coach.
00:36:05 This guy sounds like he's a hater.
00:36:07 Yeah, I agree.
00:36:08 How about that?
00:36:09 Hank, you want to give us your final patriot number seven?
00:36:14 And it's the end of the dynasty documentary this Friday, right?
00:36:17 Yeah.
00:36:18 Yeah, that'll be it.
00:36:20 The Bill Belichick hit piece.
00:36:22 It's got to finish in a certain way.
00:36:23 It's going to finish just terrible for Bill Belichick.
00:36:26 My guess is that they're going to start by showing two minutes of the Ram Super Bowl,
00:36:31 maybe less.
00:36:32 It was very boring.
00:36:34 It's going to be like, "Oh, we won another Super Bowl," and then just go into drama,
00:36:37 which is again-
00:36:38 The breakup?
00:36:40 Kind of ridiculous, but it'll be very breakup focused.
00:36:43 I want to know what the Malcolm Butler thing is, or whatever decision that it says, like
00:36:47 Belichick divides the locker room with a questionable decision.
00:36:51 Oh yeah, because I guess that is the next game.
00:36:55 So it'll be-
00:36:56 Yeah, it'll be the loss.
00:36:57 It'll be way more time will be spent on the Eagles loss than the Rams win, which is nonsense.
00:37:02 Brady had one of the best Super Bowl performances of all time, so I'm sure they'll highlight
00:37:06 that.
00:37:07 In which game?
00:37:08 So that's what they're going to do.
00:37:09 He did have like 500 yards.
00:37:10 Brady, he had like 500 yards.
00:37:11 How did Nick Foles do in that game?
00:37:13 And also, Nick Foles caught a pass Brady didn't.
00:37:15 But they're going to basically say that Brady played out of his mind.
00:37:18 He had an unbelievable performance.
00:37:20 Except for catching a pass.
00:37:21 The reason they lost is because Belichick benched Malcolm Butler, which might be true.
00:37:26 Andy fumbled.
00:37:27 Andy fumbled.
00:37:28 But they're not, they're going to focus, listen Max, you're not listening.
00:37:32 Yeah, listen Max.
00:37:33 They're going to shape the documentary like Brady played out of his mind, the Patriots
00:37:36 lost because of Belichick.
00:37:37 Then they're going to be like, "And we won a Super Bowl the next year," and then it's
00:37:41 going to be all drama.
00:37:42 I haven't watched a single one of these.
00:37:44 I will probably tune into that one.
00:37:45 Yeah, you got to.
00:37:46 You got to.
00:37:47 So, Hank, we're going to do seven right now, so your 10 will be complete.
00:37:53 And then they actually released these documentaries, I think Thursday nights.
00:37:57 We're going to be here late Thursday night.
00:37:59 So Friday we'll start the post-documentary top 10.
00:38:04 Okay.
00:38:05 We're done with this.
00:38:09 We should do-
00:38:10 Don't worry, AWL, this is it.
00:38:11 We should do one where it's like Hank's biggest mistakes, leaving these people out.
00:38:16 All right, go ahead Hank.
00:38:19 Adam Venditari.
00:38:20 Oh!
00:38:21 Yeah, this was the one, again, I said after watching it, I wish I probably would have
00:38:26 changed some things, but he won the Raiders game, won two Super Bowls, most clutch kicker
00:38:33 of all time.
00:38:34 But if he doesn't go in the Hall of Fame as a Patriot, then that changes everything.
00:38:38 So I got pushback.
00:38:39 Yeah, it would feel personal.
00:38:40 I'm saying that just because there was a Colts fan who was like, he played more games for
00:38:44 the Colts and he broke the record with the Colts.
00:38:49 But if you think about why Adam Venditari is getting into the Super Bowl, obviously
00:38:53 his longevity is incredible, three Super Bowls, all that.
00:38:56 It's the Raiders kick and the Rams kick.
00:38:59 Those are the kicks.
00:39:00 Yeah.
00:39:01 And he had a game winner against the Panthers.
00:39:02 Yeah, game winner against the Panthers.
00:39:04 And I think he had two kicks against the Raiders, right?
00:39:07 Yeah, to go into overtime and in overtime.
00:39:09 Yeah, he's got the more iconic moments, but then the way that he was talking, like he
00:39:14 might be the one that-
00:39:15 He hates them, yeah.
00:39:16 He might have given the football.
00:39:17 He might have told the Colts, if you get your hands on a football, keep it and measure the
00:39:21 air pressure.
00:39:22 Yeah, it seemed that way.
00:39:24 Yeah.
00:39:25 It seemed that way.
00:39:26 So you got a rat on your list.
00:39:28 Yeah, I would change it if I could, but the list has been locked in for before I watched
00:39:33 an episode of the documentary.
00:39:35 That's true.
00:39:36 So we'll get the-
00:39:37 Man of integrity.
00:39:38 Honorable mention.
00:39:39 I'm Matthew Slater.
00:39:40 Oh, nice.
00:39:41 Fair.
00:39:42 Give a little shout out.
00:39:43 Okay.
00:39:44 Good job, Hank.
00:39:45 Before we do Hot Seat, Cool Throne, I feel like we should talk about this now.
00:39:49 I let you guys know a week and a half ago that this was a possibility, and it seems
00:39:54 like the New York Times is about to report on it, so I wanted to scoop the New York Times,
00:39:58 so I just tweeted, or excuse me, my dead dog Leroy just tweeted it out.
00:40:04 Aaron Rodgers might run for vice president.
00:40:05 I still don't understand.
00:40:06 When you told it to me two weeks ago, I processed it, and then I was like, "That doesn't make
00:40:12 any sense."
00:40:13 But I'm not saying that you're wrong.
00:40:15 I'm saying I still just don't understand it.
00:40:17 It's going to be hilarious if it does happen.
00:40:18 But how?
00:40:19 There's no way.
00:40:21 How?
00:40:22 How?
00:40:23 So he's being considered and is considering the opportunity right now.
00:40:27 So the answer is he won't.
00:40:28 So the second the story breaks, he will say he's not doing it.
00:40:32 I don't know.
00:40:33 So he just wants people to think, he wants it to be known that he was considered.
00:40:38 Maybe, but I'm just, I'm allowing my mind to go further down the rabbit hole and think
00:40:43 about how funny it would be.
00:40:44 But he's going to play football.
00:40:45 That's the PFT in you.
00:40:47 If he has to leave practice to attend a debate, or if he has to miss the AFC championship
00:40:54 game because he's getting inaugurated.
00:40:56 But he wouldn't do that.
00:40:57 He would play football.
00:40:59 Probably, yes.
00:41:00 That's the part that just like he would.
00:41:02 He just wants everyone to know that he was being considered is what it boils down to.
00:41:06 What if he quits football?
00:41:07 I don't think he's quitting football.
00:41:09 Meme said no.
00:41:10 Yeah, I mean, he's got unfinished business.
00:41:12 Yeah.
00:41:13 I mean, he almost quit for Jeopardy, but he wouldn't quit football for a bid at vice president
00:41:18 that will never win in a million years.
00:41:20 He doesn't think that.
00:41:21 I think he has at least a little sense.
00:41:24 What are the chances?
00:41:25 What would be the chances?
00:41:26 I'll just say I would consider like point 0001%.
00:41:30 Did they say that about Trump?
00:41:33 This is not.
00:41:34 He's not in one of the parties.
00:41:36 We don't have.
00:41:37 RKK is not a party.
00:41:38 No.
00:41:39 RKK.
00:41:40 RKK.
00:41:41 He's going to be an independent.
00:41:42 Yeah, he's not.
00:41:44 I wish that there was a chance.
00:41:46 I wish there was a chance that we'd have three parties, but we don't.
00:41:49 It sucks.
00:41:50 Yeah, there shouldn't be any parties.
00:41:51 The Green Party.
00:41:53 Ralph Nader.
00:41:54 He's running on independent and it would be.
00:41:56 I'm considering voting for RFK Jr. and Aaron Rodgers just because it would make this show
00:42:01 so much better.
00:42:02 It would be so awesome if all next football season Aaron was like attending campaign rallies
00:42:08 and shit, skipping practice.
00:42:09 Your brain is gone on this.
00:42:10 I thought RFK was a factor.
00:42:13 What would you say the chances are PFT?
00:42:15 You're you.
00:42:16 They talk about him all the time.
00:42:17 It's got to be.
00:42:18 Of him winning?
00:42:19 Yeah.
00:42:20 Zero.
00:42:21 He's not going to win.
00:42:22 Yeah.
00:42:23 They get nothing.
00:42:24 They get diddly shit.
00:42:25 The real question would be who would he take more votes away from?
00:42:28 Right.
00:42:29 Would he take more votes away from Trump?
00:42:30 I don't know, but whoever.
00:42:31 It's basically you just get to complain with either side.
00:42:34 Why doesn't he just squad up with the Repubbies?
00:42:38 Because Trump's running.
00:42:39 So?
00:42:40 So, that's who they're going to.
00:42:41 You can't have two.
00:42:42 You can't have two.
00:42:43 You can't have two.
00:42:44 You can't have two.
00:42:45 Two presidents.
00:42:46 So, actually, voting for RFK, Aaron Rodgers potentially, it would be interesting because
00:42:50 then you could just complain no matter what happened.
00:42:52 You'd be like, "I didn't vote for either one of these guys."
00:42:54 Yeah, I voted for the quarterback.
00:42:55 Yeah.
00:42:56 I just don't think he's going to quit football, but then I do think it would crush memes.
00:43:02 Memes would lose all his dog.
00:43:03 Yeah.
00:43:04 That would be so fun.
00:43:05 That would be the old Yeller moment for memes.
00:43:08 That would be beyond the pale for Jets fans.
00:43:11 We finally have a quarterback.
00:43:12 Imagine running into a debate with a flag out of the top.
00:43:13 Yeah, now I'm actually believing it.
00:43:14 Now I'm actually believing it just because of the Jets factor.
00:43:17 Yeah, that would be the final boss for Jets sadness.
00:43:20 It's like, "We finally got our quarterback.
00:43:22 Oh shit, he hurt his foot in the first five minutes of a game.
00:43:27 That's okay, he's coming back next year.
00:43:28 We finally have our quarterback.
00:43:29 Oh shit, he's running for vice president."
00:43:31 Yeah.
00:43:32 Yeah, no, the Jets factor does make this a reason that it could happen.
00:43:36 You can't see a Rodgers press conference where he gets super serious and he's like, "At
00:43:40 the end of the day, this is just football.
00:43:42 I have a chance to change the world."
00:43:43 Yeah, no, I'm changing my tune just because I forgot the Jets part.
00:43:46 The Jets part, like Jets are in search of eternal sadness and this would be the funniest
00:43:51 story arc.
00:43:52 Okay, well we'll see.
00:43:53 We'll see.
00:43:54 You know, who knows if it's true or if it's actually going to happen, but I was just told
00:43:59 that the New York Times is about to do it, so fuck them.
00:44:01 I'm going to do it first.
00:44:02 Keep sports out of politics.
00:44:04 Keep politics out of sports.
00:44:05 No.
00:44:06 Oh yeah, sports-
00:44:07 Keep sports out of politics.
00:44:08 Stick to politics.
00:44:09 Yeah, right.
00:44:10 What if the New York Times doesn't report this?
00:44:12 Well, then we did.
00:44:14 Then we did.
00:44:15 Then we mega scooped them.
00:44:16 Yes.
00:44:17 All right, let's do Hot Seat Cool Throne and then we'll get to both of our interviews.
00:44:21 Hot Seat Cool Throne brought to you by our friends at Coors Light.
00:44:23 From day-to-day annoyances to the big stuff life throws your way, it's easy to get worked
00:44:27 up, but there's a better way, a chiller way.
00:44:30 Turn that canceled concert into a parking lot dance party.
00:44:32 Too cold for an ocean swim?
00:44:35 Play volleyball and light a bonfire instead.
00:44:37 That's choosing chill, and when you choose chill, reach for a Coors Light.
00:44:41 When the mountains turn blue, it's as cold as the Rockies.
00:44:44 When you choose to rise above it all, choose chill, choose Coors Light.
00:44:47 Get Coors Light delivered straight to your door with Instacart by going to coorslight.com/take.
00:44:54 Celebrate responsibly.
00:44:55 Coors Brewing Company, Golden, Colorado.
00:44:58 Coorslight.com/take.
00:44:59 Hank.
00:45:00 My hot seat is spelling.
00:45:03 Uh-oh.
00:45:04 Kobe Bryant.
00:45:05 Oh yeah.
00:45:06 Statue honoring his 81 point game.
00:45:08 It has on the statue engraved basically the lineups and the player stats and stuff, minutes,
00:45:16 points, assists, everything.
00:45:17 They spelled Von Wafer, Vom Wafer.
00:45:20 Oh no.
00:45:21 They spelled Jose Calderon, Jose Calderson.
00:45:28 They had two players that said, that did not play for coach's decision.
00:45:31 One spelled decision correctly, and then directly underneath it, they spelled decision D-E-C-I-C-I-O-N.
00:45:38 It would have, it was-
00:45:39 On the statue engraved forever.
00:45:40 Yeah, the minute I saw-
00:45:42 Vom Wafer.
00:45:43 I was like, it would be as if Hank or Bubba had made this statue.
00:45:48 That was what it was.
00:45:49 Yeah.
00:45:50 They entrusted one guy and no one read over it.
00:45:53 When I used to send you or Bubba a synopsis or anything, and we would just fuck up and
00:45:59 write a guest name wrong, and that's what happened.
00:46:02 Yeah, it was very relatable reading where it took up.
00:46:05 Did you not notice that there was a mistake?
00:46:08 Well, it's circled.
00:46:09 That would be funny if Hank's picture was a problem.
00:46:12 Jose Calderson would have been the one that really stood out to me.
00:46:14 Yeah.
00:46:15 Vom Wafer with an M is-
00:46:17 And also, yeah, I mean, rough decision with the two C's.
00:46:20 It sounds like this guy just texted it to the engraver and then just got it all fucked
00:46:24 up.
00:46:25 Yeah.
00:46:26 I mean, my biggest thing has always been if the red line doesn't pop up.
00:46:29 Yeah, just go with it.
00:46:30 Sometimes I spell things and that's also-
00:46:32 But your problem-
00:46:33 I do it a lot where I know technology has probably made me dumber, but I don't know
00:46:40 how to spell restaurant.
00:46:41 I just try and get it close, but then if the suggested thing doesn't show up, I'm fucked.
00:46:45 Yeah, that's an impossible one too.
00:46:47 Restaurant, nobody has ever spelled it correctly on the first try.
00:46:51 You're so bad at spelling that the computer can't figure it out.
00:46:55 Right.
00:46:56 That's great.
00:46:57 The computer's like, "We're trying to help you, dude.
00:47:01 We were built to help you, but we can't help you."
00:47:05 Suggested nothing.
00:47:07 That does happen to me every now and then where it's like you got a long word and you're
00:47:10 just like, "Give me some fucking help, computer."
00:47:12 All right, that's bad.
00:47:14 Okay.
00:47:15 Then my cool throne is Chicago.
00:47:16 We talked about it earlier.
00:47:18 I know everyone listening to this, different settings, different weathers, different places,
00:47:23 but I just want to say that the number one, pretty much every single conversation I had
00:47:28 with anyone that I talked to in the months leading up to moving to Chicago, it was like
00:47:31 I'm moving to Chicago, they say, "Chicago's great.
00:47:33 The winters are terrible."
00:47:34 Like, "Oh man, good luck with the winters."
00:47:36 "Oh, I would love to live in Chicago, but the winters I couldn't do."
00:47:39 You're just tempting this for next winter.
00:47:41 And also we're not out of it yet.
00:47:42 It's 70 degrees outside.
00:47:44 I understand.
00:47:45 It is 70 degrees.
00:47:46 Me and PFT played golf a month ago.
00:47:49 I understand, but first of all, we're not-
00:47:51 And Jake.
00:47:52 We could still get snow.
00:47:54 We're not done.
00:47:55 And second of all, why wouldn't you just ... It's like a no hitter.
00:47:59 It's like a perfect game.
00:48:00 Why wouldn't you just let it go?
00:48:01 It's El Nino too.
00:48:02 Just let it go.
00:48:03 So El Nino's not going to be here next year.
00:48:05 Next winter, we're going to flash forward to this time and it's going to be like a month
00:48:08 of zero degrees.
00:48:09 You're going to be like, "Whoops."
00:48:10 Yeah, but I'm going to be driving-
00:48:11 Why would you do that?
00:48:12 I'm going to be driving a gas car, so global warming's going to really kick in next year.
00:48:15 You spit in the face.
00:48:16 No, I just ... I don't know.
00:48:18 It's been incredible.
00:48:20 There was four bad days and two of them had playoff football on.
00:48:24 And I was in Dallas for all those days.
00:48:26 Oh yeah, that's true.
00:48:27 I came back and it was over.
00:48:28 Yeah.
00:48:29 So I've experienced ... I lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire.
00:48:33 Those were way worse.
00:48:34 It's more people that are ... I'm not scared of the winter here.
00:48:37 That's my point.
00:48:38 All right, just put this on a clip card.
00:48:40 Again, it's El Nino.
00:48:41 There's a documented reason why this winter has been awesome.
00:48:45 Hank doesn't believe in weather.
00:48:46 That's a fact.
00:48:47 I can only speak from experience.
00:48:50 Hank does not believe in weather.
00:48:51 In my experience in Chicago, this winter has been delightful.
00:48:53 It has been incredible.
00:48:54 It's been an incredible winter.
00:48:55 All right, PFT.
00:48:57 My hot seat is Sidney Sweeney's boobs.
00:48:59 Yeah.
00:49:00 On the hot seat firmly, Slate wrote an article about her boobs yesterday.
00:49:03 Max, this will be a note for you, pervert.
00:49:06 The headline was, "It needs to be said, Sidney Sweeney's boobs are not that big."
00:49:13 And right now, as we speak, it's got an all-time community notes on it.
00:49:16 The community notes just reads, "Yes, they are."
00:49:19 Yeah.
00:49:20 It's on their Instagram page.
00:49:21 Love that.
00:49:22 Slate spent 2,000 words talking about how they're actually not that big in the global
00:49:25 scale of things.
00:49:27 I don't care.
00:49:28 Let us enjoy things, Slate.
00:49:29 Yeah.
00:49:30 Let us enjoy it.
00:49:31 We weren't harming anyone.
00:49:32 This was fun.
00:49:33 We were all enjoying a good piece of anatomy, and then they have to get in and mansplain
00:49:39 to us.
00:49:40 In the history of the internet, this has to be the number one lamest well actually of
00:49:44 all time.
00:49:45 It probably is.
00:49:46 There's someone sitting in Slate, and they're like, "Actually, fucking Sweden has bigger
00:49:53 boobs.
00:49:54 Shut the fuck up."
00:49:55 I think in the article, it said there were 34 double Ds.
00:49:57 Which I guess- Seems big.
00:49:58 I guess you just have publicly available stats of boobs now on celebrities.
00:50:01 That also seems big.
00:50:02 It's like we all know KD is 6'10".
00:50:05 Everyone knows Sidney Sweeney is a 34 double D.
00:50:07 Sure.
00:50:08 And they were like, "Well, lots of women have bra sizes and cup sizes that are in the
00:50:13 34 double G category."
00:50:15 I don't care.
00:50:16 Sidney Sweeney's got nice boobs.
00:50:19 Let us say that Sidney Sweeney has nice boobs.
00:50:22 Slate sucks.
00:50:23 Put a note on Slate.
00:50:25 We're going to give them a takey.
00:50:26 Worst take.
00:50:27 Worst well actually of all time.
00:50:28 Yeah, but maybe the best well actually, actually to them.
00:50:32 Yes, they are.
00:50:35 And then my cool throne, I've got a couple on my cool throne.
00:50:38 Cool throne is the players.
00:50:39 The players is back.
00:50:41 Sawgrass is back.
00:50:42 Oh.
00:50:43 It's the players this week.
00:50:44 And I don't know, I feel like they might actually be on the hot seat because it feels like Scotty
00:50:49 Scheffler.
00:50:50 It feels like Scheffler season with a new putter.
00:50:52 But I'm going to enjoy watching the players championship this week.
00:50:54 It's going to be good.
00:50:55 It's awesome because-
00:50:56 I mean, it's impossible to watch this weekend.
00:50:58 I agree.
00:50:59 It's not impossible.
00:51:00 With a bunch of TVs, you can.
00:51:03 You get one on the golf.
00:51:05 Also, mornings.
00:51:06 There's not going to be one on the golf on Friday.
00:51:10 Definitely not one on the golf on Friday.
00:51:12 Probably not one on the golf on Saturday.
00:51:13 Mornings.
00:51:14 Maybe one on the golf on Sunday.
00:51:15 Yeah.
00:51:16 Sunday's good because there's that little bit of lull until selection.
00:51:19 But definitely no golf Friday or Saturday.
00:51:21 PFT also-
00:51:22 I wish it was a different weekend.
00:51:23 I was thinking that today.
00:51:24 Yeah.
00:51:25 Players, and I was like, I'm not going to watch any of this.
00:51:26 No, it's not for the championship.
00:51:27 It's also because any player who doesn't birdie 17, you can be like-
00:51:31 I got him.
00:51:32 I got him right where I want him.
00:51:33 Yeah.
00:51:34 It couldn't be me.
00:51:35 Not at all.
00:51:36 Well, we talked to Pete Priske about that.
00:51:37 Maybe a little asterisk on the couldn't be me.
00:51:39 I have something for that.
00:51:40 So that was my hot seat.
00:51:41 I know you have another cool throw in, but real quick because it's golf related.
00:51:44 Jay Moynihan talked to the world today for the first time in a long time.
00:51:49 And he's on the hot seat because this is maybe the funniest non-answer to a very pointed
00:51:54 question.
00:51:55 I'm going to play it for you.
00:51:56 Let me get it up.
00:51:57 Here it is.
00:51:58 Hi, Jay.
00:51:59 At any point over the last nine months, have any of the player directors on the policy
00:52:07 board called on you or any of the independent directors on that board to resign?
00:52:16 You know, there's been a lot of good spirited debate amongst our board.
00:52:25 That's the most obvious yes.
00:52:26 Everyone has asked for my job.
00:52:28 Yeah.
00:52:29 I'm not just say I'm not fucking leaving.
00:52:30 Does anyone want you fired?
00:52:31 You know, we've had a really good time just chopping it up.
00:52:34 Talked about it.
00:52:35 Disagree a lot.
00:52:36 There's been a wide variety of opinions on that very subject.
00:52:41 I have one and everyone else has a different opinion, but it's spirited debate.
00:52:45 That's what this country is built on.
00:52:47 What was your other cool throne?
00:52:48 My other cool throne is Boeing.
00:52:49 Boeing's on the cool throne because the whistleblower against Boeing just offed himself in the car
00:52:53 mysteriously before giving testimony.
00:52:55 Yeah.
00:52:56 Allegedly.
00:52:57 It's bad.
00:52:58 It's bad.
00:52:59 How does that keep happening?
00:53:00 It's bad for Boeing.
00:53:01 They're being investigated by the Department of Justice.
00:53:02 We gave you the tip on part of my take like two months ago, don't fly on a Boeing.
00:53:05 I've flown on like six Boeing since then.
00:53:07 I don't even know how to look up what I'm flying on.
00:53:09 Yeah, but Boeing's in bad shape.
00:53:10 It's an SP-15.
00:53:11 They got people behind the scenes.
00:53:13 He doesn't know.
00:53:14 I know.
00:53:15 I know exactly which plane's a Boeing.
00:53:16 That's a little two man weave right there.
00:53:17 If it caught on fire, then it's a Boeing.
00:53:20 If it's not, then it's an Airbus.
00:53:22 Got it.
00:53:23 But yeah, they're being investigated big time.
00:53:25 There's behind the scenes videos of people that work at Boeing being like, "Yeah, you
00:53:28 know, like most of the planes that are really checked that well."
00:53:31 Walls are closing in for Boeing right now.
00:53:33 Yikes.
00:53:34 Not good.
00:53:35 I think that guy just offed himself because they might skate on this one.
00:53:38 Yeah.
00:53:39 All right.
00:53:40 My hot seat is the Yankees, the Jankies.
00:53:43 Aaron Judge already has an MRI on his stomach.
00:53:46 On his abs.
00:53:47 I was thinking about that, like getting an MRI on your abs.
00:53:50 That's kind of a flex just to say they were able to do an MRI on my abs.
00:53:54 Yeah, but that's Aaron Judge being hurt.
00:53:57 Also Gary Cole.
00:53:58 What happened to him?
00:53:59 He's getting evaluated as well.
00:54:00 All right.
00:54:01 So the Yankees are in the hot seat.
00:54:02 They're fucked.
00:54:03 Yeah, that's never good.
00:54:04 Spring training is ... You just want spring training to happen without ever realizing
00:54:08 it's happening and then opening day happens and you're like, "Everyone survived."
00:54:13 They took the Mets role.
00:54:14 So at least if you're a New York Mets fan, you can be like, "It's the Yankees now.
00:54:18 They're injured."
00:54:19 It's the Yankees.
00:54:20 All right.
00:54:21 My cool throw, and I got two.
00:54:22 One is Stella Blue Mugs.
00:54:23 We got new mugs out.
00:54:24 StellaBlueCoffee.com.
00:54:25 If you see this one, see this?
00:54:27 It's Max, but he's sad and it says, "My bracket is busted."
00:54:31 We got the Make Your Free Throws Just Cover.
00:54:33 Get new mugs.
00:54:34 Go buy some coffee.
00:54:35 You need the coffee.
00:54:36 You need the mugs for March Madness.
00:54:39 So StellaBlueCoffee.com.
00:54:40 My other one is intern season.
00:54:43 So we are going to possibly be hiring a new intern and I really want a Cowboys fan.
00:54:51 That's all I'm going to say.
00:54:52 Yeah, we've been talking-
00:54:53 I want a diehard Cowboys fan.
00:54:54 We've been talking about this for a while.
00:54:55 What's the missing piece?
00:54:56 Hank kind of is a Cowboys fan, but you don't have that same fire.
00:54:59 You don't have that same true belief.
00:55:01 It's already been beaten out of you.
00:55:02 I made a bet two years ago and you guys just pigeonholed me into being a Cowboys fan.
00:55:04 Well, and then you dated Tiffany Gomez.
00:55:07 You got-
00:55:08 It was a coincidence.
00:55:09 You got so despondent over one bad Cowboys loss that there's no chance that you're a
00:55:15 true Cowboys fan because a real Cowboys fan would be like, "Doesn't matter.
00:55:18 Next year."
00:55:19 Yeah, next year.
00:55:20 We're back.
00:55:21 But I would love a Dallas, maybe SEC.
00:55:22 He went to an SEC school, so we get a little of that.
00:55:25 Someone who just really ... Maybe small.
00:55:29 Yeah.
00:55:30 He can be like a Timon and Pumba thing going with Max.
00:55:34 Yeah, it'd be good also if he was-
00:55:36 Jar Jar Tuvvah.
00:55:37 Yeah.
00:55:38 Or she just went to ... They didn't go to college.
00:55:41 They're just nothing but Cowboys.
00:55:42 Yeah.
00:55:43 Maybe Cowboys in Alabama.
00:55:44 Cowboys, Bama, Lakers.
00:55:46 Either way, we are looking for an intern, so-
00:55:49 For the summer.
00:55:50 Cowboys fan for the summer.
00:55:51 For the summer.
00:55:52 Jake, your hot seat, cool throne.
00:55:54 My hot seat is Novak Djokovic.
00:55:55 Yeah.
00:55:56 He's had-
00:55:57 Doesn't count.
00:55:58 Not a real tournament.
00:55:59 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:00 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:01 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:02 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:03 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:04 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:05 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:06 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:07 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:08 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:09 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:10 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:11 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:12 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:13 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:14 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:15 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:16 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:17 He's had a lot of good games.

00:56:39 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:40 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:41 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:42 He's had a lot of good games.

00:56:44 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:45 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:46 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:47 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:48 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:49 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:50 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:51 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:52 He's had a lot of good games.

00:56:54 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:55 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:56 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:57 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:58 He's had a lot of good games.
00:56:59 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:00 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:01 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:02 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:03 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:04 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:05 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:06 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:07 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:08 He's had a lot of good games.

00:57:27 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:28 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:29 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:30 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:31 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:32 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:33 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:34 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:35 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:36 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:37 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:38 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:39 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:40 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:41 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:42 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:43 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:44 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:45 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:46 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:47 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:48 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:49 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:50 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:51 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:52 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:53 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:54 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:55 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:56 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:57 He's had a lot of good games.
00:57:58 He's had a lot of good games.
00:58:00 He somehow posterized Wemba Nyama last night.
00:58:04 Did you guys see this?
00:58:06 Yes.
00:58:07 I don't know if that's...
00:58:08 I feel like everyone gets postered at some point.
00:58:11 But Wemba.
00:58:12 Yeah.
00:58:13 No, I know.
00:58:14 It wasn't just the posterization.
00:58:15 It was the announcer afterwards where he goes, "He just put the entire nation of France into
00:58:19 the basket."
00:58:20 Oof.
00:58:21 That's pretty good.
00:58:22 That is pretty good.
00:58:23 I'm going to watch it.
00:58:24 I feel like posters... guys are just so fucking good now that...
00:58:29 But you rarely see a 7-footer.
00:58:31 Yeah.
00:58:32 No, no.
00:58:33 That one's worth it.
00:58:34 And it was probably his first poster, right?
00:58:35 Probably.
00:58:36 Yeah.
00:58:37 They're both rookies.
00:58:38 Okay.
00:58:39 So one minute ago in the New York Times, "RFK Jr. has recently approached the NFL quarterback
00:58:42 Aaron Rodgers and former Minnesota governor and professional wrestler-
00:58:45 Oh, but he didn't dunk the ball.
00:58:46 ... Jesse Ventura about serving as his running mate.
00:58:49 Mr. Kennedy confirmed on Tuesday that the two men were at the top of his list."
00:58:53 So this is a layup.
00:58:54 So this is Rodgers.
00:58:55 Old poster.
00:58:56 Rodgers doesn't rev in two conversations at the same time.
00:59:00 Yeah, I don't-
00:59:02 Wait, so what I heard, half heard was-
00:59:04 It's exactly what I said.
00:59:05 ... they've had a conversation like, "Drunk.
00:59:07 Hey, bro.
00:59:08 Be my-
00:59:09 RFK wants it to be known that he likes Aaron Rodgers, and Aaron Rodgers probably is like,
00:59:12 "Yeah, you can say that you were going to ask me."
00:59:14 Again, I just don't know how it would work.
00:59:17 Mr. Kennedy said that he had been speaking with Mr. Rodgers pretty continuously for the
00:59:21 past month.
00:59:22 So it sounds like there's mutual interest there.
00:59:24 And I don't think it's going anywhere.
00:59:26 Well, actually, no, the Jets.
00:59:27 The Jets.
00:59:28 The Jets.
00:59:29 Yeah, he's his running mate.
00:59:30 It's facts.
00:59:31 You're right.
00:59:32 He had it first.
00:59:33 No, no.
00:59:34 Leroy had it first.
00:59:35 Well, you told me first.
00:59:36 No, Leroy told me to tell you first.
00:59:37 Got it.
00:59:38 And you did have it like two weeks ago.
00:59:40 Please credit Leroy.
00:59:41 Yeah.
00:59:42 Okay, let's get to our interviews.
00:59:43 Let's do Johnny Fanta, and then we got Pete Prisco talking some NFL.
00:59:46 PFT, you got a quick word from one of our sponsors?
00:59:50 Yes, before we get to Johnny Fanta, he's brought to you by Sport Clips.
00:59:53 Your hair might grow fast, but after going to Sport Clips haircuts, you wish that it
00:59:57 grew even faster.
00:59:58 That's because Sport Clips has the best seats and hair that may or may not be because they
01:00:02 happen to be right in front of TVs playing sports all day, every day.
01:00:06 We know that watching sports while getting a haircut sure beats watching your reflection
01:00:10 get a haircut, which is why at Sport Clips, every day is clippers and curve balls, high
01:00:13 tops and hail marys, even waves and wickets if you're into that sort of thing.
01:00:18 At Sport Clips, you can check in with the pros and men's hair and totally check out
01:00:21 with pure, uninterrupted relaxation.
01:00:24 So yeah, come watch an endless stream of sports on TV while getting an awesome haircut.
01:00:28 Sport Clips, it's a game changer.
01:00:30 And now, here's Johnny Fanta.
01:00:32 Okay, we now welcome on our very good friend.
01:00:36 It is Johnny Fanta, the man, the myth, the legend.
01:00:40 You can find him doing the biggies, covering the biggies tournament in New York all week.
01:00:48 By the way, Johnny Fanta, I have to just say, we did a Rick Pitino stamina shooting drill
01:00:54 two seconds ago, so that's why my brain is a little flustered and I look like I'm breathing
01:00:57 heavy and I'm sweating.
01:00:59 But you are the best.
01:01:01 You cover all college basketball, but the Big East is your thing.
01:01:05 We're going to talk all the college tournaments, conference championship this week, but I want
01:01:09 to start with the Big East, your bread and butter.
01:01:12 UConn, anyone beating them?
01:01:16 Again, I want to say no.
01:01:20 And last year, remember, we all were ahead of the curve here, right here on PMT.
01:01:26 We say UConn could be that team that makes that run.
01:01:29 Yes, credit to us.
01:01:31 But exactly, credit to you guys.
01:01:33 But for the sake of being different, let's go through the potential roadmap here this
01:01:38 week at the Big East tournament.
01:01:40 For the record, Connecticut, in my eyes, is the best team in the country.
01:01:44 They're the front runner for the national championship and they should be.
01:01:49 The three losses are at Kansas to Seton Hall.
01:01:54 Klingon got hurt during the game and then Creighton had another worldly shooting performance.
01:01:58 But what's interesting about this Big East tournament is we could get Friday night at
01:02:04 Madison Square Garden, UConn, provided they beat either Xavier or Butler, they will, I
01:02:09 think, and then either St. John's or Seton Hall.
01:02:13 If it's Rick Pitino versus Dan Hurley, Friday night at the Garden, that is-
01:02:19 That's must watch.
01:02:20 That's must watch.
01:02:21 I like that.
01:02:22 And we also have, in the first round, the Cooley Bowl, part two?
01:02:26 No, part three.
01:02:27 Part three.
01:02:28 I know you're a friend of Ed Cooley, but Providence has floundered recently.
01:02:35 Is Ed Cooley feel like...
01:02:36 I mean, Georgetown's not been good this year.
01:02:38 They don't have their guys.
01:02:39 But there will be bad blood and that's what the Big East tournament's about.
01:02:43 So you got to be excited for another Cooley Bowl.
01:02:45 Well, Wednesday, yes, I am excited for another Cooley Bowl.
01:02:48 I'm excited for Wednesday night because typically Wednesday at the Big East tournament involves
01:02:53 a DePaul game, which Wednesday does, DePaul playing Villanova.
01:02:57 That's not much.
01:02:58 It's a crowd watching experience to the few people that wear DePaul gear.
01:03:03 But it's Xavier and Butler, but then that Cooley Bowl's the headliner.
01:03:07 Here's the thing.
01:03:08 There has never been more vitriol.
01:03:11 There's never been more of a sideshow with a coaching move in the history of college
01:03:16 basketball for my money than there is with this one here.
01:03:19 Because you got a Providence fan base that is so passionate for their Friars, that is
01:03:24 all about you got to be one of us, you're one of us, you're either for us or against
01:03:29 us.
01:03:30 And on the other side, you have a guy that leaves for another school within the league.
01:03:36 That's never happened.
01:03:37 And his team's won two games.
01:03:39 Two Big East wins.
01:03:41 But guys, everything tells me this is not just going to be another Georgetown type of
01:03:46 game where they go down losing.
01:03:49 This to me is going to provide drama on day one of the Big East tournament.
01:03:53 Providence has to win.
01:03:54 They have to win to stay alive.
01:03:56 They're on the bubble.
01:03:57 They're just on the outside looking in.
01:03:58 They need two wins in the Big East tournament.
01:04:00 What would it be if Georgetown spoils that for the Friars, Providence better win this
01:04:06 game.
01:04:07 Devon Carter's been the best player in the Big East all season.
01:04:09 I expect him to will Providence to the finish line, get a date with Creighton and that sets
01:04:14 up an interest interesting Thursday night.
01:04:16 I like it though.
01:04:17 I like the bad blood.
01:04:18 It is really, it's good for the sport.
01:04:19 It's good for the league.
01:04:21 Yeah.
01:04:22 It's always been good.
01:04:23 Like it's, it's not supposed to be.
01:04:25 That's the thing with Patino and you guys had him on like, that's what makes the Big
01:04:29 East what people like in college basketball.
01:04:33 It's good to have some dislike.
01:04:35 We're not supposed to be soft here.
01:04:37 Okay.
01:04:38 March is a time like here's the deal.
01:04:40 No matter what side you fall on with LSU in South Carolina on Sunday, we were all talking
01:04:45 about it.
01:04:46 Yep.
01:04:47 I'm okay with fighting.
01:04:48 I'm okay with a little arguing.
01:04:49 You're not supposed to like each other.
01:04:51 Let's get after it here this March.
01:04:52 I don't mind it.
01:04:53 If I see a steel chair, we see a steel chair.
01:04:56 Let's go.
01:04:57 I love that.
01:04:58 I love that.
01:04:59 March is yeah, it's not for, it's for hard people.
01:05:00 It's a hard month for hard people.
01:05:01 Put your big boy pants on.
01:05:03 Speaking of big boys and pants, Max's Villanova Wildcats.
01:05:07 Do you give them, how many games do they have to win to get an at large bid?
01:05:12 Well, I'm a big boy and I'll have pants on this week.
01:05:16 And you know, Villanova Max, I'm going to tell you right now, it's now or never here.
01:05:22 Yeah.
01:05:23 I don't like your body language right now.
01:05:24 Yeah, I know.
01:05:25 I'm, it's like, this is like the conversation between, you know, dad and the kids when things
01:05:30 haven't been going exactly throughout the week when you come home and you know, it's
01:05:35 Wednesday and somehow the whole box of Snyder's pretzels has gone by Wednesday, but he did
01:05:40 shop.
01:05:41 They did shopping for the whole week.
01:05:43 You're out of food in the pantry.
01:05:44 So here's the deal, Max.
01:05:46 It feels like your pantry is running low right now.
01:05:48 Okay.
01:05:49 So it's time for those pants to get expanded here and for Villanova to, to show that they've
01:05:56 got something left in the tank.
01:05:58 At the end of the day for Villanova, you got to go out, you got to beat the Paul and you
01:06:02 got to show up Thursday against Marquette who very light, who still very well could
01:06:06 not have Tyler Cola.
01:06:08 Yeah.
01:06:09 Cola's got an oblique injury.
01:06:11 If Colic doesn't play no excuses, Villanova, you better win this game or there's going
01:06:16 to have to be serious questions asked of this coaching staff off the season.
01:06:20 This roster was worth a couple million dollars, $3 million roster.
01:06:27 If they miss the NCAA tournament, that is an abject failure.
01:06:31 They got to win on Thursday over Marquette, especially if Cola doesn't play guys, he's
01:06:34 got an oblique injury.
01:06:36 I think Marquette might hang it.
01:06:37 Hold onto him for the NCAA tournament.
01:06:39 This season for Marquette was always about making a deep NCAA tournament run.
01:06:43 Fun fact, shock us.
01:06:45 Smart has not made it to the second weekend of the NCAA tournament guys since VCU.
01:06:51 That's it.
01:06:52 Wow.
01:06:53 That's the, that's the only time he's ever made a run.
01:06:57 So some would argue fade Marquette is shocker going to be able to break through.
01:07:02 He needs a healthy Cola to do that.
01:07:04 I don't see Cola playing in this big East tournament that could change.
01:07:07 He could decide I'm going to play and ride it out.
01:07:10 If he does, that's tough for Villanova, but Nova better win two games in the big East
01:07:13 tournament.
01:07:14 Two games for, he threw down the gauntlet because the Paul doesn't count as a win.
01:07:20 No, no.
01:07:21 I'm not sure what the Paul counts for right now.
01:07:23 Yeah.
01:07:24 I've been saying it all week.
01:07:25 Got to beat Marquette.
01:07:26 I wish we were playing crate and I think we match up better against Creighton, but if
01:07:30 Colts not, I thought Colt was going to play.
01:07:32 So I like you think I told you it wasn't max.
01:07:35 Listen to me.
01:07:36 I told you it wasn't going to play.
01:07:37 You guys, did you guys ever like growing up as high school or college?
01:07:41 Like when you were that age, did you ever get swindled into one of those knives presentations?
01:07:45 Oh, Coco.
01:07:46 I had some friends that did cook.
01:07:48 I was more of a show up to a timeshare presentation.
01:07:50 Take the free tickets for medieval times and then just leave.
01:07:53 Yeah, that was my thing.
01:07:54 This particular season playing to Paul's like a cutco presentation.
01:07:57 Yeah, yeah.
01:07:58 It's brutal.
01:07:59 They're, they're very, very bad.
01:08:00 All right.
01:08:01 So, uh, that's big East.
01:08:03 Tell me what conference, uh, tournament you're most excited for outside of big East.
01:08:08 Cause big East is very like thrilling because you not only have Yukon, the best team in
01:08:12 the country, but you also have Providence, St. John's and Villanova all trying to get
01:08:16 themselves off the bubble.
01:08:17 But what conference tournament are you like?
01:08:19 I can't wait to watch this when I'm done covering the big East.
01:08:22 Yeah, I can't wait to watch the sec.
01:08:25 Yeah.
01:08:26 Because I'm rooting for a Kentucky Tennessee round three.
01:08:31 Yes.
01:08:32 Yep.
01:08:33 Yes.
01:08:34 Last year on this show was critical account and said they give me Dallas Cowboys vibes
01:08:39 in general.
01:08:41 I think this is his best chance to now break through and this can be the start of it.
01:08:46 This week for Kentucky is big.
01:08:49 You've got Reed Shepherd, the best freshman in college basketball.
01:08:52 You've got Rob Dillingham Antonio Reeves would be a, would be an all American for me, Kentucky.
01:08:57 This is your time.
01:08:58 Big blue nation.
01:08:59 You've been waiting for this.
01:09:01 There are no excuses for John Calipari.
01:09:03 None.
01:09:04 I like this is the week.
01:09:06 I think this could set up an sec final.
01:09:10 We could get Auburn South Carolina in this tournament.
01:09:12 Lamont Paris is a national coach of the year.
01:09:14 Candidate has done a great job with the game.
01:09:15 Cox, our guy, Bruce Pearl.
01:09:18 He's probably going to have to go up against Tennessee in the semifinals.
01:09:21 I mean, if he advances, that's who he's meeting.
01:09:23 That would be quite the heavyweight fight, but I liked Dalton connect.
01:09:26 I think, I think connect has a chance to be the face of March madness with the way that
01:09:30 he is going with the way that he's scoring the basketball.
01:09:33 We could get Kentucky, Alabama and the sec semis first to 100 wins.
01:09:38 Alabama's not playing an ounce of defense, but I love it.
01:09:40 I want Kentucky, Tennessee round three.
01:09:43 Yeah, I think that'd be good.
01:09:44 That'd be good for the country to watch that.
01:09:46 Is there any chance that don't connect gets national player of the year or is that just
01:09:49 Zach Eadie?
01:09:50 Well, unfortunately for everybody else, not named Zach Eadie, it was locked up the moment
01:09:56 that he said he was coming back to college.
01:09:59 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:10:01 His productivity is just, it's, it's really not, you can't put it fully into perspective.
01:10:07 Like every, and, and whether it's fair or not, like you could call it lazy, but at the
01:10:12 end of the day, we've never seen a guy at his size do what he's done at the college
01:10:16 level.
01:10:17 He, he is get this in my opinion, you guys, I've pushed back on me if you want Jake, whoever
01:10:22 pushed back on me, I think 80s dominance is the most over a span of time that's these
01:10:28 two years since Tyler Hansborough.
01:10:31 Hmm.
01:10:32 Okay.
01:10:33 I'm trying to think Doug McDermott was very good for a long time at Creighton, but that
01:10:38 was, you know, Missouri Valley, the couple of years I love Jim or for that.
01:10:42 Well, so yeah, cause if you're dominant, you don't really, you don't stick around for two
01:10:45 years.
01:10:46 Yeah.
01:10:47 Yeah.
01:10:48 You don't usually stay, you know, multiple years and keep doing it.
01:10:50 Yeah.
01:10:51 Yeah.
01:10:52 I mean, you might be right.
01:10:53 You might be right.
01:10:54 John, I want his pants.
01:10:56 Burrow was an all American all four years of his college career.
01:10:59 Like there are not four year college all Americans anymore.
01:11:02 Nobody does that.
01:11:03 Yeah.
01:11:04 Yeah.
01:11:05 Yeah.
01:11:06 His bro should have played for Duke.
01:11:07 He just always gave me like, he's got the Duke vibe to him.
01:11:08 I liked it though.
01:11:09 Cause he just beat them.
01:11:10 Yeah.
01:11:11 It's like, we got one of your own.
01:11:12 I'm like, I'm crazy.
01:11:13 You know, it's crazy.
01:11:14 Hansborough hates Kentucky more than he hates Duke.
01:11:18 Ooh.
01:11:19 Why?
01:11:20 He can't stand big blue nation.
01:11:21 Okay.
01:11:22 That's a, I didn't expect that nugget, but that was a great nugget.
01:11:26 That's the meanest thing that he could possibly do to Duke.
01:11:28 Yeah, that's true.
01:11:29 Like, I respect that.
01:11:30 I think he actually does hate Duke more, but he has to say that he hates Kentucky more
01:11:34 because he knows how much it's going to piss him off.
01:11:36 It's the, it's the mad men mean.
01:11:37 I don't even think about you.
01:11:38 Yeah, exactly.
01:11:39 Yeah.
01:11:40 Yeah.
01:11:41 I want to talk more to college hoops, but I just, I don't know.
01:11:44 I don't know if the first time you came on the show, we did like a deep dive into the
01:11:48 history behind John Fanta.
01:11:50 I'm just curious, like when you were growing up, were you always a diehard college hoops
01:11:55 fan or were you like a sports fan and this is where you found your lane in broadcasting
01:12:00 or has it always been college hoops?
01:12:02 It's where I found my lane, uh, which, which lane now, now I do some bowling.
01:12:09 Yes.
01:12:10 Yeah.
01:12:11 I used to love bowling.
01:12:12 It was electric.
01:12:13 Did you like it?
01:12:14 Yes.
01:12:15 Absolutely.
01:12:16 Anything you do, I'm in Johnny Fanta.
01:12:17 You know that.
01:12:18 I appreciate that, Dan.
01:12:19 I appreciate that.
01:12:20 I, I gotta tell you what I love about bowling.
01:12:22 Like 10 seconds.
01:12:24 I can't, I could never believe how much booze is being drank.
01:12:28 Yeah.
01:12:29 Yeah.
01:12:30 You ever tried to bowl sober?
01:12:31 It sucks.
01:12:32 Yeah.
01:12:33 You're in a bowling alley.
01:12:34 Yeah.
01:12:35 So how did I get caught on?
01:12:37 Well, so I grew up on the West side of Cleveland and huge Cleveland sports fan still am Browns,
01:12:44 Indians now guardians calves.
01:12:47 You know, when I'm seven, when LeBron's drafted, uh, I remember when, when the calves won the
01:12:52 lottery, but, but Browns, I mean, I'm a huge Browns fan.
01:12:55 There's nothing like a Cleveland Brown Sunday than in Cleveland, Ohio.
01:12:59 And this past season was a, just a miraculous, miraculous season in which Flacco, the guy
01:13:07 I hated growing up leads us to heights.
01:13:11 I've never thought were possible to a season that, you know, sorry to your bears.
01:13:15 I, that's the most, one of the more unbelievable Browns wins I've ever seen in my life.
01:13:19 So between those teams, Jim Tomy was my favorite athlete growing up.
01:13:23 Love that.
01:13:24 He's a great trivia answer to a ton of dingers.
01:13:26 Yep.
01:13:27 He's the best at basketball out of the, out of Jacobs field.
01:13:30 And, uh, Tom Hamilton, Joe Tate, Jim Donovan, the voice, the Browns like Cleveland has great
01:13:35 voices.
01:13:36 So that inspired me like at the age of six, I'm just, I'm looking at these guys on TV.
01:13:40 I'm like, they get to do that.
01:13:42 I played high school football at St. Ignatius in Cleveland.
01:13:46 I was a left guard when the quarterback came into the huddle.
01:13:49 I was on scout team and we were bad varsity team.
01:13:52 So I'm on the JV team.
01:13:53 And when my quarterback came in the huddle, he'd call the play 40, you know, 27 on two
01:13:59 and I was the left guard.
01:14:01 He would audible the 44 on one.
01:14:02 His, his life would flash before his eyes.
01:14:04 I am responsible for two St. Ignatius quarterback separated shoulders.
01:14:08 Yeah.
01:14:09 I've done, they still talk to me.
01:14:12 Got done with sophomore year of high school football.
01:14:15 I go into the coach's office guy by the name of Chuck Kyle, won a ton of games, 11 state
01:14:20 championships.
01:14:21 And he looks at me and he says, you know, I really like you as a person.
01:14:24 He goes, you're, you're a lot better talking about the game then than you are playing it.
01:14:29 That was the best.
01:14:30 That was the most, that was the nicest.
01:14:32 My parents were pissed.
01:14:33 All right.
01:14:34 They were not happy with that news.
01:14:36 When I came home, that was the best advice I could have gotten in high school because
01:14:40 it got me to think, I just got to do everything I can to broadcast this sport.
01:14:44 A year later, guys, it's 25 degrees at Fawcett stadium in Ken, where they play the hall of
01:14:49 fame game.
01:14:51 I'm in the press box in the warmth.
01:14:54 Ignatius wins the state championship and I'm on play by play instead of being on the end
01:14:59 of the bench.
01:15:00 How about that?
01:15:01 Awesome.
01:15:02 That's a great story.
01:15:03 Yeah.
01:15:04 And so you just, you rolled with it at first.
01:15:05 We like, I really want to keep playing football or were you like, he's right.
01:15:08 I'm glad I don't have to do this anymore.
01:15:10 He was right.
01:15:11 And I was tired of running and getting my ass kicked.
01:15:13 Yeah, I was getting my, I was getting my ass kicked airborne at practice.
01:15:17 I couldn't block a soul.
01:15:19 It was a turnstile.
01:15:20 It's like that video where the guy's checking people into the game and yeah, right.
01:15:25 That was me as a left guard.
01:15:27 That's a great story.
01:15:28 I love it.
01:15:29 And now look at you now.
01:15:30 I mean, this has been, you might be the most passionate man in sports media.
01:15:33 Yeah.
01:15:34 You love the game.
01:15:35 I appreciate that.
01:15:36 I mean, when you have stories like James Madison university, when you have, when you have a
01:15:41 conference like the mountain West, which I wanted to get to here, I wanted to shout out
01:15:45 the mountain West who could send six teams to the NCAA tournament this year.
01:15:50 I'm bullish on Nevada, Boise state, San Diego state can run this back.
01:15:55 Isaiah Stevens is an all American.
01:15:56 That's the other conference term and I'm excited about.
01:15:58 But when you've got Rick Patino in New York city, Dan Hurley's yelling at Providence fans
01:16:03 like crazy, we got Purdue.
01:16:05 Can they find redemption here?
01:16:07 Like this month is awesome.
01:16:09 And I love being a part of it.
01:16:12 Did you buy it when Rick told us that he doesn't talk to the refs at all?
01:16:14 Like he said that he hadn't spoken to refs in what, like years, right?
01:16:18 Yeah.
01:16:19 Is that true, Johnny?
01:16:20 I don't, I'm not buying that one.
01:16:23 How could that be true?
01:16:25 I don't know.
01:16:26 The way he explained it, he was kind of talking to them without talking to them where like
01:16:30 he would just say things out loud.
01:16:32 He's not like, Hey ref, you blew that call.
01:16:34 He's more like talking to air being like, these refs really got to do a better job,
01:16:39 which I guess is kind of not talking to them.
01:16:42 Yeah.
01:16:43 But it's like, it's, it's the word.
01:16:44 I mean, it's smart.
01:16:46 Cause can you get teed up doing that?
01:16:48 Yeah, no, you're right.
01:16:50 He's smart.
01:16:51 He's learned, he's learned the loophole here.
01:16:52 That's, that's actually a smart way to do it.
01:16:54 You, you must, you must be like loving it though, because you mentioned Danny Hurley,
01:16:58 who's a friend of this program, but like the big East to become a true basketball conference
01:17:03 again, they needed these characters as coaches because I always think that college basketball,
01:17:08 I love college basketball.
01:17:09 I love, love, love it.
01:17:11 But because of the turnover and rosters year to year, it's the characters in your coach
01:17:16 that makes a program and that gets, you know, the rivalries going and like you have those
01:17:20 guys now all in place.
01:17:23 It's the characters, it's the coach.
01:17:24 And as the ACC tries to figure out Washington DC or Greensboro, where should we like the
01:17:31 ACC is doing their conference tournament in Washington DC.
01:17:34 Yeah.
01:17:36 The big East 42 years at Madison square garden, 42 years.
01:17:40 It's an institution in New York.
01:17:42 And I'm going to make this claim with these personalities, with Patino, with Hurley.
01:17:45 You're right, Dan, you're, you're absolutely right.
01:17:48 In the, in the throwback personalities, like Sean Miller, he, he was on a freight a couple
01:17:53 of weeks ago.
01:17:54 He's like, there's a tier system in the big East and I'm not in tier one.
01:17:57 So that should tell you who, who gets to be in tier one, you know, indirectly taking shots.
01:18:01 Greg McDermott's one of the good guys just gets extended at Creighton.
01:18:04 You know how many places would like to be able to hire him?
01:18:07 Chaka smarts all fired and fueled up and Kim English is feisty.
01:18:10 Don't forget about Shaheen Holloway at Seton hall.
01:18:12 I think they could be a dark horse this week.
01:18:14 He didn't at St. Peter's.
01:18:15 He's got another team this year, but here's my thing in a world where Greg Sankey, the
01:18:20 SEC and the big 10, frankly, are trying to say, we're going to take control of all this
01:18:27 stuff to me, the number one thing that's keeping all the football people from just saying,
01:18:35 basketball's ours.
01:18:36 We're going to break it off to, we're just going to do our own tournament is the big
01:18:39 East because if you don't involve the big East in whatever you're doing, which is basketball
01:18:45 only, they're not getting football shares.
01:18:47 Your tournament would be illegitimate.
01:18:49 Yeah.
01:18:50 If you come wins the title this year, that would mean the big East would own four of
01:18:54 the last eight national titles in college basketball.
01:18:57 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:18:58 I have, that is a great point.
01:19:01 Uh, you, you made me think of something.
01:19:03 Um, is the big East talking at all about the fact that shock is smart is like literally
01:19:08 playing defense on the court.
01:19:10 Has anyone mentioned anything?
01:19:12 Are they going to stop them?
01:19:13 I'm okay if they don't want to stop them and they're just like, Hey, this is what shock
01:19:16 it does.
01:19:17 We're fine with it.
01:19:18 But like, he's so close to the action.
01:19:21 It makes me think, should coaches be allowed to play three possessions of defense again?
01:19:26 I love that.
01:19:27 Yes.
01:19:28 Just random three possessions.
01:19:29 Who would be the best defender in college basketball?
01:19:32 Uh, Shire would probably flop a lot.
01:19:34 Yeah.
01:19:35 Shock is smart would be, I mean he'd be up there.
01:19:37 Penny, you get Penny out there.
01:19:38 I think we'll wait.
01:19:39 I think we'll wait.
01:19:40 Could still bang with the best of them.
01:19:41 Yeah.
01:19:42 Well, we'll wait.
01:19:43 Could make a strong ass offer as they're coming up the court.
01:19:45 Yeah.
01:19:46 Yeah.
01:19:47 Juwan.
01:19:48 I mean we know Juwan wants to fight, so yeah, he'd get involved by files.
01:19:51 You get five.
01:19:52 No shocker.
01:19:54 I can report that, that, that he, the conference has done their part.
01:19:59 You know, he got, there was a message.
01:20:01 Now here's the thing is that there was a message sent now, whether or not, you know, the, that's
01:20:06 going to be translated here.
01:20:09 He's still on the court.
01:20:11 So, um, I don't know what you do there other than maybe we implement a rule, uh, you know,
01:20:16 where you can cash in like money in the bank that you can jump in for a possession or two.
01:20:21 Uh, if you want to play six out of five, but I don't, I mean, I don't know how you contain
01:20:26 shock of smart.
01:20:27 No.
01:20:28 I mean, big East defensive player of the year came out, Ryan call printer three time, big
01:20:31 East defensive player of the year.
01:20:33 The only other two that can say that they got it three times, Patrick Ewing and Alonzo
01:20:38 morning.
01:20:39 Wow.
01:20:40 A lot of people said shock of smart was robbed.
01:20:41 Yeah, he was.
01:20:42 I think what needs to happen is I think a player needs to just set a pick on him cause
01:20:46 then, then it would be like, all right, we got a problem or just shove them.
01:20:49 Yeah.
01:20:50 Just knock them over.
01:20:51 I thought about it more.
01:20:52 The answer to your question, which coach would you want playing defense?
01:20:54 I think it would be either Bruce Pearl or maybe Kelvin Samson because they would just
01:20:58 sweat all over the floor and nobody, they wouldn't send like the mop guy out there cause
01:21:02 they wouldn't fall down and they would just make it nice and lubed up so that all the
01:21:06 offense players would just trip.
01:21:07 I think that, I think that would be great.
01:21:09 But uh, but yeah, shock is out there.
01:21:10 He's like going to hand down man down on defense.
01:21:12 It's crazy.
01:21:13 The guy's energetic.
01:21:14 What can I, what can I say?
01:21:15 I still, now I'm fully adjusted to shock of smarts hair.
01:21:20 I've got, I've gotten fully adjusted to that.
01:21:22 Now uh, like, yeah, I mean here's the deal.
01:21:26 The NCAA tournament stricter with the, with the coaches on the floor.
01:21:31 So or at least I would think that they are these officials like, that's my one issue
01:21:35 with this week versus next week.
01:21:37 If I have one issue, the officials are going to call games differently next week because
01:21:41 during the NCAA tournament, they're also trying to advance to the next round.
01:21:45 Right.
01:21:46 They get evaluated every round.
01:21:47 Things get tighter.
01:21:48 These conferences, these conference officials, they're capping off their conference season.
01:21:52 They know these teams, the players know each other.
01:21:54 They're going to let them play a little bit.
01:21:56 That's why we see more and more whistles next week in the NCAAs.
01:21:59 These guys are tight as can be.
01:22:01 I didn't know that.
01:22:02 I didn't know that the refs were also trying to advance.
01:22:04 They got a job to do.
01:22:05 They got a job to do.
01:22:06 Yeah.
01:22:07 Well, refs are sent home.
01:22:08 They're repping for their job.
01:22:10 Yeah.
01:22:11 Yeah.
01:22:12 There is a 16 over one for the officials too.
01:22:13 I like that.
01:22:14 Uh, so you mentioned the ACC, it does suck that it's not a Greensboro.
01:22:17 That tournament should be in Greensboro every single year.
01:22:19 It means so much more.
01:22:20 It's just like the tradition behind it.
01:22:22 All the good teams from that area.
01:22:23 It's, it's the, it's the one thing that Greensboro still had going for it.
01:22:27 Let them keep it.
01:22:28 It's a great place.
01:22:29 That's Damies barbecue.
01:22:30 Two great things about Greensboro, but they should, it should not be in DC.
01:22:33 Nobody cares about outside of Georgetown, which doesn't even play in the conference.
01:22:36 Uh, DC is not a college basketball town.
01:22:39 Like you got Maryland.
01:22:40 Yeah.
01:22:41 Maryland, they were nice 20 years ago, but besides that, it's like they don't really
01:22:45 care as much in North Carolina.
01:22:47 Basketball is like a way of life down there.
01:22:48 Yeah, it is.
01:22:49 It should be in Greensboro and also it's going to be a Duke North Carolina final.
01:22:53 It all like, yeah, guys, the ACC, Virginia's the three, they might not even make the NCAA
01:22:59 tournament.
01:23:00 I know it's crazy.
01:23:01 It's crazy.
01:23:02 Do you think, uh, so w what was your take on the Duke?
01:23:05 Uh, the John Shire apologizing fans throwing stuff.
01:23:09 Oh, we got to ask your pro court storming, correct?
01:23:11 Yes.
01:23:12 Okay.
01:23:13 Thank you.
01:23:14 All right.
01:23:15 That was enough of a court storming talk.
01:23:16 Uh, do we think John Shire?
01:23:17 I know he's signing incredible classes.
01:23:18 I think the 2025 class is like the best ever at Duke.
01:23:22 Uh, but that was, that was a tough loss for them and it feels like, you know, UNC has
01:23:27 got their number a little bit right now.
01:23:29 UNC's got their number.
01:23:30 They've got their number and they think they've won three of the last four at Cameron indoor.
01:23:35 Yeah.
01:23:36 But it's so weird that a coach is apologizing to students.
01:23:41 Yes.
01:23:42 Yeah.
01:23:43 They're all weirdos and dorks.
01:23:44 You can just say it.
01:23:45 They are.
01:23:46 Yeah.
01:23:47 I mean, I just don't understand like the notion that a coach is going to go up to undergraduate
01:23:54 students who are going to class Monday to Friday have zero.
01:23:59 At the end of the day, the only attachment that they have to your program is that they
01:24:02 go to the school and you're going to go up and apologize to them.
01:24:07 Don't go apologize to them.
01:24:08 You want to apologize to people, apologize to the people who pay for your team.
01:24:11 Yeah.
01:24:12 Yeah.
01:24:13 Get the boosters on the phone.
01:24:14 You don't want to owe the students anything.
01:24:16 At the end of the day, here's the deal.
01:24:18 All right.
01:24:20 At Duke, John Shire, this second year, they've won 19 of their last 23 games.
01:24:27 But how much of that is because they're playing in a league that frankly is weak and that
01:24:32 could only stand what?
01:24:33 Four teams in the NCAA tournament.
01:24:35 They need to make the second weekend of this NCAA tournament.
01:24:38 If they do not, where the measuring stick is at Duke, you've got to be able to make
01:24:42 the NCAA tournament runs like, yeah, he's going to enter next year having real pressure
01:24:47 on himself to make the second weekend.
01:24:48 Because if you go three straight years and you have Cooper Fly coming in next year, guys
01:24:52 is otherworldly.
01:24:53 I know you hate that Cooper Fly is going to be a Duke Blue Devil because he is such a
01:24:57 fun player.
01:24:58 But yeah, the pressure's on here.
01:25:01 They still have a really good team.
01:25:02 They should make the second weekend of the NCAA tournament.
01:25:04 But Carolina's got their number.
01:25:06 Carolina to me is a is no question a top five team in college hoops can get back to the
01:25:10 national title game.
01:25:11 Oh, I like that.
01:25:12 All right.
01:25:13 So who can get to the, who can get to the national title game this year?
01:25:15 I'm assuming you said UConn already, so we'll put them in there.
01:25:19 UNC.
01:25:20 Then you, you mentioned Kentucky.
01:25:22 Their defense.
01:25:23 Yeah.
01:25:24 Kentucky over Tennessee.
01:25:25 They've been playing a little better though.
01:25:26 Yeah.
01:25:27 I, I've got tennis.
01:25:28 I would take Tennessee before I took Kentucky.
01:25:30 Okay.
01:25:31 I would be, you know why Tennessee always known for their defensive ability.
01:25:36 They've got Vescovi, Vescovi and Ziegler back.
01:25:40 To me though, now they've got a guy who can be a Doug McDermott, Jim or for debt type
01:25:45 guy in connect.
01:25:46 Yeah.
01:25:47 Don't think that can be that type of figure for their team.
01:25:50 Tennessee's bugaboo late, late in games in the past has been, they don't have a guy to
01:25:56 go to.
01:25:57 And Rick Barnes has crumbled with offensively.
01:26:00 Now you're not going to crumble because you know who you're going to, you're going to
01:26:03 connect and he can overcome any defense.
01:26:06 You can't just face guard connect.
01:26:08 He he'll break right through that.
01:26:09 He'll be able to score.
01:26:10 So I believe that Yukon, I believe in Purdue.
01:26:13 All right.
01:26:14 I'm on the Purdue train.
01:26:15 I'm not hopping off.
01:26:16 I'm on the Houston train.
01:26:18 I believe the Tennessee, I believe that Kentucky, I believe that Carolina beyond that you'd
01:26:23 have to do some convincing.
01:26:25 I'm out on Kansas.
01:26:27 I don't see it with Iowa state.
01:26:29 I'm not buying Illinois upside.
01:26:31 I believe we'll get three chalk final four teams.
01:26:35 And I believe we will get one team that we do not expect to be there to make it to Arizona.
01:26:39 Okay.
01:26:40 So not like last year, we're not going to see crazy Cinderella runs.
01:26:43 I think we could get one.
01:26:44 I just with the right region, I just don't see it.
01:26:47 I think like, here's the thing.
01:26:50 Connecticut has been an absolute wagon.
01:26:53 I'd be surprised if there, I'd be downright shocked if they're not in the elite eight
01:26:57 and I'd be real, I'd be surprised if they didn't make it to the final four.
01:27:01 I think one of Houston or Purdue is going to be there.
01:27:03 I think one of Carolina or Kentucky figures it out from there.
01:27:06 I don't know.
01:27:07 You know, I really like Creighton.
01:27:09 I think I think Creighton Creighton seven and one of their last eight games and Shireman
01:27:13 Alexander and call printer are quite the big three.
01:27:16 But I don't think that this is as wild PMT with, with upsets here this year, just because
01:27:22 I do think there's a whole bunch of Perry.
01:27:24 Like guys, I don't think there's any difference between six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11 seeds
01:27:29 this year.
01:27:30 I don't, I think there's a clear top.
01:27:32 I think from there it's a total crap shoot.
01:27:34 If I was picking in the bracket, you'll make some money, pick any 12, pick any 13, pick
01:27:40 any 14, any 15 just ride those seeds.
01:27:44 They're going to win games.
01:27:45 Yeah.
01:27:46 Yeah.
01:27:47 I mean, you're, it's a good point on creating.
01:27:48 Crane's been like a top, you know, five top 10 team in the last a month and a half.
01:27:53 They've been playing great ball real quick out West Arizona, obviously the class, the
01:27:58 pack 12.
01:28:00 I really, so this is the time of year where I see some teams, I can count actually Indiana
01:28:04 in this.
01:28:05 They're playing great ball right now.
01:28:06 It's like, I really want some of these teams.
01:28:08 They got it together way too late, but they'd be great in tournament.
01:28:10 USC is another one where they got it together.
01:28:13 They got healthy way too late, but they've been playing great ball.
01:28:16 Do you see Arizona winning the pack 12 and can they go deep?
01:28:19 Because this is a team that has a lot of hype.
01:28:22 They've, they've, they've played some big games this year.
01:28:24 They've, they've been tested.
01:28:25 They've won some big games, but it does feel like something's a little off, especially
01:28:29 when you saw them falter on Saturday night to USC.
01:28:32 I don't trust them.
01:28:33 Yeah.
01:28:34 I have trust issues with them.
01:28:35 I think it's all or nothing and the nothing is bad, but that's a good way to put it.
01:28:40 The nothing's really bad.
01:28:42 And you know, they, they lost to Princeton last year in the NCAA tournament.
01:28:46 And I don't know if those mental demons are totally away.
01:28:49 So you know, Tommy Lloyd has done a sensational job in the, as a regular season coach.
01:28:54 It takes a different, you gotta have a different set of stones to win in March.
01:28:59 And, um, right now with Tommy Lloyd, like I'm fearful, I'm fearful.
01:29:05 Is he, you know, like a Brad Underwood?
01:29:08 Does he have some painter where he's always got successful regular season teams?
01:29:13 Even a Fran McCaffrey comes to mind, but then they get to the NCAA tournament and like with
01:29:17 Arizona and Lloyd Lloyd is like, it's probably not fair to him because he's still relatively
01:29:24 newer head coach and he's only 49 years of age.
01:29:27 To me, the problem with Arizona is I don't know what I'm getting from Kylan Boswell from
01:29:32 game to game.
01:29:33 Like Caleb Love is going to be an all American and you know what credit to Caleb because
01:29:37 everybody said Caleb sucks and Caleb's terrible.
01:29:41 And Caleb's the reason why, uh, North Carolina blew up last year.
01:29:47 Stop.
01:29:48 You can't put it on one player.
01:29:49 It's on a head coach to direct his team.
01:29:51 Caleb transferred to Arizona and he's had a terrific season, but to me they just are
01:29:56 inconsistent in their supporting cast and it feels like Boswell's been way too up and
01:30:00 down at times for me to buy into Arizona.
01:30:04 If I was going to buy a West coast program during this NCAA tournament, I would buy some
01:30:10 stock in St. Mary's.
01:30:13 I like Aiden Mahaney quite a bit and guys I'm in on that mountain West.
01:30:18 I really believe that the mountain West, I don't think the six bids is fluke.
01:30:21 I think it's a huge tournament for them.
01:30:23 San Diego state making that final four that gave these other teams a blueprint, an idea
01:30:27 of what they could be.
01:30:29 Keep an eye on Steve Alford in the Nevada Wolfpack in the NCAA tournament and if they
01:30:33 can can get in there, Richard Patino and New Mexico, if they find a way in with Jalen house
01:30:39 and Jamal Mashburn could be in a first four game.
01:30:41 Yes, we could get Richard Patino versus his father, Rick, in a first game in Dayton.
01:30:47 That would be juicy.
01:30:48 I love that.
01:30:49 I love that little Oedipus Rex action going on.
01:30:52 And big cat just started watching the mountain West like two weeks ago.
01:30:54 Yeah, I've never seen a game.
01:30:55 He's falling in love with him hard.
01:30:57 Yeah, it's crazy.
01:30:58 I didn't even know they played basketball out there.
01:31:01 It's good.
01:31:02 That league is a lot of fun.
01:31:03 It's a lot of fun.
01:31:04 It's good.
01:31:05 And it's great.
01:31:06 You know why?
01:31:07 Because I like seeing a different league get tournament units.
01:31:08 Yeah.
01:31:09 Like they've mastered the scheduling algorithm, the net, you know, which I think has its flaws.
01:31:14 Can I go to bat for one other team on selection Sunday?
01:31:17 Yes.
01:31:18 Do it, John.
01:31:19 Josh shirts at Indiana state.
01:31:21 I hope you make it.
01:31:23 You're better than all these other high majors that are just like decent to okay that are
01:31:27 going to get in because of their schedule.
01:31:30 You couldn't schedule to the same degree because people didn't want to play you.
01:31:33 I want to see Indiana state get to the dance.
01:31:36 I'm all in on a two bid Missouri Valley Conference.
01:31:39 Yeah, I like that too.
01:31:40 It feels like it should happen, right?
01:31:42 I don't think we're going to be surprised when it does.
01:31:44 It should because the high major bubble is weaker this year.
01:31:49 Yeah.
01:31:50 And it's, it, it just like, if you asked me who I want to see play in like the, what's
01:31:57 marches about in the Cinderella stories and all these things, I would rather see Indiana
01:32:01 state play than a Virginia or no offense to Providence or Nova, like Colorado, Iowa, like
01:32:10 no offense to these teams, but like they've, you know, they're, yeah, they played tough
01:32:14 schedule.
01:32:15 They play in big conferences, but I want to see the Cinderella story.
01:32:18 Right now, if you put the four best mid majors up against the four high majors that are on
01:32:24 the bubble, you know, at largest, I guarantee you the mid majors will go at least three
01:32:28 in one.
01:32:29 All right.
01:32:30 So give me your top four mid majors.
01:32:31 Creighton.
01:32:32 We just love saying, yeah, no, I'll go outside the box here and get, so to me, the winner
01:32:40 of the Ivy league tournament is going to be a among my top mid majors.
01:32:44 I hope if Princeton makes it again, just take them in the first round.
01:32:47 They're going to win a first round game.
01:32:48 I like that.
01:32:49 Okay.
01:32:50 That team is back.
01:32:51 It's not fluky like guys, Mitch Henderson, the job he's done at Princeton is nuts.
01:32:58 It's nuts that that team is balanced.
01:33:00 They got a guard named Zavian Lee.
01:33:02 When we get off, look up his YouTube highlights or I'll send them to you.
01:33:05 You got to watch this kid play.
01:33:07 He's like a, he's like a mid major curry.
01:33:09 He's got that type of game.
01:33:12 I'm in on McNeese and we'll wait.
01:33:13 I believe in them.
01:33:14 I believe in Shahada Wells.
01:33:16 I think that they're capable.
01:33:18 Uh, I like the winner of the mid American.
01:33:20 Yeah.
01:33:21 Maxian can happen in the NCAA tournament.
01:33:22 If Toledo can get there, I'm in on the rockets.
01:33:25 Don't sleep on him.
01:33:26 Rike Freeman and Akron and then UC Irvine and eaters.
01:33:30 Really good defensive team.
01:33:32 Balanced enough to pull off that.
01:33:34 You know that nine 57 Thursday night game on true TV.
01:33:37 That's got UC Irvine written all over it.
01:33:39 Okay.
01:33:40 I like that.
01:33:41 I'm going to remember those.
01:33:42 You mentioned JMU earlier and I, I'm a fan of yours, Johnny.
01:33:44 And when you, you did a report on the scheduling issue, which I think has something to do with
01:33:48 Indiana state and it kind of speaks to the power imbalance in college basketball a little
01:33:53 bit.
01:33:54 Can you speak on that about just how like it's become a thing now where, uh, you know,
01:33:59 big schools will not schedule a dangerous mid major.
01:34:02 Is there a way to get around this?
01:34:04 Well, the way to go to get around it is that you respect and look at these issues more
01:34:11 and more face to face.
01:34:13 And if you're not going to be willing to schedule them from a high major standpoint,
01:34:17 then if these schools do everything in their power, then you give them a slot in the NCAA
01:34:21 tournament.
01:34:22 Right.
01:34:23 That's the, that's the only situation where I am okay with the NCAA tournament expanding
01:34:27 and it can expand for me no more than 76 teams.
01:34:31 I don't like it to begin with, but if you're going to expand, I want four mid majors that
01:34:35 have the same issues that JMU has because they deserve it.
01:34:39 Here's the deal.
01:34:40 There is no way PMC to control it.
01:34:42 There's no way for us to tell Alabama and to tell Yukon and to tell Florida and to tell
01:34:47 Texas that they need to schedule Indiana state or James Madison.
01:34:51 There's just not right, but there's no upside for him.
01:34:54 Right.
01:34:55 But you know what the upside for us is guys.
01:34:59 And I feel that it's our duty.
01:35:01 And I know, uh, you know, a John Rothstein, I know, uh, you know, an Andy cats, people
01:35:06 that cover college basketball, Bosco Rico Bosco, everybody.
01:35:11 I'll shout it to the moon and back.
01:35:14 Do not exclude the JMUs of the world, the St. Peter's of the world, the Fairleigh Dickinson's
01:35:22 of the world, the Princeton's of the world.
01:35:24 Do not exclude them from your tournament.
01:35:28 You can change up the college football playoff.
01:35:30 We all agree that it should, should be adjusted and it is.
01:35:33 And guess what?
01:35:34 It's better for college football.
01:35:36 It's going to be more fun, more inclusive.
01:35:38 I'm all for it.
01:35:40 If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
01:35:42 They're trying to fix this NCA tournament.
01:35:44 It doesn't need any fixing.
01:35:46 If you want to add a couple more teams, cause you got to widen your wallet.
01:35:49 I'm off.
01:35:50 I don't, I'm not going to sit here and be against you.
01:35:52 The more madness, the better.
01:35:54 There is such a thing though, as diluting your regular season so much that our bubble
01:35:58 talk would be teams that are 500.
01:36:00 Do we really want to be doing that this time of year?
01:36:02 Don't significantly alter the best post season in sports.
01:36:07 I beg of you college football people that want to now change up March madness.
01:36:13 Stay in your damn lane.
01:36:15 Yes.
01:36:16 Get them Johnny.
01:36:17 Yes.
01:36:18 I feel so inspired right now.
01:36:19 I want to salute you.
01:36:20 Yeah.
01:36:21 You kind of give me vibes.
01:36:22 Remember when Dwight Schrute, like people of like the world unite and he did the whole
01:36:27 speech blood turns the wheels.
01:36:30 That's how I felt right there.
01:36:32 I'm passionate about it.
01:36:33 I don't want to see March madness is the best thing college basketball has going for it.
01:36:38 Yep.
01:36:39 We can't have this up.
01:36:40 Yep.
01:36:41 I agree.
01:36:42 I agree.
01:36:43 All right.
01:36:44 So Johnny, I got one last question for you.
01:36:45 It's a rowback question.
01:36:46 RHOBACK.com promo code.
01:36:47 Take 20% off your first purchase.
01:36:48 Q-Zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, rowback.com promo code.
01:36:53 Take a, tell me who is going to be the bubble team from these higher conferences.
01:36:59 It's going to be very disappointing.
01:37:00 Come selection Sunday.
01:37:02 The team that you're looking at, you're like, they don't have it.
01:37:04 I don't care if they go on a little run here.
01:37:06 They're not going to something, something in their resume is going to falter.
01:37:14 I'm going to go with Texas A&M and Iowa.
01:37:17 Yeah.
01:37:18 We're going to be on the outside looking in of this, of this equation.
01:37:22 Iowa has come on here late, but I think you're going to end up with a sad Fran McCaffrey.
01:37:29 They have a really, really important big 10 tournament game to stay alive.
01:37:34 Important big 10 tournament game.
01:37:35 Iowa, Ohio state in the seven 10 Ohio state.
01:37:40 Yeah.
01:37:41 Mark Titus is listening somewhere.
01:37:43 Could make the NCA tournament out of nowhere because if they beat Iowa guys after that,
01:37:50 they have Illinois.
01:37:52 If they beat Illinois, they'd have 21 wins.
01:37:55 A win over Illinois on a neutral, a win over Purdue, a win over Alabama and a win at Michigan
01:38:00 state.
01:38:01 Could Chris Holman get fired during the season and Jake Diebler make the NCA tournament?
01:38:06 It is possible, but I do think the Hawkeyes and I think buzz Williams is going to be an
01:38:11 upset buzz on selection Sunday, man.
01:38:14 I, I, I, I'll say it's crazy.
01:38:17 They've gotten so hot.
01:38:18 They've turned their season was completely dead and they're playing great ball right
01:38:22 now.
01:38:23 Um, I like those answers though.
01:38:25 Those are good answers.
01:38:27 The one thing would say for Iowa, they don't have any bad losses I don't think so that,
01:38:31 that helps them.
01:38:32 They're not like a Nova that lost like Penn and Drexel, that kind of thing.
01:38:36 You were saying that Iowa state to you feels like they don't, they don't have a chance
01:38:39 to be in that conversation.
01:38:40 It sounds so in NFL terms, if we're watching a like week, I don't know, 10, 12 of the
01:38:45 season, the Miami dolphins can't beat a good team.
01:38:49 We call them frauds.
01:38:50 Are you, you're not saying that Iowa state's a fraud.
01:38:52 Are you?
01:38:53 No, I'm not saying that they're a fraud.
01:38:55 I think there are really good sweet 16 team that has their limitations and their ability
01:39:00 to be able to make a final four.
01:39:03 Typically if I say you're a sweet 16 team, I also believe my argument is there's like
01:39:08 30 sweet 16 caliber teams, 32 sweet six.
01:39:11 You know what I mean?
01:39:12 Like there's a lot of teams we say, yeah, there's second week of potential.
01:39:15 Like, like, you know, Rothstein does this all the time.
01:39:18 It's like second weekend caliber set.
01:39:20 Well there's how many teams are there?
01:39:22 25 that are second weekend caliber.
01:39:23 That's smart.
01:39:24 That's March madness.
01:39:25 To me, they're in the in between.
01:39:27 You know, they are, they're a good, they're a good restaurant.
01:39:30 They're good for a burger or a sandwich, but if you're looking for a medium rare steak,
01:39:34 I'm not going to go to aims looking for that this particular season.
01:39:37 I like their team.
01:39:39 I don't love their team enough to say this is where I'm going to propose to my wife.
01:39:44 Is also burger going to stay?
01:39:46 He's a good coach.
01:39:47 Yes.
01:39:48 Because of the contract.
01:39:49 Okay.
01:39:50 It's too big of a buyout.
01:39:52 Got it.
01:39:53 Got it.
01:39:54 It's like an absurd amount of money.
01:39:55 He's a good coach.
01:39:56 He's a very good coach.
01:39:57 Yeah.
01:39:58 He, he's a, he's done a marvelous job at a place.
01:40:02 It's not the easiest to win.
01:40:03 Like they have a great fan base, but in the big 12 they're not, they're not top three
01:40:08 or four in terms of the total package.
01:40:11 He's made them really consistent, really good defensively in this year with Tame and Lipsy,
01:40:16 Keyshawn Gilbert, the supporting cast of guards that they've got.
01:40:20 I'm really impressed with the job that he's done.
01:40:22 Milan Mancinovich is one of the better freshmen in America and he plays for the Iowa state
01:40:27 cyclones.
01:40:28 I think you just like saying Milan Mancinovich.
01:40:30 Yeah, that was good.
01:40:31 That's a fun one.
01:40:32 That was really good.
01:40:33 I love saying it.
01:40:34 Yeah.
01:40:35 Uh, Johnny Fanta, thank you so much.
01:40:38 Everyone tune in.
01:40:39 You'll see him all over Madison square garden getting, getting interviews with the guys
01:40:43 after the games.
01:40:44 I can't wait.
01:40:45 I can't wait.
01:40:47 And I'm partnering up with one Jim Calhoun this week.
01:40:51 Oh, what are you doing?
01:40:53 He's, he's going to be with me for a lot of those interviews and a lot of those, a lot
01:40:56 of those breakdowns.
01:40:57 So that's going to be, love it.
01:40:59 Tell him we say hello.
01:41:00 Tell him we say hello.
01:41:02 I will tell him you said hello.
01:41:03 And fun fact, apparently he has not talked with coach Patino in about a decade.
01:41:07 Oh yes.
01:41:08 Oh, I love it.
01:41:09 I love it.
01:41:10 I love the rivalry.
01:41:11 Grumpy old men.
01:41:12 It's perfect.
01:41:13 Fireworks.
01:41:14 Maybe we'll get a dime back.
01:41:15 Thanks for having me.
01:41:16 All right.
01:41:17 Thanks for having me.
01:41:18 Okay.
01:41:19 We now welcome on our very good friend Pete Prisco.
01:41:21 We love Pete.
01:41:22 Pete's our guy.
01:41:24 We wanted to do a quick, I know it's conference championship week, but we want to do a quick
01:41:28 NFL free agency talk and see where Pete's head is at.
01:41:31 Maybe even touch a little bit on the draft cause he does watch the tape, the tape, the
01:41:34 tape, the tape.
01:41:35 That's what he says.
01:41:37 But Pete, let's start with free agency.
01:41:39 Who has won free agency thus far?
01:41:42 We're a day and a half in.
01:41:43 It feels like all the big, big signings have been taken care of.
01:41:46 Who are you like, man, what their plan is.
01:41:49 I love it.
01:41:50 Well, I'll tell you who won free agency was the running backs.
01:41:55 Yeah.
01:41:56 And that, that goes against everything that I believe in when it comes to team building.
01:41:59 So, um, but you know, they got paid, they went off the market quickly and I think it's
01:42:04 a reflection of the draft not being very good when it comes to running backs, at least on
01:42:09 the surface it isn't.
01:42:10 I'm still a big believer you can find those guys in the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh
01:42:13 round and be just as good as you would be if you got one in the first round.
01:42:17 And we've seen that play out over the course of history.
01:42:19 So I don't, I don't think that the draft is that bad when it comes to running back that
01:42:24 you have to overreact to this degree, but everybody spent a lot of money and guys, uh,
01:42:28 you know, kudos to the running backs.
01:42:30 Even though they're really on the surface one or two year deals, you still got paid
01:42:33 for a year or two.
01:42:34 I'll tell you who lost NFL free agency was Pete Prisco because running backs got paid
01:42:39 and Russell Wilson got another job.
01:42:40 Yeah.
01:42:41 All your, all your boys coming up, Pete.
01:42:42 Well, you know what though, I've been right about running backs for 20 years and I was
01:42:47 right about Russell Wilson going way back to when he was in Seattle.
01:42:49 Okay.
01:42:50 I mean, he had the number one scoring defense in the league for five straight years, I think
01:42:55 it was.
01:42:56 And I always say this, the fifties dynasty Browns were the only other team to do that.
01:43:00 It's hard not to win when you have that defense.
01:43:02 He was a good quarterback.
01:43:03 He's been a good quarterback.
01:43:04 The last couple of years has been a bad quarterback.
01:43:06 All right.
01:43:07 So we'll get to Russ, but sticking on running backs just for one last question, can you
01:43:11 rank who, which running backs moves you liked and what you're like, I don't know what they're
01:43:16 thinking because we had obviously, you know, Josh Jacobs, the green Bay, Saquon to Philly,
01:43:21 Deandre Swift to Chicago, Aaron Jones, the Vikings.
01:43:24 Uh, who else am I forgetting?
01:43:27 Uh, Pollard to the Titans.
01:43:29 Derek Henry's talking to the Ravens right now.
01:43:32 Austin Eckler to the commanders.
01:43:33 Yep.
01:43:34 Yeah.
01:43:35 The Pollard one to the Titans.
01:43:36 I mean, you have a third down back, kind of a quick guy in Spears that you can use him
01:43:42 in that kind of thing.
01:43:43 I don't think Pollard said that much of a change up back.
01:43:46 He wasn't good last year.
01:43:47 That one surprised me a little bit.
01:43:49 I didn't think that, you know, when you hear what happened with the Aaron Jones situation,
01:43:54 he had a giant cap number.
01:43:55 He wasn't going to come off that that much.
01:43:57 So you understand why they did that.
01:43:59 But is Josh Jacobs a better back for the Packers offense than Aaron Jones is?
01:44:03 The answer to that question is no.
01:44:05 Yeah, I agree.
01:44:06 I agree.
01:44:07 That one was, that one was a little weird to me because I, you know, Josh Jacobs has
01:44:10 had some good seasons, but Aaron Jones is younger, I believe.
01:44:15 I think they're the same age, but I think they're the same age.
01:44:18 But Aaron Jones is like the centerpiece of that locker room.
01:44:21 Like everybody respects Aaron Jones and green Bay.
01:44:23 Oh, I think actually Josh Jacobs is younger.
01:44:25 That's my fault.
01:44:26 I was getting my Packer hate.
01:44:28 Yeah.
01:44:29 Yeah.
01:44:30 Yeah.
01:44:31 And Aaron Jones can split out and Jacobs is okay in the passing game, but he's not what
01:44:34 Aaron Jones can bring to an offense.
01:44:36 And let's be real.
01:44:37 They're going to build that thing around love and the receivers.
01:44:40 I mean, they have all those receivers and tight ends.
01:44:42 They're going to build it around them.
01:44:43 So I think Jones was a better fit for their offense, but if he wouldn't come off that
01:44:47 number, I understand a little bit, but Jones is a better player.
01:44:50 Yeah.
01:44:51 I, another guy that lost free agency was Joe Mixon because the Bengals waited until after
01:44:56 every running back was signed to cut Joe Mixon.
01:45:00 That was kind of a weird move.
01:45:01 That scene is that, is there something personal there behind the scenes?
01:45:04 Because you would think that you would give them an opportunity to have a go at it beforehand.
01:45:08 Right?
01:45:09 Well, he's going to end up in Houston, isn't he?
01:45:10 I think that's the latest is going to end up with the Texans, which I think is a good
01:45:13 situation for him.
01:45:15 I mean, look, if you're going to get released by the Bengals, you go to the Texans, you
01:45:19 play behind CJ Stroud and that, you know, you want to be behind a good quarterback.
01:45:23 You want to be able to, to, to have a threat to throw the football when you run it.
01:45:27 So I think that would be a good opportunity for him.
01:45:29 So Pete, you do, they kind of handled it poorly, but remember he, they've asked him a couple
01:45:34 different times about taking a pay cut.
01:45:36 I think he's balked a little bit.
01:45:38 Yeah, I would too though.
01:45:39 If somebody was just like, Hey, can you do the same job for less money?
01:45:41 I'd probably be like, uh, can you send me to Texas where there's no state income tax?
01:45:46 That might, that's a good compromise to me.
01:45:48 Um, Austin Eckler to the commanders.
01:45:50 I uh, I've watched, you know, I watched every chargers game last year, but I don't watch
01:45:55 the tape like you Pete.
01:45:56 So you watch the tape on Austin Eckler.
01:45:58 Um, streets are saying he might be a little bit slower.
01:46:00 He might've lost a step.
01:46:01 I still think he's pretty good catching the ball at the backfield.
01:46:04 Um, is this a good signing or bad signing for the commies?
01:46:07 No, I think it's a good sign.
01:46:10 He can still catch the ball out of the backfield and he can still get you, you know, he's not
01:46:13 going to carry it 15 times, 20 times between the tackles.
01:46:15 I don't think anymore, but you don't ask him to do that.
01:46:17 You're going to get them in the passing game.
01:46:19 You're going to, and particularly if you have a young quarterback, you want to have a threat
01:46:22 out of the backfield and catch the football and they're obviously going to have a young
01:46:26 quarterback.
01:46:27 So I think that makes sense from that standpoint.
01:46:30 Is he the same runner he was a couple of years ago?
01:46:32 Probably not.
01:46:33 But you know, backs have a tendency as you get older, they start slowing down and the,
01:46:39 what you have to do is hope they don't go off the cliff because we've seen backs, they
01:46:42 get to that point and they go, Oh, they're just slowing down and then they go right off
01:46:46 the cliff.
01:46:47 Yeah.
01:46:48 They get blown out.
01:46:49 Yeah, right.
01:46:50 Yeah.
01:46:51 So you hope that's not the case.
01:46:52 He might have a year or two left in them.
01:46:53 Okay.
01:46:54 So, um, so yeah, there was the one Austin Eckler thing.
01:46:55 There was a guy who tweeted out like Austin Eckler highlights.
01:46:59 Uh, uh, maybe it was like a month ago being like, this guy's still different and it was
01:47:03 all his highlights.
01:47:05 And then the lower bar had obviously the scores happening that day.
01:47:09 And one of the notes was like Kirk cousins, uh, 17 for 22 for the Washington Redskins.
01:47:14 Yeah.
01:47:15 And it was like, shit, still got it.
01:47:16 It was a long time ago.
01:47:19 Still got it, man.
01:47:20 You know, what's going to be nice though.
01:47:21 Like I can't remember the last time that we had a running back that was, you know, even
01:47:25 discussed being draft in the first two, three rounds of fantasy football.
01:47:28 So that's kind of cool.
01:47:29 Yeah.
01:47:30 Like putting in the first rounder.
01:47:31 And again, if you're going to have, if you're going to have a quarterback who's a rookie
01:47:36 possibly start and probably starting, then you want to have your outlets.
01:47:40 Get the ball to the back, out of the bag.
01:47:41 That's the easiest throw for the guy to make.
01:47:43 Check it down.
01:47:44 Let him get out in space.
01:47:45 I, I think that makes a ton of sense for Washington.
01:47:47 I really do.
01:47:48 The other signing I thought was, was really good, much to my dismay and chagrin was Saquon
01:47:52 Barkley to the Eagles.
01:47:54 Saquon's dead to Tiki Barber.
01:47:56 He's excommunicated.
01:47:58 I think it's a perfect fit.
01:47:59 I think that this is, it's a good fit for the Eagles.
01:48:03 Dream team back on.
01:48:04 Yeah, I wouldn't go that far.
01:48:06 I mean, look, I like Saquon Barkley.
01:48:09 I think he's a really good player and he's been really limited by what he's had around
01:48:13 them because teams load up against the box.
01:48:15 I mean, the quarterback in the passing game, one very good.
01:48:18 The receivers don't really scare down the field when you were at the Giants.
01:48:21 So yeah, he's a good back.
01:48:23 He can do a lot of things, but look at the Eagles defense.
01:48:26 I mean, is it, are you better off spending money on that side of the ball?
01:48:30 That defense was horrible at the end of last year and that's where the problems are.
01:48:34 So yes, you're adding a good piece to the offense, but I would have, I think they would've
01:48:38 been better off spending money on the defensive side of the ball and spending money on a back
01:48:43 isn't usually what they do.
01:48:44 Yeah.
01:48:45 That's why it's so out of character for them.
01:48:47 Yeah.
01:48:48 All right.
01:48:49 So the other big signing, which will start a domino effect is Kirk Cousins to the Falcons.
01:48:53 I'm very curious what your thoughts are because I like the move in the fact, well, congrats
01:48:58 Kirk Cousins has gotten paid over $400 million in his career.
01:49:01 It's incredible.
01:49:02 I like the move in the fact that Falcons will be competitive and competent now, and they
01:49:07 have all these guys on rookie deals, the skill position guys, but is there not a belief that
01:49:13 like you're now setting yourself up if you're the Falcons, Kirk Cousins is a good quarterback.
01:49:19 He's good enough that you'll never be like so bad that you're in the top of the draft
01:49:23 and you're kind of kicking the can down the road with trying to find a franchise quarterback.
01:49:28 Bingo.
01:49:30 And like I said on our stuff yesterday, I said, well, the good news is he won't have
01:49:33 to be playing in a lot of big games in Atlanta because we know how he's played those games
01:49:37 in his career.
01:49:38 Not very well.
01:49:40 He's won a lot of games.
01:49:41 He's put up a lot of yards, but when it comes time in the crunch time and his track record
01:49:46 shows it, he hasn't been great.
01:49:48 And that's the concern with Kirk Cousins.
01:49:50 He was my number one free agent.
01:49:52 He should have been any team that was quarterback needy, which the Falcons are.
01:49:55 You have to go get them.
01:49:56 He's going to be a good quarterback for them.
01:49:59 But does he put them over the top?
01:50:00 Like you said, right.
01:50:01 If you're going to go pay that kind of money to a quarterback, you want sustainable success
01:50:05 a, or you want to win a super bowl in the short term.
01:50:08 And can he do that with that roster?
01:50:10 I don't think he can.
01:50:12 I don't right now.
01:50:13 And I, and by the way, I still think Tampa Bay is better than them right now in the division.
01:50:17 Wow.
01:50:18 Yeah.
01:50:19 And it does.
01:50:20 I mean, it's, it's a really tough, it's whenever you get the like middle class of quarterbacks,
01:50:23 it's just a tough decision to make where it's like Kirk Cousins is a, is a very good quarterback
01:50:27 in the fact that like he is, he, he will give you, he will not get injured.
01:50:31 Obviously got injured this year.
01:50:32 You will win games.
01:50:33 He's bet he's somewhere in that 10 to 15 range better than half over half the league, but
01:50:40 can he win a super bowl?
01:50:41 And if he can't, what is the longterm play here?
01:50:43 Well, and you know, you talk about paying a quarterback at, when you look at what happened
01:50:49 to Miami the last week and a half, that team has been picked to shreds in large part because
01:50:55 they're in cap hell, but they're also readying to pay their quarterback.
01:50:59 And it's one of the, that's one of those guys you're damned if you do and you're damned
01:51:03 if you don't get almost half the pay him.
01:51:06 But what happened?
01:51:07 Where does he take you?
01:51:08 Does he take you into the, you're contending every year like Mahomes and Allen and those
01:51:13 guys do?
01:51:14 I don't know if he does.
01:51:15 I don't think he does.
01:51:16 And he hasn't shown up in the big moments in certain games either.
01:51:19 And so that's a concern, but you're right.
01:51:21 There's only a certain amount of guys where you pay him and you know, you're going to
01:51:24 be around for the next decade.
01:51:26 They're going to keep you there.
01:51:28 I don't Kirk Cousins isn't that, and I don't know too.
01:51:31 I don't think too is that good news for the Falcons.
01:51:33 They had the fewest amount of primetime games last year with zero.
01:51:37 They didn't play in primetime.
01:51:38 That might've been, that might've been something Kirk circled on his, on his, uh, his pro and
01:51:42 con list when he was deciding where to go.
01:51:45 But you guys are absolutely right.
01:51:46 $400 million.
01:51:47 He's the biggest winner of them all.
01:51:49 He's the greatest football player for what he's done.
01:51:51 He's $400 million.
01:51:52 God bless him.
01:51:53 Yeah.
01:51:54 Congrats to him.
01:51:55 Like he's a really good guy and if they're going to pay you, they're going to pay you.
01:51:58 He played, he played the system perfectly the way that it happened.
01:52:02 So he was a fourth round draft pick and then he got tagged twice in DC.
01:52:07 So that's some guaranteed big money right there for just two seasons.
01:52:10 Then he goes to Minnesota, gets guaranteed, gets another guaranteed contract.
01:52:14 Now he's going to Atlanta.
01:52:15 Like he has, he has worked the system perfectly for a slightly above average quarterback.
01:52:20 That's a good guy to hang out with.
01:52:22 That's his max value.
01:52:24 Rick Spielman works with us and every Sunday we're in there and I'm, every time we see
01:52:27 him, I go, you gave him that much guaranteed money.
01:52:30 What the hell were you thinking?
01:52:32 What were you thinking?
01:52:33 Yeah, it's crazy.
01:52:34 I mean, he's been a good quarterback for them, but was he ever, like you said, is he ever
01:52:39 a great quarterback?
01:52:40 And the answer to that question is no.
01:52:42 So wait, so Kirk Cousins gone, uh, Russell Wilson to the Steelers.
01:52:46 You saw obviously James Winston, who we think is, was the number one free agent signing
01:52:50 to the Browns.
01:52:52 What is the rest of the QB carousel look like?
01:52:55 Specifically like Joe, I I'm, uh, bears Twitter's going nuts because we can't figure it out.
01:53:01 I think it's a mistake if they keep Justin Fields, uh, past the draft and have Caleb
01:53:06 Williams have to walk into a locker room and see Justin Fields there.
01:53:09 But what, where's he going to go?
01:53:11 Obviously we've overrated his, uh, value.
01:53:14 So what is it going to be?
01:53:15 And is it going to happen?
01:53:17 I think it'll happen.
01:53:18 I just, it's a matter of what they want to get for him now.
01:53:22 There's no market there.
01:53:23 They, they signed Gardner Minshew, the Raiders paid Gardner Minshew rather than making a
01:53:27 move to go get Justin Fields.
01:53:29 That should speak volumes about what the league thinks about Justin Fields.
01:53:32 Uh, I think, you know, it'd be a good option for him.
01:53:35 Maybe like go become a backup somewhere like in Indianapolis.
01:53:38 You know, Minshew's out of there.
01:53:41 You have a mobile quarterback that's there.
01:53:43 That's going to, but he was hurt last year and he's had some injury issues.
01:53:46 So why not go there, learn that offense?
01:53:48 And maybe that'll be something that'll help rejuvenate you and show people you can play
01:53:52 in that offense.
01:53:53 If you do indeed get on the field play and then maybe you get another opportunity.
01:53:57 I don't think right now there's a starting job for him.
01:53:59 I thought Atlanta was a possibility if they didn't get cousins, but where, where's an
01:54:04 opportunity for him to start right now.
01:54:06 It's the contract too, because you got to, then you get them and then you got to figure
01:54:09 out if you want to pick up the fifth year deal.
01:54:11 Do you think that the, the bears will, will trade him though before, uh, they draft kale
01:54:16 Williams because it does feel like it's a ticking time bomb.
01:54:18 If you say, Hey, we're going to just try to hold onto them and get better value in the
01:54:22 season that feels like a recipe for some bad locker room vibes.
01:54:27 Or you hold onto them until somebody has an injury in training camp and wants to get desperate
01:54:32 for a quarterback.
01:54:33 And you know, that happened to the Vikings back in the day.
01:54:37 Remember when Bridgewater went down, they gave up a first round pick for Sam Bradford,
01:54:40 which, you know, turned out to be a disaster.
01:54:43 But, uh, so teams get desperate, maybe you hold onto them that way and then you hope
01:54:47 they can coexist if, if they're there together.
01:54:50 Uh, and now, you know, whether they can, who knows that you're right.
01:54:54 It could, it could, you know, have factions in the locker room that think fields is better
01:54:57 factions in the locker room that want Williams.
01:54:59 He caused problems that way, but that's where coaches and everybody else come into play.
01:55:03 You got to be able to handle that.
01:55:04 Yeah.
01:55:05 Yeah.
01:55:06 I mean, I could see, I could see the logic behind that, keeping him until training camp
01:55:09 because you're going to, you're probably going to increase your trade value from like a fourth
01:55:13 to a second round pick.
01:55:14 Maybe if you hang onto him that long, it's just a matter of how do you handle having
01:55:18 an established guy that the locker room has gravitated towards to in the past while bringing
01:55:23 in a new guy?
01:55:24 Like, is a new guy going to be set back because of that?
01:55:26 Yeah.
01:55:27 I mean, Caleb Williams is clearly going to be the pick now.
01:55:30 You know, that, that's quite obvious.
01:55:32 Uh, and, and, and should he be probably, I mean, you know, he's got, there's a lot of
01:55:37 things to like about him and if you're a Bears fan, you should be excited.
01:55:40 There's also some concerns about him.
01:55:41 I mean, you know, he doesn't throw on time all the time in rhythm all the time.
01:55:45 Uh, you know, he's got the wow play down.
01:55:48 I take steep drops.
01:55:49 Um, you know, and then he cried after a game, which is never, of course Pete doesn't like
01:55:54 that.
01:55:55 You don't like his fingernails either.
01:55:56 I don't care about the, I don't care about the fingernails.
01:55:58 I don't, that doesn't bother me one bit.
01:56:00 I just don't think you should ever cry after losing a football game.
01:56:03 And by the way, if there was, if there was a death in the family or something that week,
01:56:09 I apologize.
01:56:10 But if there was not, you were crying over the football game.
01:56:12 Bad buck.
01:56:13 Okay.
01:56:14 So why do you think it's always appropriate to cry after loss and during the national
01:56:18 anthem?
01:56:19 I mean, one, maybe during the national anthem, if you get emotional over something, okay,
01:56:26 you know, maybe there was something that went on in your life.
01:56:29 I don't mind that.
01:56:30 But after a loss, there's no way you cry after a loss.
01:56:32 He cares.
01:56:33 Crying over football.
01:56:34 Yeah, it does.
01:56:35 Crying over football.
01:56:36 No, it doesn't.
01:56:37 I mean, you're okay.
01:56:38 Then why doesn't the rest of the team cry?
01:56:40 They don't care.
01:56:41 They probably do.
01:56:42 I've watched a lot of guys cry privately without you realizing it.
01:56:46 Like when you have a bad, yeah, if I have a bad, like gambling day, like a really bad
01:56:52 one, like I'll do a little tear in the shower.
01:56:54 Just you know, when you were shooting those free throws, when you were breaking free throws
01:56:59 all over the place and couldn't get the street going that day, did you cry afterward?
01:57:03 I was close to crying.
01:57:05 If I had missed 39 and 40 that last time, I 100% would have cried.
01:57:09 But that would have been more out of exhaustion.
01:57:10 Because we were up for like 24 hours.
01:57:14 There's no way.
01:57:15 I can tell you with 100% certainty, even when I was a kid, I didn't cry over losing a game.
01:57:21 He's a strong Italian man.
01:57:22 Listen, this is why we love having you on, because you always give us at least one of
01:57:25 these.
01:57:26 While we're talking about Caleb Williams, can you rank your quarterbacks, the six guys
01:57:30 that are going to most likely be drafted in the first two rounds?
01:57:33 Yes, and I got more work to do on them, but my preliminary ranking is I think Jaden Daniels
01:57:39 will be the best of them.
01:57:40 Oh, this hurts.
01:57:43 He's the most improved player I've ever seen in my entire life.
01:57:46 Most improved.
01:57:47 I'm a Sun Devil.
01:57:48 I watched him at Arizona State.
01:57:50 One very good.
01:57:51 And now what he can do with the ball is ball placement, his accuracy, his ability to run.
01:57:57 I mean, he can run too.
01:57:58 That's the other thing.
01:57:59 So I probably rank him slightly.
01:58:00 They're close.
01:58:01 Him and Caleb Williams, one and two.
01:58:02 Then Drake May.
01:58:04 And then I don't love JJ McCarthy.
01:58:07 I don't see it.
01:58:08 I just don't see it.
01:58:10 I think I'd take him in the second round, but he's going to get drafted in the top 10.
01:58:15 I don't see that.
01:58:16 Then I'd probably go Penix right in there with him.
01:58:20 And a guy I like is Pratt from Tulane in the third round.
01:58:25 I think he's one of those guys, you got down the line guys, you might end up getting a
01:58:28 good quality starter out of that.
01:58:30 Pete, I just looked it up.
01:58:32 Tom Brady's cried several times after football games.
01:58:36 Not a winner.
01:58:37 Not a winner.
01:58:38 I didn't say he wasn't a winner.
01:58:39 I didn't say he wasn't a winner.
01:58:40 It's just Pete doesn't like it.
01:58:42 That's okay.
01:58:43 Yeah, you can do that.
01:58:44 I mean, it's- I love it.
01:58:47 When did Brady cry?
01:58:48 What games did he cry after?
01:58:49 After the Super Bowl.
01:58:50 After the Eagles Super Bowl, he cried.
01:58:52 He's at the podium right now.
01:58:54 I'm watching this video after a Steelers loss.
01:58:56 It looks like when he was on the Buccaneers, they lost to the Steelers and he was getting
01:58:59 teary eyed at the podium.
01:59:03 I don't like that either.
01:59:04 Okay.
01:59:05 Oh, yes.
01:59:06 Tom Brady, you're bust.
01:59:07 Yeah.
01:59:08 I'm going to say this.
01:59:09 If the worst thing that ever happens to you in your damn life is you lost a football game,
01:59:13 you had a hell of a life.
01:59:14 All right, that's good perspective.
01:59:15 That's good perspective.
01:59:16 I have a question about J.J. McCarthy real quick, Pete.
01:59:19 How do guys- how are war rooms deciphering J.J. McCarthy?
01:59:24 Because you have these competing things where it's like, he wasn't asked to do a lot, but
01:59:29 what he did was good, but can he do more?
01:59:32 We never saw it in college.
01:59:34 That's really what the crux of the argument is.
01:59:36 So how are guys analyzing it and seeing, okay, this is what he could do, or we've seen all
01:59:42 of it and there's not much more there?
01:59:44 Yeah.
01:59:46 And again, when you evaluate him, there are games he stands in the pocket when he does
01:59:49 make the throws and there's nobody near him.
01:59:51 I mean, the opposite line was good in protection and nobody near him.
01:59:54 So it's hard to evaluate that.
01:59:56 But I think you're trying to take the skill set and translate it to the next level.
02:00:02 There's a lot to like.
02:00:03 He doesn't have a great arm.
02:00:04 He has a pretty good arm.
02:00:05 He can move, but he's not like Jaden Daniels.
02:00:08 So there are some things there.
02:00:10 I just don't, I think the league, you know what I think the league is guilty of?
02:00:14 And just like the Twitter media and the cults, I call them the draft cult.
02:00:18 One says it, so two says it, so four say it, then eight say it.
02:00:22 In the NFL, a guy will talk to a guy and go, "Hey, I really liked that McCarthy guy."
02:00:26 "Well, I watched him.
02:00:27 I didn't like him, but let me go back and watch him."
02:00:29 "Hey, now I like him.
02:00:30 I saw what you see."
02:00:31 And then he tells him, and then he tells him, "Oh, look at J.J.
02:00:34 McCarthy."
02:00:35 All of a sudden, they all convinced themselves that he should be a high first round pick,
02:00:38 and that's how mistakes get made.
02:00:39 Do you think maybe there's a GM out there that's saying that because he knows that,
02:00:44 and so he's going to just be like, "Hey, J.J.
02:00:46 McCarthy, pretty good," knowing that people will parrot that and repeat it, knowing that
02:00:50 J.J. McCarthy's actually not that good?
02:00:52 Yes, it's lying season.
02:00:53 Everybody lies to try and ... But you know guys you trust, and there are people in the
02:00:57 league that trust each other, and they can go on that.
02:01:00 There are too many guys that I talk to that kind of ... They're forcing this up a little
02:01:05 bit, and we've seen it play out over the course of the recent drafts.
02:01:09 Look at all the quarterbacks from the Trevor Lawrence draft.
02:01:11 They're all nowhere now.
02:01:13 I think you got to be careful with that.
02:01:15 Do your own work.
02:01:16 Do your own evaluation.
02:01:17 If you like him, you like him.
02:01:18 If you don't, don't listen to anybody else.
02:01:20 Yeah, Pete, there's another quarterback that's in the news today.
02:01:23 Josh Allen restructured his deal.
02:01:25 He got just, I guess, all the money up front.
02:01:27 I don't really understand how that works.
02:01:29 Great guy.
02:01:30 You're an Italian, so you're an expert in money laundering.
02:01:32 How does that work in terms of converting all that money that you will owe him into
02:01:37 a signing, but why don't they just do that every year with every quarterback?
02:01:41 Your stereotyping the Italian, man, aren't you?
02:01:43 I'm two percent Sicilian.
02:01:44 I can say it.
02:01:45 No.
02:01:46 What you do is you give them the ... Make it bonus money so you get it right now, and
02:01:53 then spread it over the course of the contract and add on years.
02:01:56 That's how you make it less of a cap bet.
02:01:58 It's great for the player, but you put it in your pocket right now.
02:02:01 It's a great thing.
02:02:02 It's funny how that got framed.
02:02:03 It's like, "Thank you, Josh, for restructuring your deal."
02:02:06 It's like, "No, that's good for him.
02:02:07 That's great for him."
02:02:08 It's great for him.
02:02:09 It's great for him.
02:02:10 By the way, there's an exhibit A on what the Twitter draft cult and the NFL can do to a
02:02:16 player.
02:02:18 They all killed that kid for years, and nobody would ever come off of it.
02:02:22 Even during the draft process, I remember back to that, that was criminal what they
02:02:26 did to him.
02:02:27 Yep.
02:02:28 You're on the right side of history.
02:02:29 Not me.
02:02:30 Yep.
02:02:31 Not me.
02:02:32 Not you.
02:02:33 It feels good to be right, Pete.
02:02:34 It does.
02:02:35 It does feel good, because I've had many wrong ones, so I'll be right.
02:02:36 I'll take that one.
02:02:37 You always grade free agent signings.
02:02:39 You always say, "Okay, this is the best deal.
02:02:41 This is the best player, most impact, most improved team."
02:02:45 What would you say is the one player that you like to sign the most, and then two, which
02:02:49 team got better?
02:02:51 Which team do you think led the league in improving themselves so far?
02:02:55 Boy, that's a good question.
02:02:57 Let me ...
02:02:58 Great question.
02:02:59 Great question.
02:03:00 I think the Vikings defense really improved itself.
02:03:04 They're going to have to, because they're going to have to win games, because Sam Darnold's
02:03:07 going to be their quarterback, it looks like, unless they go up and get J.J. McCarthy.
02:03:13 I think adding Jonathan Grenard is a good signing for them.
02:03:17 Adding Van Ginkle, who's a heck of a football player, has the same hairstyle as you, by
02:03:22 the way.
02:03:23 I like it.
02:03:24 You like that.
02:03:25 I also added Blake Cashman.
02:03:27 With what Flores can do with those guys, they can do a lot of different things.
02:03:31 I think they had a good free agency class on that side of the ball.
02:03:35 Now, you lost your quarterback, so it kind of negates that a little bit, obviously, because
02:03:40 the quarterback is so valuable.
02:03:41 As far as individual signings, let me think off the top.
02:03:45 I'm trying to think.
02:03:46 See, you know me.
02:03:47 I'm not going to put a running back signing up there.
02:03:49 I like what ... Go ahead.
02:03:52 I was going to say, I like Christian Wilkins to the Raiders, because I think that defensive
02:03:56 line is going to be ferocious now with Max Crosby.
02:03:59 Put another dude on that line.
02:04:01 You know what?
02:04:02 Everybody doubles Max Crosby, and now if you put Wilkins next to him, you can't double
02:04:06 as much.
02:04:07 You're right.
02:04:08 That's a really good sign.
02:04:09 I also like teams that went out and bolstered their offensive line.
02:04:12 I'll give you an example.
02:04:15 The Tennessee Titans had been awful on the offensive line.
02:04:18 Will Levis got abused.
02:04:20 He got abused last year.
02:04:22 Getting Cushenberry to play center for them is big for them.
02:04:25 It really is.
02:04:26 Now they can draft the left tackle in the first round, and all of a sudden you have
02:04:29 a left side with Skowronski and the left tackle.
02:04:32 All of a sudden you've got yourselves a much improved offensive line, and you've got to
02:04:35 build it around that quarterback.
02:04:37 I think that's a good signing.
02:04:38 I think Carolina getting their guards.
02:04:41 They paid a lot of money for the guards, but you have a little quarterback.
02:04:44 You can't have pressure on the inside with a little quarterback.
02:04:48 You brought up Carolina.
02:04:50 They just did it again.
02:04:51 They just keep making the worst deals ever.
02:04:53 The fact that they traded Brian Burns for what?
02:04:56 A second round pick?
02:04:57 Maybe a second and a fifth or something.
02:04:58 It was a two and a five.
02:04:59 It was a swap of the fifth.
02:05:03 It's also what the Giants got for Leonard Williams.
02:05:07 It's like they ended up with Brian Burns over Leonard Williams for the same draft compensation.
02:05:12 The craziest part about this is Brian Burns, the Rams were ready to offer two first rounders
02:05:19 what a year and a half ago?
02:05:20 They said no on a season that went nowhere.
02:05:24 They just keep doing this.
02:05:26 It's insane.
02:05:28 This one is on them now.
02:05:30 The other ones were on the last regime, so you can't really blame Dan Morgan and gang
02:05:34 for that.
02:05:35 This was one of those situations where if you ... Okay, let's look at it from the Rams standpoint.
02:05:40 If you were really going to give two first round picks away for Brian Burns, that would
02:05:44 have been a terrible trade anyways.
02:05:45 You turn it down if you're Carolina, but if the Rams were going to do that, that would
02:05:49 have been a bad trade because you ultimately got to pay him too.
02:05:52 Anytime you trade and pay first round ... If you trade a first round pick and you pay a
02:05:57 guy, that's where you run into problems because you're giving away cheap assets and players
02:06:05 that you build your team around.
02:06:06 For a guy, you're going to have to pay a mega contract.
02:06:10 I always think that's too risky.
02:06:11 All you got to do is look at the Russell Wilson deal.
02:06:14 How'd that work out?
02:06:15 Yeah.
02:06:16 Russell Wilson, do you think Russell Wilson is going to play, is going to win the starting
02:06:19 job in Pittsburgh?
02:06:20 It's going to be a competition.
02:06:23 I'm not going to sit here and say he's just going to win it.
02:06:25 I think he's been bad the last couple of years.
02:06:27 I really do.
02:06:29 His whole game was predicated on getting outside the pocket and making plays.
02:06:34 He wasn't as quick.
02:06:35 He wasn't as elusive.
02:06:36 He wasn't as one of those guys that could make those plays.
02:06:40 He'd leave so many pockets.
02:06:43 Talking to people in Denver, it was so frustrating because he would have clean pockets at times
02:06:46 and never step up.
02:06:47 He just leaves or take a sack.
02:06:50 You can put on a tape and watch boatloads of plays like that where I could see where
02:06:53 it would frustrate anybody.
02:06:55 I'm not one that everybody sits here and says, "Oh, Russell Wilson's going to put the Steelers
02:06:59 in the playoffs."
02:07:00 No.
02:07:01 I think he's going to have a quarterback competition with Pickett.
02:07:03 That tells you where Russell Wilson is as a player.
02:07:06 Russell Wilson doesn't realize this.
02:07:07 Obviously, it wasn't what he thought when signing.
02:07:10 The idea of Russell Wilson starting 17 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers and being the
02:07:15 guy who breaks Mike Tomlin's over 500 streak would be ... Talk about the final nail in
02:07:23 the coffin in terms of your reputation.
02:07:26 Tomlin's done it with all these old big fans and everything.
02:07:29 That's a brutal division.
02:07:30 Yeah.
02:07:31 Brutal division when you think about it.
02:07:33 The Ravens, we know what they have.
02:07:35 Joe Burrow back, you know what they are.
02:07:36 Then you have the Browns who are a playoff team and they're going to get Watson back.
02:07:40 No, that's tough to do even if Russell Wilson is the starting quarterback.
02:07:44 That's going to be a challenge for them.
02:07:46 Yeah.
02:07:47 I don't know if Russ is going to be able to hold up to Mike Tomlin's coaching.
02:07:50 He did not get along with Sean Payton.
02:07:52 He kind of needs a guy that's friendly to him, needs to pat him on the back, all positive
02:07:56 energy.
02:07:57 I don't know that Mike's going to be that guy.
02:08:00 I would not pencil in Russ Wilson as the starting quarterback just yet.
02:08:03 That's what I'm getting at.
02:08:04 Has Russ Wilson ever left the team where everybody was just angry that he left?
02:08:09 NC State.
02:08:10 Yeah.
02:08:11 That's a good answer.
02:08:12 The NFL, has that ever happened?
02:08:15 When he left Seattle, he didn't hear any people all upset about it.
02:08:19 Then when he left Denver, they didn't care.
02:08:23 He's not a great teammate.
02:08:25 You hear the stories, he's not a great teammate.
02:08:28 Counterpoint though, when he announced that he was going to Pittsburgh, his tweet that
02:08:31 he put out was just the Renegade song.
02:08:33 He gets it.
02:08:34 He bought in.
02:08:35 He bought in.
02:08:36 That was sick.
02:08:37 The Steelers love the Renegade song and everybody's taking it and run with it all over the country
02:08:42 now.
02:08:43 You ever see that in any college football?
02:08:44 In high school, they play it all the time now.
02:08:45 Yeah, it gets people going for sure.
02:08:49 Back to Kirk Cousins real quick though, because I wanted to dispute one thing that you said.
02:08:54 I actually think that this is a great signing by the Falcons because Kirk Cousins going
02:08:59 to Atlanta, the expectation is not the Super Bowl.
02:09:03 They had a quarterback for the past two seasons that he would take way too many chances with
02:09:10 the ball.
02:09:11 The knock against Kirk Cousins is he doesn't take chances at all sometimes, even when maybe
02:09:15 he should.
02:09:16 With the dynamic playmakers that they have, having a safe quarterback, I do think makes
02:09:21 them the favorite to win that division.
02:09:23 I think that they're a top three, top four team in the NFC right now just because he
02:09:27 is safe.
02:09:29 He's like Matt Ryan light, where you can put him back there.
02:09:32 He's not going to turn the ball over 20 times in a year.
02:09:34 He's not going to fumble on the goal line twice in a game.
02:09:37 There's a lot of games that the Falcons could have won last year if they just had a guy
02:09:42 that was competent.
02:09:43 I think if there's one thing you could say about Kirk Cousins, he's exceedingly competent.
02:09:48 Yes, he's definitely competent.
02:09:50 I just think Tampa's better.
02:09:52 I just think they're a better football team.
02:09:55 The offensive line in Atlanta, pretty good.
02:09:58 You know Robinson can run it, so that's pretty good.
02:10:01 Pitts, there's a guy that can come close to living up to the expectations.
02:10:05 Drake London, maybe now with Kirk Cousins he'll be better.
02:10:08 What about the defense?
02:10:09 Who's the pass rushers on that defense?
02:10:11 They don't have any real threats as pass rushers.
02:10:14 That's always a concern.
02:10:15 Look, they'll be in the mix to win the division.
02:10:17 It's going to be close just like it was last year.
02:10:20 I don't think anybody's winning 11 games in that division.
02:10:23 Do you?
02:10:24 I don't.
02:10:25 I think the Falcons can win 11 games.
02:10:26 Yeah, I do.
02:10:27 I don't.
02:10:28 I don't.
02:10:29 You want to bet?
02:10:30 Yeah.
02:10:31 We'll bet your liquor bottle you walk around with in your pocket.
02:10:35 A bottle of Mad Dog.
02:10:36 Yeah.
02:10:37 Yeah, there you go.
02:10:38 You have to chug a bottle of Mad Dog at the Super Bowl next year.
02:10:39 I'm not chugging a bottle of Mad Dog.
02:10:40 There's no conceivable way I'm chugging a bottle of Mad Dog.
02:10:44 You can do it.
02:10:45 You have to finish a bottle of Mad Dog.
02:10:49 No, I'm not making that bet.
02:10:51 I'll buy you one.
02:10:52 How about that?
02:10:53 Okay, deal.
02:10:54 Deal.
02:10:55 11 games?
02:10:56 11 games.
02:10:57 11 games is a lot, PFT.
02:10:58 You sure about this?
02:10:59 I think the Falcons can win 11 games next year, yes.
02:11:00 That's a lot of games.
02:11:01 That's a lot of games.
02:11:02 That's a lot of games.
02:11:03 Listen, I like Kirk.
02:11:04 I like the fit there.
02:11:05 You do make a good point about the NFC, though.
02:11:10 When you compare it to the AFC and the NFC, the NFC, there aren't a lot of great teams
02:11:15 in the NFC, right?
02:11:17 The quarterbacks are all in the AFC.
02:11:18 The NFC is, if you got hot at the right time, you might be able to win the NFC.
02:11:23 You make a lot of good points.
02:11:24 I'm looking at their schedule real quick.
02:11:26 They play the AFC West, it looks like.
02:11:30 No, they just have the Broncos.
02:11:34 That's the one.
02:11:35 That's the one.
02:11:36 That's the one.
02:11:37 That's the one.
02:11:38 No, they do play the AFC West.
02:11:39 They have the Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders, Saints, or sorry, Raiders, Broncos.
02:11:42 Yeah, I don't know.
02:11:43 11 games is a lot of games.
02:11:46 It's a lot of games.
02:11:47 11 games is a lot of games.
02:11:48 That's a lot of wins for that team.
02:11:50 Even inside a division, the Saints are always a good game with them.
02:11:54 It's tough.
02:11:55 The Bucks are going to be good.
02:11:56 It's tough.
02:11:57 I'm going to step in here.
02:11:58 I think, PFD, you should just wait a second on this because this is your Kirk Cousins
02:12:02 like your-
02:12:03 I'm caught up.
02:12:04 Kirk Cousins disease.
02:12:05 I think you need to-
02:12:06 He is.
02:12:07 At least-
02:12:08 I've got the opposite of Kirk derangement syndrome.
02:12:10 I've got like Kirk excitement syndrome.
02:12:12 Maybe 10 is where you want to do this bet.
02:12:14 10 and a half.
02:12:15 No, he made 11.
02:12:16 No, that's 11.
02:12:17 I know.
02:12:18 We compromised.
02:12:19 Yeah.
02:12:20 All right, so Pete, last question, rollback question, rhoback.com, promo code.
02:12:25 Get 20% off your first purchase.
02:12:26 Q-Zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts.
02:12:29 We should have mentioned the Texans have been, I think the Texans have made some good defensive
02:12:32 additions.
02:12:33 Even the Lions made some good defensive additions, but I have to ask because you're here, you're
02:12:37 Jacksonville Jaguars.
02:12:39 I like the Mitch Moore signing.
02:12:40 I like the Gabe Davis signing.
02:12:42 What do you think?
02:12:43 Have we looked at their schedule?
02:12:44 Are they a Super Bowl team again next year?
02:12:46 No, no, they're not.
02:12:47 And the Matt Jones, you got Matt Jones.
02:12:50 Yeah.
02:12:51 Matt Jones, last year was a disaster, by the way, and in large part for a bunch of
02:12:56 reasons.
02:12:57 One being the center.
02:12:58 Thankfully, they replaced him.
02:13:00 Mitch Morris can actually move people.
02:13:02 They'll be protected on the inside better.
02:13:04 That's good because Trevor Lawrence couldn't step up.
02:13:06 He started getting out of there.
02:13:07 I think getting Gabe Davis gives them a deep threat down the field, which they need.
02:13:12 They'd like to keep Ridley.
02:13:13 If they could keep Ridley, then I think Zay Jones might be out.
02:13:16 Then you'd have Ridley, Kirk, and Gabe Davis, I think, which would be good for them.
02:13:22 Defensively, adding the corner, I think, makes sense.
02:13:26 And Darby, not a great player, but didn't cost them a lot of money.
02:13:29 They got to get better on the interior of their defensive line.
02:13:32 That's one of their priorities, has to be that.
02:13:35 And so I think they'll be good.
02:13:38 They'll be better next year.
02:13:40 They had a winning season.
02:13:41 They won, what, nine games, and they weren't that good at the end of the year.
02:13:44 I think they can still push to win that division.
02:13:47 But the Texans have the best quarterback in the division now.
02:13:50 There's no doubt about that.
02:13:51 Yeah.
02:13:52 All right.
02:13:53 Credit to us.
02:13:54 We've gone this entire time talking about the NFL.
02:13:55 We haven't mentioned Hank's Dallas Cowboys once.
02:13:57 That's got to be a record for any segment that you've ever done.
02:13:59 But it feels like they haven't done anything, right?
02:14:01 They haven't done anything.
02:14:03 And look, sometimes you can wait in free agency and get some bargains down the road.
02:14:07 If you look at free agency over the course of history, everybody gets excited about these
02:14:11 guys and most of them are gone in two years.
02:14:13 And so I think you'd get some bargains there.
02:14:15 But Dallas needs to get better against the run.
02:14:17 I mean, that's, you know, number one priority.
02:14:19 They have to be able to stop the run.
02:14:21 They were getting gashed at the end of last year.
02:14:24 And so I think that's something you got to keep an eye on.
02:14:26 Do they bring in a linebacker or two and maybe get big guy on the defensive line?
02:14:30 They have to.
02:14:31 All right.
02:14:32 Well, Pete, thank you as always.
02:14:34 You make time for us.
02:14:35 We love having you on.
02:14:36 Men shouldn't cry after football games.
02:14:38 What about fans?
02:14:39 Are fans allowed to cry?
02:14:40 I'm expecting you guys to throw that on a t-shirt soon.
02:14:42 We'll be selling those.
02:14:43 Men don't cry.
02:14:44 Boys don't cry.
02:14:45 Yeah.
02:14:46 Wait, can you cry if you're a fan?
02:14:47 No.
02:14:48 Oh, well, what if we have a guy that we have a guy that works with us?
02:14:53 He does some stuff with us and he is a big Eagles fan.
02:14:55 And when they when they won that Super Bowl, he had video of himself like bowling.
02:15:00 I mean, no way you can't cry over.
02:15:02 You can't cry over Super Bowl win.
02:15:04 Winner men allowed to cry in your mind, Pete.
02:15:07 When bad things happen in your life.
02:15:09 Losing a Super Bowl is not a bad thing.
02:15:11 It's a football game.
02:15:12 What about your wedding?
02:15:13 Are you allowed to cry at your wedding?
02:15:14 Yeah, you could cry at your wedding.
02:15:15 I didn't, but you can cry at your wedding.
02:15:19 What about what about when?
02:15:21 What about when Michael has to kill Fredo?
02:15:23 That was sad.
02:15:24 That was sad.
02:15:25 Yeah, because you know what?
02:15:26 You know, when you watch stuff like that, you put yourself in that in that situation.
02:15:30 I would kill your brother.
02:15:31 Godfather's the only time men can make you cry.
02:15:32 I like that.
02:15:33 Right.
02:15:34 Well, you put yourself in that situation.
02:15:35 Can I kill my brother, Richie?
02:15:36 Let me see.
02:15:37 You have to put him down.
02:15:43 Yeah, you have to.
02:15:44 You had to.
02:15:45 All right.
02:15:46 What about when Bobby Bacala gets shot in the toy train shop?
02:15:48 That was sad.
02:15:49 Yeah, that was sad.
02:15:51 But you know, sometimes you understand why you have things have to be done.
02:15:56 Things have to be done.
02:15:57 Oh, Calvin Ridley is a patriot.
02:15:58 This is breaking news.
02:15:59 Oh, wow.
02:16:00 There you go.
02:16:01 Yeah.
02:16:02 So they don't do everything you just said.
02:16:03 They wanted him.
02:16:04 It was just a matter of whether they wanted him or not.
02:16:05 They wanted him.
02:16:06 It was just a matter of whether they would they would go to his price.
02:16:09 I guess they got me.
02:16:10 Oh, wait.
02:16:11 No, I'm reading it wrong.
02:16:12 Cal New England is pushing to sign free agent Calvin Ridley, but sources believe that he
02:16:15 currently prefers to return Jacksonville.
02:16:17 He's been discussing a deal with Jaguars.
02:16:19 That wasn't phone worthy, Jake.
02:16:21 That was by the way, I read it.
02:16:22 I was like, oh, he's a patriot.
02:16:24 He's just wants to stay in Jacksonville.
02:16:25 Well, here's why he wants to stay in Jacksonville.
02:16:27 Let me tell you, he had trouble learning the offense last year, and so he doesn't really
02:16:32 want to go somewhere else.
02:16:33 I have to learn another one.
02:16:34 I'm not going to say anything about it.
02:16:35 I'm not going to say that.
02:16:36 I'm not going to blame Jake.
02:16:38 That was a Schefter dupe.
02:16:40 Schefter tweeting basically the Calvin Ridley hasn't gone anywhere but put the name Patriots
02:16:44 in there.
02:16:46 That's a weird that's a weird tweet by Schefter.
02:16:48 He stooped us all.
02:16:49 He knows that he's got you're trying to get him right.
02:16:51 That was Schefter.
02:16:54 Schefter knows that people have notifications set on their phone for him.
02:16:58 So a lot of times he'll bury the actual story behind the dot dot dot.
02:17:02 And we got dot dot dot.
02:17:03 We got dot dot dot.
02:17:04 We got dot dot dot.
02:17:05 Yeah.
02:17:06 We got dot dot dot.
02:17:07 All right.
02:17:08 Well, Pete, thank you as always.
02:17:09 We got to see you soon.
02:17:10 We miss you.
02:17:11 All right.
02:17:12 Yeah.
02:17:13 I thought I'd see you guys at the Super Bowl or something.
02:17:15 I didn't even see it.
02:17:16 What did you do in Vegas?
02:17:17 Where were you?
02:17:18 What was the Pisco Lounge?
02:17:19 You were at the White Rhino all week.
02:17:22 I saw your office.
02:17:23 Spearman.
02:17:24 Spearman.
02:17:25 White Rhinos.
02:17:26 You guys.
02:17:27 You guys were there.
02:17:28 You had you had VIP.
02:17:29 You had throwing money around with a little gun shooting the hundreds out into the crowd.
02:17:32 I know how you guys operate.
02:17:34 We should go to a strip club.
02:17:35 Peter, you strip club guy.
02:17:36 No way.
02:17:37 I haven't been in a long time.
02:17:38 I mean, a Florida guy.
02:17:39 I assume everyone from Florida was like, that's where you have.
02:17:42 That's where you get christened in a strip club.
02:17:44 He's a brothel guy.
02:17:45 No, I was, you know, back in the day, we used to go to the strip joints all the time down
02:17:50 here.
02:17:51 I mean, there was a wild, wild west back in the day.
02:17:54 I'm a married man now.
02:17:56 I don't go to strip joints.
02:17:57 I was I was down in Florida like a month ago.
02:18:00 And my buddy was like, yeah, we shouldn't go to a strip club while we're down here because
02:18:04 it's not nude.
02:18:05 Apparently you have to wear pasties down in Florida.
02:18:07 Is that true?
02:18:08 It depends on, no, it depends on where you're at.
02:18:10 So, okay.
02:18:11 That's not true.
02:18:12 That's a regional one.
02:18:13 Yeah, no, that's not true.
02:18:15 Some of them, yes.
02:18:16 Some of them, no.
02:18:17 What city were you in?
02:18:19 Just south of Jacksonville.
02:18:20 I was in Ponte Vedra.
02:18:21 Yeah, well, yeah.
02:18:23 Jacksonville, yeah, that's true.
02:18:25 That's exactly right.
02:18:26 What were you doing?
02:18:27 Look at you highfalutin in Ponte Vedra.
02:18:28 I was drilling the 17th green at Sawgrass is what I was doing.
02:18:33 And what'd you do?
02:18:34 I got a birdie.
02:18:35 You know, I did that.
02:18:37 I did that once.
02:18:38 I got a birdie on there.
02:18:39 It was filled being that ruins our thing.
02:18:41 No, we're editing this.
02:18:44 Yeah.
02:18:45 Pete Prisco and PFT commenter to two heavy hitters in the golf world.
02:18:48 And I hit like three.
02:18:49 It was like for a thing we filmed for TV.
02:18:52 I put it right next to the pin, made the birdie.
02:18:54 And then we played around there.
02:18:56 After we got the 17th and plunked about four of them, I think in the water.
02:19:00 That's fine.
02:19:01 No, no, you got a birdie.
02:19:02 We both got birdies.
02:19:03 Two great golfers.
02:19:04 Yeah, I got a birdie.
02:19:05 Yeah.
02:19:06 Yeah.
02:19:07 No, I'm not a good golfer, but I did birdie that all.
02:19:08 Are you good?
02:19:09 No, I'm terrible.
02:19:10 No, we're not good.
02:19:11 I'm horrendous.
02:19:12 No.
02:19:13 Yeah.
02:19:14 This guy takes lessons like twice a week.
02:19:17 I've seen him.
02:19:18 Who?
02:19:19 Who are you talking about?
02:19:20 You.
02:19:21 Me?
02:19:22 I've never taken a lesson in my life.
02:19:23 I'm not going to let another man.
02:19:24 I don't do anything.
02:19:25 You're not going to teach me how to swing a golf club.
02:19:27 Hank, you're thinking of Hank.
02:19:29 Yeah.
02:19:30 I'm going to take lessons because I'm getting frustrated with my game.
02:19:33 So I'm going to take lessons.
02:19:34 Yeah.
02:19:35 It won't fix anything.
02:19:36 You'll still suck.
02:19:37 No, I got it.
02:19:38 You know what stinks about the game is if you don't start playing until you're older,
02:19:41 you're never going to really, really good at it.
02:19:43 You know, did you play as a kid?
02:19:45 Did either of you play as a kid?
02:19:46 No.
02:19:47 Oh, we got Derrick Henry to the Ravens.
02:19:51 How much was the money?
02:19:52 20 million, including 9 million fully guaranteed in the first year.
02:19:56 So it's probably a one year deal for 9 million.
02:19:58 Yeah.
02:19:59 That's a good, decent deal for them.
02:20:01 Yeah.
02:20:02 I like that for them.
02:20:03 But the problem is, will they run the ball?
02:20:05 You have the running back, you got to actually run the ball.
02:20:08 I agree.
02:20:09 I agree.
02:20:10 But also, he started breaking down a little bit the last couple of years.
02:20:13 He doesn't have the same pop he had a couple of years ago.
02:20:15 I'm concerned with the speed in which Adam Schefter has these Photoshop's ready to go.
02:20:20 We were talking about it the other day.
02:20:21 He probably has like Derrick Henry in three different uniforms, just in case.
02:20:26 And then he tells them which one to put in his tweet, right?
02:20:29 Or he knows it's coming and just puts it out and waits for it.
02:20:33 So you're saying that there's tampering that happens before the legal tampering went out?
02:20:36 You kidding me?
02:20:37 Back in the day-
02:20:38 You kidding me?
02:20:39 Remember when the Pro Bowl used to be in January in Hawaii?
02:20:42 The whole thing, every agent in the world went out there and tampered.
02:20:46 The whole, in Hawaii, it was all, they had deals done in January.
02:20:49 You kidding me?
02:20:50 I just love the idea that the NFL was like, "Okay, you guys tamper so much.
02:20:56 We'll make it legal to tamper."
02:20:57 But there's still tampering that happens well before that.
02:21:00 Yeah, exactly.
02:21:01 Like all these deals are done and the free agency period hasn't even started.
02:21:05 Yeah, it's crazy.
02:21:06 All right, Pete.
02:21:07 Thanks so much, man.
02:21:08 We'll talk to you soon.
02:21:10 Pete Prisco is brought to you by Proper 12 Irish Whiskey.
02:21:13 St. Paddy's has almost arrived.
02:21:16 Proper number 12 is here to remind you, practice makes proper.
02:21:19 Proper 12 is brought to you by a true Irishman, Dublin 12's own, the notorious Conor McGregor.
02:21:25 Proper 12 pays homage to Conor's Irish hometown roots.
02:21:28 It's a rich and smooth blend of golden grain, single malt, aged four years in bourbon barrels.
02:21:34 Anything else just wouldn't be proper.
02:21:35 Pour the roar this St. Paddy's Day with a proper green tea shot made with smooth and
02:21:39 rich proper Irish whiskey.
02:21:41 Create your own St. Paddy's lore when you pour the roar.
02:21:46 Pete Prisco is also brought to you by our great friends over at Dave and Buster's.
02:21:50 Dave and Buster's is the best place to watch basketball this March.
02:21:53 86% of American employees will spend at least some time at work keeping track of March basketball.
02:21:59 Also, if anybody out there puts out the productivity stats when it comes to the tournament and
02:22:04 how much time and money is being wasted by American employees, that person's a cop.
02:22:08 They're an ARC.
02:22:09 Don't listen to them.
02:22:10 Just keep it moving.
02:22:11 It's okay.
02:22:12 It's okay to duck out.
02:22:13 It's okay to watch basketball on TV.
02:22:14 Stop pretending to work.
02:22:15 Watch the games at Dave and Buster's on March 21st.
02:22:19 Dave and Buster's nationwide will have an all day happy hour to celebrate the first
02:22:23 full day of games.
02:22:25 I love Dave and Buster's.
02:22:27 Babe, you love Buster's.
02:22:28 You love it so much.
02:22:29 Go back.
02:22:30 Go back.
02:22:31 Stop pretending to work.
02:22:32 Come to Dave and Buster's on March 21st for all day happy hour and all day basketball.
02:22:35 I can't think of a better place in the world to watch that first week in the games than
02:22:39 at Dave and Buster's.
02:22:40 It is.
02:22:41 It's the best.
02:22:42 The games, the TVs, the food's really good.
02:22:44 Great drinks.
02:22:45 Dave and Buster's.
02:22:46 Check it out.
02:22:47 Okay, let's wrap up.
02:22:48 We got guys on chicks.
02:22:50 Henry read it.
02:22:54 Hey, big cat.
02:22:55 PFT, Hank, Jake, memes, pug and burrito boy.
02:23:00 What are your thoughts on how common it is for women to get Botox filler plastic surgery
02:23:05 nowadays?
02:23:06 I am 26 years old and I'm one of the only ones that my friends who has not gotten a
02:23:10 lip fill or some kind of injection yet.
02:23:12 Do guys like the big fake lips and what plastic surgery Botox injection would you guys all
02:23:17 get done to yourselves if you could?
02:23:18 Is this Kate Middleton?
02:23:20 Might be.
02:23:21 She's dead.
02:23:22 Yeah, she's getting divorced actually.
02:23:23 The woman that is cheating on Prince William.
02:23:29 Prince William.
02:23:30 It's the most British title of all time.
02:23:31 Yeah, so here's her title.
02:23:33 Lady Rose.
02:23:34 She's Lady Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Coleman Deli.
02:23:39 Yeah, and if you look her up, she looks like the ultimate mistress.
02:23:44 She looks so prissy.
02:23:45 And the article that they wrote yesterday about her, which was very clearly planted
02:23:49 by somebody who's in the know about this, made several references to the fact that her
02:23:52 husband is very old and that she lives right down the street from the royal family.
02:23:58 Lady Rose Hanbury.
02:23:59 The question is, is it okay to get plastic surgery?
02:24:03 Thoughts?
02:24:04 Yeah, go for it.
02:24:05 I think lip fillers are similar to my ChapStick take.
02:24:09 Once you get it and then you get addicted to it, then you always need it.
02:24:12 And it's a dangerous, dangerous path to go down.
02:24:14 I am really bad at noticing any type of plastic surgery or anything.
02:24:19 So if I can notice it, then it's too much.
02:24:22 You know what I mean?
02:24:23 I think a lot of girls do this.
02:24:24 They get the Botox, they get the lip fillers.
02:24:26 I don't even know.
02:24:27 I can't tell any of that shit.
02:24:29 But if you're walking around and your face looks like wax, then yeah, that's probably
02:24:34 a problem.
02:24:35 So there's limits.
02:24:36 And if I could get it, I don't know.
02:24:38 What would you guys get?
02:24:39 What plastic surgery would you guys get done to yourselves if you could?
02:24:42 Liposuction?
02:24:43 I got an implant.
02:24:44 Where?
02:24:45 Your ass?
02:24:46 Chin implant.
02:24:47 Oh, that would rock.
02:24:48 You should do it.
02:24:49 I've looked into it.
02:24:50 I don't know if it's a chin implant.
02:24:51 Wouldn't they have to just break your jaw and then reconstruct it?
02:24:53 I don't know.
02:24:54 It can be done.
02:24:56 I'm just not that self-conscious.
02:24:58 I'd get a breast reduction for sure.
02:25:01 I would get calf implants.
02:25:03 You remember that guy in True Life?
02:25:04 What about the, you can grow.
02:25:06 They can give you five inches.
02:25:08 Yeah.
02:25:09 They break your legs.
02:25:10 Yeah.
02:25:11 So when that news article came out, I got tagged a million times and it thanks everyone.
02:25:16 But yeah, they can give you five inches of height, but they break both your shins.
02:25:21 And then every couple of weeks, they just unscrew your bones further and further apart.
02:25:26 And then your bone heals in between and you grow.
02:25:29 Yeah, I'd probably do that.
02:25:31 I'd probably be able to dunk before Hank.
02:25:33 Yeah.
02:25:34 It's like a two year recovery time.
02:25:37 I'm dunking.
02:25:38 You're ready and ready to go in no time.
02:25:40 Hey gang, my boyfriend and I just moved in together and sharing a bathroom has already
02:25:45 become a huge problem.
02:25:46 He constantly misses the toilet and the next time I walk in, drops of piss are always on
02:25:51 the seat.
02:25:52 I'm always the one who has to clean it up and I'm tired of it.
02:25:55 He says that he is trying to execute the silent piss.
02:25:58 Do all guys try to pee as quiet and as hard as possible or should I be concerned?
02:26:02 I'm a huge silent pisser.
02:26:03 Yeah, you got to piss on the toilet, like the rim without hitting the water.
02:26:08 Unless I have to pee really bad and then I like to feel the power.
02:26:11 Yeah.
02:26:12 And hear the power.
02:26:13 The first couple of seconds and you're like, wow, that's like a jet engine on my dick.
02:26:17 You could do what I do with my son, just put a Cheerio in there and be like, hit the Cheerio.
02:26:21 That's good target practice.
02:26:22 So easy.
02:26:23 I always used to try and hit the X in the urinals in school and then pops back up.
02:26:26 Splashes, yeah.
02:26:27 There's a couple of moves you can do that probably lead themselves to sprinkling on
02:26:31 the seat a little bit.
02:26:32 One is like what Big Cat said, where you aim for the side of the porcelain so it's not
02:26:35 making the big splash sound.
02:26:36 The other is timing the flush to coincide with the end of your pee.
02:26:40 Oh yeah, do it all the time.
02:26:41 Which is so much fun to do.
02:26:42 But a lot of times you end up convincing yourself that you're already done peeing and you start
02:26:46 to back away and then you get a little on the rim.
02:26:49 Yeah, it's efficiency.
02:26:50 You could also offer him the sink.
02:26:56 I think that's problem solved.
02:26:58 I never noticed it in our other bathrooms, really other bathrooms we've been in, but
02:27:01 there is a lot of leakage.
02:27:03 It's Brandon Walker.
02:27:05 It's crazy.
02:27:06 He copped to it.
02:27:07 He accidentally...
02:27:08 It's crazy.
02:27:09 We were having the conversation a few days ago and we were like, "Yeah, there's a lot
02:27:11 of piss on the ground in front of the urinal."
02:27:13 And he's like, "Yeah, every time I dribble, I'm like, 'Wow, there's a lot of piss on the
02:27:16 ground.'"
02:27:17 I was like, "What did you just say?"
02:27:18 And he's like, "That's him.
02:27:19 It's him."
02:27:20 I would suspect if there's a significant amount of liquid on the floor in a bathroom, it would
02:27:24 be Max, given his recent history.
02:27:26 Yeah, no, it's Brandon.
02:27:27 Yeah.
02:27:28 It's Brandon.
02:27:29 Max, you're innocent.
02:27:30 Remember that one person that was putting their boogers on the wall at the old HQ in
02:27:34 New York?
02:27:35 Did we ever find out who that was?
02:27:37 We thought it was Mantis, but then it kept on going.
02:27:40 And I can't be mad at Mantis.
02:27:42 Mantis has my heart for life with what he did for the free throw challenge.
02:27:46 Yeah.
02:27:47 Threw him in heaven.
02:27:48 He could still be in this office.
02:27:49 He's doing a live stream that's not going to end until he hits 100 in a row.
02:27:54 Whoa.
02:27:55 How's he doing it?
02:27:56 Probably Young Mantis YouTube.
02:27:59 Okay.
02:28:01 What's up, PMT boys?
02:28:02 I'm an AWL in college.
02:28:04 I broke up with my boyfriend of three years before I left for college, but we are still
02:28:08 friends.
02:28:09 I met a guy at a party here.
02:28:11 We hooked up and are now friends with benefits.
02:28:15 I kind of like him, but don't know if he wants something serious.
02:28:19 He takes me on dates, but we also go out and party a ton with our friends.
02:28:23 Sounds awesome.
02:28:24 This sounds like dating.
02:28:27 This sounds like just being single in college.
02:28:29 The question is like, I'm single in college.
02:28:31 Your comments.
02:28:32 I don't believe.
02:28:33 Yeah.
02:28:34 This is so like you couldn't fake this.
02:28:35 I don't think if you tried.
02:28:37 I still talk to my ex and he says, that's crazy because he broke up with his ex at the
02:28:42 same time as me and they don't talk.
02:28:46 Why are you doing that with your hand?
02:28:48 I'm talking like she's writing it.
02:28:50 Okay.
02:28:51 Keep going.
02:28:52 Do you think he's into me?
02:28:58 Should I ask him if he is?
02:28:59 All right.
02:29:00 So I don't understand the question from what I understand.
02:29:02 She broke up with her boyfriend, went to college, hooked up with a guy at a party, goes on dates
02:29:07 with him sometimes and parties with him some other times.
02:29:10 Pretty crazy story.
02:29:11 And then he broke up with his girlfriend and they don't talk.
02:29:16 No.
02:29:18 I still talk to my ex and he says, that's crazy.
02:29:22 He being the friend with benefits.
02:29:25 Yeah.
02:29:26 But they're not dating.
02:29:27 And I think she's asking, do you think her ex is into her?
02:29:33 No.
02:29:34 No.
02:29:35 Wait, I got to finish.
02:29:36 All right.
02:29:37 Let me finish the whole thing.
02:29:38 Let me finish the whole thing.
02:29:39 I think it'll clear it up.
02:29:41 Do you think he's into me?
02:29:43 Should I ask him if he is?
02:29:45 Also his roommate asked to run a two man with my roommates, which is crazy.
02:29:49 And I don't think any of us are into that.
02:29:52 Thanks guys.
02:29:53 Love the pod.
02:29:55 I think if the question is, do you think he's into me and he's hooking up with you?
02:30:01 Probably.
02:30:02 Yeah.
02:30:03 I know he's technically yes.
02:30:04 Well, we don't know.
02:30:05 Times.
02:30:06 We don't know what hooking he's in into you and then out of you really quickly.
02:30:09 Yeah.
02:30:10 And then back into you again.
02:30:11 Sounds like you should just be single and maybe do the threesome thing.
02:30:15 No two man, two man, the two man, two man Tuesdays.
02:30:19 What do you say, Max?
02:30:20 I think that the guy likes her, but the guy also wants to fuck other girls.
02:30:25 Right.
02:30:26 So then just be single yourself.
02:30:27 Yeah.
02:30:28 Yeah.
02:30:29 Be single yourself.
02:30:30 It sounds like this is in college.
02:30:31 This is a great relationship that you're in right now where it's like not really dating
02:30:33 him.
02:30:34 Also, the roommate, the roommate that asked to run the two man was also just the guy telling
02:30:40 his roommate to ask because he wants to probably bang your right.
02:30:43 So stay single because you're going to get your heart broken if you fall for this guy.
02:30:46 Yeah.
02:30:47 If you end up liking him, just know that he's the kind of guy that wants to share you with
02:30:52 his roommate.
02:30:53 I don't know.
02:30:55 Share her roommate with his roommate.
02:30:57 There's a lot going on in this.
02:30:59 Yeah, there was a lot going on.
02:31:01 All right.
02:31:02 That it?
02:31:03 Yep.
02:31:04 All right.
02:31:05 Good show.

02:31:30 Ball still up top.
02:31:34 Where's Pug?
02:31:35 He's at a doctor's appointment.
02:31:37 Again, another vet.
02:31:38 Yeah.
02:31:39 Don't fuck this guy.
02:31:40 Okay.
02:31:41 92.
02:31:47 Love you guys.
