00:03 This video was recently captured on the beaches of Bexhill in the UK.
00:08 And what you're looking at aren't simply strange rock formations in the sand,
00:11 but rather fossilized dinosaur footprints that are more than a hundred million years old.
00:16 The video was captured by Vicky Ballinger while on a sunset walk with her kids.
00:20 Recent high tides and heavy rains had washed away much of the sand on the beach,
00:24 exposing the much older rock underneath.
00:26 That includes deposits containing eight dinosaur footprints,
00:30 each one perfectly preserved and hidden from human eyes.
00:33 And while they haven't been dated just yet,
00:35 experts say they could be around 140 million years old.
00:39 The area isn't a stranger to prehistoric discoveries,
00:42 with around 85 fossilized footprints having been found in the area in 2018 alone.
00:46 Those included more than seven species from the Cretaceous period,
00:50 with some even having preserved imprints of dinosaur skin.
00:53 Paleontologists are expected to begin their investigation soon,
00:57 and will no doubt determine the type of creature that made the prints.
01:00 In the meantime, Vicky has a guess, saying she believes the prints were left by an iguanodon.
