Bitcoin prices rallied this morning, hitting a record high of $71,000. News comes after the British financial watchdog announced it would allow exchanges to list cryptocurrency-linked exchange-traded products, for the first time ever. The Financial Conduct Authority said in a notice today it "would not object to requests from recognized investment exchanges to create a UK listed market segment for crypto-backed exchange traded notes". In the early hours on this Monday morning, around 4:30am EST bitcoin's price surged over 3% to $71,726, hitting an all time high.
