In Parachute, Riley (Courtney Eaton) is a fun and energetic young woman, but struggles with an eating disorder and body image issues. Ethan (Thomas Mann) is a once-promising musician in the end of his 20s. The two meet and just “click.” To Ethan, all of Riley’s flaws are beautiful, and he wants to help her see herself the way he does. Riley adores Ethan and is inspired by his talent and selflessness. Their relationship is a balancing act between their love for each other and their combustible personal issues. But they truly feel like soulmates and the world makes sense only when they take it on together.
Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect, X) directs Parachute, which she co-wrote with Becca Gleason. The film stars Courtney Eaton, Thomas Mann, Francesca Beale, with Gina Rodriguez, Joel McHale, Dave Bautista and Scott Mescudi.

00:00 I have always been pretty tiny, but I just had belly fat that I could not get rid of.
00:06 Here's what I eat in a day as a gluten-free vegan.
00:08 Here's a picture of me now.
00:10 Hey, you good?
00:19 I'm good. You?
00:21 Yeah.
00:22 Riley.
00:23 Ethan.
00:24 So I just got out of, kind of like, rehab. I just can't date anyone.
00:28 Oh, okay.
00:29 Well, just hang.
00:30 Yeah, I had an eating thing. Body stuff, as well as other stuff.
00:34 You helped yourself. You should celebrate that.
00:37 Tell me what's been happening since rehab.
00:39 I made friends.
00:40 My therapist thinks I'm using you.
00:42 What? I use you.
00:44 Have you been going to the 12-step meetings?
00:48 I just don't really get how that's supposed to help me and switch off what my brain automatically does.
00:53 What does your brain do?
00:57 I just can't see you do this to yourself anymore.
00:59 Don't trust your brain, okay? If you want to know what you look like, just ask me and I'll tell you.
01:05 Sorry to break it to you, buddy, but this is not your job. Never was.
01:11 I help you. You help me. I need you. You need me. That's how it goes.
01:16 Don't text Ethan.
01:17 I can text whoever I want. You're always doing whatever you want. That's the problem.
01:21 You can't be always so concerned with what's wrong all the time, Ethan.
01:26 What are you even talking about?
01:27 I just want you to be happy.
01:28 Do you think this makes me happy?
01:31 You told me you loved me.
01:33 I wasn't lying.
01:34 I just didn't.
01:37 I'm so sorry.
01:40 I love you.
01:41 I love you.
01:43 I love you.
01:45 I love you.
01:46 I love you.
01:48 I love you.
01:52 I love you.
01:59 Do you still love me?
02:02 You have a past. I can appreciate that. You have sad eyes. I can relate to that.
02:10 can relate to that.
