00:00 I never spoke to so many presidents all at one time.
00:02 Some of you might know what a big speech like I have to do is coming up to the State of the Union.
00:06 Any advice you have for me in my delivering my speech?
00:09 Well, sir, in my capacity as president, all I had to deal with was a meteor.
00:16 [laughter]
00:17 One of the things that I came out of that with in my speech to people is hope.
00:25 Hope is the strongest force we have on this country.
00:28 Well, Mr. President, you know, looking back at my own presidency, I behaved very badly in a lot of situations.
00:38 In preparation for your speech, there was just one sort of piece of advice that meant a lot to me when I was president.
00:45 And so I just wanted to share that really quick with you.
00:48 Tell them that you exist for them. Tell them that they make you a better man.
00:55 You know, when I was president, it seemed like every week there was some new crisis that I had to face.
01:02 You did a hell of a job.
01:04 [laughter]
01:05 Thank you.
01:07 There's no crying in politics.
01:09 Well, what I hope is my politics doesn't make anybody else cry.
01:14 [laughter]
01:17 In Independence Day, I had it easy.
01:22 You know, we just had invaders from outer space coming in wanting to mess with us, and that tends to unify people.
01:30 Come see me at the White House.
01:32 I'm very serious. I'd love to meet you all in person.
01:34 Thank you.
01:35 Thank you very much.
