00:00 We're here with our visionary, Maren Morris.
00:03 What does being a visionary mean to you?
00:06 I don't quite feel like I can hold the title,
00:09 but I have a lot of visions and delusions.
00:12 So I'm glad that I'm being honored for them tonight.
00:15 Have you ever heard the phrase being
00:17 de lulu is the solulu?
00:18 Solulu.
00:19 We're leaning hard into it.
00:22 Yeah, I love it.
00:23 Also performing tonight.
00:25 Are you excited?
00:26 What can we expect?
00:27 I'm doing a sort of laid back version,
00:30 because it's the five year anniversary of my single girl.
00:32 And it just felt like, I don't know,
00:34 it's the Billboard Women's event.
00:35 Let's do girl and honor this anniversary.
00:38 And it just really encapsulates what this evening is about,
00:42 which is like female empowerment.
00:44 We're badass bitches.
00:45 That's what's up.
00:46 Yeah.
00:46 Yes.
00:47 And you've said that the phrase that's really resonating
00:49 with you lately is letting go.
00:51 And that's something that I'm trying to learn in my own life.
00:54 What advice do you have for letting go of expectations,
00:57 letting go of attachments, things like that?
01:00 I think-- I don't know if I can give that advice,
01:03 because I'm still letting go of a lot of stuff.
01:05 But I would just say, it can't get worse.
01:09 So you might as well drop that dead weight.
01:13 It can only get better.
01:14 It only goes up from there, 100%.
01:15 You just released a video for Dancing With Myself,
01:18 which I loved.
01:18 It was so much fun.
01:19 Let me ask you this.
01:20 You're getting ready for an event like this.
01:21 You've got music on.
01:22 You're dancing by yourself.
01:23 What's your go to song when you're dancing by yourself?
01:25 Actually, getting ready tonight, it was Texas Hold 'Em, Beyonce.
01:29 Come on now.
01:30 Yeah.
01:31 Got to represent Texas in the house.
01:34 Yeah, that one gets me moving.
01:35 Simply nothing Beyonce can't do.
01:38 Just going into country so casually and killing it.
01:40 So good.
01:41 I know.
01:41 And she just knows how to bring it to 11 every single time.
01:45 I'm just-- I'm so proud.
01:47 I know her.
01:47 I'm so proud of her.
01:48 Should we just do that together?
01:49 We're so proud of you, Beyonce.
01:50 We're so proud of you, Beyonce.
01:51 As your personal close friend.
01:52 I know that means a lot.
01:54 No, but I think-- and I've said this in an interview before,
01:58 but her really, in a very purposeful way,
02:01 reclaiming country music to black people
02:04 because they invented the genre is
02:07 so astounding and important.
02:09 So, I mean, Sleigh.
02:11 Sleigh.
02:12 Well, thank you so much, Maren.
02:13 You're a major Sleigh, always.
02:14 Thank you.
02:15 Thank you so much.
02:15 Have a great night.
02:16 We'll be cheering you on.
02:17 Yes, congratulations.
