00:26 We have found the negotiations to be useful. They confirmed the importance of regular political
00:33 dialogue between our countries, and the relations between Russia and Nigeria continue to develop
00:40 gradually. We have a common goal to strengthen this trend. This applies to all spheres of
00:48 our relations, primarily trade and economy, and the most promising areas. We have noted
00:55 cooperation in energy, infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, and the development of the
01:15 region. We have agreed that we will pay constant attention to this process and provide the necessary
01:22 organizational and diplomatic support for the establishment and expansion of the region.
01:32 Thank you very much. Very good afternoon. Just as Minister Lavrov has outlined, we have
01:41 had very fruitful and meaningful discussions. The relations between Nigeria and Russia are
01:48 historic. The frameworks already exist, so it is just a matter of continuing with what
02:06 already exists. We have a joint commission in place between the two countries. A meeting will be
02:11 coming up soon. And within that framework, there are several efforts that are going to be taken to
02:20 improve trade relations, to improve military cooperation. We have, of course, a committee that is
02:33 going to be constituted soon that will continue with all of that. We have collaboration vis-Ã -vis
02:38 nuclear science, which has different applications, power in the field of medicine, and so on and so
02:49 forth. And these are things that Nigeria is very keen to see happen.
03:01 Within, of course, the regional context and global context, we share the same feelings because we have
03:06 very many similarities. We are both multicultural nations, so it is easier for us to understand
03:17 multiculturalism within the present global context.
