A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a ten-year-old girl was discovered dead in Rowley Regis. Officers found the child with injuries at an address in Robin Close on Monday. A 33-year-old woman - understood to be known to the girl - was taken into custody for questioning.

A man and a woman have been jailed for their involvement in running a County Lines drugs line around Birmingham. Mohsin Ali and Haleema Akhtar were sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court.

Thousands of new homes and a major business park are set to be built in Longbridge as the next stage of the area's development scheme takes shape. The project includes 350 homes and business premises creating 5,000 new jobs.
