00:00 This is every trick that Minecraft pros use.
00:02 So if you're a pro, let's see how many of these you do.
00:05 And here's also how to do them.
00:06 Corrospruit is a tough food source to justify.
00:08 And not because of anything with the saturation,
00:11 but because of the teleportation.
00:12 Usually it's just too risky to use this
00:14 when you're not trying to teleport somewhere.
00:16 That is, unless you eat one of these underwater.
00:18 Strange as it may seem,
00:19 by just putting yourself underneath the body of water,
00:22 then you can eat as much corrospruit as you want
00:24 without ever having to teleport from that place.
00:26 And I don't know why this happens,
00:27 but I'm also not gonna question it
00:29 if it means that I can survive in the end.
00:31 If you're looking for a quick way to the mountaintops,
00:33 then cake horse ladders work plenty fast.
00:35 I mean, in the past,
00:36 when we tested the fastest way to sky limit,
00:38 this method ranked up in the top five best.
00:40 But now we can make the staircase even faster
00:43 through the help of drip stones.
00:44 By alternating between drip stone and partially eaten cake,
00:47 we're able to get an even steeper incline
00:49 that lets us climb up at some crazy speeds.
00:51 Sure, it's gonna take a while
00:52 to get all the resources to do this.
00:54 So if you're looking to eat a bunch of cake,
00:55 then this investment's gonna pay off.
00:57 And it's also the perfect combination
00:59 of weird and practical,
01:00 which that alone is worth a try.
01:01 Skeleton spawners are a valuable asset to have on hand,
01:04 but we're now able to upgrade this good thing
01:06 into something even better.
01:07 Now, by adding in powdered snow,
01:09 we're able to turn our skeleton farm into a stray spawner.
01:12 Now, you might ask why we would do this,
01:14 but it only takes one look at the loot table comparison
01:17 to see just how much these slow skeletons can drop.
01:20 And that's all upsides, folks,
01:21 especially when all it takes to make the change
01:23 is just some powdered snow and cobwebs.
01:25 And at that point, it's a no-brainer.
01:27 Stop using a regular hoe to farm your crops,
01:29 since by just adding fortune to that same tool,
01:31 that'll drastically increase your drop rates of crops
01:34 when you harvest them.
01:35 And that's also not the part
01:36 that wastes the durability of the hoe,
01:37 making this even more efficient and cost-effective too.
01:40 When you see an exploding creeper, what do you do?
01:42 Yeah, I'd run away too,
01:43 but let's say that's less of an option here.
01:45 And if you don't have yourself a shield, don't worry,
01:47 because if you just have a block
01:49 and you place it between your feet and the creeper's,
01:51 that'll prevent next to all of the damage
01:53 that you would've taken from the blast,
01:54 since the way that Minecraft calculates explosion damage,
01:57 it's based off of a ray that's cast from the creeper
01:59 to the bottom of your hit box, in this case, our feet.
02:02 So if we block that off, we'll take way less of the damage.
02:05 And this will also work for things
02:06 like TNT and end crystals too,
02:08 regardless of the block, might I add.
02:10 Even with the new glow lichen on the walls,
02:12 lighting up these caves is still a mega task.
02:14 So why don't we try night vision potions instead?
02:17 Though that's got its own issue.
02:18 Potions don't stack, so they're gonna take a lot of room.
02:21 So instead of sacrificing storage for bottles,
02:24 why don't we just use night vision arrows instead?
02:25 After you craft a chunk of these,
02:27 you can simply hit yourself with a dose
02:29 and get right back to exploring.
02:30 Sure, it's a bit more painful,
02:32 but that's a small price to pay for seeing in the dark.
02:34 And a stack will give you plenty of time to do that.
02:36 A lot of players will argue between using things
02:38 like steak or golden carrots for food,
02:40 but if you got the time to craft it,
02:42 I'd actually say that suspicious stew is the option.
02:44 Since you're just a dandelion mixed in
02:45 with your traditional mushroom stew,
02:47 you only have to eat one of these
02:48 to fill up your entire hunger bar.
02:50 And not to mention,
02:51 since it does it through the saturation effect,
02:53 you're also gonna heal pretty well off of this too,
02:55 making this indispensable for PVP battles.
02:58 You know what pros do?
02:59 Dig straight down.
03:00 I'm being completely serious.
03:01 But they don't do it like this.
03:03 See, if you wanna make digging straight down
03:04 into a totally safe operation,
03:06 then all you gotta do is just stand in
03:07 between two blocks like this
03:08 and then dig both of them down one at a time.
03:10 That way, if one of the two holes
03:12 leads you into a lava lake or a ravine,
03:14 you'll still be standing on the other one safe.
03:16 And yes, that's your cue to stop digging straight down.
03:18 Though if you were a real pro,
03:19 you wouldn't dig down at all, at least not yet.
03:22 Since if you were to instead spend your time
03:24 looking for things like shipwreck
03:25 and buried treasure chest up on the surface,
03:27 you'll have a much higher chance
03:28 of getting diamonds for your rewards.
03:30 I mean, in one of these buried treasure chests,
03:32 there's a 59% chance that you'll find
03:34 at least one to two diamonds,
03:35 which is a lot better than the 0% chance
03:37 that I seem to have of finding any down
03:39 in the mines by myself.
03:40 I'd rather take the easier option.
03:41 Auto-clickers are great for AFK,
03:43 but they're also not vanilla.
03:45 But that's fine.
03:46 We actually have a way to get an auto-clicker
03:47 inside of the regular Java game.
03:49 See, if you press F3 and T at the same time
03:51 that you're holding down your left mouse button,
03:53 then after the textures reload,
03:54 the game will still think
03:55 that it's registering the input,
03:57 even though my hands are completely off the keyboard.
03:59 As far as Minecraft knows,
04:00 I'm still there mining away
04:02 all of the cobblestone at my stone farm.
04:03 So if you're just starting out
04:04 in something like a Skyblock world,
04:06 this could be a way to get some early game resources.
04:08 And then you can come back to your computer
04:09 and actually play the fun parts.
04:11 If you need to get a lot of sand
04:12 and you're not allowed to use a sand duper,
04:14 then we should take a page out of Ethos book.
04:16 Since by just running in a line
04:17 with TNT and a flint and steel like this,
04:19 you should know that for every TNT block
04:21 that we're setting off,
04:22 we're getting nearly two stacks of sand per.
04:24 And folks, it only takes four sand to craft the same TNT.
04:27 And sure, we're spending sand to get sand,
04:29 but with returns like this,
04:31 any investment broker would tell you to make it.
04:33 And the only thing you gotta look out for here
04:35 is placing down too much TNT
04:37 to where all the sand that's dropping
04:38 actually starts to despawn if you forget about it.
04:41 But as long as you remember to take breaks
04:42 to go pick some of that up,
04:43 you're gonna get a lot of returns this method.
04:45 If you've ever built with blocks that have an orientation,
04:47 you're well aware that they're annoying to replace midair.
04:50 So to fix that, we should mention
04:51 that it's actually possible to just double click
04:54 the left click and the right click button at the same time.
04:56 And as long as you instantly mind the block,
04:58 you'll be able to change the rotation
05:00 without placing any support blocks for it,
05:02 which can be great for correcting your mistakes
05:03 that you placed on that stairs for the roof,
05:05 or even just for rotating your bamboo right
05:07 so that it looks good for the window.
05:08 And as long as you got the right efficiency tools to do this,
05:11 it'll save you a lot of time.
05:12 How do you craft your diamond tools?
05:14 I know that sounds like a silly question.
05:15 Obviously you just craft them based off the recipe,
05:18 but how you lay out that recipe could change.
05:20 And taking a page out of "Mysticats" book,
05:22 what we could do is put all of our materials
05:24 into the crafting recipe in just one step.
05:26 So then first we craft the pickaxe,
05:28 then the hoe, and finally the shovel.
05:30 And you can do the same for armor too.
05:32 And when you're in a dire situation like a PVP tournament,
05:35 this little bit of a time save could be great for you,
05:37 especially when your opponent's also trying
05:38 to get kitted up themselves.
05:40 This way we can equip first
05:41 and be able to deal with them that way.
05:43 You know what's one of the fastest ways
05:44 to travel in "Minecraft"?
05:45 And I'll give you a hint,
05:46 it's nothing like an Elytra or an Iceboat Highway,
05:49 but really one of the fastest ways to travel
05:51 is just using spectator mode.
05:52 Since when you change your scroll wheel up to the max speed,
05:55 we can start going incredibly fast, especially vertically,
05:58 or scroll it all the way down and move at a snail's pace,
06:01 which is great for fine tuning your location
06:03 if you need it for a specific command or shot.
06:05 And really, if you're able to play with creative mode,
06:07 there's no reason that you should ever be moving around
06:09 in just the creative mode like this.
06:11 If you need to cover a lot of distance,
06:12 just toggle yourself into spectator mode,
06:14 move over, and then toggle back to creative.
06:16 Trust me, it'll save you a lot of time.
06:18 "Minecraft" villagers are stupid.
06:19 I would wait for a gasp from the audience,
06:21 but I don't think anyone's offended by that statement.
06:23 And unfortunately,
06:24 they're also pretty useful with their trades.
06:26 So to keep your villagers alive
06:27 from the next time that a zombie siege might happen,
06:30 you should know that through the help of a dispenser,
06:32 you're actually able to equip armor
06:33 into their secret inventory.
06:35 And sure, you can't see it rendered
06:36 on top of the villagers,
06:37 but if you give them armor that's enchanted with thorns,
06:40 then you can punch them
06:41 and definitely tell that it's still there.
06:42 And that way, you give them a way to defend themselves,
06:44 even if they don't have the iron golem anymore,
06:46 since we usually tend to kill those off
06:49 for other reasons anyway.
06:50 Stop killing animals like this.
06:52 And no, that's not a moral argument.
06:53 We're actually gonna suggest it's so much worse.
06:56 But if you use a flint and steel
06:57 to burn the mob before you kill it,
06:58 then when you use your ax or a sword,
07:00 it'll still drop a cooked version of the meat item.
07:02 And there you go.
07:03 Just for the cost of a flint and an iron,
07:05 you give yourself 64 chances to get cooked food this way
07:08 and never have to waste anything on furnaces or fuel.
07:10 And perhaps the most valuable resource
07:12 that this saves you is time,
07:13 since cooking up a pork chop regularly
07:15 would take 20 seconds in the microwave.
07:17 Whereas this is just as simple
07:18 as killing them the first time.
07:20 And once you get it down, it's gonna feel second nature.
07:22 So better start getting that learning curve
07:24 out of the way early.
07:25 Did you know that ladders can be useful in PVP?
07:27 Yeah, it sounds ridiculous,
07:28 but there's one very specific feature about ladders
07:30 that makes them indispensable in certain situations.
07:33 Take a look at this.
07:33 If you place down a three block tall wall
07:35 and then place ladders on top of it,
07:37 then you can place blocks off of the ladder behind you
07:40 without even looking away from it.
07:41 And if you're playing something like Bed Wars
07:43 where you're walking on very thin bridges,
07:44 that little bit of a roadblock could be all it takes
07:47 to knock your biggest enemy into the void.
07:49 So while speed bridging and towering might look cooler,
07:51 it might not be a bad idea
07:52 to also buy a few of these ladders.
07:54 It only has to save you once to be worth it.
07:56 If you're playing on a hardcore single-player world,
07:58 this could be one of the most useful tips in the video.
08:00 See, when you're in a difficult situation and about to die,
08:02 then instead of just pressing the escape key
08:04 to pause the game, press F3 and then the escape key.
08:07 That'll still pause your single-player world,
08:09 but the menu won't appear.
08:10 And now you have full vision
08:12 to be able to analyze your situation.
08:13 Is this cheating?
08:14 Well, I'll leave that for you to decide.
08:16 After all, it is a single-player world,
08:18 so it's literally never gonna have anything to do with me.
08:20 Stop using arrows in PvP,
08:22 since you really should be using fireworks.
08:24 Now, not only will these deal more damage on impact,
08:26 but they're also a great way to disorient the player.
08:28 Think about it, you're running into a combat situation
08:30 and all of a sudden you got candy-colored lights
08:32 filling up your vision like a Christmas tree.
08:34 It's the closest we have to a smoke bomb in Minecraft.
08:37 And plus, if you manage to kill someone
08:39 while they're inside of a firework,
08:40 I think that just adds insult to injury.
08:42 If you got resources, but you don't have a lot of time,
08:44 then I should let you know
08:45 that if you wanted to tame a horse,
08:47 you could do it instantaneously.
08:48 It's just gonna cost you 10 golden apples,
08:50 which I'm not even gonna sugarcoat it.
08:52 That's obviously more expensive
08:53 than just taking the time to do this,
08:55 but that's why it's something that only pros do.
08:57 The wither isn't an easy fight,
08:58 especially on Bedrock Edition,
09:00 but that's only when you spawn it like this.
09:02 Since if we were to take our wither
09:04 and put it horizontally underneath the return portal
09:06 in the end, it'll be trapped inside of the bedrock.
09:09 And it would harm us or anything around us.
09:12 It doesn't even leave a big explosion like it usually does.
09:14 And at that point you could kill it yourself,
09:16 or you could summon in a couple of iron golems nearby
09:18 and have them do the job for you.
09:20 Or my personal favorite way of using that same iron
09:23 to place down this hopper minecart entity cramming killer.
09:26 It might be a little loud,
09:27 but it definitely gets the job done.
09:29 This is one of the most useful features in Minecraft,
09:31 and it's off by default.
09:33 But when you go into the accessibility settings
09:35 and turn on the subtitles,
09:36 then you can use those for valuable information
09:38 about the world around you.
09:39 So even if you don't hear something quite right
09:41 out of your headphones,
09:42 you'll still be able to see that sure enough,
09:44 there's lava popping nearby
09:46 and even which direction it comes from,
09:48 allowing you to much easier find things like lava lakes,
09:50 blazes, and so much more.
09:52 And it's also a good way to catch your friends' pranks
09:54 before they happen.
09:55 Really for how much screen real estate
09:56 that we're giving up here,
09:57 this subtitle feature more than makes up for it.
10:00 We've talked in the past about the fastest way to fly
10:02 with an elytra,
10:02 but what about the furthest way to fly with an elytra?
10:05 Well, if you want to start talking about angles and degrees,
10:07 you should know that if you fly 40 degrees downwards
10:09 and then 40 degrees upwards,
10:11 that zigzagging will allow you to fly much longer distances.
10:14 And honestly, I just love doing this
10:15 because it reminds me of Super Mario World.
10:17 Instead of using scaffolding
10:19 to build yourself across an area,
10:20 here's why you should use slime blocks.
10:22 Because while they might be slow to move on top of,
10:24 they're definitely not slow to break.
10:26 Even with just your fist,
10:27 you can instant mine through slime blocks.
10:29 I mean, you could do the same with TNT too,
10:31 but something tells me that slime blocks
10:33 are a lot safer than that alternative.
10:34 And then if you fall off your pillar,
10:36 you also have that solution right in your offhand.
10:38 Place one of those down
10:39 and you'll have successfully clutched yourself
10:41 back to safety.
10:41 Normally in Minecraft, Steve jumps 1.15 blocks tall,
10:45 which means he could jump one block
10:46 with a little bit of clearance over it.
10:48 But all of that's pointless,
10:49 since with this Bedwars tip,
10:50 we can actually find a way to get ourselves up
10:52 three blocks high in about as long
10:54 as it would have taken us for a regular jump.
10:56 All you have to do is sprint,
10:57 place a block underneath, jump,
10:59 and then place two blocks underneath yourself.
11:01 And off of just that simple maneuver,
11:02 you can do this fast and get three blocks of jump height.
11:05 So if you got three blocks, you can jump three blocks.
11:07 I think that's a good trade-off.
11:09 If you don't yet have the Mending enchantment,
11:10 you'll want to pay attention to this,
11:12 because when you take those non-enchanted items
11:14 and mix them together like this,
11:15 it's not just the two durabilities that add up,
11:17 but rather that repaired item
11:19 will have the sum of the two items durability,
11:21 plus an additional bonus of 5%.
11:23 And hey, you did all of that without consuming any XP,
11:25 which I, again, think is pretty useful.
11:27 So if you're getting a lot of armor drops
11:28 from your mob farm,
11:29 this could be a good way to bring the back up to usefulness.
11:32 Since even if these two items
11:33 wouldn't add up to a full durability item,
11:35 with that 5% repair bonus,
11:37 it goes right up to clean and pristine,
11:39 all of which without ever having to touch an anvil.
11:41 If you have trouble fighting mobs at night,
11:43 then you might want to brew up some weakness potions.
11:45 Since surprisingly so,
11:46 these can render a lot of mobs completely useless.
11:49 And you'll see as much if we use it on a zombie.
11:50 They will still do their attack animation.
11:52 However, you don't even receive a damage tick
11:54 or a knockback when they do it.
11:55 And folks, that's on hard difficulties.
11:58 And it's not just zombies either.
11:59 This will happen for slime, spiders, and even silverfish.
12:02 And perhaps my favorite yet,
12:03 if you use a weakness potion on a cave spider,
12:06 that'll prevent it from poisoning you too,
12:07 which really makes these ankle biters
12:09 seem a lot less intimidating when you use it like that.
12:11 It can often be tough
12:12 to make an inescapable trap in Minecraft,
12:14 especially when they got end game gear.
12:16 Though the new lava cauldrons
12:17 might just give us the perfect solution.
12:19 Now by themselves, they behave just as regular lava,
12:22 but when partnered with honey blocks,
12:23 these become a lot more dangerous.
12:25 Since you're still affected by the honey's sticky qualities
12:27 while you're in the cauldron,
12:28 the player can't jump out of the pot to save themselves.
12:31 And there you have it.
12:32 Just with these two blocks,
12:33 we made a trap that you simply can't jump out of.
12:35 And if you pair this with a fall trap,
12:37 you'll be sure to stick your foe right in the hot seat.
12:39 And for their sake, I hope they packed a potion.
12:41 If you're building your mob farm without an armor stand,
12:43 then you're doing it wrong.
12:44 Since strange as it may sound,
12:46 having an armor stand set up like this
12:48 in the middle of your mob farm
12:49 makes it so that when you use a sweeping edge sword,
12:51 you don't have to worry about wasting
12:52 one of your swings on dying mobs.
12:54 Since anytime that you attack a mob with sweeping edge
12:56 and it dies on the spot,
12:57 then it just absorbs the attack without doing anything else.
13:00 But attacking an armor stand alleviates this.
13:02 And that gives us the best option for crowd control.
13:04 And it also means that if you're swiping at the armor stand,
13:07 you're not gonna take any thorns damage
13:08 from any mobs that happen to spawn with it.
13:10 So if all it costs is a training dummy
13:12 to help you deal with these other dummies,
13:13 then that's something I'm willing to take.
13:15 Now I know that most of us would avoid quartz
13:16 until we need things like imperators or daylight detectors.
13:19 But in truth, even if you have no plans of building with it,
13:22 it's still a good block to mine.
13:23 Truth be told, Nether quartz ore drops so much XP
13:26 that when you don't have yourself a proper XP farm,
13:28 this would be a great way to get yourself up
13:30 into the higher levels.
13:31 I mean, for just about 20 to 30 minutes of your time,
13:33 you can go from zero to level 30, just like that.
13:36 And even though we're still doing this in the Nether,
13:37 I think you'll still find this as much safer
13:39 than having to kill the equivalent amount of mobs
13:41 in the overworld.
13:42 You wanna know the fastest way to trade in Minecraft?
13:44 And I'll give you a hint,
13:45 it doesn't use any kind of big system like this.
13:47 But rather the most useful tidbit that you can know
13:49 just relies on the space bar.
13:51 The way you do it is simple.
13:52 You click on the trade you wanna do, you click the item,
13:54 and then you hit space bar to refill the commodities
13:57 that the villager wants.
13:58 And just like that,
13:59 repeating a cycle of going space bar, click, space bar,
14:01 click, we can completely trade through the villagers options
14:04 before it needs to restock.
14:05 And while this gets particularly helpful
14:06 if you're trying to batch a lot of trades
14:08 with something like a Fletcher,
14:09 if you have villagers existed in your world
14:11 from older versions,
14:12 then they might be bugged in a way
14:13 where they can trade infinitely.
14:15 And then when you use this trick,
14:16 you're pretty much set for life.
14:17 So if you got the key on your keyboard,
14:19 you might as well use it.
14:20 Before you grow the tree with bone meal,
14:21 throw an ender pearl up to the sky
14:23 so that when you bone meal it,
14:24 you'll land on the top of the tree.
14:25 At which point you don't have to worry
14:27 about making yourself a staircase up
14:28 as you're cutting down the tree.
14:29 You can just take it all down in one go.
14:31 Just make sure to have yourself
14:32 a nice pair of feather falling boots.
14:33 Otherwise all the time that you would have saved
14:35 is gonna be wasted having to die
14:36 to the end of pearls fall damage.
14:38 I feel like lily pads are an often forgotten block
14:40 in Minecraft.
14:41 And more often than not,
14:42 they're just end up being a nuisance
14:43 when you're trying to navigate through the swamp on a boat.
14:46 But the truth is,
14:46 if you happen to grab some of these
14:47 and keep them in your inventory,
14:49 then it's possible that if you come across a body of water,
14:51 all you have to do is just sprint and jump
14:53 and then place the lily pad underneath your feet.
14:55 And you'll have yourself an easy way
14:56 to scale a body of water,
14:57 regardless of how deep it is.
14:59 All the trapdoors are made out of wood.
15:00 They don't burn in lava.
15:02 Yeah, I don't get the logic either,
15:03 but we don't have to understand it
15:05 to know that we can use this
15:06 to get ourselves quite a bit of diamonds.
15:07 Since whenever you come across a lava pool,
15:09 all you have to do is just bring around
15:10 a crimson or warp trapdoor like this
15:12 and then flip it open to get yourself the diamonds
15:14 at the bottom of the lava lake.
15:16 Just be careful,
15:17 'cause even if the trapdoor doesn't burn,
15:18 your diamonds definitely could.
15:19 Mud makes for a great building block.
15:21 So it's something that you want.
15:22 But getting mud like this is definitely a pain.
15:25 So rather, we should take after this example
15:27 and convert all of our mud in a body of water.
15:29 By placing all of your dirt in a row like so,
15:31 we can then offhand the water bottle
15:33 and then hold a shovel in our main hand
15:34 so that when we hit right and left click
15:36 at the same time while moving forward,
15:37 we both convert the dirt to mud and collect it.
15:40 And while it could definitely take a few tries
15:41 to get it to sink up properly,
15:42 once you do, it's hard to look at this comparison
15:45 and say that you're not saving time.
15:46 It's a lot more satisfying and a lot simpler.
15:48 I'll take both of those.
15:49 Before you spend a single iron ingot
15:51 on making yourself armor,
15:52 you should instead craft yourself a shield
15:54 for the low price of a single iron ingot.
15:56 Now, they require you to do more than armor
15:58 to keep you protected.
15:59 There's many cases where just holding up your shield
16:01 can save you from a lot more than diamond armor would.
16:03 And not just zombies and skeletons,
16:05 but creepers also get nullified pretty hard by this too,
16:08 making this a practical choice when you start out.
16:10 And if you don't yet have the iron
16:11 to make yourself a shield,
16:12 then you could still put those five oak planks
16:14 to use in a different way.
16:15 I'm serious, but just crafting a boat,
16:17 we can save ourselves from a ton of damage.
16:19 For instance, if a hostile mob's coming towards you,
16:21 just place down the boat
16:22 and you'll be stuck in place,
16:23 which is especially useful for things
16:25 like slippery mobs like Enderman.
16:26 Or if you don't have yourself a water bucket
16:28 that you can clutch with,
16:29 just place down the boat, row it off,
16:30 and you'll be completely safe when you reach the ground.
16:32 So even if you didn't spawn next to an ocean
16:34 where you'd need one of these,
16:35 I think you'll find it'd be just as useful on shore
16:37 as it would have been on the water.
16:38 To build your cow farm like this,
16:40 you're doing it inefficiently.
16:41 And instead, what you should do
16:42 is you should bait your cows
16:43 into a one-by-one hole like this
16:45 with a hopper and a chest underneath them
16:47 so that when you continuously breed them,
16:49 that entity cramming limit's gonna kick in.
16:51 And after you have 24 cows in your farm,
16:53 eventually it'll start to kill off the other cows
16:55 and you'll have a fully functional automatic farm
16:57 without even needing that big of a footprint.
16:59 This Minecraft crop farm might look nice,
17:01 but it's inefficient,
17:03 since the way that it is in the game's code,
17:05 you actually get better results from your crop farm
17:06 if you plant them in rows like so.
17:08 And honestly, we should've known
17:09 that this was in the game from the beginning,
17:11 considering the fact that village farms
17:12 are planted this way as well.
17:14 Maybe those Squidwards have more going on
17:15 inside their head than just a big nose,
17:17 since this could be really useful
17:19 if you don't have bone meal yet
17:20 to speed up the process in an auto farm.
17:22 Here's the best way to kill blazes,
17:23 since with a looting three sword in your main hand
17:25 and snowballs in your offhand,
17:26 we're able to throw those at the blazes in the spawner
17:29 and still get the looting effect applied to them,
17:31 which without a doubt is one of the cheapest ways
17:32 to get looting attached to your weapon.
17:34 It doesn't even take a hit to the sword's durability.
17:36 And while you can unfortunately
17:37 only hold 16 snowballs at a time while doing this,
17:40 with how effective snowballs are against blazes,
17:42 you're still gonna be all right.
17:43 And as long as you save some of the snowballs
17:45 to make a snow golem farm back home,
17:47 it's also renewable and you can't beat that.
17:49 Ever since 1.16, AFK fish farms have been nerfed.
17:52 I'm not gonna deny that.
17:54 But what they lack in treasure,
17:55 they still have a lot to offer.
17:56 For one, fish.
17:58 But there's also plenty of experience points
18:00 that you can get from fishing as well.
18:01 And when it's this easy to build,
18:02 there's really no reason to not have one of these
18:04 in your world, especially if you place it
18:05 next to another place where you need to AFK.
18:07 That way you're activating two farms at once,
18:10 which alone would be a good deal,
18:11 which is made all the better
18:12 by how much food you're able to get from this method.
18:14 Just waterlog a fence,
18:15 place down a golden pressure plate on top,
18:17 and then with an iron trap door
18:18 and a note block placed like so,
18:20 we'll have ourself an infinite food farm,
18:22 regardless of where you put this in your world.
18:24 When we talk about Minecraft traps,
18:25 cake probably isn't top of your list,
18:27 but here's why it should be.
18:28 Since silly as it may seem,
18:29 if you trap your friend in a case of cake like this
18:32 and then replace the floor underneath them
18:33 with a piece of soul sand,
18:35 then when we add in a water source block,
18:36 we'll have trapped them inside of a bubble stream.
18:38 And just that little bit of bouncing around
18:40 is gonna make it very tough to break the cake.
18:42 And at that point, they're best way out
18:43 is if they're hungry,
18:44 which I've never seen anyone eat a full cake in Minecraft,
18:46 so they might be there for a while.
18:48 If you're like me,
18:49 then you're terrible with a bow and arrow.
18:50 And unfortunately for us,
18:51 that makes it really tough
18:52 to get this advancement for the bullseye.
18:54 Don't worry, this will make it simple.
18:56 Since all we need to do is put a trap door
18:57 on top of our target block,
18:58 shoot an arrow right into the center,
19:00 and then once we're within 30 blocks away,
19:02 we can have either a friend
19:03 or a redstone flip the trap door open,
19:05 at which point it counts as if we shot the arrow
19:07 from back here and we easily get the advancement.
19:09 And hey, you can do the same
19:10 for the sniper dual achievement as well.
19:12 Just switch out the target block
19:13 for a different kind of target.
19:15 Easy as that.
19:15 As soon as you start to get resources
19:17 that you need to smelt,
19:18 you should not be wasting time
19:19 individually putting them into different furnaces.
19:22 Instead, with the help of the chest boat,
19:23 we're able to position one of these
19:25 on top of a bed of hoppers
19:26 so that it'll evenly disperse all of our items
19:29 across all of these different furnaces.
19:30 And just like that,
19:31 we're smelting nine times faster
19:33 than we would in a regular smelter.
19:34 Change them out for blast furnaces,
19:36 it goes up to 18 times faster.
19:38 And then by doing something like puffing fish HQ
19:40 shows off in this design,
19:41 we can have another chest minecart go around the outside
19:43 and fill up all of our furnaces with fuel.
19:45 And don't worry, they store the XP.
19:47 So when you eventually go through
19:49 and break all these furnaces,
19:50 you're still gonna get the rewards that you want.
19:52 There's really no downside to doing this.
19:54 And if you're looking to find the iron
19:55 to build that simple super smelter,
19:57 your best bet isn't to find it down in the caves.
19:59 Since of the ways that ores generate
20:00 since the caves and cliffs update,
20:02 you're actually gonna have pretty good luck
20:03 finding this up in the mountains.
20:04 And if I'm being honest,
20:05 even if that was true,
20:07 I wouldn't wanna go dig inside of a mountain
20:08 to find my iron.
20:09 But the good news is you don't even need to.
20:11 I'm just mining iron on the surface of the mountains.
20:14 You can end up with stacks of the stuff.
20:16 And not to mention it's a lot safer
20:17 than heading down into a dark cave.
20:19 You can also find coal up here too,
20:20 just so you have something to smell
20:22 all that iron that you're getting.
20:23 Lighting up your base is great,
20:24 but you never wanna be too obvious about it.
20:26 Having a torch on the ground doesn't look the best,
20:28 is what I'm trying to say.
20:29 But luckily there is a way for us to hide it.
20:31 Since we placed down a torch
20:32 and then have an armor stand entity drop on top of it,
20:34 then after you suit up that armor stand
20:36 with whatever armor of your choice,
20:37 then you'll have successfully made
20:39 hidden lighting within your base.
20:40 Well, I'm not saying that you should go
20:42 and spam a bunch of armor stands around your base.
20:44 That looks more awkward than torches.
20:45 I think looking for little alternatives like this
20:47 can really make a difference when you can.
20:48 Every time that you see a hopper,
20:50 there's a hidden cost of fire of iron ingots and a chest.
20:52 But what if I told you that a way to cut down on this
20:54 is just use the chest and forget the hopper.
20:56 Instead, alternating like this lets us cut down
20:59 on how much iron that we have to spend.
21:00 And the hoppers and chest will still flow
21:02 the way that we're used to.
21:03 So if you haven't yet set up that iron farm,
21:05 this would be the choice that I'd pick for you.
21:06 Here's how to turn your relays into a deadly weapon.
21:09 Since even though they can't equip it,
21:10 if you give them a piece of thorns armor to hold onto,
21:13 then any mobs that try to attack them
21:15 will also take damage from that.
21:16 And as you can see in this example from Razeworks,
21:18 if you tie your relay to a lead
21:19 and then have a mob attack you,
21:21 you might just have yourself
21:22 the deadliest balloon in Minecraft.
21:23 But if you do want to try this out,
21:25 I have to give one warning,
21:26 which is that even though the relays
21:27 tend to regenerate a lot of health,
21:29 there are still a few mobs that can kill them off.
21:31 So to keep them safe and on your side,
21:33 you might want to have a couple of relays doing this.
21:35 That way the damage is getting evenly dispersed
21:37 amongst the crowd.
21:37 And if you really need to keep your relays from dying,
21:40 then your real get out of jail free card here
21:42 is that if you give your relay a totem of undying,
21:44 then they can use it just like we would.
21:45 And there you go.
21:46 You take them from hardcore mode
21:48 right back into regular survival.
21:49 Or if the relay is not the only mob they want to keep safe,
21:52 then with the fox as well, you can do the same.
21:54 But unfortunately,
21:55 they're a little bit tougher to get the totem too.
21:56 Since for the fox,
21:57 you need to throw the totem onto the ground
21:59 for it to be picked up.
22:00 But once they have it,
22:01 it doesn't matter what kind of polar bear gets nearby.
22:03 They'll be left unscathed
22:04 and you'll have a very confused polar bear as well.
22:06 Snow golems melt in the desert.
22:07 That's not much of a surprise.
22:08 Even Frosty the Snowman could have told you that.
22:10 But what you might be surprised to know
22:12 is that if you use a fire resistance potion,
22:14 that'll allow your snow golems to survive in hot climates.
22:17 And yes, that even includes the nether,
22:19 as silly as it might seem.
22:20 So if you have a couple of these lying around
22:21 after a piglin bartering,
22:23 you could set up a couple of snow golems,
22:24 splash them with this,
22:25 and use those to help you eviscerate
22:27 through that blaze spawner.
22:28 Just get ready for the rude awakening
22:30 when the potion effect wears off
22:31 and you're left with nothing more
22:32 than a pile of snowballs in front of you.
22:34 I guess nothing good ever lasts, huh?
22:35 Here's how to make your boat self-driving.
22:37 All you gotta do is create a three by three area of water
22:39 and then place down a fence gate on this third block here.
22:41 At which point we can break these blocks
22:43 and cause the water to flow.
22:44 And we'll have given ourselves an automatic way
22:46 to drive our boats.
22:47 If you need to quickly get rid of some fire in the nether,
22:49 then a good way to do that
22:50 is by brewing up a couple of splash water bottles.
22:53 Since these not only extinguish ourselves
22:54 when we catch on fire,
22:55 but they can also clear this plus sign shape
22:57 out of the fire that catches on the ground.
22:59 So if you need to make sure that your items don't burn,
23:01 it might help to throw down one of these.
23:03 That way, even if you burn alive,
23:04 at least your stuff won't.
23:05 If you're building a farm,
23:06 you might wanna use mud blocks instead of grass or dirt.
23:09 And the reason for this is that mud blocks
23:10 are just one pixel smaller in their hit box
23:13 than grass or sand blocks.
23:14 And all that one pixel means
23:16 is that items are actually able to be pulled through
23:17 through a hopper.
23:18 And there you have it.
23:19 Just that simple change,
23:20 our whole farm design just got so much cheaper.
23:22 And not to mention the rates get better as well.
23:24 Really for the price of crafting a water bottle,
23:26 it's worth doing this at your next farm.
23:28 Let's say you need to move your pet dog,
23:29 but you don't wanna risk it dying
23:30 while you're running across the treacherous landscape.
23:32 Well, no worries, Razeworks has you covered.
23:34 Since by attaching your pet to a lead
23:36 and that lead to a fence post,
23:37 we can use a piston like this
23:39 so that when the item despawns,
23:41 then your pet will subtly teleport
23:42 that long distance just like that.
23:44 And through the help of a chunk loader like this one,
23:46 we can make sure that this design never unloads.
23:48 That way, with whatever timer you build,
23:50 it's gonna work just fine.
23:51 And most importantly,
23:52 it means your feline friend can travel thousands of blocks
23:54 all without having to move a muscle.
23:56 Can't say I'm not a little bit jealous.
23:57 If you live in a village, keep this one in mind.
24:00 Since by attaching an observer or pressure plate
24:02 next to your bed with a bell getting powered,
24:04 that would make sure that when we wake up,
24:05 the bell will ring and the villagers stay inside long enough
24:08 for the zombies to burn on the outskirts.
24:10 Otherwise, without this system,
24:11 they might go outside, get a few residual zombies,
24:14 and you'll have a couple of zombie villagers
24:16 burning out there as well.
24:17 So if you already killed the iron golem around here,
24:20 then the least you could do for the villager population
24:22 is put in this bell system.
24:23 And then we all avoid the rude awakening
24:25 of having your village be completely ransacked by zombies.
24:28 If you're able to find food on land, great,
24:30 but we're not always so lucky.
24:32 So instead, you might have a better chance
24:33 of going to find yourself a river
24:35 so that you can kill salmon.
24:36 For one, they're super easy to kill.
24:38 With just the right stone tool, you can kill one in one whack
24:40 and not to mention that even when you get rid
24:42 of all the salmon inside of the river,
24:44 when you come back later,
24:45 they do respawn inside of the water.
24:46 Oh, and they also have a small chance of dropping bone meal,
24:49 which can itself be useful in finding yourself
24:50 a food source that's renewable on land.
24:52 And look, I'm not someone who likes seafood,
24:54 but desperate times call for desperate measures.
24:56 Suspicious stew is a great food source,
24:58 but it's not great to craft,
25:00 especially when you can't stack them.
25:01 So if you can't easily hold onto a stack
25:03 of suspicious stew, the next best thing
25:05 is to get yourself a mooshroom.
25:06 Not just any one, but if you shock it with lightning,
25:09 sorry, little guy, and then feed it the flower
25:10 of your choice, preferably a dandelion
25:12 'cause it's the best one,
25:13 then that's how you get an infinite amount
25:14 of suspicious stew.
25:15 That worth mentioning is that the flower
25:17 only works once per.
25:18 So if you wanted 64 saturation suspicious stew,
25:21 you need 64 dandelions.
25:22 Luckily, those are easier to farm
25:24 than the other suspicious stew.
25:25 It's a simpler trade-off.
25:27 Skulk sensors are very useful,
25:28 but they're also very noticeable.
25:30 But if you want to keep their function
25:31 while losing that fidelity,
25:33 then it's worth noting that by waterlogging
25:34 a skulk sensor, then they'll be silent,
25:36 but still behave normally.
25:37 Now, granted, this doesn't make them entirely discreet
25:39 since the sound waves are still visible,
25:41 but as we can verify from the Minecraft subtitles,
25:44 there's no sound that's given off
25:45 from the skulk sensor itself when we do this.
25:47 But when you're trying to use a skulk sensor
25:48 for a hidden trap like this,
25:50 then anything you can do to make it less noticeable
25:52 is gonna go a long way.
25:54 After all, it just takes one little detail
25:55 for them to notice and the whole operation
25:57 to go belly up.
25:58 And for the price of a water bucket,
25:59 I'd rather stack those odds in our favor.
26:01 Whether you're playing on easy or hard mode,
26:03 mob proofing is an essential chore on your to-do list.
26:05 And while light level can work,
26:07 that isn't as much of an option in the nether.
26:09 So if you're trying to get piglins to stop spawning
26:11 in your travel tunnels or next to your fortress farm,
26:13 then an easy to get solution is a moss carpet.
26:15 Now, initially, it might seem ridiculous
26:17 to try and put vegetation next to lava,
26:19 but apparently moss carpet doesn't burn,
26:21 making it pretty ideal for the lava landscape.
26:23 Though I'd be remiss if I didn't mention
26:25 that even though this doesn't burn next to lava,
26:27 flowing lava will still break these
26:29 the same as flowing water.
26:30 But as long as you keep that in mind,
26:32 you'll be safe or safer, at least.
26:34 If you want to fix your item stream,
26:35 consider adding a slab in place.
26:37 Since this dock M showed off on Hermitcraft,
26:39 just adding one of these in can make it easier
26:41 for items to stack together.
26:42 And now the bone meal entities will wait
26:44 until they have enough mass to eventually get pushed over.
26:47 And that'll also help you to get some more space
26:48 in between your items,
26:49 which is definitely a plus when hoppers move so slowly.
26:52 And perhaps the real icing on top of all of this
26:55 is that when you have multiple item entities combined
26:57 into one single stacked item entity,
26:59 then that'll help to reduce lag as well,
27:00 which for the price of half a cobblestone block,
27:02 it's hard to say that isn't worth it.
27:04 Fire makes for a great decoration in your builds,
27:06 but fire spread could also ruin your builds.
27:09 So how do you find a happy medium?
27:10 Well, the answer comes with soul fire.
27:12 Since with this, even if fire tick is enabled,
27:14 it doesn't matter 'cause soul fire will never spread.
27:16 And while you do obviously change out the color
27:18 for this example, that's a small sacrifice
27:20 for keeping the rest of your base safe.
27:22 And come on, it's not like the blue fire
27:23 looks terrible anyway.
27:24 I really think that we're making an improvement
27:26 on both fronts.
27:27 And at the very least,
27:27 you can build that new fireplace in your house
27:29 without having to tear your hair out.
27:31 We all know bone meal can be a very useful tool to have,
27:33 but sometimes getting enough of it can be a real hassle.
27:36 So to keep your farms fueled and supplied going forward,
27:39 how about we get a bit more creative
27:40 and turn stone right into bone meal?
27:42 I know, that sounds crazy,
27:44 but as members of the community have found out,
27:46 we can use the new moss functionality
27:48 to turn stone generators into bone meal farms.
27:50 And just like that,
27:51 we've got a self-sustainable bone meal farm
27:53 that's sure to provide plenty more
27:55 for your farms in the future.
27:56 In job edition, we trade with piglins like this,
27:58 but on bedrock edition, we can do it so much faster.
28:01 And the reason for that is that if you place down
28:03 two observers to create an infinite clock
28:05 and then attach to that a sticky piston
28:06 with a gold block on top of it,
28:08 then when you throw the gold to the piglins to trade,
28:10 you'll see that they're trading
28:11 every single tick that's possible.
28:12 So if you've got enough gold to fund it,
28:14 I'd say pay up.
28:15 You get yourself quite the show.
28:16 With a pillar of scaffolding like so
28:18 and an observer up top,
28:19 we can effectively use this
28:20 to send redstone signals upward like so.
28:22 All we have to do is have a trapdoor
28:24 underneath the top of the scaffolding,
28:25 and that way, when the legs on the bottom one update,
28:28 that signal will move across the top of the system
28:30 until eventually it's detected by an observer
28:32 and we get the redstone signal up there.
28:34 Though I will mention that unlike using walls for this,
28:36 the higher the scaffolding, the longer the input delay.
28:39 But for the simplicity and compactness of this design,
28:41 I think it makes up for this trade-off and then some.
28:44 Now, nether portals are a necessity,
28:45 but I could do without the zombified piglins
28:47 spawning in them.
28:48 So if you're like me and you're also sick
28:50 of those unwanted visitors,
28:51 then with just a turtle-like place like so,
28:53 we can bait them away from the portal.
28:54 So sure, it doesn't stop them from spawning,
28:56 but I'd rather treat the problem
28:58 than learn how to live with it.
28:59 And as long as the turtle leg
29:00 isn't placed on a beach to grow up,
29:01 it's not gonna hatch
29:02 and the baby turtle won't object to it either.
29:04 And if you take the setup from the piglin farm
29:06 and switch out the gold block for a lightning rod,
29:08 then when you throw a channeling trident on top,
29:10 every time that it goes up and down,
29:12 it'll strike lightning right on the source,
29:14 giving you an infinite lightning farm
29:16 and a workplace hazard if you step too close,
29:18 which you can then use as a mob converter of sorts.
29:21 Or if you're crazy, you could do like we did
29:22 and kill the weather with lightning.
29:23 It just might take a few attempts.
29:25 Having chests that we can put in our boats is a great thing,
29:27 but you might be better using a llama instead,
29:29 since not only will a max storage llama
29:31 still let us have some storage,
29:32 but we can also put a front on the back of the llama
29:34 and keep up the same number of seats.
29:36 That way we're not trading containers for company.
29:38 Don't worry about getting yourself an iron sword.
29:40 Instead, with just three stone and some sticks,
29:42 stone axe will do you much better.
29:44 And if you're able to critical hit
29:45 and time your attacks just right,
29:47 you can easily kill off a lot of mobs.
29:49 And partnered with that shield that you just crafted,
29:51 now you'll be covered in both the offense
29:53 and the defense.
29:54 All without having to get more than a single piece of iron.
29:56 When 1.14 rolled around,
29:58 bamboo gave us a very solid way
30:00 to defend our bases from enemies.
30:01 With its weird hitbox,
30:03 we're able to walk through just fine,
30:04 but the mob AI struggles a bit to make it past the chutes,
30:07 which is great,
30:08 but a bamboo barricade doesn't fit in every build.
30:10 So luckily we've got something
30:11 a bit more metal to use instead.
30:13 Through the help of the copper lightning rods,
30:15 we can place a couple of these down
30:16 and get ourselves a mob proof gate.
30:18 And hey, if you think about it,
30:19 they basically turn into an electric fence as well.
30:22 Though maybe that's better at fending off zombies
30:24 than creepers.
30:25 But with a cat to keep those away,
30:26 and this safety solution is definitely worth a try.
30:28 If you're playing on bedrock edition
30:30 and hold down shift and jump at the same time
30:31 on your keyboard,
30:32 that is to start placing down blocks,
30:33 it's possible to build a tower 16 blocks high,
30:36 all without ever leaving the ground.
30:37 Which at that point,
30:38 why would you ever need scaffolding?
30:40 This seemed to do the trick just fine.
30:41 At first glance, this jump seems impossible.
30:43 And really it should be.
30:44 But the truth is that if you happen to turn 45 degrees
30:47 exactly while you're midair in the jump,
30:49 then that'll let you jump 2% further
30:50 than you would normally.
30:51 Which sounds imperceptible,
30:53 but it's enough to make this jump.
30:55 Though I can't stress enough how difficult this is to do.
30:57 I mean, that's why we featured
30:58 in the possible skills video.
31:00 Without the help of something like a mod like Tweakeroo,
31:02 I'd have no chance of pulling this off.
31:03 But if you can, it just might help you in a pitch.
31:05 Whether you're playing a game of manhunt
31:07 or trying to prank your friend,
31:08 everyone loves a good trap.
31:10 And with the help of the dripstone falling entity,
31:12 we can make a particularly effective one.
31:14 As it's coded,
31:15 a dripstone falling from a height of 40 blocks
31:17 will do the maximum amount of damage.
31:19 Though, as soon as it goes through an end portal,
31:21 the fall height doesn't reset.
31:22 But rather, whoever goes through the gate next
31:24 to meet quite the deadly surprise in the other end.
31:26 Even with a diamond helmet,
31:27 the odds are that your friend's still gonna get skewered
31:29 the same way.
31:30 So if you're looking to make the end off limits,
31:32 then a couple of stalactites might just finish the job.
31:35 You can't see it, but there's a hidden ladder here.
31:37 And it's not one that we made with sticks,
31:39 but rather with the way that vines and maps overlap,
31:41 we can mix together an item frame and a map
31:43 to make our vines completely invisible
31:45 and the map climbable.
31:46 Which could make it easier to do something
31:48 like building out your large map on a wall.
31:50 Or better yet, for a hidden entrance.
31:52 And you don't even have to go that far.
31:53 You want a reason to do this?
31:54 Not only your friends can rotate that map part
31:56 to make it look bad,
31:57 since the vines hitbox is slightly larger
31:59 than the item frames.
32:00 And when you got destructive friends like me,
32:02 that's worth the price of a mission on its own right.
32:04 Instead of using chests, use barrels instead.
32:07 Since for one, they're cheaper to craft,
32:08 they cost you one less plank for each recipe,
32:11 and they're also great for small bases.
32:12 Since even if you have a solid block on top of them,
32:15 you're still able to open them up.
32:16 And while we can't double their size
32:18 like we would a regular chest,
32:19 it's also important to note that if you get a lot of these,
32:21 they aren't rendered as entities like the rest of the chests.
32:24 So they cause a lot less lag
32:25 if you build yourself a barrel monster
32:27 instead of a chest monster.
32:28 Now I know that composters don't seem
32:29 like the most helpful of items,
32:31 but that might just be because you're using it wrong.
32:33 Since what you need to understand is that
32:34 the first item that you put into the composter
32:36 is always guaranteed to fill up the first level.
32:38 And that's regardless of the item that you're composting.
32:41 So if you want the maximum efficiency
32:42 when you're using your composter for bone meal,
32:44 first put in an item with a low chance of composting
32:46 for the first stage,
32:47 and then use higher chance items like pumpkin pie
32:50 for the rest of the way.
32:50 That way you're saving these higher chance items
32:52 for they're actually useful,
32:54 which might not make composters the most useful block yet,
32:56 but even if they're not useful,
32:58 at least you know how to use them now.
32:59 Most players think of doors as just that, a door.
33:02 But folks, there's so much more than that.
33:04 Since in Java edition,
33:05 you can use these doors for some pretty important things.
33:07 Like if you're underwater,
33:08 you can place one of these down
33:09 and have yourself a standing safe bubble of air.
33:12 Or you can also place one of these down
33:13 and use it to confuse hostile mobs
33:15 that are coming towards you.
33:16 For example, if you're in a cave
33:17 and a skeleton starts shooting at you,
33:19 place down the door
33:20 and the mob's probably gonna lose track of you.
33:22 And if you flip the door just right,
33:23 we can actually use this to scale up a two block tall jump,
33:26 helping you get out of a cramped space or up to a new one.
33:29 Terraforming a biome is not a simple task,
33:31 which is too bad because there really are some great results
33:34 to changing around and creating your own custom biome.
33:36 So why don't we try and find the easy way out?
33:38 So for the sake of an example,
33:40 how about we try to take the gray hues
33:41 out of a mushroom fields biome,
33:43 make them a bit more colorful.
33:44 And for that, moss is a classic candidate.
33:47 Since this block loves to replace the ones around it,
33:49 all we need is a ton of bone meal
33:50 and plenty of dedication to get the job done.
33:52 And just like so, we can transform fungus to flora
33:55 and make this biome a lot more lush to see.
33:58 And hopefully the mushrooms will like it as much as we do.
34:00 If you're looking for the fastest way to mine in Minecraft,
34:02 then you're gonna need this on your leggings.
34:04 Since even though dive mining has become less popular
34:06 since its inclusion,
34:07 with the addition of the Swift Sneak enchantment,
34:09 now it's worth doing again because the name's misleading.
34:12 It doesn't just give you a Swift Sneak,
34:13 but also gives you a Swift Crawl.
34:15 And with Swift Sneak 3 on our leggings,
34:17 we can get some real speed while mining
34:18 a one block tall tunnel.
34:20 So as long as you don't have claustrophobia,
34:21 it's worth adding to your to-do list.
34:23 At the very least, it gives you a reason
34:24 to go down to the ancient cities,
34:26 because if we're being honest,
34:27 the recovery compass isn't worth it.
34:29 Instead of planting your crops outside,
34:31 you should tuck them down in a cave.
34:32 Now I know, crops need light and sunshine and all that,
34:34 but that's actually the point.
34:36 Since if you were to plant your crop farm
34:37 underneath a redstone lamp like this,
34:39 then when it's time to harvest,
34:40 all you gotta do is flip a lever on that switch
34:42 and all of the crops will be harvested in an instant.
34:45 At which point you can turn back on the light,
34:46 plant all your crops,
34:47 and get ready to do the same again next week.
34:49 Making Minecraft builds automatic
34:51 can often be a tough problem to solve.
34:53 At the very least, it's not usually that compact.
34:55 But Drip Leaf might just be the golden opportunity.
34:58 Now, clearly, when you stand on these for too long,
35:00 they're sure to give away to gravity.
35:02 But what you might not know
35:03 is that if you stand put just like such,
35:05 then it's possible to use this as a time trap door
35:08 and put the player right into a crawl position.
35:10 So if you took that time to wait around,
35:11 you might just notice that the entrance
35:13 to a crawl space base was right underneath eye level.
35:16 And folks, this is just barely scratching the surface
35:18 for an implementation.
35:19 And I'll leave the rest for creative people like you.
35:22 Ender pearls are great for teleporting.
35:23 That's literally what they're there for.
35:25 Usually that's just a place that you can see.
35:27 However, if you were to line up your crosshair
35:29 just like this and throw an ender pearl
35:30 right at the base of the two blocks,
35:32 we can actually use this to walk through solid walls.
35:35 And not just with the transparent blocks either,
35:37 since if the wall's only one block thick,
35:39 you can walk through just about anything this way.
35:41 Just keep in mind that you are gonna take some damage
35:43 from the ender pearl.
35:44 But for an easy way to get out of dodge,
35:46 this could save you a chase scene.
35:47 In a lot of ways,
35:48 deserts can make great locations for bases.
35:51 You don't have to worry about constant weather changes.
35:53 And there are so many different sandstone blocks
35:55 that there's plenty of variety to choose from.
35:56 Though their oasis qualities leave something to be desired.
35:59 I mean, who would want to live in a place
36:01 with grass like this?
36:02 I understand it's accurate,
36:04 but most of the time it just looks gross.
36:06 Though while the grass color map
36:07 isn't changing anytime soon,
36:09 we do have a new green block to play with.
36:11 Through the help of the moss block,
36:12 we can make desert grass that actually looks green and lush.
36:15 And hey, the same goes for using azalea leaves
36:17 instead of the regular ones.
36:18 And needless to say, this is what you should be growing.
36:21 Instamine tools are usually something
36:22 we associate with late game.
36:24 I mean, most of the time,
36:25 you're not even getting this without Haste 2
36:26 and Efficiency 5.
36:28 Or you could just use bone meal.
36:29 No joke, with the new moss feature,
36:31 it's possible to turn stone and deep slate
36:33 into some of the easiest blocks to break in the game.
36:35 And from there, you don't even need a netherite pickaxe.
36:38 Just a stone hoe is all you need to dig these blocks.
36:40 So as we start spending a lot more time
36:42 clearing out the depths below,
36:43 it might be worthwhile to bring some of this compost
36:45 down in the caves.
36:46 And besides, you can't even instamine deep slate
36:48 with a beacon, so this is no doubt the best option to use.
36:52 And with that, folks,
36:53 YouTube thinks that you might like this video.
36:54 So see if they're right and have a good one, all right?
