00:00 The key to financial prosperity lies in the government achieving the basic income when Malaysia becomes a dark country, says the Employment Savings Group.

00:13 Executive Director of KWSP, Ahmad Sukhainan On, said the group wants more people to achieve the basic income goal and suggested that in order to achieve this goal, the people can increase their income at will.

00:28 He said the KWSP strategy addresses the problem of shortage of savings, a shortage of savings for employment and he encouraged people to strive to achieve the basic income goal.

00:41 He said the situation is worrying when only 17% of people aged 51 to 55 achieve basic income.

00:52 Sukhainan said the KWSP is also looking for ways to strengthen employment security involving informal workers, as it is becoming an increasingly developing phenomenon.
