00:00 PTV is back with news now.
00:03 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has helped a lot
00:08 in speeding up the process to clean the contaminated fish in the Oriental Mindoro
00:14 even in distributing aid to the affected fishermen.
00:18 Oriental Mindoro Governor Humedito Dolor said
00:23 that because of the President's order,
00:25 there was coordination between the national and local government
00:29 that's why there was a quick and unobstructed movement
00:32 from the Coast Guard and the groups that helped in cleaning the sea,
00:37 in organizing the LGUs to arrange and combine the list of those in need of help
00:44 until the aid was distributed from the national government.
00:48 The Governor also added that the role of the government's watchdog
00:53 was a result of the oil spill that happened in Gibaras Island in Western Visayas in 2006.
01:01 Because of the coordination of the officials in the national and local government,
01:07 there was no duplication in implementing the policies and procedures.
01:12 Also, the aid was distributed faster because it was centralized.
01:18 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured that the government is ready
01:23 to give all the support to the rebels who will return home.
01:28 As for the aid that will be given to the house, life, school infrastructure and others,
01:35 it is still in the middle of the government's efforts to convince the remaining rebels who have returned to society.
01:42 The President also added that the government's campaign against the loose firearms continues.
01:48 The government is not seeing the price of LPG rising for the month of March.
01:54 According to Energy Director Rino Abad, they are still expecting a rollback on the price of LPG
02:02 which if not, this March will start in April and will continue until September.
02:08 In the new program of the Philippines, Abad explained that this is because the winter season
02:14 in the countries in the Northern Hemisphere is ending and it is now heading to the spring and summer season.
02:20 It is only reasonable to expect a decrease in the demand for LPG from the global market
02:25 which will result in a decrease in its price.
02:29 And those are the news for this time.
