00:03 Preview to game yesterday, Casey, between the Avalanche and the Blackhawks.
00:06 It was a monster favor, closing over as a -300 pricier, but
00:10 they easily dispatched of the Blackhawks 5-0, which included Nathan McKinnon.
00:14 Two points in that, which included a goal and an assist.
00:17 Any takeaway from this game, or
00:18 just as expected, the Avalanche was supposed to roll and they did?
00:21 >> Yeah, the Avalanche actually, I'm gonna have to give them their roses.
00:25 I think the last couple times I've had a chance to chat with you guys,
00:28 I haven't really been a fan of theirs.
00:31 But they pulled off some tremendous wins versus the top teams over in the west
00:35 there, they were able to pull off a win versus the Stars and the Canucks.
00:38 Look, scoring is not their problem.
00:40 They just have weaknesses when it comes to their face-off circle.
00:43 They have weaknesses when it comes to their defense.
00:45 Goal tending has been spotty, as I've said, all season long.
00:49 But if it wasn't for
00:50 Anaman last night, there's a couple goals that the Blackhawks would have gone and
00:53 it would have been a completely different game.
00:55 Connor Bedard alone had well over six scoring chances.
00:58 So that's just something to keep a close eye on when looking at this game,
01:02 especially when it comes to playoff and Stanley Cup conversations.
01:05 They're not protecting their back end well enough to compete,
01:08 in my personal opinion.
01:09 But when you've got Nathan McKinnon posting 100 points,
01:12 you got Miko Rantanen right there behind him.
01:14 And of course, a great defenseman in Kael McCarr.
01:16 You're gonna make waves, but I'm still just not sold on the Avalanche.
