00:00 Raquel Levis has filed a lawsuit against Tom Sandoval and R.A. Nomadics for eavesdropping,
00:04 revenge porn, invasion of privacy, and emotional distress.
00:07 This new lawsuit comes as a shocking bombshell to many.
00:10 Now as many recall, Levis was a previous cast member on the show and had a secret
00:17 relationship with Tom Sandoval during season 10 of Vanderpump Rules while he was dating fellow
00:21 cast member R.A. Nomadics. The sensation took Bravo by storm and now one year later after
00:26 Sandoval, many can't stop talking about this new development. It's Alan Wani reporting.
00:30 Now in this new lawsuit filed in Los Angeles, California on Thursday,
00:32 the Vanderpump Rules alum stated she was seeking "unspecified damages"
00:36 and her taking former Bravo co-stars to court on allegations of eavesdropping,
00:39 revenge porn, and invasion of privacy. The document, obtained by What's Trending,
00:43 claims that the events of Sandoval "captured the public's attention in a massive way"
00:47 and went viral in a way that "caused mayhem in Levis's life in the form of months-long
00:51 voluntary treatment at a mental health facility and her eventual departure from the show."
00:55 In conjunction with Bravo, Evolution Media, and the rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast,
00:59 Levis states she was subjected to a "public skewering" and became
01:02 "one of the most hated women in America." In addition, the former beauty queen makes
01:06 clear her morally objectable actions and notes the numerous apologies she's issued to Maddox,
01:11 but claims there was "more to the story" that was lost amid the scandal.
01:14 Now, Levis actually says she was "a victim of predatory and dishonest behavior of an older man"
01:20 who filmed sexually explicit videos "without her knowledge or consent."
01:23 She further claims that the recordings were distributed, disseminated,
01:26 and discussed publicly by a "scorned woman seeking vengeance."
01:29 Amid the fallout, the lawsuit claims that the Rachel Goes Rogue host was misled by Bravo
01:34 and Evolution into believing she was "contractually barred" from speaking about her ongoing mistreatment.
01:39 It alleges that Levis also "suffered in silence as a result from other parties involved with
01:44 Sandoval," while others reaped "unseen levels of public recognition and professional opportunity."
01:50 In the end, Levis seeks that Maddox and Sandoval cease distribution and destroy all copies made
01:54 of the alleged explicit video. She also asks for attorney fees to be compensated and the
01:58 court provide other and further relief deemed as "just and proper."
