The new Dell XPS laptops are here! While these are all-new products, they share a striking similarity to the Dell XPS 13 Plus — which might be a controversial move on Dell’s part. We take a look at the Dell XPS 13, Dell XPS 14 and Dell XPS 16 and see how they differ from the XPS 13 Plus and what new features you can expect — including on-device AI, a shaper webcam, an updated capacitive function row and more.

00:00 We're here with Dell at CES 2024 to check out the brand new XPS laptops
00:04 The plus is gone, but it lives on in spirit. Let's find out what's going on
00:09 All right, so I know what you're thinking Tony. That's the Dell XPS plus why you holding an old laptop?
00:16 No, this is actually the brand new XPS 13
00:19 No plus just 13
00:21 but obviously it shares a lot of the same design language if not all design language of the 13 plus you have
00:28 Effectively a hidden touchpad here. It's still here and I can't convey this in video
00:33 but you can still feel it still haptics and you get the
00:35 Capacitive row here in terms of resolution. The 13-inch has 3k moving on up the 14-inch has
00:42 3.2k and lastly the 16-inch has 4k
00:47 So you have a wide range of options and I personally think the resolutions match their respective screen sizes
00:54 Another really cool thing about the Dell XPS line is that at launch?
00:58 They're gonna have a dedicated Windows copilot mode
01:01 So you can just click on that and have Microsoft's AI help you out with all your computing tasks
01:07 very cool stuff in terms of
01:09 Computing power all of these laptops have an H processor
01:13 So you're gonna not lose anything there with the 13-inch you're just gonna have integrated graphics
01:18 Which is decent enough if you want to do some light gaming, but nothing too heavy
01:22 Starting with the 14-inch laptop and a 16-inch you can have integrated graphics in video
01:27 So even though these aren't dedicated gaming laptops, you still play a lot of modern games at great resolution at high settings
01:35 Even though you can't see the touchpad you instinctively know where it is as for the function row
01:42 It is interesting that all of these are still not
01:45 Exactly buttons, but they also have haptic as well
01:50 So right here, we're actually checking out the new 1080p webcam. It actually is a lot sharper
01:55 I'm noticing it just myself like not only is it sharper
01:58 But the colors are a lot more vibrant than before and this is for all the XPS laptops now, which is really cool
02:04 Now I know that the Dell XPS plus design has been controversial
02:09 But I personally am glad that all the new XPS laptops share that design language
02:15 But if you feel differently
02:16 Please let me know in the comments below for everything else that Tom's guy is doing at CES
