A cat named Sprout is recovering at Brook Farm Cattery, Hindley Green, after suffering awful injuries to its legs. Sprout has been nursed back to health by volunteers from animal rescue Andrea's Legacy, staff at Atherton Vets Practice and Brook Farm Cattery and looking for a forever home.

00:00 I'm Beth Southworth and this is my daughter Emily Southworth. I own Brook Farm Catteray in Himley Green.
00:10 I'm a boarding catterer but I do also help rescues.
00:16 And we help Andrea's legacy who brought Sprout in. He's about five to six years old.
00:22 He came in with an open wound on his leg. We think a dog had got him. So we had to wash his leg out, keep it clean, sanitise it.
00:34 He's a really lovely cat. He was friendly when he first came in.
00:39 He was under Aberdeen Vets and they did a fantastic job with him.
00:44 He was treated there and then he came here for his aftercare and twice a day we had to rinse it out with saline water, clean his eye.
00:58 He's been fantastic, hasn't he? Having his treatment. He's never bit or scratched once. He's just so beautiful.
01:07 I've fallen in love with him and at the moment he's living in my house. I would really like to keep him but I've already got 11 cats.
01:19 And you take a lot of rescues in so she needs the room to take more rescues in.
01:25 And they'd be very lucky to have Sprout because he's such a lovely cat.
01:30 I'm Jen Wilson. Some people know me as the Charity Artist on Facebook.
01:35 I met Kim nearly 12 months ago. She helped me catch a feral cat that had escaped outside the vets.
01:44 Kim is Andrea's legacy. She is an amazing lady.
01:50 The work that she does, she works full time and gives up every minute of her free time to help as many, not just cats, dogs, rabbits as she possibly can.
02:04 This started out more as helping people on benefit, on low incomes to have their pets neutered and microchipping.
02:16 But now it's more evolved into more of like a little rescue.
02:22 Obviously Brute Farm have been amazing. They've allowed us to put cats in the cattery which is brilliant.
02:28 There's a couple of people that foster as well. And my role is to fundraise.
02:35 I paint things and do craft furs to help raise the money to pay for the vets bill which are just never ending.
02:42 There are just so many cats being abandoned at the moment, dogs.
02:47 It's just a constant message coming to the page where people just can't have the pets any longer.
02:56 Which some of it you can put down to the cost of living definitely.
03:00 But Kim is the kind of person that just doesn't say no to people.
03:04 And she will find a way to help people as much as she possibly can.
03:09 She is just one in a million. She really is.
03:14 We're all good friends who work together. Me and Catherine do quite a few things together as well on the page.
03:21 We have an auction at the minute and we do raffles as well.
03:26 So if this attracts more followers to the page that would be amazing.
03:31 And if people did want to make any donations that would also be amazing.
