Woman left with “serious injuries” after gas explosion rips through terraced home

A woman has been rushed to hospital with “serious injuries” after a massive gas explosion ripped through a terraced home.
The victim, in her 70s, is believed to have suffered “significant burns” in the blast, which destroyed the two-bed property in Bury, Grtr. Manchester.
Shocking video shared on social media showed the roughly £100,000 home engulfed with 6m (20ft) high flames following the explosion shortly before 11am today (Wed).
And subsequent footage revealed dozens of firefighters attempting to tame the raging inferno, which sent thick black smoke shooting up into the sky around it.
