00:04 I'm here today as part of Extinction Rebellion UK and we're here because the insurance industry
00:10 has a unique opportunity to stop climate and ecological breakdown because if they stop
00:18 insuring fossil fuel projects and fossil fuel infrastructure and fossil fuel companies then
00:26 those companies and projects can't exist because without insurance they can't function.
00:32 So we are here to tell them to stop insuring all new fossil fuel projects.
00:39 In that way they can actually become climate heroes. They have the opportunity to change
00:45 the course of history. So it's meant to be a very positive action. We've been talking to a lot of
00:51 people outside here from the insurance industry and they've actually largely been really positive.
01:01 They've been really engaging with us.
01:03 What would you say to anyone who's maybe frustrated at your protests or opposes what you're here to do?
01:11 I'd just say maybe try to hear us. We're here for a better future and we're here for a good cause.
01:20 If they're frustrated at the protests it probably means that they don't want to give up whatever
01:25 privilege they have with whatever money or status. But we are frustrated at them too and I think that
01:35 we can work together and they have a lot of powers in their hands, insurance companies, to build a
01:41 better future so they can be with us. I don't really understand why people are frustrated at
01:46 climate activists. I don't get it.
