Synopsis :
Entre le petit garçon Ethan et son chien Bailey, c'est une belle histoire d'amitié. L'animal voit celui-ci grandir, tomber amoureux. Mais les années passent et Bailey devient vieux. Il se réincarne dans la peau d'un autre chien. Il devient le partenaire de travail d'un policier. Ses vies s'enchaînent avec d'autres personnes. Et à chaque fois, il en apprend plus sur lui et les êtres humains. Jusqu'au jour où il recroise le chemin d'Ethan qui a atteint la soixantaine. La vie sentimentale de ce dernier est compliquée. Bailey va tenter de lui prêter main forte....
